• Danny (10/5): - Me tocó la torre nueva y todo estaba muy limpio, nada de olor a humedad. Perfecto para ir por negocios y para ir de paseo ya que está super cerca de un sector comercial y ejecutivo. Solo tener en cuenta que si vas de paseo y se pretende dormir hasta tarde, las cortinas no lo permiten pues ingresa bastante luz. Tienen parqueo privado.

• Maria fernanda (4/5): No volveré a hospedarme - El precio total que me registraba en booking no fue real ya que al hacer el check in me cobraron 40 dol más a pesar de que en el detalle ya incluía impuestos y otros. El desayuno estuvo bien ya que era variado. La estética de la habitación no me agradó ya que no compensaba el precio vs servicio .. deberían de modernizar las habitación por que son anticuadas.. no regresaría a hospedarme.
• Alexander (4/5): - Toothbrush kit is charged extra and we were never informed. they didn't have change at the front desk, we had to fish out for dimes to pay them 5 dollars for a poorly made toothbrush and a small toothpaste. Went to eat breakfast at 8:30am they had no more orange juice, asked the only waiter I saw. Said that was it for the juice, they weren't bringing out more. In the menu it said a variety of bread. they only had 2 kinds of store-bought loaf bread.

• Gustavo (6/5): - Esta vez no puedo opinar pues llegue en un día en que era Feriado y habían impuesto Toque de queda, por lo que lo que habían ofrecido como, Desayuno Buffet de los 5 días los 2 primeros no hubo la piscina no es6taba para usar. por lo que hubieran dado alguna solución o por lo menos alguna compensación.

• Ruth (8/5): Simple, clean and comfortable. - This is a comfortable, simple hotel near the Guayaquil Airport. Since we arrived about 10 pm and didn't want to take the 4 hour ride to Cuenca that late, we stayed in a hotel. We got to the hotel about 11:15 pm. We were warmly greeted, tho the desk cleark had a bit of a problem finding our reservation. Check in took just a few minutes and we were shown to our room. The room was clean but simple: queen bed, big TV, 'fridge, dresser and not much else. Only 1 drinking glass. A\C worked fine if a bit noisy. Room was otherwise very quiet. I thought the bed was OK. My spouse found it quite comfortable. Breakfast was tasty. Coffee in Educador is nearly always instant, as was this. Eggs, toast, juice, etc was fine. The desk clerk called a taxi, helped with all our luggage and we were off. Price was marked half off which was a fair price. If I'd paid the full price I would have been unhappy as this is a very simple place great for a business person or for a quick overnight like we did. Certainly not a deluxe hotel or resort, just clean with a friendly and helpful staff and a goid breakfast.

• Alex (4/5): Okay hotel experience - Hotel is convenient to the airport, with a decent restaurant onsite. Staff is pleasing as well. However, for an over 3 star-rated hotel and the relatively high price, it missed the mark on key things. There were no clean towels in the room, only one bar of soap, and no hand lotion. Furthermore, I was double charged on taxes and fees despite explaining that they were included in my Expedia rate.
• Rosa (8/5): Noisy - I liked the location. The hotel is close to the airport, banks, shopping centers, great restaurants nearby, you can actually walk safely to many places. The main problem for me was the noise during the night, it made impossible for me to get a good night of sleep the first night (I was wearing earplugs). The hotel has two buildings, one of the buildings faces a main, busy road and the traffic is loud even during the late hours and very early in the morning. For the second night, I asked to be switched to a room in the building in the back away from the traffic; the hotel staff was very accommodating and relocated me, as soon as a room became available. The free breakfast food spread was very good, there were many choices of fresh fruit, juices, baked goods, etc. Both rooms that I stayed in were very clean, the pool was small but cute. The gym is well kept. I think for the price the hotel is worth it. I felt safe and all the hotel staff was always warm and helpful.

Arrived at 2 am so tired and my room can't open the window and smell so bad, gave to change to another one... Cleanness just limited ... my new room so noise !!! Imposible to sleep a bit more. Neat to airport so, convenient if you need to arrive like me and change ..
• Verified traveler (8/5): Business and family friendly hotel stay - Enjoyed our stay at Hotel Marcelius, great water pressure and clean sheets even though we just had one towel. Our family would definitely stay here again for the breakfast buffet and location. Check in was a bit slow but valet was prompt and friendly.
• AlexisC728 (4/5): Cannot get a good rest - This hotel has lots of features that may be used to fit as a perfect business traveler hotel: Well located, in the middle of one of the most business dense zones, near to malls, clean rooms with cable TV, and good rates. Nevertheless, the lack of a central A/C system makes rooms very loud places. A lack of good sound isolation implies also hearing more street sound than the desirable and hearing everything happening outside of your room's door. People in the hotel has never offered any type of help unless you ask for (finding a cab, for example), which is somehow different of my expectations for a place that charges you for service. I haven't been able to catch the good sleep that I need when business traveling, and at anytime I felt welcomed, so I'm trying not to stay in here anymore.

