Guest Reviews
- G9571ZNbillyb (10/5): HOLIDAYS solo - I stay at Alecos every year. I can definitely recommend it. Rooms are nice and clean daily. All staff are so friendly and helpful. Pool is a bonus, which is small but clean. Will come back next year for more great memories. Thank you Alecos for wanting after me,
- H2762TElisam (10/5): Best holiday as always - I’ve been coming to this hotel for over 7 years with my husband and our daughter I’m here now and can’t fault it at all, I don’t understand these bad reviews it’s not right as I know this hotel go above and beyond to help with anything you need ect we also don’t hire a safe as there’s no need to here we’ve left really valuable items in the room on show and never anything has gone missing also people complaining about the noise surely you must of known as it states the area and close by entertainment ect this isn’t the hotels fault that music is loud near by maybe if anyone wants a quite holiday don’t stay in the heat of Paphos
Our rooms have always been clean and changed bedding and towels
Pool area is good and never known it to be dirty
I got here on the 10th November 2025 and don’t leave until 29th November
I can not fault this hotel at all
Also the acts here are fantastic especially one called Ben mills not to be missed on a Monday night fantastic act
- Walterholidays (10/5): Excellent value, simple but very clean - We stayed for 2 weeks in a one bedroom apartment in Block B and had a great time. Alecos' location is spot on, the Friends bar at the front is excellent and the apartment is basic but extremely clean and serviced daily.
The air con (in bedroom) is good, the balcony is small but fine (table & 2 chairs fit) the sofa was clean and comfortable, kitchen appliances fine for snacks. The bed was comfortable with clean bedding changed after one week.
Only area I'd suggest to improve on is the towels are a bit old and frayed (though clean) All in all it is ideal and excellent value for money. Thanks to all the hardworking staff.
- nathancM3033JN (10/5): Fantastic Hotel, great staff. - We visited hotel in October for 14 days and my friends parents came out 4 days later for 10 days. Place was recommended buy my friends parents John and Carol, who have visited this hotel for 5 years, and absolutely love it. Totally agree with them, place is lovely, rooms are good sized cleaned daily fresh towels replaced every 3rd day or when asked. Food was great, staff were so friendly, really make you feel welcome and very attentive to your needs. Different show every night, saw Elvis he was so good. Would recommend this hotel to anyone, centrally located only few mins walk to harbour. Don’t listen to much to negative reviews, you can’t please everyone but for the cost it’s 5 star. Thanks for making my holiday a good one, see you soon, Nathan
- ZoeLAL (4/5): Very basic rooms, thread bare towels, poor pool area and lots of night time noise. - I’m not sure where to begin.
We arrived around 9pm, to a very busy and loud bar area (you have to walk through the bar to reception)
We got hackled off the entertainment for walking through, once at reception got greater by a Scottish gentleman, who seemed friendly enough. Took us to the bottom of the stairs of where our room was and that was it.
Once in the room our hopes slipped a little further. Tatty decor, thread bare towels. Broken/dirty flooring in main living are and bed room. (Only saving grace was the bathroom was relatively new so seemed clean and tidy)
Living space and bedroom were tatty and definitely in need of a lot of TLC.
Air con is extra money, safe is extra money.
There is no hair dryer, and the kitchenette is very very basic. There was very little to be pleased about in the room, unfortunately.
We also found out the Jet2’s ‘close to nightlife’ meant its next door to a night club. And there’s another several bars (along with the hotel bar ‘friends’ being extremely loud)
The night club is around about 10pm-5am working hours. The bar downstairs has loud entertainment also late into the night. So over all a really bad place to be if your looking for chilled out relaxing holiday.
We also had issues with bedding and towels not being changed. After 4 nights we still didn’t have clean bedding or towels. So I went to reception asking for new towels and explained nothing had been changed. The lady was nice and explained we should have been changed every 3 nights and explained nothing had been done. The cleaners kept hanging our towels on the balcony! The cleaner then turned up within a few minutes apologised, told me there was someone off sick and had too much to do, replaced our towels and left. The next day (day 5) we came back to fresh bedding and that’s all we had within the week we were there.
The swimming pool. Well what can I say.
I wasn’t expecting to use the pool due to it being November but on first inspection I was 99% sure I would have died getting into it. It was green. And I mean green! The sun loungers around the pool seemed in poor condition off with the umbrellas.
You also have to go through the car park to get to the pool as it’s in a tiny little back corner (weirdest pool placement I have ever know)
However the pool did seem to get cleaned at some point during the week as I went over to have another look and looked like a little bit of TLC had been done.
Honestly my overall opinion of this hotel is to avoid.
The saving grace for it was the location as you were on the front of paphos within a 5 minute walk.
But unfortunately Alecos has nothing else great to offer.
We had a drink in the friends bar on a night(once) and on our departure day we had some food. The food was really quite good from the meal we had, but cannot comment on anything else.
Staff seemed polite enough, but never felt welcomed by them.
