Restaurant was better than bkfst stp across the road that we always thought was so great.......no more!
- Eleni (10/5): - Such a beautiful hotel! All the staff were so friendly, everything was clean and smelled good. The beds are so comfy and breakfast from the restaurant downstairs was delicious! Not one complaint. We cannot wait to return for another stay!!
- U1431PCmelissar (10/5): Outstanding hotel and service! - Our stay was so wonderful! The gentlemen at the check-in desk were so hospitable and friendly, and the welcome package with a choice of 2 complimentary glasses of lemonade or champagne was a lovely surprise! The room was beautiful and impeccably clean. Great little unexpected perks included comfy robes and slippers, lavender pillow spray, bath salts and a $10 credit to the breakfast restaurant. We will DEFINITELY stay here again as soon as possible! Favorite hotel in Ogunquit so far (and we’ve tried a lot of awesome ones)!
- Katrina (9/5): Excellent place to stay with wonderful amenities - Location is easy to get to and close to everything The restaurant ceiling fans and inside of lights were extremely dirty
- Karen (10/5): Delightful Ogunquit Winter Stay - The one bedroom suite was fabulous. The restaurant was great for breakfast. Great deals for children dining with adults.
Loved that the hotel always had complimentary coffee/tea/hot chocolate bar.
Staff were very nice.
Additionally, there are various in-town dining discounts available for guests.
Would gladly stay here again. Nothing
- F2367EIroberty (4/5): What a Shame! - Readers I must say how I feel about the Gorges Grant Hotel. I have stayed there many times in the past & always had a wonderful experience. Now with new management it seems all they care about is how to get more money out of you.
First upon arrival we were told our room wasn't ready, I knew we were early we arrived at 11:15a.m. So I understood this, but at most there were four cars in the parking area
but no rooms ready?! Then I was told for $20 more we could get a room now!!!!!! What the!!! Here starts more money. There is now a resort fee which I think is crazy especially since we don't use the pool, wi fi, gym but now it also includes parking! I remember when parking was FREE!!!!! Thank goodness we were there for one night. We also could get a room upgrade when it was available, but now no you had to pay extra.
OK so now readers it seems the new management company who have bought up many hotels in the area have changed the policy where they want more money than before and really won't listen to the guests.
Change is happening not for the better. I am sorry to see this especially since we enjoyed staying there in the past. Good bye Gorges Grant.
- 423diannem (10/5): Lovely place to stay - We love Gorges Grant! It's our favorite place to stay in Ogunquit. We are always greeted when we enter and the lobby is so inviting with multiple seating options, fireplace and assorted game tables . A welcome glass of champagne is an added plus! On sight restaurant for breakfast, pool, hot tub, and fitness room are nice amenities
- 604francescah (10/5): What a wonderful stay!! - Beautiful, year-round accommodations. Room is spacious and clean. Bed is very comfortable, pillows are great. Love the towels, too! Staff is attentive and friendly. On the occasion that we had breakfast, always very good. Will return often! Off-season rate is very reasonable and love the lobby/fireplace. Had time to use the hot tub and was a pleasant surprise. PS - Two complementary glasses of champagne are just a nice touch:)
- barbaramV9539AM (10/5): The Bedt! One overnight at Gorges Grant Hotel - We had a wonderful time. The hotel is just beautiful…..very comfortable.. relaxing and peaceful.
The room was exceptional..quiet,(we all were exhausted when we arrived). Everything was immaculate. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
The pool and hot tub were fabulous!
The breakfast was excellent.
We will be back!
- 605sadiec (10/5): Great Place - Super nice place! Good breakfast at Raspberri’s with good service. The people at the front desk were very informative and kind. 10/10 stay!
- sarahgZ4102OM (10/5): Great stay - We had a beautiful stay. Im not sure if it was a valentines weekend promo, but there was complimentary champagne upon our arrival, which was such a nice touch. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy! Will definitely be looking to stay again.
- JanetandRon2014 (10/5): Clean, Quiet, Comfortable - We have stayed at Gorges Grant before so we knew what to expect. As always we were very comfortable. Our room had 2 double beds and it was nice and cozy. Having the restaurant Raspberri’s downstairs for breakfast was icing on the cake. Delicious waffles and crispy bacon. Steve our server was wonderful. When we come back to the Ogunquit/Wells area, we will definitely stay here again.
