Guest Reviews
- nqobajane (10/5): Good quality - I love the place and will definitely recommend. The room are okay and clean and staff very friendly.
- jemma2026 (10/5): Tranquility, Comfort and Fabulous service - We have visited on several occasions and repeat our stay at the Bronte which boasts beautiful gardens and settings, comfy beds and large rooms, lots of outside space of which much is private, wonderful helpful and polite team. Generally 10/10 and will return again.
- Rudimate (6/5): Amazing landscape - The landscape is breathtakingly beautiful. The cleanliness of the rooms could be improved. Fitted carpets need a bit of deep cleaning. Overall, it’s okay, but nothing spectacular inside.
- malagasya2019 (8/5): Bronte always meets your expectations - I have stayed at Bronte every time I am in Harare for the past 20 years and it has always been with peace of mind that I booked here, knowing that everything will be taken care from accommodation to Conference needs. I particularly like the guest lounge where you can have a quick meeting with your visitors in a home feel atmosphere, as if you would receive them in your own house.
- lboero (10/5): Wonderful stay at the Bronte Hotel - A wonderful hotel near the centre of Harare. I could easily sit in the beautiful gardens all day! The food was also great and the staff so friendly. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Zimbabwe, thank you!
- smallworldman (10/5): Bronte still shines - Bronte remains a lovely Harare oasis with gorgeous grounds, wonderful sculpture, highly attentive service, great restaurant with many veg options. Shout out to Maximus taxi service for airport transfers and travel around town.

- U9907GNmichaelm (10/5): Bronte Hotel Review - I had an excellent stay at Bronte Hotel in February 2026. From the moment I arrived, the staff were warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. The service throughout my stay was outstanding, with quick responses to any requests. The room was spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere and beautiful garden setting, which made it easy to relax after a busy day. The location is convenient and secure, making it ideal whether you are traveling for business or leisure. The overall value for money is impressive considering the quality of the facilities and service. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Bronte Hotel to anyone visiting.
- paulinemotlotlegi (10/5): Pauline's Review - I love everything about Bronte. Coming again soon.. The buffet breakfast was always a ten. Thank you so much bronte hotel
- hbe2026 (10/5): A gem in Harare - A stay at the Bronte Garden hotel is always a pleasure. The service is very good, the room is always spick and span, the pool is refreshing after a long day's work. The surroundings of beautiful architecture, lush plants and trees and the beautiful Shona art sculptures make this my favourite hotel to stay at.
- lizamare2026 (10/5): Stay at Bronte Hotel - The Bronte Hotel is a very comfortable stay. Staff are friendly and helpful and the food is really good.
we stayed in the Kingsley which is the budget rooms. Everything was clean and working and comfortable with good tables to work at. The furniture/ decor is just a bit older but in good condition.
- Voyage680079 (8/5): A Peaceful Escape - The rooms were clean, comfortable, and offered beautiful views of the gardens, especially in the early morning. Overall, the Garden Hotel is a perfect choice for anyone looking for comfort, nature, and calm in one place
- towns2026 (10/5): Beautiful hotel and gardens - We love this hotel. Absolutely beautiful gardens. Excellent restaurant service. Great swimming pool.
- A6462ZYheatherd (10/5): GREAT STAY - We loved our stay here, they were very open to improving their plant-based and vegan offerings and I hope they do that so I can return.
- Passenger666108 (10/5): My short honeymoon stay @ Bronte Hotel - We really loved the stay at the hotel and felt like the hotel is under advertised. I enjoyed the food at the restaurant and the full pack of the english breakfast was my highlight . I also liked the garden that is well maintained with the tall palm trees next to the pond surrounded by nicely cut green grass. Excellent for photography indeed.
- P1168AEsamuels (2/5): Terrible hote ( food posoning ,no transport at night for medical emergency) ) and dishonest management in refunding - - Food poisoning
- Hotel lacks transport means at night for medical emergency
- Dishonesty and manipulation in refunding
- emelieIP (10/5): Excellent hotel - Excellent hotel with beautiful facilities and very friendly staff. A very peaceful place in a busy city.