Unfortunately for me the hotel just wasn’t good. And I don’t understand the 3 star rating it receives at all.
- J7441HYpaulg (4/5): Disappointed Thieves Operating in the hotel - I normally don't write bad reviews and it pains me to have to write this but I think its only fair that what we encountered is aired
Hotel itself is a bit dated but was nice and clean no issue with that and maid service was daily and the little old lady that did ours was lovely.Bar downstairs was OK food was fine entertainment was hit and miss although the Elvis show was fantastic
Now on to my issues our room was robbed but there was not a visible sign of a break in all windows were locked all doors were locked so it had to be someone with a key or access to a key.
now on to the things that were stolen
1:a pair of prescription sunglasses and case no use to anyone
2:a cheap phone charger
3:a watch with a broken strap
4;a large bag of crisps
5;a packet of mints
6:a packet of coffee beans
Because our valuables were locked in a safe I think the thief robbed the things out of spite most of them practically worthless.!
I went down to reception to report my glasses missing (we hadn't notice the other stuff then) was told have we mislaid er well no they have been taken was asked do I want the police I could have said yes but what was the point they probably wouldn't do anything so I said no.
The receptionist said the general mgr would be in soon and she would tell him and the cleaners, and this is where I got really pissed thinking the mgr would be after getting in touch to see what happened well that never happened total disinterest. The day we checked out the same receptionist asked did you find your glasses!!!!!!!!
So cannot recommend this place if they have thieves beware
Also the WIFI in our block was absolutely awful
- J5943BTgraces (10/5): Very good - Very clean rooms, the cleaners come everyday with fresh towels and bed linens. It’s a good location for the beach, bars and shops. Staff are very welcoming and create a friendly atmosphere. The value for money is impeccable, the rooms are basic but very well furnished and comfortable. Due to being in the heart of pathos harbour it can be slightly noisy on the balcony but once doors and windows are shut it is silent. 100% would recommend and come again!!!
- judester68 (10/5): Great - Spent 1 week in the Alecos apartments , absolutely fantastic.
Met with a warm welcome , fabulous staff and clean spacious apartment. Never disturbed by noise as I’d read in previous reviews. Perfect location.
Would definitely recommend.
Thank you George and the rest of the staff for a great holiday. Hope to see you all next year x
- crowman666 (6/5): No sleep - Went for a 10 days holidays hotel it self is fine but you dont get any sleep because of a night club that starts at 12.30 and dont finish till 5.30am so that is all you here from down the road no sleep not good great location it just the rainbow night club that spoils the holiday
- 218jillm (10/5): Hotel well kept rooms clean & tidy friends bar brilliant - Jill & Ray LEEDS
Alecos is a lovely hotel to stay its central for all amenities friends bar is underneath the hotel is fabulous. We stayed in a one bedroomed apartment which was very spacious the room was cleaned everyday .. the aircon was the best we have ever used in Paphos having been to Paphos on a number of occasions it had a turbo button on the remote I kid you not our room was freezing which was so nice as it was hot outside. Our balcony overlooked bar street please don’t be put off we never heard any music the full two weeks we were there its just a real friendly hotel and friends bar makes the stay at Alecos extra special a massive shout out to George and Airene who absolutely make Friends bar the go to bar in Paphos so friendly if I had one complaint it would be the pool area could do with a upgrade but it’s very peaceful.
- dglgkg (10/5): Dawn and Liam - Alecos apertments are basic but very clean and cleaned every day pool area maybe needs a bit work friends bar attached to the hotel is amazing George and his team were the best apartments are very central close to everything will definitely be back
- filipz465 (10/5): Central and Clean - Alecos Hotel Apartments are right in the middle of Paphos, which made my trip very easy. The apartment was clean, well maintained, and just what I needed for my stay.
- xarilaosx2025 (10/5): Enjoyable Experience - I really enjoyed staying at Alecos Hotel Apartments. The staff were helpful, the accommodation was clean, and I loved being right in the middle of Kato Paphos.
- elian136 (10/5): Great Choice in Paphos - Alecos is a great choice if you want to be close to everything. The apartment was comfortable and well looked after, and the central location was very convenient for sightseeing.
- kmnxt (10/5): Excellent Stay - I had an excellent stay at Alecos Hotel Apartments. The room was spacious and very clean, and the location in the center of Kato Paphos made it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and the harbour.
- domnas583 (10/5): Very Good Stay - I really enjoyed my stay at Alecos. The apartment was spacious, tidy, and comfortable. Being in the center meant I could explore everything on foot, which was very convenient.
- 974celiaw (10/5): Spacious and Convenient - The apartments at Alecos are surprisingly spacious and very well kept. The central location made exploring Kato Paphos so easy. I will definitely return on my next trip.
- Z6619QImarial (10/5): Apartment in the Heart of Paphos - I really enjoyed my stay at Alecos Hotel Apartments. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the apartment was well-maintained and comfortable. Being right in the center meant I could walk everywhere with ease.
