Rebecca (10/5): - This was a small hotel located in the center of St. Maximin-la-Sainte Baume. The rooms are very clean and charming. The breakfast is fantastic and free parking lots are nearby. It is a 5 minute walk to the Church of Saint Mary Magdalene and about a 30-45 minute drive to the St Mary Magdalene Grotto. Staff are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel and area.

It’s directly in the centre of the town and 5 mins away from the basilica of St Mary Magdalene - whose skull is on display there. A beautiful experience overall.

The room was basic but provided all our needs and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel was close to the town square for our evening meal.

On trouves de la poussière par terre dès l'ouverture de la porte et sur le sèche-cheveux ainsi que de la moisissure dans la douche et cette dernière ne se ferme pas complètement. Sinon les parties commune et la réception sont belles et le restaurant donne envie mais nous n’y sommes pas allé.

Chantal (6/5): Déception - Il faisait chaud et il n’y avait pas de climatisation. Il fallait la réinitialiser m’a indiquée la réceptionniste. Ce qui aurait dû être fait avant le séjour du client. Mais malheureusement une fois la climatisation réinitialisée, le boîtier ne marchait pas et dans l’impossibilité de la régler ou de l’éteindre, il a fait froid toute la nuit. Ça fait cher 110€ La nuit. Je suis allée plusieurs fois dans cet hôtel et la qualité a baissé. De plus quand on demande un réglage les femmes de chambres laissent la porte ouverte. Heureusement rien n’avait été laissé dans la chambre. Méfiez vous aussi si vous restez plusieurs jours. si vous commande le petit déjeuner le premier jour, les autres jours se mettent automatiquement, même si vous n’en voulez pas.
Yann (4/5): Bof bof… - La chambre (standard) n’était pas bien grande mais suffisante, bien isolée phoniquement de l’extérieur malgré la vue sur une rue passante. La literie mériterait un rafraichIssement. La poignée de la porte principale était à moitié dévissée et a failli nous rester entre les mains. La porte n’est absolument pas isolée phoniquement et nous avons sursauté une ou deux fois dans notre sommeil matinal. La cabine de douche était minuscule (au point de ne pas pouvoir se pencher) et sa porte ne fermait pas bien (obligé de s’y reprendre à 3 ou 4 fois pour avoir une jointure acceptable). Les finitions de la salle de bain n’étaient clairement pas au niveau avec des joints aléatoires et irréguliers. La salle de petit déjeuner est bien décorée et le petit déjeuner sympa avec des produits locaux.

BETON (6/5): Déçue - Au premier abord, bonne impression générale pour un 3 étoiles. Ensuite déception pour la chambre standard étroite, dont la salle d'eau aurait mérité d'être refaite: cabine de douche très étroite et vieillissante (joints de carrelage sales, portes fermant mal...) chasse d'eau des WC fonctionnant mal. La chambre située au premier étage au-dessus de la salle de restaurant s'est avérée mal isolée phoniquement: tous les bruits de conversations et chaises tirées s'entendant comme si on y était :-( , très tard et tôt aussi ! Pour finir un café très moyen avec un buffet moyen au niveau qualité pour le prix... Literie correcte.

Verified traveler (6/5): It's an "okay" place to stay - The Hotel is located in a central area of this little city which is convenient. Be advised that there is no parking at the hotel itself as it is located on the main street and even to load/unload the car during daytime is challenging as it is not possible to stop there. There is a free public parking about 50 metres away from the hotel. Also there is no reception from about 11 pm-7:30 am, so if you arrive at that time, you will be given a code to enter the hotel and check yourself in. The hotel is clean but the rooms are relatively small, missing some shelving/chairs. We couldn't find enough space to put our things. The biggest thing for us was lack of lighting in the room. Even with all the available lights on, the room was very dark in some places and we couldn't see anything at night. There is breakfast available on property (just downstairs) for 11 euro and we found it good enough although not extensive. The reception lady wasn't too friendly, neither was she rude. It felt she was rather indifferent during the check out. The overall stay at the hotel was fine for us and there was nothing particularly bad but it is not a place where we would love to come back to unless we need a place to stay and have no other options. P.S. AMEX credit card wasn't accepted even though we were reassured that it was beforehand.

Hotel claims to have free parking, but in fact it is a public parking lot near by. Nice atmosphere, good restaurant (book your table, the restaurant is popular and busy at night). By all means – try the pizza. Breakfast is nice, but the staff could do better on refilling the buffet. We had to wait a long time for our morning coffee. That's sad, when everything else was great about the place. Even though I'd definitely recommend a stay here!
MICHEL (8/5): Bon séjour mais... - Bonjour Un bon séjour d'une seule nuit . Malheureusement, pas de parking si ce n'est celui de la ville à 100 mètres et PAYANT ( 1,5 € la nuit ) . L'hôtel devrait pourvoir au paiement en l'incluant dans le prix de la chambre. D'autre part, pas de sèche cheveux dans la chambre ( il faut le réclamer à la réception !!! ). Pour un hôtel de cette catégorie , 3 étoiles, j'ai été très surpris. Cette " prestation " , si j'ose m'exprimer ainsi , devrait être imposée par le syndicat de l'hôtellerie ou une autre administration, d'autant plus que la somme à " investir " est dérisoire. Merci
Jim (8/5): - I booked the room on Expedia and when I arrived, the desk told me the room was too small for the amount of luggage I had and that we really needed a larger room which was reasonable. I would like Expedia to indicate whether the rooms at this hotel are small or large so that one is not confronted with booking a larger more expensive room on arrival. This was not the hotel’s fault but Expedia’s. I have stayed at this hotel 4 times before having booked directly withe the hotel without difficulty. The hotel is very good and its restaurant is excellent but Expedia’s lack od description of smal or larfe rooms is a problem

Laurent (4/5): 3* pas justifiées - L'isolation phonique des fenêtres est à revoir car la rue est très bruyante. Il quasi impossible de se garer car le mardi soir car le mercredi c'est le marché. J'ai eu l'occasion de rencontrer de petites bêtes noires (type scarabée) dans la salle di restaurant et la salle de bain.
Baroudeur (10/5): L'art de savoir recevoir. Merci - Séjour très agréable. Que ce soit au restaurant ou à la réception.. Un accueil a la hauteur des plus grands. Merci vraiment.
LIGIA (6/5): Not a place I would stay again. - The hotel is not bad but the room they gave me was much too small and the bathroom was totally impossible to function in. You could not even turn around in the shower it was so small and because it was old the water seeped out of the shower doors and wet the whole floor. However, the restaurant of the hotel is excellent and they serve a wonderful breakfast for 11 Euros. The staff was very helpful and nice.

Keith (6/5): Nice stay. - Nice stay. Room was a little small but quite nice. Would have liked some tea/coffee making facilities but I guess that is quite rare in France. Good location near centre of the town.
Rudolf (10/5): Nice small hotel - We only were in Saint Maximin Saint Baum for one brief night on our way to the Nice airport, but have no complaints about this hotel whatsoever. Basic, but nice, newly renovated, clean and convenient.
Ann (10/5): Very helpful staff - Reception staff were very helpful with our daughter's food allergy. The staff in the restaurant were able to translate the dinner menu.
SJ (10/5): At last a great night sleep - Extremely comfortable, clean and well fitted out. Great service.