- kapungufrank (10/5): Bronte Garden Hotel- Review by Dr Frank Kapungu - I really appreciate the environment, the open and natural setup sets this place apart, and makes it a unique and wonderful place to visit and stay. Plenty of parking space within and without is another plus for this beautiful place. The staff are receptive, welcoming and professional .The salubrious cuisines, beautiful ponds and flowers, the lush green grass and amazing meandering paved paths,a nice well-maintained swimming pool beaming with colourless, blue-sky-reflecting waters and a well-equipped modern gym for everyday fitness and exercise, give one an unforgettable experience. All these and many more give one an unceasing urge to visit again this beautiful island in the city centre and a wonderful place for a retreat and many more!
- Wroughtaria (8/5): A home away from home - This Garden Hotel takes heavy inspiration from the Bronte Sisters and its a fitting homage to their life and legacy. The setting is serene and exquisite - the staff are friendly and happy to be of service. If you are ever in Harare, this is the place to be.
- christinancube (10/5): C. Ncube - 5 Star Hotel, where I can definitely come back again and recommend friends and family to visit as well
- KeithP169 (10/5): Adventures in Paradise. - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lovely Bronte Hotel in Harare. We enjoyed our rapport with all staff members and all meals were excellent, with great service. We actually enjoyed two stays of 6 nights and 3 nights as we 'took a break' by flying to Victoria Falls for a 2-nights stay to see the Falls and take a Sunset River Cruise. But we were delighted to return to our Garden Hotel - which I referred to as "paradise". We loved staying here and were sorry to leave. I do hope we can stay fit and well - and return to see everyone again. I have an eye on the 2027 ICC World Cup Cricket tournament so we will keep our fingers crossed!
- 393gavin (10/5): Oasis in the city - I have stayed several times at the Brontë. It is an utter oasis in the middle of the city. Once you enter the security boom, you are transported to the most beautiful spot. The Gardens are spectacular, the service excellent and the rooms comfortable. I return every year. Great value for money too.
- christiankU7174RH (10/5): Thank you Bronte. - Bronte Hotel Harare offers a peaceful and charming oasis right in the heart of the city. The beautifully maintained gardens and tranquil environment provide a welcoming retreat from the bustling city center. The hotel's location in the Avenues makes it conveniently accessible to the CBD.
- Robert (10/5): - Always a pleasure staying at the Bronte. Old world charm and staff make you feel at home.
- vince197037 (10/5): September 2025 - Service was good, serve for delay in serving breakfast, kindly revert to the old serving system. Thank you in advance
- Chichongue (8/5): Comfortable Stay at Bronte Hotel, Harare - I stayed at the Bronte Hotel for 7 nights and had a very pleasant experience overall. The hotel offers a calm and well-kept environment, with lovely gardens that make it easy to relax.
The room was clean and comfortable, with everything I needed for a restful stay. Breakfast was consistently good, with a decent selection and fresh options each morning. I especially appreciated the friendly and helpful staff—they were attentive without being overbearing.
The location is convenient, and the atmosphere is peaceful, which made it a great base for my time in Harare. I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it to others looking for a reliable and comfortable hotel.
- joannewY27FB (10/5): A good choice - We enjoyed our stay very much. The beds were very comfortable. Unfortunately for the entire 12 days, the restaurant never changed its menu. We had to go seek outside restaurants for some dinner variety.