- barbarawO586EP (10/5): Excellent Location and Comfortable Stay - Alecos Hotel Apartments is perfectly located in the center of Kato Paphos, just a short walk to the harbour, restaurants, and shops. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it an ideal place to stay. A great experience overall and highly recommended.
- anastasiaaX2661YP (10/5): Excellent Value in the Heart of Kato Paphos - Alecos Hotel Apartments is the perfect choice for budget-friendly accommodation in the heart of Kato Paphos. The location is excellent – everything is within walking distance, from the harbour to restaurants and shops. The apartments are clean, spacious, and comfortable, offering great value for money. For anyone looking for affordable accommodation without compromising on convenience, this is the best option. Highly recommend!
- X7815JWhelenh (4/5): 2 star hotel - very basic - We stayed in Alecos apartments the last week of August (3 friends). We arrived late and were checked in by a Scottish man (he wasn’t the most friendly towards three woman). Our ‘triple room’ was a studio apartment and was very small for three of us, barely enough space for our suitcases and storage. Bathroom small and shower cubicle very small (shower kept falling down mid shower). Kitchen area wasn’t the cleanest and a mismatch of utensils. Towels were changed every 2 days (although we asked a few times for a clean one daily) and were not white (more of a grey/yellow colour with various different hotel names on them).
Beds weren’t very comfortable and there was lots of noise early in the mornings from the residential homes it backed onto (dogs barking etc). Walls were thin and we could hear conversations from apartments next door. Balcony very small with only two chairs.
Pool area was ok, small and pool very warm. The people we met made our holiday and time spent there.
Good location, easy to sightsee. We rented bikes one morning which was great and cycled towards coral bay along a coastal path.
We decided to check in to another hotel for our final 3 days/ 2 nights there.
Not 3 star, more like 2 star as was so basic and not the cleanest.
- G9571ZNbillyb (10/5): Solo holiday - Alecos Hotel is a lovely place. I've been here several times already. All stuff is very helpful. Rooms are nice, tidy and clean. I'm definitely coming back.
- paulinegV7933ZE (4/5): Not quite 3 star but staff saved the holiday - We knew this holiday was budget 3 star and all in all it was ok. The hotel was clean and tidy but it pains me to say not 3 star. The studio was spacious and ample storage for the 2 of us. It is dated and the towels leave alot to be desired but changed every day and apartment cleaned every day. The crockery was a mishmash , there was no dish towel and you had tumblers so if you wanted a glass of wine...hahaha.The A/C was excellent and lots of hot water. The shower was good but the curtain just let water all over the floor. The bed was comfy enough but glad I didn't have to sleep on the sofa bed, was ok to sit on though.
Now be aware you are surrounded by pubs and clubs so from 7pm to 4am ..NO SLEEP the noise was bad and the vibration made our door to patio vibrate. Then at 7am a man was out with his leaf blower for ages. I would say great for those who want to party but not for a relaxing time.
The pool is small and needs a face lift, the water was like swimming in a bath not cooling which when it is 30 degrees plus its not much help. The water feature in the pictures on line doesn't work which is a shame. There are sun beds and parasols which are good. Unless you pay 55euros of extended stay in your room there is no facilities to shower or change clothes if you have a late flight and you have been out in the sun all day.
George and his staff are amazing, so helpful, friendly, sociable and would do anything for you.which made it bearable. The food is good in Friends Bar hot and plentiful. We don't usually do hotel entertainment but OMG ELVIS WAS AMAZING, certainly worth seeing.
There are lots of restaurants near by, I would recommend Delhi Gate great food and great price. Also Aphrodity Grill near the sea. NOT Imperial Chinese restaurant, poor food and over priced.
There is a small shop across the road which is handy for milk, water etc but a big supermarket a few minutes walk away.
We found shopping on par with UK not as cheap as before.
There is a beach close by but it is not where you would want to spend the day. Take the number 611 bus to Tomb of the Kings station then change to 615 to Coral Bay terminus if you want sandy shores. Also you can buy an all day bus ticket for 6.50 which is great value. There is a small shop and restaurant there and toilet with changing rooms, they are adequate for your needs .
Would I go back...sadly no, not because of the hotel but the noise unfortunately I cannot post the video of the noise
- 615allanam (10/5): Everything and more - The hotel had everything you needed very clean and close to everything. The bar below friends had great entertainment on every night and staff are amazing would recommend to everyone
- FellowTraveler747652 (10/5): Great hotel - Excellent location, was a bit wary about booking due to reading reviews about noise, but we had no problem with noise atall as the bar does not stay open to daft o'clock like some , food in the bar is excellent and big portions , George and the team could not fault them one bit , great entertainment on a night , Elvis , Freddie , Ben are a must to see . rooms clean and tidy and everything you will need only downside towels not changed daily but can pay for extra if needed , shop on the corner is 24hr and not far from a big supermarket , definitely be returning would highly recommend. 👍 plus side aswell no sunbed wars .
