Guest Reviews

- Roger (4/5): While very helpful staff, the pub venue activities need to be alerted to potential guests - Nice staff on check in. Room was super clean. The bedroom was small, but bathroom was large. Great shower and amenities. Had dinner on our first night. Good casual food. A nice touch was guest discounts on first bar drinks. And hotel staff were very helpful with trying to help us sort out a credit, when we had to check out early (see below). Guest rooms are on the first floor; no elevator, but stairs are manageable. Plenty of unsecured guest parking on site. Handy to station and Pacific Highway, so good to get around from. Some noise from trains and highway, so be aware of that. A lot more noise from being a pub venue though. Be very aware if you book here, this is a busy pub venue, with frequent functions. The night we checked in (Thursday) there was a Trivia Night with a large crowd. Our room was directly above, so no rest until event finished. Then staff moved furniture late night and again early next morning, so very limited sleep for us. We decided to check out, and not risk staying Fri/Sat/Sun which would likely have other events scheduled. My view is that there is inadequate sound-proofing of the guest rooms. I explained to Duty Manager why we were leaving. And reported problem to Booking.com. The former agreed to give a credit, however we are still battling with Booking.com to receive it. It forced us to request a charge reversal from my Credit Card provider. Again, I repeat these comments are no reflection on the hotel - totally due to our disappointing treatment by Booking.com.

- Megan (8/5): - Nice spacious rooms close to station. Good restaurant and bar downstairs. Very quiet considering it’s on a main road. Na

- John (9/5): Good value - Close to rail Stairs

- margaret (7/5): Happy to stay again but in a different room away from traffic. - Lovely fee to the hotel Road traffic was definitely very difficult to deal with at night causing very little sleep.
- Simpson (7/5): -
- Simon (6/5): Overall good value and would stay again when the location suits, but probably wouldn’t travel from the city without a fe - Nice pub with very friendly staff. Good food from a standard pub menu. Shower was fantastic with really nice shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Close to Pymble train station. The bed kind of sank too much in the middle while the bar fridge was very loud (had to turn it off) and the air-con also made loud cracking noises. Would benefit from double glazed windows given its location sandwiched between a major arterial road and train line.
- Megan (8/5): Base for starting the cycling event called Bobbo Classic nearby. - Excellent staff. Very friendly and helpful.
Great food at the pub downstairs from the rooms.
Cracking shower.
French Cafe opposite train station great for coffee and breakfast as not offered at hotel. Feeling claustrophobic.
Not able to open a window to outside.
Not even able to see outside. Windows completely frosted.
Very very small room. I was single with minimal luggage yet had next to no room to move around.
I stayed here due to the proximity of a cycling event but I’m not sure otherwise what the draw card is as while Pymble is a lovely area there are no attractions nearby.
- Matt (8/5): Good overnight accommodation option, clean with good food options and great location. - Location and food options No significant complaints
- Gibson (10/5): Easy to access. Great welcome awesome food. - Excellent service and food. The discount cards were appreciated and because of this we stayed at the bar and used them for food and drinks. We got bitten on the second night. Would be good if the rooms could be sprayed after they are cleaned.
- Jo (9/5): Best steak sandwich - Good shower, location , beds.
They provided milk water and ear plugs but it really wasn't that noisy for a Friday night. Barely heard the music. Stairs
- John (8/5): Good value for money - Close to railway No breakfast facilities
- Velez (9/5): -
- Norman (8/5): Room was clean and comfortable although a little compact. We went out for dinner with friends but when we returned it wa - Comfortable bed Parking was difficult
- David (7/5): - Location and ease of access to train station Water sometimes smelt a bit funny in bathroom
- Scott (10/5): -
- Shadya (8/5): - Everything' None
- Kate (8/5): Lovely staff & comfortable accommodation. Maybe just pack some earplugs - Lovely, helpful staff, comfortable beds. Nice food choices in the restaurant.
Easy free parking.
Close to a little shopping strip with cafes. A bit noisy as it is an older building on the Pacific Highway.
There is no lift which was challenging for my aging parents.
- MSArefin (9/5): -
- Mark (8/5): - A little noisy from
The road.
- Saeid (1/5): Not recommended - No reception staff just bar staff doing that which is so unprofessional. Room was too tiny for queen bed size , bed was moving around wasn’t stable, no ventilation system in room, while split unit was working was too cold or too humid because no air circulation.
- Shaun (8/5): -
- Lindsey (7/5): -
- Christie (7/5): -
- Emma (10/5): Would stay again. Convenient location, clean comfortable room, bar & bistro downstairs & park car at the door. - Free parking and access to train station. Comfy beds, free drink vouchers on arrival. Nothing
- DOROTHEA RAMSAY (3/5): NOWHERE TO SIT. - Location and on site parking good Tiny room noisy air con, excessive light from air con temp guage and tv stand bye light.Nowhere comfortable to sit.Asked for a chair but did not fit in room,All spaces to sit only open after 10.00am and during pub hours no guest only lounge even though space for that there.
- Bartlett (9/5): Convenient and very good. - Perfect overnight stay close to relatives. Nil
- ellen (8/5): -
- Phillip (9/5): -
- Terri (7/5): - It was a little noisy on the highway
- Rita (6/5): nice clean room. but no breakfast available and road is too noisy. - The staff were very nice. My room #1 was too noisy with trucks passing by from 4am.
- amanda (9/5): -
- Whitton (7/5): -
- Leota (10/5): -
- Rachel (8/5): Would definitely stay again - The room over all was very comfortable and clean. Attention to detail in cleaning the shower wouldn’t go astray… bottom of shower was slimy and mouldy…