- Roland (10/5): We loved our quiet winter stay. The complimentary champagne and hot tub made it such a nice evening. - The front desk staff was so amazing and everything was so clean and well kept. Nothing... Everything was on point
- 954annd (8/5): Highly Recomend - This was a great winter getaway. The facility is clean, the staff is very helpful. Raspberies is a great breakfast.
- Venture734977 (10/5): A total OGUNQUIT experience! - Excellent on every level. We have been coming here for at least 30 years. New owners are trying hard to keep standards high.

- Janet (10/5): 3rd time we stayed here and will come back. Very comfortable. Good ki - Breakfast was delicious. Staff were really friendly and efficient. Everything was great. N/A
- Dail (8/5): - I liked having a king size bed, many of the hotels only offer queens. The pillows were a bit over stuffed. It would have been nice to have a down pillow.
- Andrew (1/5): Poor service - Breakfast at Rasperri's. Lots of towels The thermostat in our room broke overnight Tuesday. I reported it to the front desk at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, and was told Maintenance would fix it. When that didn't happen, my wife reported it again Wednesday night. She was told Maintenance was gone for the night and couldn’t address it until Thursday. My wife asked for another room, but was told none were available. However, later that evening I was reading in the lobby when a couple and their two adult children checked in. The father complained that his party could not be provided adjoining rooms. The front desk clerk complied, claiming there was availability. There was no availability for us to move to a room with a functioning thermostat, yet the party who checked in Wednesday evening was immediately accommodated. It was very hot and humid in Ogunquit during our stay, so we had to sweat it out Wednesday night until the thermostat was fixed on Thursday. Because we were told Maintenance would fix the problem Wednesday but did not – coupled with the fact that there was availability but Gorges failed to honor it – I request that Gorges issue a credit to my Visa card for Wednesday night ($389) along with the Room/Lodging Tax ($35.01) for a total of $424.01.
- ORourke (10/5): - All of the above.
- Frank (10/5): -
- Gerald (9/5): - The staff were pleasant, the breakfast was good and was impressed by how clean the hotel and grounds were. Nothing
- 751daniap (10/5): Excellent! - Excellent late check in! Very clean- beautiful space and location!
- PAUL (9/5): Good - Clean staff personable Oder in hallway
- iriegirlmass (10/5): Always a pleasurable experience - location is great, rooms are very spaciousand clean. very quiet. nice coffee bar in the lobby. very nice at the desk .very clean. cozy lobby
- Dankese (7/5): -
- Tracey (10/5): Excellent - Exceptional service and gorgeous hotel Nothing everything was fabulous
- Robert (10/5): A most pleased experience. - Beautifully decorated and maintained. An absolute delight. Will do again. Nothing.
- Rosemary (10/5): Excellent. Highly recommend - Holiday decorations were beautiful. The cleanliness of the rooms was outstanding
- K7956HRnancys (10/5): CHRISTMAS BY THE SEA WEEKEND - Our 6th time at Gorges Grant. We love this hotel and all of the amenities. Rooms and hotel very clean, beds comfy, breakfast at Raspberri's is delicious and we love seeing Sam and Mary. The holiday decorations are gorgeous and made our stay for Christmas By The Sea so festive. Holiday music piped in the Living Room (well, we call the lobby, the living room). We love staying in the Summer and Winter. Thank you for another amazing stay.
- kellybH1177LR (10/5): Perfect stay in December! - What a BEAUTIFUL HOTEL!
We were welcomed by a big Christmas tree as we entered the front door and the lobby was adorned in ivy and Christmas lights making it extra special in December. The front desk attendant was extremely nice and helpful which made check in easy. Being able to sit and enjoy the complimentary glass of champagne or hot coco by the fireplace was a wonderful touch upon our arrival. The complimentary hot coffee in the morning was also appreciated.
The room was immaculate and the bed was very comfortable. The shower had the BEST water pressure I’ve had in a hotel. It was great after a long day walking around Ogunquit in the cold weather.
