- Simone (10/5): - Hotel situato in posizione strategica per visitare Siracusa, pulito, stanze dotate di climatizzatore, tv e ogni comfort, compreso un terrazzino molto comodo. Gestori molto molto gentili e cordiali, sempre pronti a soddisfare ogni richiesta, hanno anche riassettato la stanza e cambiato gli asciugamani al mattino. È presente anche un ristorante interno per colazioni a 5€ e cene complete di carne a 18€ e di pesce a 22€. Super consigliato!!!!

- christine (10/5): - Fantastic!! We had such a wonderful time the two nights we stayed at Hotel Scala and wish we stayed longer! We arrived our first night very late and were ravenous from our travels that day, the staff offered us dinner right after we got settled in at the restaurant on the property. We got wine and the spaghetti vongole, which was delicious. The air conditioner kept the room nice and cold which was lovely to come back to at the end of the day. The two men who ran the place were extremely helpful in giving directions to the Main town Ortigia as well as helping us with anything we needed! Lovely place & lovely people! The only thing we wish was different was the location being closer to the main town, other than that it was great!

Für Pizzaesser und Nudelesser ist dieser Stadtteil von Syrakus ein Paradies für die anderen eine Zumutung. Praktisch keine normalen Gaststätten in der Nähe, nur in der Altstadt.

- kristinel973 (10/5): Super friendly staff - The hotel is a bit outside the city center, but with a car you can come there easily. We rented a car, but since we wanted to have a few drink in the evening we asked if there was some public transportation to the city center. Salvo, the super friendly reception man told us we wouldn’t have to wait for a bus and brought us to the city center himself! Thank you Salvo!! Also, in the morning we were way too late for breakfast but Mustafa, one of the staff members gave us a (big) breakfast with good Italian coffee and with a big smile on his face :) It was a nice, clean quiet and friendly stay, we would recommend it if you’re looking for something simple 😊

- L3K (8/5): A hotel with character - I liked this hotel, it had character. The staff were friendly and mostly spoke good English. It's quiet, the room was spacious, free parking outside, and it's only a short drive to the centre of Syracusa. It is excellent value for money. There was a good spread at breakfast, but like many of the breakfasts we had in Sicily, it was mostly cake and other sweet stuff, with a small amount of bread, cheese, ham, and boiled eggs. The only niggle was that the door to the balcony didn't secure properly, but we left the shutters down whenever we left the room.
- stephenmartin2018 (6/5): Satisfactory but no more. - We stayed one night as a group of four on a cycling tour of Sicily. Easy to access secure storage for the bikes. Close to the railway station. I had booked a room for 4 with two singles and a double bed. Seemed clean enough. Breakfast was typically Sicilian, coffee quite good. Not great value for money compared with other places we had stayed. Could not pay by card as the card reader didn't work properly.
- Mangomum2 (8/5): Kudos to the kitchen staff! - The hotel was a little tricky to find, as it's in a residential area a bit further out from the main tourist area. We wanted to walk a bit after driving - it's half a block off a busy street and all we could walk through was a grocery store and a little mall. The staff was super friendly and helpful, "five-star", kind of unexpected for a smaller modest family hotel! Also, it was a chilly, rainy night so we ate dinner in the dining room, and it was REALLY good. I had fresh fish and my friend had chicken. The portions were large and the flavor of both was terrific. Many of the guests, who seemed largely business travelers, were eating there also, and everyone seemed friendly and pleased. The breakfast was pretty typical of a continental hotel buffet. There is both surface and garage parking.
- RemiGagnadre (2/5): Deserted Hotel - Welcome to Shinning hotel... Seriously, the atmosphere is freaky. The decoration didn't change since 1983 like the receptionists. The room was dirty, the shower broken and A/C didn't worked... Just a pleasure. And of course the bed was terrible. I wouldn't share this address in a good way.