- AndMat62 (10/5): Summer June 2025 - Have to say after reading some of the reviews on here I was thinking have I booked the wrong place??
Turns out I hadn't. While this place is a bit dated in some parts the place was spotless and the service out standing, both in the Hotel and Friends. Big shout out to Ireen, Jad and of course George
There are others but to many to mention here. If you needed some thing or there was a problem it was sorted as soon as, We had a problem with the air con in the room it was delt with in the hour, seen some one with an issue with there room they were moved to a better room.
Only issue I had is yes there is a wardrobe to hang stuff in but no shelves to put clothes on. We lived from our cases .Come on George spend some money and get better wardrobes ,Spend some of the companies money so as for the Alecos Hotel loved it and is well worth the rate given
As for Friends Bar, which is attached and the same building again this where the waiting and table service comes into its own (Ireen Jad etc) again is spotless and the service outstanding drinks wee bit cheaper than here if your going for a premier beer or spirit. Food is really good and does a mean breakfast, but be warned not just Friends bar but anywhere the portions are massive for Breakfast Lunch and Dinner
As you might have guest by now I had a great time with the team is it dated a wee bit but for what your paying for it goes beyond
Andy n Gus June/ July 2025
- Q6535LGbeckyp (6/5): Take Earplugs as an essential item!!!! But overall good value budget apartments - Pro's - Fab location, easy walking distance to the harbour with plenty of bars. The food served here was also very nice and they had regular entertainment. A shop open 24 hours just across the road. The owner was pleasant enough and let us have an iron when asked. The apartment itself was clean and must have been recently decorated by the looks of some of the reviews we saw when booking. The bed was huge and comfy, aircon worked well and the bathroom had a lovely large shower area. The toilet roll was kept well stocked my the staff the whole week and apartment kept clean enough, all barring our towels were still not changed after 4 days so we had to take some from the cleaning cupboard ourselves. The kitchen area had everything you needed. The pool, although quite small, was adequate enough for us however, did cause some conflict with other customers due to the mix of families with children who obviously just wanted to play and splash and older people who wanted to sunbathe by the pool with a book and have the occasional dip. Unfortunately due to the size of the area surrounding it, the people who wanted to avoid the constant splashing was not able to do so. It wasn't the children who really caused the issue as they just wanted to play, it the the parents with the attitudes that came along with it, who thought it was ok to take over large areas of the pool and mark the area as theirs, leaving their items overnight so no-one else could use certain beds. The hotel did after the incidents put up notices (albeit very small and not enforced) that no beds were allowed to be reserved & towels removed after half hour of being left unoccupied.
Con's - Earplugs are an essential part of your stay here as there is a nightclub right next door which goes on until 5 but the time clubbers have gone. I luckily wear them as normal practice so I could only hear it faintly but my partner (who can sleep on a clothes line) had no sleep at all.
Overall - Good value for money (as long as you invest in earplugs) - The apartment has everything you need for a budget value break in pathos.
- S6533CWjackier (6/5): 2 elderly women first time self catering. - Booked last minute due to a family wedding, wedding party not staying at Alecos. Having always gone AI was a bit wary staying SC. Arrived late and taken to a room at the top of the building, up 4 flights of steps. first impression was not too good, as mentioned, usually visit AI resorts. However, after a decent night's sleep we settled in. Amenities are basic but adequate and a 24 hour supermarket is over the road. All staff were lovely and very helpful. Food and drink was good and reasonably priced. Hotel is centrally located and harbour 5 minute walk. Ended up loving our rooftop patio which had the sun all day. This is a hotel which provides your basic holiday needs. All in all, had a surprisingly pleasant stay. Big thanks to George, Anna and the lovely Irene.
- willmcghee (10/5): Be warned - Be very careful staying here we 1st stayed here in 2018. We loved it and the people so much we kept returning over and over. The facilities and staff are absolutely brilliant. I cannot praise this place enough. Now to my warning , we loved it all so much that thanks to this place we now live in Paphos permanently. We love the people the area the beaches the sunshine the food and the lifestyle.
Thank you Alecos and Neofyta you changed our lives.
Thank you Alecos and Neofyta you helped make a dream come true true.
- lynnem619 (10/5): Elvis is in the building! - Got a late deal and we're thoroughly impressed with our room.
Huge, clean and modern, lovely little kitchen with an oven and toaster, immaculate bathroom with plenty supply of both toilet paper and towels.
Huge bed and so comfortable and the pillows were just perfect.
Nice friendly staff and a brilliant bar service.
Lovely pool area with plenty of sunbeds.
Great food catering for all dietary requirements
Entertainment most nights, but that's where our problem started, we were on the first floor above the stage area where the entertainment took place, it was bearable but we had come for a complete break and rest from stressful work. The main source of the problem was a person who thought he could sing like Elvis Presley. But when it continued almost every night and up until almost midnight and the same songs every time and we couldn't get to sleep for it, that's when it got to be annoying. Friday nights entertainment was brilliant as there was no Elvis!
