Guest Reviews
- Sosa (8/5): -
- Suarez (10/5): - La ubicación y la limpieza Todo,bien
- Garcia Flores (8/5): - La limpieza y ubicación Hacia mucho frío y el agua caliente casi no salia
- Aleksandra (7/5): Great location but rather expensive for the standard - Great location, walking distance from the main square Room was overall clean (though bed covers felt a bit worn out) but with very basic equipment/furniture, especially for the price we paid (£160+ per night)

- nayeli (10/5): - Cómoda y buen precio
- Mark (7/5): I moved after one night just to have Internet and a small fridge which are important to me. - You get what you pay for. The staff was pleasant. The facility was clean and kept up well. No Internet, no hairdryer and mattress was lumpy.
- Lauren (8/5): - Family run, friendly and comfortable for our short stay.
- Andrewwebb (7/5): Good -
- Mary (8/5): - The staff was very helpful. Premises are a little run down, but the beds were clean and comfortable. Good area near the basilica, very safe and walkable, easy walk to the main plaza.
- Tamsin (10/5): I have stayed here three times I love it so much! The staff are friendly and helpful. -
- Sue99 (10/5): Exceptional - Really good location. Staff very helpful. We flooded our room because we didn't unplug shower drain. Put all our bags (heavy) on the bed. When we got back the bed had been made! Great service Nada!
- David (10/5): - Had a quiet room in the back, no problems. Plenty of blankets for the winter cold. Avoid the front section of the hotel, lots of noise including 6:30am church bells across the street.
- Robert (8/5): Basic affordable hotel that offers quiet, security and a good location. - Convenient location next to the Basilica for easy parking and walking to the main centro areas. Quiet, clean and secure with a nice courtyard to relax. Good value for the money. I stayed in 2 different rooms on two different occasions. The first room was small and basic with one outlet and a dim bathroom. The second room upstairs was larger and better appointed including 2 beds, outlets and a larger brighter bathroom with a separate patio to enjoy. No real heating source as typical with Patzcuaro hotels other than blankets as nights can get cold.
- Yuli (9/5): Superb - The owner is very helpful and friendly, the bedroom was big and very comfortable
- Diane (7/5): Good -
- Tamsin (10/5): Great place, friendly, immaculately clean and only a 2 minute walk to the beautiful Plaza Grande. -

Me volvería a quedar.

- A (9/5): Enjoyed our stay at this sweet hotel in a nice location and the price was awesome! - Lovely quiet little colonial style hotel with very friendly hosts. Basic comfort and a very affordable price in a great location. Very nice inner courtyards. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice place on a budget. Not the cleanest room but the sheets and towels were bleach white. The room was very damp and the pillows and bed were quite hard but it was so nice and quiet that we slept well anyway. The wifi was iffy but it worked most of the time.
- Guadalupe (4/5): - Bathrooms are tiny. Almost imposiible to shower or use toilet. Door doesnt close all the way. Visible mold.
- Luz (10/5): Exceptional -

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Muy bien......................................................
- Raine (6/5): Why don’t hotels in Patzcuaro have heat?? - I have been staying at this hotel for more than 20 years. What has changed? Very little. Things work but need upgrading, The lighting, if anything, gets darker and darker as lower wattage bulbs get substituted by the new management. I’d say it would be good lighting for a mole. Impossible to read by, just enough light to find the bathroom which is cold porcelain and steel with never anywhere to set your kit on. There is wifi, locked inside a thick brick walled room so the signal extends about six feet. There has been a fix promised for at least six years but never has materialized. That is why I cut my visit short this year and moved hotels. Great location if you don’t mind bells, and if you are in Mexico you had better get used to them. Would I stay there again? Probably, out of habit.
- Gina (10/5): - Excelente ubicación, excelente trato y todos dispuestos a ayidar
- Gabriela (6/5): Great location but you get what you pay for - The beds feel like steel but the location is supreme. Friendly staff, the water volume for the shower was an issue.
- Pansy (6/5): Quiet hotel near the main square. - Good calm base near all main sights & shops. Mattresses were comfortable but although sheets were clean, they didn’t fit beds properly. Curtains were not long enough so about a foot of bedroom was visible! The bathroom needs updating
Fabulous Mexican restaurant nearby called Tradicion, which is open for great breakfasts & Michoacan food until 6pm
SUPER LIMPIO.
- Chong Keng (6/5): A room that's warm - There was no air conditioning and no ventilation. Room was very warm
- David J (10/5): - Our favourite place to eat is at a hamburger stand which sets up after 6:30pm. The shops as well as the plazas are wonderful. We enjoyed parades with brass band and fireworks.
- Nikki (6/5): Beautiful sunny terraces, tight quarters and noisy - The rooms are small, and you can hear everything. I'm a sound sleeper, but guests checking in in the middle of the night will wake you up. The walls are thin, the doors and windows are wooden and lock with latches. The rooms all border the terrace area, it's very pretty but forget privacy. There is a tiny fireplace and they supply wood. There is a basilica across the street that rings their bells every half hour, and a rooster that chimes in too. The man running the hotel is lovely, when you can find him. The elderly aunts that run the place are pretty grumpy. We stayed in a double-bed room. There was a few feet around the sides and foot of the bed, the bathroom and a closet for your clothes. Very tight quarters. I would recommend a larger room with two beds. The water pressure is very poor and the shower head sprayed in every direction, so keep your clothes out of there while showering. Our friends in adjacent room had the same problem. The toilet clogs easily, I think they recommend putting your paper in the garbage instead of flushing it. The internet connection was good and there was a plug to charge my laptop in the room. The compound is closed at 10pm for security, but guests can ring the doorbell and be let in at all hours. It's two blocks from the town square. We went for Day of the Dead and our street was filled with flower vendors, the smell was beautiful. Loved the festival, the food in town was fabulous, we recommend Almuerzos & La Surtidora.
