- Tammy (4/5): Fun vibes but you're better off enjoying another resort - Absolutely loved the vibe of the resort because of the people that came to it the same weekend as us, we were a bachelorette group and there were 3 other bachelor groups and we all mingled and had fun. The foam party on Saturday was so fun and such a vibe and the employees were so fun and cool, they matched our vibes The resort looked very run down, the main pool area was literally falling apart with pieces of pool tile laying by the pool even, it certainly needs a revamp/upgrade. I booked 2 cabanas for $169 each which no big deal but they were advertised to come with a bottle of premium liquor each but when I went to check in for them the day of they mentioned the "premium bottle of liquor" was either rum or prosecco????? Who the hell thinks those two are premium? We were under the impression we would be able to choose the premium liquor of our choosing and I'm assuming this is how they get you to upgrade to the $239 pricing for the cabanas so you CAN choose the bottle you want. In the end he "worked a deal" with me and gave me one Don Julio Reposado tequila bottle in exchange for what would be the 2 rum bottles. I know it's an all inclusive but we wanted a private cabana for the group. The food was not all that even, they need an absolute refresh on the breakfast buffet and dinner options. Not to mention they somehow ran out of tequila, vodka and rum on the last night we were there!!!

- Safiya (2/5): Beautiful property, good staff..terrible food and entertainment - Staff is absolutely amazing. Compliments to Juan our Butler, and Nestor who were both very attentive. We had a waiter by the pool the entire stay that checked on us everyday and made sure we were good, he was amazing too. The hotel is also clean and the room was immaculate; except taking a shower flooded our bathroom the entire stay. Not much enjoyment but decent enough. The food was the worst part of the trip however. The buffet food , everything and everyday was horrible so we just stopped going and ate by the pool since the burgers at the grill were decent. The on site restaurants are also horrible; I ordered two different dishes at the Italian restaurant and had to send them back. The Indian restaurant will be your only luck as the food there isn’t bad at all. Also, no activities or anything interesting offered throughout the days.

- LaToya (8/5): - I loved the property. It was always clean and the room was perfect. Most pf the staff were great and accommodating. The buffett was predictable. The options were limited and did not change much from day to day. The beverages provided in the room mini bar were almost childish.

I had to switch rooms because I was placed in one that smelled like smoke, a broken phone, shower door, and fridge. Getting a reservation for the restaurants as impossible if you aren’t with someone who is diamond club. The buffet food was mediocre. The entertainment was stale and the pool dj was awful. The onsite vendors were super aggressive to make you buy stuff.

- Balig (7/5): It was ok, we didn't like the prices and some incident here and there, but overall was fine. - The receptionist were great, the food was fine, and the property itself is enjoyable. That it's an "All-Inclusive" hotel, but we were surprised that they charged us for using a beach bed in front of the pool. There was no sign and it costed 50 dollars which is not cheap. Also, the staff didn't tell us about the reservation for the dinners and we ended up everyday looking for a slot here and there and they barely served us.

Pedí una pizza en el restaurante italiano wuao que mala para ser un restaurante de temática no me gustó el hotel.

Todo queda relativamente cerca por lo que no habrá que hacer largas caminatas. El bufet es muy pequeño y limitado, básicamente te dejaban sin opciones para elegir que comer, siento que pudieran ponerle un poco más de énfasis a esa parte para que los huéspedes puedan tener más opciones y no tener que comer siempre lo mismo.

Las actividades no eran muy atractivas. Los deportes disponibles en el hotel solo eran 3 recomendaría agregar al menos una mesa de tenis.

Before we arrived I had emailed ahead & also thought I booked a room with 2 queen beds. Somehow they received a email requesting 1 king bed. My cousin & I traveled together so I definitely did book a room with 2 beds. Also I also I had asked in the same email in which I did received a response that we were both celebrating birthdays could they do anything special they did nothing. When i showed them the email with their responding email, they were nonchalant, but they did finally get us the 2 beds in a room on the 3rd floor & they do not have elevators, after more then an hour the first day. On Thursday it rained all day we asked for umbrellas because we were stuck in the spa area no one ever came to bring them, the lady in the spa reception area was rude. We asked for a towel to put over our heads, because that all we could get from the concierge in our building to get to the spa which the area floods around the resort, so if you are on the first floor you are guaranteed to get water coming in if it rains all day which it did on thursday. On Friday morning we woke up on the 3rd floor, to an ant infestation & when my cousin went to tell them about it, they were very nonchalant, we told several people that we needed to have our room sprayed, our clothes put in a hot dryer on high heat, the ants had gotten n2 the suitcases that were on the table. It got done hrs ltr.

There are a variety of food choices and I did like that they have an omelet station that would also cook over easy eggs if you liked. The variety of food was the same everyday.

- Tyler (6/5): - I’ll start with, you get what you pay for. Room is super outdated and has a smell (which is expected since it’s near water, however, SPRAY!). You definitely can tell they don’t have enough people working here because you saw the same people every single day working from morning to nigh (God bless them). Also, get someone to attend the pools with a pool rake, daily! So much nastiness in the pools for it to not be that many people on the property.

Servers were amazing and the foam party was so fun! 10/10 will go again

Now the resort itself I would not recommend. Nothing is opened as promised & they constantly run out of food. The room service served us fish sticks instead of chicken tenders because they ran out and did not even have the decency to ask if anyone was allergic. The food overall is 0/10 for this resort. Nothing is nearby & the beach is filled with seaweed.
Another thing, during the day there is nothing going on for resort. & the night life if not all that either.

I recently stayed at this resort and would rate it around a 3. While the property itself had potential, several aspects were disappointing. The entertainment was not enjoyable, and the food quality left a lot to be desired. My room had an unpleasant smell, and many of the common spaces lacked air conditioning, which made it uncomfortable at times.
On a positive note, Michael and Jose, the bartender, stood out with their excellent service, they were the highlight of my stay. Unfortunately, aside from their efforts, the overall experience did not meet my expectations.