This person was probably having the time of his life and with an audience too but it certainly wasn't what we were expecting.
- E9022BBanthonys (10/5): 5/5 Fantastic - Fantastic all round. Alecos is close to the beach, there's a 24h shop just a couple minutes away on foot, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby.
Our room was great, it had everything we needed and everything was in working order.
I couldn't have asked for a better service from Alecos. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food downstairs (Friends Bar) was great. Good value for money all-round.
I even left my house keys in the apartment and Alecos offered to ship them back to the UK for free!
- Wanderer39135855105 (2/5): Run down apartment on top of a karaoke bar - Old threadbare rough towels.
A mini table top oven with a door that won't stay open and old hobs.
No corkscrew, tea, coffee, fan or air conditioning. They charge extra €6 a day for air conditioning.
Patio area had cardboard floor tiles with 2 chairs side by side because no room for a table. And was directly next to someone else's roof garden, so they could easily come into your room.
The apartment on the other sides bathroom window was on our "patio" so any pervert could look in.
The apartments are on top of a bar that plays music until midnight. So no sleep before then.
Reception area is in the bar so don't expect a warm welcome if you arrive after 8pm because the music is BLARING.
- Trek05446532060 (8/5): Budget but perfect for us - We enjoyed our stay. Check in was friendly. We quickly settled in buying groceries, washing up liquid and cleaning clothes from a supermarket round the corner. Cleaners were efficient. Pool small but no problem getting sun beds. Bar very handy. We were at the back of the complex and I didn’t hear the nightclub at all- and hubby did but very distantly. I loved the location which was very easy for all Kato Paphos has to offer. We are fit and able to walk to a big shopping mall and Paphos Old town in under an hour. On a walk along the coast you can take in all the big posh hotels located on the outskirts- not my bag at all . We were happy with this more basic offering and thought all the Staff and the Jet2 transfers were just perfect.
- 188graemew (4/5): There Are Better Options - I did a fair bit of research before settling on Alecos as a hotel base for exploring the area around Paphos with friends. But, post stay I conclude that there is no such thing as too much research.
On arrival we were shown to our three rooms by George who seemed affable enough and, after a cursory look at my room and noticing a few surprising omissions - lack of tea towel, dish cloth, washing-up liquid etc in the kitchen area and no shower caddy in the bathroom - I went downstairs for a drink with my friends in the aptly named Friends Bar. George was with a small group who he obviously knew from the past and, as the time approached midnight he announced loudly "drink up and f*ck off" (I have since been informed by a representative of Jet2 that this was "banter" intended only for the people he was talking with). Needless to say we were taken aback by this and quickly left.
So not a great first impression and, bearing in mind that there were facilities for self-catering in the apartments such as kettle, toaster, cutlery, crockery and cooking appliance we were disappointed that a little extra hadn't been spent on providing the extras that could have made our stay more special.
On the plus side the apartment cleaning staff were great with clean towels being provided daily and the rooms kept in very good state of cleanliness. The cleaning staff were also extremely polite and friendly. We had breakfast at Alecos on two occasions during our stay and again the quality of service and the food could not be faulted.
As we were travelling around the Paphos region during the day we effectively used Alecos for the early evening and for sleeping. Although I was not really bothered by the noise from either nearby Bar Street or Friends Bar underneath some of the apartments my companions, whose rooms were located nearer to the front of the property could clearly hear the music from below. Earplugs were a necessity at night.
On the fifth morning of our stay I found that there was no running water in either the shower or basin in the bathroom and only hot water in the kitchen. I mentioned this to the young female receptionist who was very apologetic and told me that she would ensure it was investigated. On my return that evening the problem had still not been rectified in the basin or kitchen - I did not try the shower at the time - but decided to give the staff a chance to deal with it. On Thursday morning there was very hot water in the shower - no cold - but still nothing in the basin and only very hot from the kitchen tap. I again decided to give them time. By Friday, with still no cold water I mentioned it to the same receptionist who seemed surprised that nothing had been done. As we were returning to the UK that day I told her how disappointed I was and she again apologised. Again Jet2 later had a response from the hotel management stating that the problem with the water had been corrected on the day I had complained about it although that doesn't explain why I had no cold water on the day after - or the day after that.
So Alecos is what it says on the tin, a three star accommodation which has its plus points and - for people of a certain age - a few negative ones, mainly noise related. There are however plenty of options available in Kato Paphos with budgets to suit most people. I can't emphasise it enough - there's no such thing as too much research.