The things I did not liked: -Limited breakfast (2 type of fruits, jam, bread) and the same items everyday. -Small rooms. -No bussiness room. -Old TV - Bad Curtains (not thick to prevent sun lights). I have to cover my eyes to sleep.

• robertpuessi (6/5): Double room budget hotel - A very average hotel with a small gym, swimming pool, basic free breakfast (cereal, eggs, fruits, bread) , staff was nice , rooms are quiet, I only stay here since I was on a budget and also since I was driving a rented car , needed a parking garage . But overall it was okay to stay here

This hotel was nice inexpensive, ideally located with a friendly helpful staff and a free breakfast in the morning. the room was clean and the A/C was a welcome treat in a very hot city Guayaquil.

• onetwor (6/5): It's ok for a layover - This is my second stay here. There is nothing to complain about, and not much to write home about either. Comfortable bed, prompt courteous service, good breakfast....all very business like. Very close to the airport and malls.
• ReiniWorldTraveller (6/5): Loud rooms, outside illumination lights up the rooms... - The hotel is just acceptable. Rooms are clean and bed is again just acceptable. Heavy traffic starts in the morning. In my room and in rooms of people I have spoken with light enters the room at night. That much that you would think that it is already morning. I asked for a room change or that they switch off the spot lights illuminating the outside of the hotel but no reaction at all. I would suggest to install light prove curtains. Right now the curtains are a joke. The breakfast is included. After 5 days I couldn't stand the breakfast anymore and there is not anything to order. You are doomed to eat the scrambled eggs every day. You wanna have fried eggs. Maybe you get some if there are not too many people. At dinner the waiter always tells me that the food gonna take long because of too many people. Apparently there is only one chef and one waiter for the whole hotel. The food is OK as well are the prices for the offered food. There is a little pool to wet the feed. But I was able to stay there only for 10min. because I had to flee the mosquito. There is a nice enough equipped Fitness room (center would be exaggerated) but the air-con didn't work. A bummer given the high temperatures and humidity in Guayaquil. One think is outstanding: Internet works rather good. So good you can even watch netflix without hick ups.

Room was ok a nice size but dated. Good location. The hotel was responsible for an accident where yogurt was tipped all down my trousers. They would not pay to have them cleaned.Would I go there again. No . Poor in my opinion

• Florence1987 (8/5): A good, bit pricey hotel with arrogant and unfriendly staff - We booked this hotel in advance for 2 nights after our Galapagos trip. We were really looking forward to it! But when we came in we immediately felt inferior to the staff that was at the reception. I think they found it a kind of strange that we walked in this posh hotel in our backpack outfit. For the price of this hotel we expected to be served politely, but except for opening doors for us, we didn't really feel served. We had read that they had a free Airport shuttle, but they couldn't pick us up from we Airport when we arrived from the Galapagos Island, as this service was only available in the morning.. They also couldn't bring us to the Airport, as the Airport service was only to get you from the Airport.. We were very disappointed and we did show our displeasure. Later the came to our room with a little gift from the hotel for us (a diary from the hotel) and they yet arranged the Airport shuttle for us, so that was really nice. The rooms are nice, very comfortable beds and lovely soap in the bathroom! Breakfast buffet was oke, but not better than breakfast we had in several hostels. The swimmingpool was nice as well, however they asked us if we would liked it heated when we were already sitting in for a while, and if we would like to have bubbles when we already got out! Overall, not the service that you would expect from a hotel like this.
• ladulce (10/5): Horrible Experience in Guayaquil, hotel staff made it better and kept us safe. Thank you - I am a single mother that was traveling with my 4 children (7-14 years old). After spending the summer in Ecuador, on our last night in Guayaquil, I was a victim of secuestre express (taxi kidnapping). Obviously, I was hysterical and was left without anything at all. The hotel put together a security team quickly and they took us to the airport with guards (since there was fear the kidnappers would return). The security men did as much as they could to reassure my frightened children. They were kind and helpful. The hotel staff was amazingly supportive and worried about us. This level of service made this hotel so much better than anything else. I wish I could go back and give them each a hug for the difference that they made in helping me overcome the terror of that evening. May they be blessed. This level of trust-worthiness makes this hotel well worth it.

• cmac63 (10/5): One of the friendliest places we have stayed, excellent value for money. - Having read other reviews for this hotel I was somewhat concerned - however the reviews I read must have come from people staying at a different hotel. The hotel was clean, the staff were very friendly (we met the owners who could not have done more for us) the whole atmosphere was great. The hotel was fully booked for most of our stay and we felt that we certainly got value for money and had a fantastic holiday - THANK YOU!!!!!!
• alvarohenaoh (4/5): average hotel - If you want to stay in average hotel in Guayaquil, you are in the correct place, a tortuous hotel that had been build without planning, there is two swimming pools and at the hot Guayaquil temperature, only bee open to 7 p.m. The food is average and the staff not friendly. The air not works very well.
