Guest Reviews
- DESNEY (8/5): Very pleasant stay that met all expectations and needs for a visit to the Royal Papworth hospital. - Warm, clean comfortable accommodation. Excellent location for Addenbrooks hospital and close to Royal Papworth hospital. Bus stop very close by. Host very welcoming and friendly, was very informative about local amenities and public transport. Would definitely stay again. Noisy due to busy road. Noise from bathroom fans in other rooms. But this was outweighed by positive aspects of the stay.
- Karin (9/5): - We stayed 7 nights in the twin room and had a great stay. We were greeted by Anna, who couldn't have been more friendly and helpful.
We had everything we needed, the room was cozy and the beds were comfortable; the bathroom was a nice size. The room also had a smart TV which was nice.
There was also a dining room downstairs with a fridge and microwave, as well as plates etc. We made use of both during our stay, so this was really helpful.
Thanks so much for making our stay so memorable and enjoyable. The only drawback was that the room was in the front of the house and was quite noisy with the traffic.
But we could sleep with the windows shut and that really helped to dampen the noise.
Despite all of this, we would still like to come back again next year and book the same room!

- Sheiniz (8/5): Cozy place to stay for short period - Small but clean and cozy, the owner was very friendly. The coffee and kettle in the room was perfect. The noise from outside is audible in the room at night. No breakfast available (although you could bring food in and eat).
- charlotte (9/5): Great stay, everything I needed, would stay again - Very welcoming receptionist, free car parking, 10 minutes straight walk to Addenbrookes, had fridge and microwave in shared area if needed, everything I needed for my stay. A little noisier than hotel as smaller rooms/less soundproofing but everyone really considerate and benefits outweighed this for me. Thank you Nothing for me
- Charlie (8/5): -

- Dee (10/5): - Aylesbray Lodge is a comfortable 20 min walk to Addenbrookes hospital. The room was basic, but comfortable, plenty of room, cosy bed, lovely shower & quiet.
Anna is a lovely hostess, my bed was made up daily & condiments refreshed. Would thoroughly recommend. Only criticism was the cobwebs hanging above the bed & bathroom door, the wall needed going over with a duster.

- Rachael (8/5): Very good -
- Janette (8/5): Very clean and warm - It was very near Addenbrookes hospital No breakfast
- Anna (6/5): Nothing special but certainly nothing to complain about. You get what you pay for - I was a little apprehensive about staying here given the mixed reviews online however it was perfectly fine for the price payed. Nothing special but certainly nothing to complain about. While its not super central to city center it is a very good location if you have a hospital appointment (which i did) the area was pretty quiet as well and the room facilities were nice. Mattress was so solid it felt like i was sleeping on a wooden plank. If you are roomed downstairs then you can hear every single movement of the people upstairs the creaky floorboards and banging were unbearable at times. There should be an option for putting a do not disturb sign on the door if you do want your room cleaned. Do not like that i came back the room had been cleaned and all my things had been moved, would make me hesitant to leave anything valuable in there.

Had to wait a while to check in. I get not being a 24/7 check in but 30 min + /- seems a reasonable ask for reception staff.

The room was incredibly clean and tidy, shower not warm enough to use, but the Bathroom fantastically clean.
Facilities 100% Bed really hard, pillows very uncomfortable,, left us both with bad necks, but the owner, facilities, cleanliness made up for it.
- Forster (7/5): Lovely lady, nice room, bad hips and terrible coffee. - The proprietor Anna was lovely very helpful. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. The kettle in the room was badly lime scaled. It was so badly furred the coffee had the consistency of gravy 🤮 and unfortunately the bed was not suitable for larger people.