- Barbara (10/5): Excellent birthday celebration for my husband - We enjoyed all of the attention to detail, the champagne and the beautiful decorations for the holiday. The only thing we didn't like is that we probably can't afford to stay here during the summer.
- roserG4880XN (10/5): Excellent! Great location. Spotless. Very friendly staff - Beautifully decorated for the holidays. Spotless. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would highly recommend. Centrally located to shops and restaurants
- johncm607 (10/5): Upscale and new with excellent service. - Very clean with lots of upscale amenities. Recent renovations with all new fixtures and furniture. Good and free parking. Excellent breakfast but it was not included with room. Excellent front desk service. Poor internet service was the only disappointment.
- andoverdiscountdanca (10/5): wonderful - Beautiful, clean hotel in great location; great helpful staff, nice restaurant, fitness room and pool. Coffee and tea available all day.
- tracyb589 (8/5): We had a great stay despite a couple of hiccups. - The hot tub wasn’t working, they fixed it. The pool wasn’t warm, they fixed it. 👍
The shower was INCREDIBLE! Never experienced a shower with that kind of pressure before. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were high quality.
They were offering vegetable quiche for breakfast. I was so excited because I’m a vegetarian and I love quiche. That was not quiche. It was a frittata and I wouldn’t have ordered it knowing that. There was zero crust! That’s my favorite part. Very disappointing. The coffee was good.
Overall, a great property and a memorable stay with family.
- maryanngW1549QX (6/5): Not our best stay at Gorges Grant Hotel - The facility was fine, as was our room, but the WiFi service was poor at best, very spotty. I was unable to accomplish much work on my laptop during our stay. We were disappointed in the indoor pool and spa, the water temperature in both was not warm enough for us to enjoy, which was a big disappointment. I did report the issue to the front desk. The food and service at Raspberri's was good, as usual.
- Marie (10/5): If you are in the Ogunquit area, take a look at this hotel.its perfect in every way! - Perfect. I don’t know how else to describe it. Nothing
- urbanecologist (10/5): Luxury, nature and kindness all in one - A place for a luxury experience at an affordable price! Fantastic staff and facilities- near the beach and great restaurants - a perfect place to luxuriate, reflect and appreciate life!
- Meander742920 (2/5): Gift Certificate recipient beware!! - Although the stay was decent, we had a $450 wedding gift certificate, accompanied by a letter stating it had no expiration date, but the general Manager, Angel Nye, did not honor it. Nor did he bother giving us any explanation as to why. DONT GET A GIFT CERTIFICATE for this Hotel. Go instead to The Ocean House in Rhode Island, which is perfection! For some people, I guess, money is more important than integrity.
- Y420DSsherrim (10/5): Brautiful Stay & Outstanding Customer Service - Spent a quick night at the Gorges Grant in Ogunquit after seeing a show in Boston. The front desk staff when checking in and the restaurant staff the next morning, went above and beyond with their hospitality and amazing customer service. The breakfast is amazing!! The hotel is lovely, we wished we had more time to enjoy all the amenities but we will be back again!!
- nadinepW8387JI (8/5): Great place to stay - Perfect location, staff friendly and helpful, very clean rooms, comfortable environment . Great for friend weekend, couples retreat, very family friendly as well.
- B8067EJeileenc (8/5): Excellent Stay!! - We have been staying at the hotel for several decades for an annual trip in Maine. Overall, it is a great place to stay! The facility was refreshed-the coffee nook was neat and clean. Room air conditioning worked better this year than past years. Hallways were well lit however it gave a fluorescent vibe. Left a cold feeling, with no warmth and coziness the Fall season offers. AC/heat units on the stairs should be hung higher to prevent accidents such as hitting heads or other body parts on them.
- Susan (9/5): Good "get away"--might go back with family.. - Location was good--walk to "downtown" Ogunquit was @ 10mins outdoor pool was @ 80.! Brickyard Brewery was @ 300yds away--good service and food
- kathleenrD5074KM (10/5): Great stay!! - It’s a lovely hotel with an excellent staff. The breakfast was exceptional, the room was large and comfortable, and the grounds are beautifully maintained.
