- Dominquette (3/5): - I liked that there was availability... because we traveled from Corpus and Cameron was full I didn't like the bugs (looked like bed bugs) in the first room...the tv didn't work with the remote... the room smelled horrible and there were stains on the sofa bed and no blankets for it... in the second room the shower was horrible not enough towels and there were strands of hair on the sheets smh

- John (10/5): Book here at SureStay any chance you get in Rockdale. - Very convenient, the room was well done, comfortable, and clean each day I came back and the staff (especially A.J.) was very helpful to accommodate my stay during the winter storm while away from home for work. None, everything was well done.

- Cliff (6/5): - The carpet in the room felt dirty turned but couldn't tell it due to it being a dark color; caused bottom of feet to turn black. The shower rod was coming off the wall, so the curtain wouldn't stay closed to keep water from getting on the floor. The 2 lamps in the room each had defective bulbs and one of the lavatory outlets was not working; needs replacing. Appears most guests were all put on the same side of the hotel and numerous guests stayed outside partying until after 10 pm. The continental breakfast was very disappointing, with very little variety of items and coffee bottle ran out rather quickly. Staff was very friendly though and probably the best thing I can say about this hotel. I make this trip to Rockdale once a year and stay several days. Unless I have no choice, I will not stay here again.

- Camden (8/5): - The room was a little old but that's expected for the country and the breakfast wasn't much and the operating hours was a little early for me but my main issue was with the second door lock being so loose that it could come off the door frame.
- clayton (10/5): Nice for the price. - Just needed a place to sleep for the night. The gentleman who checked us in was very nice. Room was very large. The bed was so soft i slept all night. Bath towels were soft..not rough like other lower price hotels. Room 117 the AC was a bit noisey till i fell asleep. Breakfast is waffles, toast, nutrigrain bars or hostess snacks. Milk, orange juice and coffee. Eish they provided peanut butter for the waffles.

- Dama (8/5): - The room was excellent and clean. The Ac worked great. The pool needs a hand rail on the shallow end for elderly. They didn’t have vending machines. The breakfast was minimal. The overall experience was pleasant.
- Kevin (2/5): BUGS - There were multiple dead bugs in the restroom when we arrived. The room smelled musty as soon as we walked through the door. The worst of all was my wife felt something crawling on her head at night she reached for it and crushed a cockroach. So if you’re looking for a lovely night full of creepy crawlers then this is the place for you. Also the pillow that came with the cot had pee stains on it and reeked. Would not recommend this place to anyone and all should be aware of the horrible conditions this place is in.

Hole in shower wall above the faucet, Couldn't shower. Sink and faucet dirty, No alarm clock. Get rid of carpet, dirty.

- Dixie (4/5): The worst - It was new clean like The pool was closed, and they didn’t tell us the nit very nice lady said did you see the sign it was little and mixed in with other signs. She didn’t even tell us when we checked in. We left my service dog because we weren’t allowed to take them with us and I got a nasty phone call telling me that he received many calls about my dog. There weren’t anyone checked in at that time but two when we came back my dog wouldn’t quit barking because of the noise next to us. My dog never acted like that something had scared them. Then said that I had to take them the next day & I said oh I definitely will we will never stay there. What they claim a lot of things and didn’t.

- dsschreck (4/5): Needing a lot of upgrading - Staff was very friendly, however, the hotel is in need of numerous repairs/updates. Internet didn’t work, water pressure was hit and miss, TV didn’t work, security match broken, etc.
- Isabel (5/5): Enjoyed the stay. Did not enjoy the way SureStay took so much money out of our bank account. - The property was clean and comfortable. We were charged over $400 dollars for two rooms for one night. Our bank statements indicated SureStay took out $85 four times as well as an additional $100. In total SureStay took out $440 out of our debit card. We are very disappointed that SureStay would do such a thing. We contacted the manager and were refunded $170. But we still have $100 missing.

- trguajardo (10/5): Great value for the price!! - We were in town for an appointment early the next morning after a 4hr drive so did not need anything extravagant or fancy. No high-dollar room needed. Just somewhere to sleep, shower and grab a quick breakfast snack. This place was perfect. Older hotel but beds were clean and comfortable. Shower was clean and water pressure great. Room did not smell musty but fresh and clean. Staff was very friendly. Breakfast was just enough. Got exactly what I was expecting for the price. Will have to come back for future appointments so will definitely stay again. Thanks!
- Margus (7/5): Ok place to stay for one night. - Typical SureStay hotel, nothing special. A place to sleep over and move forward to next town (that was also the case for us). Also typical breakfast for a small hotel in America: coffee, some flakes, a waffle machine - evertyhing`s sweet and sugar-coated :) ; no scrambled eggs. Everything offered for breakfast contained lot of sugar. Maybe it would be a good idea to add some salty staff (and add $5 or so to the room price if needed). But I guess it depends on the demand and the opinion of other guests also. A friend of mine found some cockroaches in his room.

But I reserved the other room for my brother and once he arrived he asked for ground level room and she told him all they had left was upstairs. There were TWO vehicles in the parking lot the entire time we were there. That’s ridiculous! And then of course I had to go ahead and pay for that extra room that sat empty. I asked her if they were able to sell the other room to which she replied, “not that I’m aware”. Really?? What is her job but to BE AWARE?!
