The staff, especially Ketut, were always friendly and helpful. A bit of a walk to the main road - wasnt so bad during the day but as a solo traveller it a bit sketchy at night.

I came back from snorkelling with the dolphins leaving early in the morning. I returned after breakfast time and was still offered breakfast. ❤️

Das Zimmer (VIP) ist geräumig und das Badezimmer unter dem freien Himmel ist groß. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist frisch und schmackhaft zubereitet.

• Alan (9/5): Very relaxing! - Small and quiet, which after Ubud was fantastic. The room with outside bathroom was superb, and breakfast made to order 5m from the beach was an absolute pleasure. The sunbeds were very comfortable and shaded by lovely trees, and you could do lengths in the pool. Highly recommend this hotel. You must see the dolphins, but arrange through a company not the hotel. Even then they won’t go out unless conditions are calm.

Staff was exeptionally friendly and helpful, great room cleaning service. Due to the location next to the water and trees there were many mosquitos and other critters (like everywhere in bali) - a good mosquito repellent is advised.

Garden backing onto the beach was a fantastic spot to relax with lovely daybed and vegetation. Staff a great help organising scooter rental and anything needed. Should have stayed longer.

These will sleep 2 adults 2 children and are spacious with Balinese furniture and a bathroom which is partially outdoors, in some cases with plants in the bathroom. The pool and garden are lovely and well maintained, and the pool is a good size for a small hotel, the kids rated it best pool of the holidays. Also the hotel is very good value for money. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We were welcomed with a refreshing welcome drink that instantly set the tone for a relaxing and indulgent stay. It was a small but thoughtful touch that made us feel genuinely cared for and immediately at ease. One of the standout features of the hotel is its stunning pool area. The pool is beautifully maintained and generously sized, making it ideal for both relaxing swims and leisurely lounging. Surrounded by a lovely deck and comfortable lounge chairs, it became a natural gathering place where guests could unwind, soak up the atmosphere, and easily strike up friendly conversations. The shared pool spaces created a wonderful sense of community, and we truly enjoyed making new friends with fellow travelers in such a relaxed and open setting. The VIP room was another absolute highlight of our stay. Spacious, grand, and undeniably luxurious, it felt more like a private retreat than a hotel room. The size alone was impressive, but it was the sense of calm, comfort, and understated elegance that made it truly special. It offered plenty of space to relax and recharge, making it perfect for a longer, more indulgent stay. Dining at the Frangipani Hotel was a delight. Breakfasts were grand, with American. Continental and Indonesian options available along with kid options! More nights to stay at Frangipani!! Literally it is a palace of a hotel right on the beach.. what more could you ask for?

• Barbera (8/5): Mooie locatie aan het strand - Het ligt echt op een prachtige locatie, zo aan het strand. Dat stelt niet zoveel voor, klein en veel rommel. Er is een heerlijk zwembad bij met voldoende ligplekken in de zon of de schaduw. Het ontbijt was prima, voldoende keuze. De kamer was ook netjes, bed sliep goed. De badkamer even wennen zo half open, ik miste wel een beetje privacy omdat het personeel zich regelmatig naast onze badkamer ophield of die ruimte inging. Maar alles went, gewoon een kwestie van je erover heen zetten. Wat ik erg leuk vond bij aankomst dat er overal van die heerlijk ruikende frangipani bloemen lagen verspreid in onze kamer en badkamer. In de omgeving zijn er voldoende warungs waar je lekker op of aan het strand kun eten. Maar voor winkeltjes oid moet je wel een stukje lopen. Niets

Very peaceful to lie out on beds and let wind drift in from the beach. Excellent fresh breakfast cooked in little kitchen/dining area. As a small boutique hotel limited facilities but as expected. Couple in next room started moving at 5.00AM one morning moving chairs, coughing incessantly as they headed out for dawn walk so noise insulation between rooms could be better. Safe but dark 500m walk in from main road at night we were dodging some scooters and frogs!

La localisation est parfaite face a la mer avec un petit accès direct sur la plage. Proche du centre ville entre 5/10 minutes mais en marchant le long de la plage donc vraiment très agréable. Petit bémol pas beaucoup de choix pour la restauration mais pas trop grave il y a un super restaurant les pieds dans le sable juste à côté.

• Sandra (9/5): Fantastisch verblijf aan zee. - Wat een fantastische plek aan zee. Vanuit de tuin loop je er zó in. Het zwembad is heerlijk en alles eromheen is gezellig. Bedjes bij het zwembad liggen zalig. Vanuit de tuin naar links is gelijk een hele goede Warung restaurant met prima prijzen. We hadden de grote villa met uitzicht op zee, waanzinnig! Echt een aanrader, had er nog wel wat nachten extra willen blijven. Oja, centrum is vlakbij: loop de tuin uit naar links en dan zijn 5 minuten en je ziet de boulevard al. Niets, alles was goed.
• Sandra (10/5): Perfect! - Alles was perfect! De kamer (Vip room), het zwembad, het restaurant, het personeel, de ligging. Hele ruime kamer, mooie tuin dat direct aan het strand grenst. Heelijk zwembad, alles wordt erg goed schoon gehouden. We hebben 2x de dolfijnen watch gedaan en beide keren bij het hotel in de boot gestapt. Tip: regel dit ter plaatse en niet via een organisatiebureau je betaalt dan behoorlijk meer. Via een pad langs het strand loop je binnen 10 minuten naar het centrum. Op het strand direct bij de uitgang van het hotel zit een heel goed restaurant. Een grab taxi mag niet bij het hotel komen, handig om te weten.

• RinavG (9/5): Kleinschalig hotel op een heerlijk plekje - Wij hebben een heerlijk verblijf gehad in dit fijne, kleinschalige hotel. Het personeel is uiterst vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De tuin is goed onderhouden en bied een mooi uitzicht. Zowel links als rechts van het hotel zijn er op een paar minuten lopen diverse restaurants en plekjes om de sublieme zonsondergang te kunnen aanschouwen. De badkamer is buiten en mooi, alleen maken de kiezels en wiebelende staptegels het iets minder comfortabel. Verder een absolute aanrader! Walking distance to restaurants which are again right on the beach and magnificent sunsets. To us Lovina is Bali 30 years ago. We have already booked for next year.A A small thing needs thicker sheets, quilt etc so bedding keeps you covered and not ending up a mess alongside you, if you get what I mean.