- 607haroldw (10/5): An old-world garden hotel that is a destination in itself - I have traveled in nearly 50 countries around the world and this is perhaps the nicest place to stay anywhere. Sure, in Hawaii the hotels have gardens, and in India some hotels are like Palaces, but the Tranquility of the gardens here and the excellent food make the Bronte - the Garden Hotel in Harare one of the best places I’ve ever stayed not only in Zimbabwe but anywhere in the world! It has old-world charm, no pretentiousness, has the feeling you are living inside a movie about the genteel life of the 19th century gentry. The breakfast has just about everything from fruit, yogurt, breads, croissants, cinammon rolls, toast, to the full “English Breakfast” experience with eggs, beans, potatoes with onions, sausage, baccon, broiled tomato, etc. I didn’t eat any of the typical European continent breakfast items but they looked varied and good to - cheeses, meats, etc. As for dinner, I had the best Tikka Masala I have had ANYWHERE! I also enjoyed the grilled bream, the stuffed pork, and several of the pasta dishes. They also have wonderful desserts. This is not just a place to get something to eat - it is a fine dining experience! You can eat outside by the garden or inside as you prefer - at least in September. They have a small bar with beer, wine, soft drinks, fruit juice, and small bites like sandwiches and appetizers so you can get something to eat even outside the established meal times.
The rooms were cleaned daily, and were great. You can choose different levels of amenities as preferred, with price variations for everyone. The staff were uniformly helpful, polite, and friendly.
I think the only thing missing is a “gift shop” to buy some snacks or simple souvenirs. My wife was in the hospital for half our stay so it would have been nice to be able to get something for her - a carved animal perhaps or a flower design scarf or something.
I love this hotel and consider it almost a destination itself because it is not pretentious, but is very high quality and the tranquility of the gardens is superb! I would happily like to return.
- mkkankemb (10/5): Wonderful! - Very nice place to stay. Beautiful garden and rich breakfast. The stuff was also kind and polite. We just regret that they refused to serve our dinner on the garden.
- goiaov (10/5): Best hotel in Harare - The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were exceptionally clean and the grounds were very beautiful and clean.
- robertloots (10/5): Business Trip - It is an excellent place to stay. The rooms were very comfortable and beautiful views onto the well-kept gardens. Staff were very friendly, helpful, and catered for your every need.
- blessingtakawira (8/5): Zim visit - Place is nice and tranquil, beautiful garden which adds some serenity to the environment. Modest rooms
- Jenmo79 (10/5): 10 night stay - We stayed at the Bronte Hotel and it was amazing! The grounds are beautiful and maintained well. The restaurant was well organized and the food was delicious and a very good value. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and we slept well. We would definitely stay here again!!
- 598melg (10/5): Oasis - I didn’t have a room in this main portion of the hotel as I was in the Queensgate part. However, the grounds are beautiful. A bit of an oasis amidst the dryness. They keep both sides well manicured. The food from breakfast and dinner are really good. Great service as well. Would recommend for sure.
- O947TErh (10/5): The Best Quiet Spot In Harare - I stayed at Bronte while attending a Convention. It was such a nice quiet place with a restaurant that served quality meals. I would definitely stay there again.
- atupakisyebrownk (10/5): My Stay at Bronte! - Wow the flowers!!!
So many flowers!
Beautiful place....polite staff
Nice food!
I loved my stay there!
Amazing experience!
- director446 (10/5): Home away far from home - The best place for doing business and relaxation. The rooms are super clean and the shower is the best not mentioning the comfortable bed that is clean and warm
- 546markd (10/5): Mark Driessen - Thanks again for staying at your great hotel. We keep on coming back here since the 1990's, and will be back in future.
- Elmarie (10/5): - Excellent as always.
- M-Gwebu (8/5): The Garden Experience - Bronte continues to maintain its garden environment giving an aura of fresh air and general tranquillity ideal for those on business travel. It's ideally located close to an equally serene shopping mall for those extra requirements.
- ovidiur2020 (8/5): One monthsh at Bronte - Beautiful position and garden. Bathroom could do with an update.
Very friendly staff. Reception very friendly and accommodating with our requests
- Rejoice (8/5): - The property is beautiful and well-maintained. However, the customer service could be improved. Staff did not take the time to explain amenities such as breakfast or inform me that dinner was available on-site. I ended up leaving the property to purchase dinner elsewhere, only to find out later it was offered here. Better communication and attention to guests would make a big difference. Every customer should feel valued and informed.