- Road759468 (8/5): The honest review - Ok then where to start ,as honest as possible by a 65 yr old man ,here goes ,the staff you cannot fault them ,they are the friendliest bunch of people and work their backsides off to help you ,George the manager is top notch ,although being the manager I'd have him out the jeans n sweatshirts but great guy and knows how to run it ,checking in was easy ,room was nice n bright with kitchenette, living room spotless toilet n 50/50 bedroom ,2 single beds pushed together with very old mattresses and bases ,i slept on the L shaped sofa with sheets n blankets ,tv didn't work but not there to watch it ,air con installed but no remote control but to be fair didn't need it ,got a bit airy at night ,but no heating in rooms ,in the restaurant food is good ,try the carbonarra and the pork chop is a must ,can't say any more really u get what you pay for and I was content with what I had ,anyway enjoy when you get their and now you know what to expect ty
- pigsarenice (10/5): Great value for money & central location for everything. - I just got home on Monday from Alecos Apts after a wonderful 2weeks holiday there.
We had the ground floor block A. I have to give Anna a mention, the perfect receptionist always ready to help in any way she could. We had everything we needed and the bed was super comfy, spacious walk-in shower and everything spotlessly clean.
Location is perfect. You can’t go wrong with this place and the welcome makes you feel right at home. Thank you George, Anna, Jenny and the lovely girl with curly hair at the Friends Bar. From Christine & Steve
- carolineannejeavons (8/5): Good Experience - Facilities were basic
Plug sockets were limited so would recommend taking extension socket as we were fighting over who charged technology first
Soap and scourer and fairy liquid weren’t available so need to take your own and no toiletries in the bathroom at all apart from toilet rolls .
The room was clean and loads of coathangers
Room was cleaned daily and towels and bedding also changed regulary
The swimming pool was nice and plenty of sunbeds
Staff were friendly and helpful and location is very good less than 5 mins to harbour
We had a quiet room but would probably get noisy in peak season
Overall quite basic but good value for money
- Companion33296502000 (10/5): March 2025 - Great stay in Paphos. Alecos apartments provided us with comfortable accommodation. Could do with a bit of an upgrade to bathrooms. Friendly staff. Friends restaurant was very good, great food. Staff were very helpful and great choice of food. Local to shops, amenities and beach.
- V425QVsarahf (10/5): Cheap & cheerful - Great hotel in a fantastic location close to lots of lovely restaurants, sites, and the harbour/beach. Don’t expect the Hilton - the accommodation is cheap and cheerful. George the owner and all staff are friendly. We were a bit worried about the noise from bar street and Friends bar but the rooms are so well sound proofed we only noticed when sitting outside on our balcony.
- angeladG2290AX (10/5): fantastic holiday - spotless studio , friendly staff , Hannah on reception is absolutely lovely, kind warm and friendly , an asset to the hotel , the maintenance staff are busy continuously, cleaning n tidying up ,, the housekeeping is spot on , ladies are all so friendly,
George in adjacent bar is lovely. he works his scottish kilt off , you get what you pay for
location is perfect, central for everything ,, if on lower floor take ear plugs as theres an underground nightclub ( we werent aware ) but dont let it spoil your stay
- Meander54563828493 (8/5): Good food and entertainment - We stayed at alecos apartments twice this year good value for money the accommodation is very basic but functional the friends bar as really good entertainment the staff are very efficient and helpful we are back again in June 25 looking forward to that
- 406adamo (8/5): Good Apartments, great location - This is a good hotel in a great location. Only a few minutes walk from the beautiful front & beaches. We also walked to the Aphrodite Water Park from here and into the Old Town. They were longer walks but we did have refreshment stops along the way!!
We were in Block B101 and the apartment was clean & tidy. Ladies into clean every day and they did a great job, bedding changed once during our week and always fresh towels when we needed them.
We only really had breakfast in and generally ate out the rest of the time. This was partly due to the prices in the big main supermarket, expensive I thought so no point in cooking in.
We had some lovely meals out, so much to choose from.
There is some noise at night from the bars in the street but it’s not terrible, didn’t really disturb us but I wouldn’t stay in this hotel in high season for this reason.
We also did a full day Jeep/Boat trip covering Blue Lagoon and the Waterfalls which was beautiful and well worth the money.
Overall a really enjoyable holiday, thank you Alecos! 😎
- hb92018 (10/5): Definitely recommend ! - We stayed here for 2 weeks in October would definitely recommend! Location is perfect and staff are lovely especially George he can’t do enough for you. The rooms are basic but very clean, maid was in everyday, you get what you pay for! I will be returning to here in the future
- peterbH5107W (6/5): Nice clean value for money. - Very friendly staff, and the Friends bar attached was great however if you like to sleep at night, it is very noisy. It’s right next to bar street and the loud music can go on until 5am. Ear plugs didn’t help but putting the air conditioner on all night was the only way to drown it out.
The place was very clean though and again, the noise was not the fault of the hotel.
- Littlebobby87 (8/5): Great location for beach, bars and restaurants - Nice little apartment in a central location. Large bed, good size bathroom with shower, kitchen with kettle, utensils, crockery, grill, hob. Will need own tea towel, washing up liquid etc. Maids were in everyday and did a great job. Nice size balcony overlooking the pool in block c. It never got the sun unfortunately. Some more storage would be nice in bedroom as only 1 wardrobe and a large foot stool taking up room in front of full length mirror. Attached to friends bar which is brilliant for food, entertainment and great staff.