- Richard (10/5): A bit of a nostalgic return to Pymble - Close to the rail station. A lovely character pub and hotel to stay at. Renovated nicely with all the comforts I needed to refresh and sleep after a long hot day
- Derran (8/5): -
- Ruth (9/5): -
- Jonathan (10/5): Great night away - Our 4th Stay at Nightcap Pymble.
The staff are always polite, food is great and the rooms are always super clean. Cost per night is better than many others in the area and the location is great. I cant fault this place even after 4 visits.
- Bernadette (7/5): -
- Lynne (8/5): -
- Jennifer (8/5): - Clean , quiet and comfortable Nothing
- Julia (7/5): -
- Jill (8/5): I'd happily stay there again if I'm training in the area. - I was impressed with the staff. Friendly, helpful, nothing too much bother. Made it a pleasure staying there
- Stuart (8/5): - Location and dinner both good.
- Rebecca (9/5): Absolutely Perfect and Surprising - The hotel was so gorgeous! The interior was fantastic - although the rooms were small, they suited my needs and were modern and clean. The bar and restaurant was great and the food was fantastic! The staff were super friendly. There was nothing really but I did notice the traffic noise but it is on a main road so was expected and the Netflix was in Spanish and I couldn't work out how to change it! haha
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Jo (9/5): Comfy but small. - Comfy beds, new bathroom No lift, but nothing a little muscle lifting Suitcases up stairs couldn't fix.
- Patrick (9/5): -
- Lee (7/5): -
- zhang (4/5): - Great location All the windows were sealed shut and could not be opened for ventilation.
- Susan (9/5): Very enjoyable and would definetly stay again but not in the summer. - Didnt buy breakfast, location convenient. Lovely art deco style room with good service, but air conditioner struggled as it was 40 degrees.' Convenient parking, free and excellent meal in pub restaurant at a good price. Air conditioner not really working, exhaust fan in bathroom not working. Everything was very clean and bins were emptied every day which was great.
- Rowena (8/5): Comfortable, clean, cozy, affordable - The place was very cozy and comfortable. Plenty of space in the car park which is very important for the visit. I came in for room for service every day and it was really clean. The shower was amazing it was this big overhead rainfall type shower. We each got a free drink for our stay. And the price is very reasonable. There was not much I didn't like honestly you get what you get. It's cozy comfortable it's by no means a five-star hotel but it's nice. The air conditioning was good, we stayed there a couple of days and it had everything we needed to have a good night sleep. The place didn't feel dingy or dirty, it was in a nice area to drive to right next to the train station as well, and overall the whole area was relatively quiet and peaceful.
- shelton (6/5): -
- Noushin (9/5): -
- Brett (8/5): -
- Juan (9/5): -
- Lina (6/5): Okay for a City excursion - Very near to the train station
Nice cafes nearby Very small room
Not very clean (shower, duvet cover)
Couldn’t open a window in the room
- Nadine (9/5): -
- Megan (10/5): -
- Gerlinde (9/5): - Beide Fenster hatten undurchsichtigem Glas.
Das hat mich sehr gestört.
- Craig (7/5): Great location, really good staff and very good value for money. - Great location and the staff are very helpful and patient. The room is extremely well insulated from train noise (as it is on a railway line), and the bathroom refurbishments are very well done. Great value and a comfortable stay. The bedding is a little bit soft and the pillows are very spongy, The noise from inconsiderate patrons staying in the hotel is always an issue due to it being an older hotel.
- Kaylie (10/5): -