- lafras2025 (10/5): Bronte business - Ideal for business stays—outstanding service, genuinely friendly staff, and a beautifully kept garden that offers a peaceful retreat after a busy day.

- nancymojapelo (10/5): THE BEST STAY - Very clean, very nice food, it was a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly, very nice place for family as well.
- 170DavidD (10/5): My favourite hotel - Been here for 3 nights now and feel completely at home. I think this may be my favourite hotel anywhere in the world. This time around a special thank you to Elizabeth in the dining room for welcoming us to each meal with such warmth (as well as learning our names and dietary preferences at our first meal). It's great to be here.
- 822edwint (10/5): Serene Oasis in Harare - Bronte remains my preferred choice when in Harare for business.
My recent stay was once again excellent. The hotel is conveniently located near key meeting venues and is also easily accessible for guests coming in for short meetings.
The garden is a standout feature—beautiful, quiet, and perfect for relaxed conversations. The rooms are well maintained, clean, and airy. I like the ground floor rooms with direct access to the garden, which add to the overall comfort and convenience.

- Edmore (10/5): - The greenery is exceptional . Clean rooms
- MDePonte (8/5): Zim stay - Hotel chosen by colleagues. Fir the very little time I had I could even do with a simpler accommodation, but this is a good comfortable and well serviced resort
- Guenet (10/5): - A very nice hotel. The staff were amazing.
- 167lucy (10/5): Oasis with excellent staff - I have just spent 4 nights at the Bronte and absolutely had to contact you to give you feedback for how wonderful the staff were and what a brilliant stay I had.
Nothing was too much trouble for anyone, especially the Reception desk and their female colleagues were all so helpful when I needed to find a church, or get a taxi, or leave my bags, or ask any other question at all. Everyone was always polite and professional.
The porters and gardeners and cleaners and restaurant staff were all also extremely courteous and efficient, and the hotel is beautifully maintained.
I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone else, as I had the most positive and top rate service and overall experience throughout my stay.
- youngroym (10/5): Service Compliment - The hotel service generally was okay, nothing to complain about, the staff members were friendly, we had a good stay at your hotel, keep on doing the good work, the hotel was smart, the rooms were smart.
- josephchirwa (8/5): Hotel stay - The overall reception and stay was good. However, staff should not feel bothered when called-in for assistance.

- 676clarew (10/5): Bronte Hotel - a hidden gem in Harare! - The Bronte was an ideal place to stay. Excellent amenities, gorgeous gardens, good security and wonderful staff. We will be back! Thank you!
- W1123XPsteven (8/5): Oasis - The Bronte is a calm Oasis in the middle of Harare traffic and busyness. Staff are friendly and accommodating and treat guests well. Taxis are easy to find and the restaurant is quite good..
- Fred (2/5): - We n er stayed at this property require refund
- OlafO_11 (8/5): Charming oasis in heart of Harare - The Bronte is centrally located and charming. The character of the Hotel and garden was greatly appreciated compared to some places we visited
- sgumbie2025 (6/5): Stewart - The service was good but there is room to improve. The pricing and location of the hotel are excellent.
- FrenchTraveler2025 (8/5): I enjoyed my stay. - I had a very pleasant stay at Brontë Hotel in Harare. The property offers a serene and charming environment, with beautifully maintained gardens that create a truly relaxing atmosphere. The staff were courteous, attentive, and consistently professional, which greatly enhanced the overall experience. My room was clean and comfortable, making for a restful visit.
I particularly appreciated the peaceful ambiance and the boutique character of the hotel, which is a welcome contrast to larger, more impersonal establishments. The on-site Palm's Restaurant offers a good standard of service, although I would have appreciated a slightly broader selection of menu options. Additionally, the water pressure and bandwidth were at times inconsistent — a minor inconvenience in an otherwise delightful stay.