The staff was very friendly and courteous. Kelvin was an awesome concierge who took great care of us. My room was cute but smelled of paint thinner during my stay. The issue was resolved but did not leave a great impression. The front desk never answered the phone and I had to make requests via the app. Housekeeping was wonderful. She left pretty towel art everyday with beautiful flowers. The bars by the pool closed very early for an adults only resort. The drinks at each bar were not consistent and I ended up wasting it because of the watery taste sometimes. The young lady at the Spice Bar made the best drinks with a beautiful smile each and every night. The excessive seaweed on the beach was never cleared so you could not enjoy walking on sand. I walked over to the resort next door so that I could walk on the beach because they cleared it every day for their guests.

E aí tem eventos de ginástica laboral na piscina, guerra de balões de água, festa da espuma, um excelente bar a disposição na piscina. O atendimento foi excelente sempre. O espaço da piscina é incrível, lindo, tudo muito limpo. O quarto é pequeno, a manutenção é a limpeza dos quartos poderia ser melhor. O resort fica numa região de praia distante demais de Bavaro e de Punta Cana em si, você vai ter que pagar um Uber e ubers lá não são baratos. A praia de Uvero Alto não tem aquela areia branquinha e bonita típica do Caribe … é escura e água também escura.

- Glorimar (7/5): Maravillosa - Me gusto el desayuno, las bebidas en especial la rica piña colada, el servicio a la habitación, la cortesía de todo el personal del hotel, la limpieza y la tranquilidad. Las dinámicas y actividades de la piscina son super entretenidas y divertidas. El Show Internacional nocturno fue excelente. Es un hotel bastante agradable para ir en pareja y disfrutar. El buffet del almuerzo y la cena, puede mejorar en cuanto a sabor. Además, tener disponible mas restaurantes para cenar los días de semana (Lunes a Viernes) y colocar estaciones de sombra en el área de la piscina (Hacia demasiado sol).
- Leydi (1/5): Muy Mal Servicio por parte de Francisco de Recepción - Muy mal servicio por parte de francisco de Recepcion, fuimos hasta alli por un tema de que tanto el dia 27/08/25 y el 28/08/25 el Snack Estuvo cerrado a las 16:00h pues el horario establecia que estaria abierto hasta las 17:00h y en ambos dias cerraron a las 16:00h, por lo que solicitamos al señor francisco un formulario para reportar la queja y este nos dijo que no nos iba a facilitar el formulario de quejas, porque nuestro Chek Out fue el 28/08/25 a las 12:20h, nos dijo que no teniamos derecho a hacer un reclamo porque nuestro hospedaje habia finalizado, aún cuando le explicamos que era para reportar el inconveniente de fecha 27/08/25 este se negó. - Verified traveler (2/5): I would not recommend you stay here! - Do not stay here! It does not represent the Marriott brand. They try to sell you timeshares. Someone is constantly stopping you to purchase something! And, if your purchase says you will get credits, it's a joke. I contacted them ahead of my arrival and at check in to get information on what the credits could be used for, they would not provide the information until the following day after I checked in, and it was a coupon book. After I was told I could use it, it wasn't accepted, but they gave it to me. The hotel is outdated. The only good and positive aspects of this resort are the spa, which costs an additional fee and is located towards the back of the property. I would not recommend this place to anyone. And, the Butler service is not what you expect either. You can contact the first desk to get the same service. Check-in was also problematic, so please have your documentation. And, yes, I voiced all my concerns and dput them in writing but nothing was done!

- BRIANNA (5/5): Could have been better - The property was beautiful! It even had a basketball court in the front of the property and a beach not to far from the pool as well. Also the staff was very pleasant. They have a steakhouse, an Indian and an Italian restaurant on campus as long with a buffet. The rooms were mildew smelling even my room that didn’t have a swim out. We switched rooms and had the same experience. There was not many food options in the buffet and food wasn’t good.p
- Karrenton Danielle (4/5): - While at the property, the fire alarm kept going off. A couple of times in the wee hours of the night and during the day. Once the staff know that you don't want to sit through a time share meeting, they start to treat you different and stop being helpful. Food was the same at the buffet daily. The thread wrist band they give you once you check in that is your room key started irritating my skin and they didn't have another option for a wrist band. I had to put the key piece around a necklace so I can still have access to my room.

- Lia Nyree (4/5): - I did not enjoy my stay at Royalton Chic Punta Cana and would not recommend it. Our room smelled like mold the entire trip, even after cleaning. We paid for the Diamond Club upgrade, but service was terrible—our “butler” never checked on us and the premium liquor was clearly watered down. Drinks and juices tasted fake. The food was the worst part: nothing was fresh, meals were always lukewarm, and my friend got food poisoning by day two. I lived off cheeseburgers because they were the only thing edible. The sushi restaurant was closed (probably for the best), the steakhouse served the cheapest cuts with no seasoning, and the Diamond Club beach grill was a shack with items never available. It’s advertised as variety, but you eat the same things daily.
The beach was unusable, completely covered in seaweed, and three of our five days were rainy and cloudy. Not their fault, but with no activities, the resort felt boring and trapped. The power went out in our room twice too. Overall, despite paying for Diamond Club, this felt like a complete scam. Dirty rooms, bad food, watered-down drinks, no beach, no service, and nothing to do made this the worst trip I’ve taken. I honestly could not wait to get back to the States—this was the first vacation where I wanted to go home before it was even over.

Use to club on site , close the bar in the lobby and let the guest go to that bar. Utilize the club on site for the guest. It was disappointed that the club wasn't used.