Rooms can be noisy due to bar street being round the corner but block was OK once doors closed. 10 mins walk to harbour, archeology sites, bus tops, bars, restaurants and beaches all close by. Quiet pool area, never struggled for sunbeds. 24 hour shop over thr road.
- david (10/5): - everybody was so friendly from the moment we arrived to when we left maybe 3 star hotel but with 5 star service and as for George what a star . will defo return and would recommend to friends
- Boaz (4/5): Caring and kind - Hotel not open but manager found me a room But thee was no WiFi no pool and no other facilities.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Great location, 3 minutes walk to Paphos Harbour! Nice bar downstairs and friendly staff. Fantastic indian restaurant just down the road. Unfortunately cleanliness let it down a little bit. Not a place for those who like early nights, party/performance every night until midnight in the bar downstairs, heard every word in room on 2nd floor, annoying after 3/4 night. But absolutely loved the location!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Liked everything about friendly staff all very helpful staff good location within minuets of sea front looking forward to returning next year
- Daniel (10/5): Good place, recommend - Good location, nice place
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I had a one bed apartment which was a very good size. Staff at apartments and friends bar were all really helpful and very friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Jenny is the star of these apartments. She cannot do enough to help you. They are typical 3 star but clean and adequate for a fab holiday in paphos. Near to the most beautiful restaurants. Shops sea harbour also bear. Perfect base to explore paphos. People in friends bar are very helpful too.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely hotel with a great location - Lovely hotel with a large room, excellent location, Ava friendly staff. Wonderful A/C, complimentary shower before your flight, and very quiet.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good location , cheap decent food- breakfast good value
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean newly refurbished - included breakfast which was in Friends bar below - very good
- Carl (8/5): Amazing week - Another amazing time. Great staff as always.
- Vicki (6/5): Good location, ok for a few nights. - We stayed here for a long weekend as we were attending our friends wedding at the Annabelle. The lady at reception was lovely, really friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious and generally clean. Only air-conditioning in bedroom so rest of rooms were boiling. It is also €9 a night for the air-conditioning that can only be on when you're in the apartment.
Was a very easy short walk to the sea front around 3/4 mins.
There were always sunbeds available around pool but area was very small and there is hardly any room to walk around pool sunbeds are right on the edge meaning you are always going to get splashed by anyone in the pool and have kids constantly pushing past u to get to the other end of the pool. not kids fault it's just very small area.
The apartment served its purpose as a room for a few nights but wouldn't of wanted to of been here any longer.
- Sandra (8/5): Too location - The staff were really great , especially Jenni, at the front desk she helped us with a lot of information .and made us feel very welcome. The internet in the apartment was not really good and if you are looking for a good nights sleep , forget it, the noise from the surrounding bars etc makes it impossible. The location was really good. Great value for the price.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Pleasant enough apartment for being on a budget. Places very well close to the harbour as well as bar street
- Henry (10/5): Great hotel close to everything - Close to the harbour and loads of restaurants. Above the 'Friends' bar which is reasonably priced with great food.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great location for the "party croud" - The property is located above a restaurant that doubles as a bar at night. All the bars are no more than 5 minutes walk from there, and a night club is within a couple of steps.
Greatest location you can find for party goers. If you are looking fir just peace and quiet, not the place for you.
Everything is very close by, the harbour, bus stations, all sorts og places to eat.. Basicly the location is everything!
- Mirco (8/5): Ottima posizione!!
- Kayleigh (10/5): Would never stay anywhere else - Had the best holiday here, I have travelled all around the world and never have I received hospitality like I did here! We will never stay anywhere else in Paphos. Nothing is too much
- Simon (10/5): Excellent experience. - The apartment we stayed in was new, fresh and modern. The friends bar was very welcoming with good food at a reasonable price. Brilliant location close to the harbour. Swimming pool in good condition with enough sunloungers for all. Will be returning and would recommend for a stay in Cyprus.
- Joseph (10/5): Brilliant - Brilliant hotel and staff will 100% be going back oh wait I just re booked
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very well located, lovely staff, only downfall was and the reason I marked down is when we checked in and went to use the toilet there was faeces left in the toilet, however staff handle this well and the rest of the stay was pleasant
- fransi (6/5): locatie is TOP!!
- Carol (8/5): Base for the day - We booked a studio as a base for the day having travelled from Latchi for a late flight the same day. I had asked for an early check in when booking and this was made possible by the friendly and helpful lady on reception. The studio was spacious, well equipped and clean and, although air conditioning was extra, this was essential as it was so hot. The studio was in a relatively quiet part of Paphos but was an easy walk to more bars, restaurants and the sea front.