- Megan (10/5): Brilliant. Would stay again. Great location for what I needed, smooth journey into CBD. All needsmet - The staff were so attentive. I was told how to get in after hours on arrival which I didn't even think to ask myself, and would've needed and another told me about the underpass to cross the road safely. The food was outstanding in the restaurant and the service to the lady that recommended what I should drink with my meal when I asked. In room 4 either replace the mirror or just take it off the wall - really not a problem but it's asking me a question
- Tamara (8/5): Clean and comfortable - Rooms were clean and comfortable for a short stay. Only a large flight of stairs to access rooms so it wouldn’t be ideal if you had a lot of luggage. My elderly mother struggled. Rooms were very snug so again not great with a lot of things.
- Ollie (7/5): -
- Puja (3/5): - Spider webs and spiders were in the property
- Oliver (10/5): -
- Thitiya (8/5): -
- TIm (9/5): - Really good rooms with great bathrooms. Nice and quiet and dark.
- Vanessa (8/5): - Convenient location. Airconditioner was noisy and couldnt adjust the sweep to stop the clicking noisr. No chair or small bench to eat at or do work.
- Edwin (1/5): Was very disappointed and would not recommend this place. - Location not great. Water Tap head was very loose, not properly attached to the base. Bathroom too small. Bedroom too small and does not have the essentials, like phone, a box of tissues, etc. Could offer bigger beds.
Was very disappointed when I requested hotel staff to provide toilet roll and bar soap when they were running out. Hotel staff responded she would provide later but never did during our entire stay.
- Ciara (10/5): -
- Anthony (8/5): Comfortable and convenient. Helpful staff - Location - close to train
- Darren (8/5): A good place to rest your head. Price fluctuations can take you by surprise. A few weeks earlier I had a larger room for - Location is ideal for rail transport Very small for the price point
- Craig (7/5): Comfortable stay with an excellent bathroom (recently renovated). - The location of the hotel was excellent and the renovation of the bathroom was a job well done. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room was very dark at night, which I enjoyed immensely (helped with sleep). The bed mattress was a little soft, but otherwise the hotel was very good and the staff were very accommodating. Rude and noisy guests very early on Sunday morning (5:30am) was a disappointment - but this could not be helped by the staff. Just rude, inconsiderate people (which Australia is gaining more of each day).
- Xiaogang (1/5): -
- Erathnage (10/5): -
- Ingrid (8/5): Comfortable, friendly, convenient with bar and Restuarant downstairs. Easy car access to the north - Excellent $10 drinks vouchers
Delicious meal downstairs
Clean The room is tiny. This could have been clearer in the advert
- Melinda (8/5): Great location, clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff. - Great location. Clean basic rooms, good bathroom, very comfortable beds, friendly staff. Tap in bathroom needs fixing and spare bulbs for the reading lamps should be readily available.
- Scott (10/5): Terrific short stay on the north shore - Clean & simple accommodation, great value for money. Nothing, all was good.
- Donna (10/5): had a great time here, will be back - Friendly staff, convenient location, Comfortable beds, Ear plugs were provided on the bedside table but we didn't need them at all
- Bronte (8/5): -
- Mark (8/5): -
- Baroni (10/5): -
- Sonya and Lou (8/5): Handy spot with good facilities. - Convenience, nice style. Noisy
- zhou (5/5): okay for the price point - the water pressure is very good. The ac make this weird noise and kinda messed up my sleep.
- Sarah (8/5): Comfortable bed and excellent shower with room service - Convenient spot, free parking Paint peeling on the ceiling but very clean
- John (7/5): Good value for money - Close to the railway excellent food Road noise from the traffic
- Rhonda (8/5): Comfy and easy but a bit noisy. - The location, easy parking and for an overnight stay having a bar and restaurant was perfect. Nice steak special on Wednesdays! Out of the Hotels control but the train and road noise was significant.
