Angela (6/5): - Starting with the positives: View was lovely, bed was comfortable, room was cute. Negatives: No coffee in rooms – and the coffee machine in hallway would not heat after 30 minutes. There was only one type of coffee offered, and no decaf. Room heat and air could not be adjusted. The hotel listed lake front but the beach access was closed. We were instructed to get ice from restaurant but were only given a half container of ice and no access to ice in the morning. Just an incredibly disappointing stay.

The television had multiple channels and was easy to work. My only problem was with the WiFi. If you will need it for work, you may have to travel to another spot. Other than that I had absolutely no complaints and I would definitely recommend a stay there. I plan to go back.

Jennifer (8/5): - The property is clean, beautifully located alongside Saratoga Lake. The room is very well cared for with themed decor and very clean and welcoming. There is no staff on site which makes it challenging to communicate issues/needs. There are only 3 parking spots reserved in close proximity to hotel, but 7 rooms. Parking lot indicates “NO overnight parking or towed at owners expense” which was upsetting and there was no staff to clarify. People in the bar said it was okay to park behind the building, which we did, however there is no lighting on an unpaved road with broken glass bottles, not ideal for walking in the dark.

Carol (10/5): Lovely Place to Stay - The whole experience at The Nest was amazing. The room and decor were beautifully done. We were there with there other couples and we all were exceptionally happy with our rooms. This is our second stay there and we will definitely come back again.

We didnt eat at the restaurant but hope to next time we are there. We had everything we needed for a great night stay. Lake front was beautiful in the morning. Loved, loved, loved it.
CAROL (6/5): - Interesting place. The room is decorated in a lovely fashion but it is literally the SMALLEST room I have stayed in. I have traveled extensively in Europe where rooms are very small but this is behind those. Also, there is no comfortable place to sit and relax. When you are in the room, your only options are to lay on the bed or sit in an antique hard chair. Finally, it would be great if you let people know that the majority of the rooms are up a windy, steep staircase.

Michael (8/5): - Bed was very comfortable and the room maintaned a good cool temp the whole tme we were there. Water pressure was a little low. There was a sign in the shower that said, 'let the hot water run for 5 minutes to get hot water. The water never got above luke-warm.

Rick (6/5): Disappointed - Very hot. Reached out to Nicole first day but no response. Keurig was filthy. Couldn’t get a cup without coffee grounds in it. Refrigerator was packed at all times so no room for our things. Bartender was very rude when we asked for ice & for our wine to be opened. Never a Nest parking place to be had for three days.
Kevin (10/5): - Nice view of lake, bar and restaurant downstairs but they close around 10. Clean but tiny room with no amenities like shampoo, etc. so make sure you bring your own! No elevator and we were on second floor. No biggie because we can carry luggage but for those who can't you will need a first floor room. Place was cute and very clean.

Jessica (8/5): Great location - I enjoyed the self-check in aspect. It was very easy. The room itself was very cute and clean. Only disappoints were that there wasn’t a thermostat in the room (we got a bit cold but couldn’t change that), and the wifi was too weak to reach our room (we connected in the hallway but lost it when we went into our room). But the price was right for its proximity to Saratoga Springs!

FYI The TV did not connect to server and help phone support did not pick up. It took some troubleshooting to discover that the on/off button is located on the panel mounted to the wall . Bathroom Mirror is mounted at belly height. ??

Douglas (10/5): - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Nest especially the location. Beautiful views on the shores of Saratoga Lake and loved the South Western decor of the room. Our room was right across the hallway from the restaurant where we had dinner both nights. Everything that we came there to do was just a few miles away, so the location was great too.

Nelson (8/5): A nice place for people who like live music - This was a nice place in a nice location with quirky parking. The price was right. But anyone staying here needs to know it is attached to a restaurant with live or recorded music until 9pm. If you’re out and about until that time, it’s worth it for the cost and convenience. But if you want to bed down before 9, bring your ear plugs.

Great restaurant first floor w beautiful view of water. Great service and food. Nice ice cream place next door. Highly recommend!

Jacqueline (8/5): - Pictures made this look a little more remote, but it's actually connected to a restaurant and next to a public beach and a busy road. Very clean room; also small. The Fish Creek room does not have a view of the water, but the road noise is not bad.