- O5501HAdavidf (6/5): No elevator or assistance with luggage to second floor, odor from heater; nice bed and pillows. - There was No elevator or assistance from staff with getting our luggage to the second floor. There was an overwhelming odor from heater caused us to turn the heater off, open windows and leave the room. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, which helped us get a great nights sleep!
- Leslie (6/5): - Centrally located Not as close to the beach as I’d hoped. No elevator.
- 423diannem (10/5): Lovely place to stay - We love the atmosphere at Gorges Grant. The lobby is warm and inviting, a place we enjoy sitting in and playing at the game tables. The free glass of champagne is a plus! We have stayed multiple times and will again!
- J4479GSmattb (10/5): I love this place come here every year! - I’ve been coming to this hotel every year on my solo hiking trips for years, and it’s become my sanctuary away from the chaos of Manhattan. The moment I arrive, it feels like coming home — the staff greet me like family, and the quiet, welcoming atmosphere instantly melts away the stress of city life.
After long days on the trails, I love returning to the cozy rooms, the beautiful view of the trees changing color and that sense of peace you can only find here. Every visit reminds me why I adore this place so much — it’s not just a hotel, it’s my yearly reset button. I can’t imagine my hikes without it.
- Jeannette (10/5): -
- RONALD (10/5): Exactly what I expected! - Nice and neat. Friendly staff and very clean. Nothing
- 410annetten (8/5): Beautiful location. Very lovely. - It is a beautiful place. Clean . The restaurant is lovely and good .
The only problem is there are no snacks available. The vending machine did not have great options and very small in size. There wasn’t a great choice in diet drinks.
- sbarry4980 (10/5): Lovely Accommodations in Ogunquit - We have been staying at Gorges Grant for 20 plus years and always have a pleasant experience there. Staff are very welcoming, attentive, and responsive to guests’ needs.
- B581YDchristinat (6/5): Average Stay - The over all stay was great. The room was clean & the service was wonderful. We have been coming to your hotel for several years, so you can imagine my surprise when your staff could not locate me in the system when I was booking my reservation. The hot tub was needing some attention with it not being very hot, lots of foam (meaning it needed more chemicals, & it was low on water. The vending machine was very empty which was a disappointment for my child.
- Jean-Pierre (10/5): Impeccable comme d'habitude! -
- Rnb120404 (10/5): Relaxing romantic stay 2025 - Wonderful clean relaxing stay will stay again the best coffee bed and pillows were very comfortable very clean and everyone so nice and I loved the salt scrub they gave you in your room
- Loren (8/5): -
- Patricia (10/5): It was a great getaway - It was good and convenient Wifi could have been better
- Michael (10/5): - .
- Hart (10/5): - Clear that ownership and management hires well and pays attention to details. Great service and great amenities. Easy walk to restaurants and shopping.
- Palejiya (8/5): -
- Rosen (9/5): - Friendly staff, good facilities, clean large room, a very good restaurant. Beds comfortable.
- Road44382601262 (10/5): Gorges Grant Never Disappoints - We enjoyed our stay at Gorges Grant.
The women at the front desk were friendly and welcoming.
The lobby area is nicely appointed and comfortable...a nice area to sit and read or chat.
The coffee available in the lobby and the afternoon champagne are nice touches.
We stayed in a premium room...spacious and comfortable.
We had breakfast at Raspberries...also enjoyable.
When visiting Ogunquit, we always stay at Gorges Grant...it never disappoints.
- KATHLEEN (9/5): Great stay near center of town with wonderful accomodations. - Staff was great, room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was great (although is a separate cost.) The hostess at the restaurant was especially friendly and professional.
- ekrafick (10/5): Always a great stay - Always a pleasure staying at The Grand. We’ve stayed several times and are never disappointed. The location is perfect for walking everywhere. Perkins Cove, The Marginal Way and Main Street all within walking distance. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are always spotless and love having a living room space for hanging out. Sink , fridge and microwave are also a plus. The porches are nice to hang out on and have some wine and cheese before dinner plans and the hot tub is a nice way to end a busy day. All in all we love staying here
- B3655IHterryg (10/5): Perfect stay - Excellent overall stay, rooms , restaurant, and a new bar area . Would highly recommend …good for kids , family and seniors
- Roni (9/5): -
- F9496TAlynnew (10/5): Delightful - It was absolutely delightful and immaculate. The staff was friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was welcoming. It also had plenty of parking, which is rare in Ogunquit and it is located on Route 1 and easy to find.