Overall, Brontë Hotel remains an excellent choice for both business and leisure travelers seeking comfort and charm in Harare. I would gladly return and recommend it to others.
- Naomi (10/5): A little patch of paradise - Beautiful gardens to relax enjoy a glass of wine and listen to the birds
- Olafur (8/5): - The Brontë is a little oasis in this part of Harare. Charming hotel with really friendly staff. It is showing it’s age and slightly run down in areas.
- sharonl2025L (8/5): Well located green oasis in Harare - I have stayed at the Bronte Garden hotel a few times i the last 2 years. On this occasion I found the restaurant food to be excellent. I was in a room with a good view of the beautifully maintained gardens and I slept very well
- trothw (10/5): Bronte Hotel - peace in the heart of Harare - A wonderful place for work and for relaxation. Excellent staff, food and gardens to wander round in; lovely sculptures and a fine swimming pool.
- amaigwilo (10/5): Good hotel to stay, I recommend. - I enjoyed my stay at Bronte, beautiful garden scenery, the rooms are kept clean and the staff are warm and friendly.
- ckabade (10/5): Excellent - The place is so warm and welcoming close to the CBD and shops at five Avenue. Bronte has increased it's security to the rooms. Furthermore the place is quite good for someone who wants to rest and study. The rooms are quite spacious and very comfortable. It was a good experience being at Bronte. The breakfast was superb and saved hot which l really liked most. Thank you for the excellent service. I will come with my family and tell my colleagues about spending a weekends and holidays at Bronte Hotel
- Peter (10/5): - An oasis in the middle of Harare.
- Donal (10/5): - Just a lovely property with fabulous gardens
- Winfrida (10/5): - Very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast can improve.
- amapunda18 (8/5): Good place to stay, a bit pricey though - Bronte is a peaceful place to stay, my main complaint about it was that some things are overly expensive compared to most top hotels....for example things like soft drinks, certain basic foods etc. were far too pricey. Menu also didnt have many options like many other top hotels i.e. you couldnt have say traditional food if you wanted that.
Also the budget rooms, for the money that you pay should include much better things like air conditioning and better bathing items etc.
- Debra (10/5): - Professional and friendly service.
- Margret (10/5): - Excellent customer service
- James (10/5): Excellent place - Arrived in the evening to the soundtrack of frogs! Fortunately the noise is not intrusive. The reception and other staff were excellent, welcoming without hovering. The room was as described. The air-conditioning worked and took away the heat efficiently.
The breakfast selection was great and catered for most palates
Not everything was excellent.
The bathroom taps were loose and the extractor fan was somewhat noisy.
- Edith (8/5): - This was not my first visit to the Bronte. After the first night in the hotel, many of the long time employees recognized me -- and said, "Welcome Back." How lovely that was. It felt like coming home.
- Kathleen (10/5): - Beautiful gardens and excellent staff!
- Kieth (10/5): - Awesome staff and so kind patient nad helpful.
- Chris (10/5): - Great place to stay in Harare
- Christopher (8/5): - Great grounds, good breakfast and friendly staff. Gym and pool are nice too. But I wish the room had a mini fridge.
- Brendan (8/5): - Very unique and beautiful gardens with friendly efficient service and good food
- Cosmas (10/5): - Comfortable stay
- Edith (8/5): - From my room, I was surrounded by natural beauty and a lovely small pool, The staff were excellent -- greeting, serving the resident needs. All service personal were charming, smart, and poised to assist.
- Malgorzata (10/5): - The best hotel in Harare.
I spent 10 wonderful days in the hotel. The surroundings are charming, parking, security, 1 minute to the shopping center but very quiet area. The service is at the highest level, all staff are very nice and helpful, the food is wonderful (especially breakfast) and the cleaning service is polite, super fast and very thorough. The rooms are well equipped and very clean. Thank you to the whole staff for making my stay pleasant.