- Will and Ruth (6/5): Nice location but extremely noisy - The location is great, 3-4 mins to a supermarket and the sea front and we walked to three different beaches. The staff were friendly and the room was very clean when we arrived. We enjoyed using the pool which was clean and they have free inflatable loungers available. We checked in late at 11pm and that was also handled fine. One night we ordered food from the bar and they bought it to our room which was nice and the food was very good. Try the Nutella waffles!!
Our apartment was brand new, while clearly made on a budget, it was very pleasant except the shower had a cheap curtain which was fitted over the side of the base! Our room was next to three which were in the process of being built (expect to finish about end of July 2017 I would guess?!?!) so we had building work during day from about 8:30am. On top of this the live entertainment every night went on till 1am and being close to the bar and not having any sound proofing in the room we could hear Tina turna and elvis etc.
Our other one annoyance is in a 10 day stay our bedding was not changed, they just made the bed each day, mopped and gave the bathroom floor / river a dry.
Over all we had a great time. good budget apartments, ruined by noise
- James (8/5): Short Break Spur of The Moment - The apartments are in an excellent position almost on the famous Bar Street Area and within 15 minutes walk to The Old Harbour.
The check-in member of staff was absolutely excellent could not do enough for me. The apartments are clean and comfortable if a little tired.
My only issue was that it states you could have a late checkout either 15:00 for 10 euros or 19:00 for 20 euros. I emailed but got no reply and when I went to the reception to enquire was told no as my room was a courtesy room, this I found hard to believe as it was in block B and the last room at the top of this block furthest from the main reception, she just didn't care real shame as it spoilt what was otherwise a good experience.
The picture of the pool the advertise is taken at a good angle and actually is not as good.
If I had been given the late check out as advertised it would have got top marks.
I will return just not too sure if too the Alecos
- Shahar (8/5): - Very nice accommodation... Perfect location at the city center.... Great staff
- Kathryn (10/5): Lovely apartment! - Everything about staying here was easy and pleasurable. Great staff, good sized clean room and excellent location. Cannot find fault, especially for the price! No hesitation to recommend
- kathryn (10/5): Worth a visit! - Helpful friendly staff. Clean spacious room and minutes walk from harbour, restaurants and bars. ..perfect location! No hesitation to recommend! !
- Alex (8/5): Great location and very accommodating staff - I stayed in this hotel with two friends for a long weekend. Upon arrival the staff at the hotel directed us towards the ample parking at the rear of the property and also allowed us to check in earlier than expected. The room was plenty big enough for us and had more than enough amenities for us. The bathroom was large and was in a pretty good condition. The restaurant/bar area had a great selection and was reasonably priced. The location of the hotel was ideal as it was very conveniently located by the main nightlife area and also just a short walk away from the marina.
- Rosario Maria (8/5): Buena ubicacion y amplio apartamento.
- Itay (8/5): A very nice hotel in Paphos - The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is great - right next to the bar street. It wasn't loud though and we had no noise problems during the nights.
Free WiFi throughout the entire place, including the pool.
A bit annoying was that there was an additional charge (a few Euros per night) for the air conditioner, even though in the hotel description on hotels.com there is no mentioning of that (in fact, it mentions that the room has an air conditioner).
Other than that everything was great.
- cara (8/5): Bargin holiday - We had a lovely stay and the owner could not of been more helpful, easy check in and out, organised car hire for us upon arrival, anything we asked for was no trouble at all. The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels provided every second day. Would happily stay here again if visiting cyprus.
- Karen (8/5): Great service - Great basic apartments with fantastic helpful staff. Apartments need some upgrading and this looks to be underway in communal areas - the air con wasn't great and WiFi was unreliable but overall a good clean basic base for our stay. Poor area again maybe in need of a little attention but always clean and nice and quiet we often had the pool to ourselves even though it was each season. The bar downstairs was great and the staff are a real credit couldn't do more for us. Can't fault our stay really for the price. Definitely recommended
- anna (8/5): Great couples holoday - Hotel fine but needs new pool and area surrounding pool cleaned.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible. - Terrible experience. Almost everything is not working in the room.
Wifi gratuito.
- James (8/5): Good value apartment close to the beach - The Alecos was great value. It is 10 minutes walk from the beach and the harbour. The apartment was clean and the bed huge! It is situated very near the bars and nightclubs. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would stay again.
- Luigi (10/5): Nice apartments near shops, harbour and beach - It has been an enjoyable stay in Paphos with uninterrupted blue sky and sunny weather.
- BW (4/5): Average but poor service - Cannot really complain much from the price, the rooms were decent with free aircon which was a massive plus, however, upon arrival I was made to wait an hour before being seen to as the reception was unmanned, and on departure, the hotel rang me up claiming I have not paid even though I recieved a receipt email through from hotels.com. I refused to pay more and I think that wound the guy up but I held firm. Poor customer service from this hotel. Clearly trying to scam more money out of their customers!
The location of the hotel was the biggest advantage as it was close to where the nightlife is and not too far from the harbour.
All in all the hotel room was newly refurnished however customer service was poor!