- Amy (6/5): - Staff at Check in was not very friendly. Another person who worked there and didn’t help us actually welcomed us rather than the person helping us. We just didn’t feel as if she was very welcoming when we checked in.
- Gary (10/5): -
- John (10/5): - The property is within easy walking distance of downtown Ogunquit. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast staff was outstanding, and breakfast was good and reasonably priced.
- louis (10/5): - The Nicest place to stay in all my years coming to Maine.
- jeanettedM5542NM (4/5): Don't care about keeping customers happy - BEWARE: Air conditioning did not work in our room. Was asked if we wanted to call a maintenance person... Um, yes, please?! Unable to fix. Given a loud fan to "bring in air from outside," except the window curtains couldn't be opened without flooding light from the parking lot. In the morning got woken up by a tour bus idling outside our window for an hour at 7am (wouldn't have been an issue except we needed to keep the window open for air). Room Temp = 77degrees. Mgmt response? $50 discount.
- gitelgirl (10/5): Plush, mid-priced + fun - Great Hotel, extra comfortable, great staff, delicious breakfast. (Not included, but worth it, and not expensive), 2 pools!! One indoor, with a beautiful high arched ceiling and one outdoor heated, really nice setting. Fun decor! Friendly staff.
- JanetandRon2014 (10/5): Back Again to Gorges Grant - We have been here 2 times before. We like it here, it is so comfortable, we like the location, it is far enough away from the craziness downtown, but not too far away. We like that we can eat breakfast without leaving the hotel. The food is delicious and the restaurant staff are great! Everyone we come in contact with is always so pleasant and helpful.
- Janet (10/5): - Clean room, maintained property, pool was very nice.
Older lady at the réception was abrupt and she kept saying shhh to the Young lady she was working with! Not professional at all.
- Carole (8/5): - Loved the hot tub and pool
- JPdesigner (10/5): Great experience at Gorges Grant Hotel. - We enjoyed two nights at Gorges Grant to celebrate my mom's 90th birthday. The location is convenient to many restaurants and activities. The hotel has a great breakfast/brunch restaurant, Raspberri's. The hotel has both an indoor pool and a hot tub, and an outdoor pool. The rooms were clean and comfortable.
- Brian (10/5): - One of the nicest rooms we've ever stayed in. 10/10
- Catherine (10/5): - The cleanliness of the room. The overall quiet and friendly attitude of the staff.
- 627mjr (10/5): Had a good stay. - Our stay was very good. The ADA compliant room was spacious, comfortable and safe. The breakfast choices in the restaurant were great.. staff were friendly and courteous. Handicap parking was adequate, though a couple more near the main entrance couldn’t hurt. The wheelchair/mobility challenged lift was definitely a necessity. Most of the chairs in the lobby are low-sitters making it difficult for those with mobility issues to use them. All in all the facility is well suited for the area. Would definitely return on a future visit.
- Emily (10/5): - Comfortable good sized room!
- 189bridgetn (8/5): Nice hotel- comfortable beds! - Nice hotel near the beach and restaurants. A bit of a walk to get to town. Room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. Pictures show chairs at the beach - but that was a 20 minute walk. (front desk advised us it was a 12 minute walk to the beach.)We walk fast! There are other hotels closer to town and the beach- this one was nice but pricey with a restaurant that only serves breakfast. And no elevator to the second floor- ok for us but not for everyone.
- Bonita (10/5): - The room was perfect, clean and bright. The hotel was perfectly located, walkable to restaurants and shops in town and to the beach. The front desk staff were ever so helpful with our questions( first time visitors to Ogunquit). The restaurant was delightful , staff here, too were great, as was the food. I would book here again if I were to visit again.
- Chandler (10/5): - Clean room great staff
