- Frank (9/5): Good value for money with very friendly staff - Good classic Best Western designed rooms. Our room looked like recently renovated and was very clean. The check-in staff was very friendly and helpful. At the checkout we did ask for help, as the mountain pass we wanted to use to drive to Lom was just closed in the morning. The owner suggested a route which was one hour shorter than the one I wanted to take. All good.

- Gry (9/5): Flott hotell med deilig frokost og hyggelig personale - Deilig frokost med et rikt utvalg av det man måtte ønske seg. Veldig hyggelig personale. Sentral beliggenhet i Sogndal. Store rom, lite bad. Deilig dusj. Det var veldig varmt på rommet ved ankomst, og kun 1 panelovn som kunne reguleres. For oss ble det alt for varmt for å kunne sove i, så dermed måtte vinduene åpnes. Da ble det selvsagt veldig kaldt på rommet når det var - 7 grader ute. Hadde foretrukket at varmen kunne reguleres bedre.

- Jef (9/5): Lovely staff and comfortable rooms made for an excellent stay - The owners are so sweet as well as all of the staff. The breakfast in the mornings is fresh and tasty. We were impressed by the size of the rooms and slept very comfortably there. The front side of the hotel is quite noisy on weekends from drunk locals walking around to nearby bars. The backside of the hotel was quiet though.

Perfect location for walking round Sogndal and exploring further afield. Staff absolutely lovely especially Lynn who looked after us really well and was just delightful. Breakfast fabulous.

- Sebastian (9/5): Perfekter Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen in der Region. - Ich war bereits zum dritten Mal in diesem Hotel und das sagt ja eigentlich schon alles. Es hat nicht die modernste Ausstattung aber ist immer sehr sauber. Das Personal ist überaus freundlich und das Essen ist auch sehr gut. Das Frühstück zeigt sich mit einer ausreichend großen Vielfältigkeit. Ich bin gern zu Gast dort und starte meine Aktivitäten von da aus.

- Andreas (8/5): - Dauer: 3 Nächte Mitte August 2025 - Lage: Ziel unserer Reise waren die Gletscher Boyabreen (ca. 30-40 Min. Autofahrt) und vorab Norsk Bremuseum sowie der Nigardsbreen (ca. 1 Std. Autofahrt) und vorab Stop im Breheimsenteret, dafür war die Lage ok; ansonsten bietet der Ort selbst nicht allzuviel - Personal: sehr freundlich, u. E. familiengeführt, hilfsbereit, immer ansprechbar - Sauberkeit: sehr gut - Zimmer: ausreichende Größe, TV, Wasserkocher (Instant Kaffee, Tee,) Kaffee auch im Restaurantbereich verfügbar, Safe; Zimmer waren u. E. kürzlich renoviert worden - Lobby sehr dunkel, aber durchaus gemütlich, Restaurant deutlich moderneres Flair, hell, grosszügig (zwischen den Tischen reichlich Platz) - Fahrstuhl: (sehr) altes Modell mit Charme, aufgrund der originär/altersbedingt fehlenden Kabinentür wohl bei uns kaum noch mit Chancen auf Betrieb (passte zum Ambiente, für uns positiv) - Frühstück mit ordentlicher Auswahl und Qualität (Obst, Konfitüren, Rührei, Spiegelei, unterschiedliche Wurst- und Käsesorten, Quark/Joghurt, Cerealien, Säfte, Kaffeesorten, Milchsorten) - Restaurant: Preis (für norwegische Verhältnisse)/Leistung gut, als Büffet (2x Fleisch, 1x Fisch zur Auswahl, Beilagen, Salat, Dessert, Säfte und Kaffee & Co. im Preis enthalten); wir haben an allen Abenden dort gegessen und konnten uns die Suche nach einem anderen Restaurant sparen - Lärm: ruhige Lage, keine Beeinträchtigungen - Parken: direkt vor dem Hotel öffentl. Parkplätze (gebührenpflichtig 8-17Uhr, per EasyPark-App bezahlbar, w/der zeitl. Einschränkungen für die Gebühren absolut günstig, da wir tagsüber mit dem Auto unterwegs waren) - lt. Beschreibung Waschsalon/Wäscheservice: vorhanden Wäscheservice, d. h. Abgabe an der Rezeption, das Personal wäscht diese dann, kommt allerdings unsortiert und ziemlich geknittert wieder zurück

The room was clean and offered a picturesque view of the village. Just a three-minute walk brought us to the amazing fjord. We loved our stay and would gladly come back again. Thank you, Hidi!