Robert (10/5): - It's a Nice place with a Restaurant/Bar that Hops at night and a Live Band at the Outside Bar a about a hundred feet away from the Inn. The lake is nice with a public Beach front that you can swim or lay out. Nice to the Beach is a ice cream place lots of flavors and a place you can rent small kayaks etc. It's a easy ride off I87 to the Nest and From the Nest it's a easy ride to Saratoga Springs Town and Horse Racing. We had a nice time, just beware Friday and Saturday day and night the place is Hoping and if you want sleep it's not going to happen until after 11 pm.

Philip (10/5): - Used The Nest on Saratoga Lake as our base of operations while attending the Saratoga Jazz Festival at SPAC. Stayed in the Owl's Den room, which is one flight up; not too many stairs for these seniors. Communication before we arrived was smooth, and the location is easy to find. Parking was right in front. Especially liked the no-contact registration; you just go to your (keypad locked) room! The view of the lake and surroundings is stunning! The room was cozy and the bed comfortable. Amenities included DirectTV, extra bedding in case it got cold, a few toiletries, snacks and bottled water. Towels were big and the enclosed shower stall was nice and hot. Outside the room were a microwave, Keurig coffee machine and pods, and small fridge. Very convenient! Also convenient was the attached restaurant, Dock Brown's. Service and food were great! Even got to sample an ale I had not heard of: Grateful Dead Juicy Pale Ale. And it was excellent.

Verified traveler (6/5): More like an absentee AirBnB than an "Inn" - Issue with room on arrival was handled graciously by proprietor. But general vibe is this is a side business of the restaurant and bar and not priority of the business owner and management. Lots of little issues that could have been handled better with consistent policies and checks by owner or manager.

My husband says this is THE MOST comfortable bed he has ever slept in at a hotel. That says a lot!!! Keep up the great work. The only 2 suggestions I have are: 1) co.mand strip hooks in the bathroom for towels 2) box of tissues Thank you again for letting us use your room. Fabulous and it's definitely on the list to return to.
Carolyn (10/5): Relaxing - I believe I was the only guest while I was there. Right now, Saratoga Lake is way off season. There were a few things that needed to be done. For example, there was no heat to the room. Once I let them know, there was plenty of heat. Everyone was very nice and friendly. I couldn't have asked for nicer staff.

Jere (10/5): Charming Nest On The Lake - Charming little hotel right on Saratoga Lake. Format is an old-style "tavern on the bottom, small rooms above" configuration. The room was snug and outfitted in a clean, updated Colonial fashion. Didn't give 5 stars for service, not because it was bad, but it was essentially self-check and stay. Lovely to wake up to the lake outside our window. A couple of caveats that might affect your choice. The rooms are small (at least ours was), so don't plan on spreading your stuff out. If you can't navigate stairs alone or with luggage, ask for a room downstairs. Our room was right over the restaurant/tavern, which stays fairly busy (and noisy) until about 10 PM. We weren't bothered by it, but you might want to check ahead if you turn in early. We'd stay there again without hesitation if our travels take us to that part of the country again.

Plenty of dining options within a ten minute drive, including the on-site waterfront restaurant (dinner). Check in was smooth, although DIY, with good communication via email providing access codes. Clean comfortable room. Free coffee and snack bars. Didn't need so many pillows which took up precious room to store travel bags. Enjoyed the stay otherwise,
Eugene (10/5): The nest - a place for birds of all feathers - The property was cozy and quaint - exactly what you would want with a romantic or relaxation gettaway from the big hotel chains. The restaurant had exceptional live music, interesting and friendly locals and great food and drink. The room was exceptionally well maintained and clean. Check in and out was easy. Have raved about it to our friends and we’ll stay again!
David (8/5): - Check-in was by far the easiest ever. You receive an email with an access code for the inn and another for your room. Very convenient. The room was on the small side but very clean and the price was right. You are right on Saratoga lake so the view is beautiful. The only slight negative was that our room was right across the hall from the bar/restaurant which had musician with a loud amp. He did stop at 9:00 so it wasn’t too bad. Restaurant food and service was very good.
