- Amanda (6/5): - Felt a little run down, room was clean and air conditioned, beds clean and comfortable, carpets were stained though. Staff was nice. Atmosphere outside was a little weird.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - We actually didn’t stay because we were too scared to go in. There were people living there it seems and felt like unsafe to go in. We tried to cancel and we couldn’t. So we had to book another hotel and lost our money.
- Jenny (8/5): - Good experience
- Riki (6/5): - Owner was helpful!
- akashdeep (10/5): - all good
- Iris (6/5): - Simple and clean. The property manager was amazing
- Orieta (6/5): - We were not pleased with the reception of the hotel that closes at 10 pm , we got a call at 10:10 pm from the "front desk" ,meanwhile we were eating diner at the restaurant ad we were told '" if you don't come by 10pm we leaving "" we left packed our diner in boxes we went to the hotel , and waited for over 10-15min for the receptionist to come out (he lived there) and got our room (3) not friendly at all very indifferent and rude
- Carolyn (8/5): - This was a simple stay after skiing that didn't cost a fortune! Comfy bed, nice shower, larger mini fridge than most hotel rooms and friendly check in. Will return
- Marcos (2/5): - DONT STAY
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Was offered a choice of rooms - front or back. Chose the latter. Facility surprisingly quiet at night given location close to highway
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Sorry. Had to cancel my stay at Pleasant Manor because it was located too far from where I was visiting. Maybe next time I’m in the area.
- Varinder (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent location, very well kept, (sam bhaji) great host, next time definitely, we will stay here again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I love motels. These guys have been putting work in renovations to the rooms here and it's great.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - it's good for the amount we paid.
I would have bee happy if we had a coffee machine in our room and coffee in the morning.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good to stay. Have smell in room.
Office person Sam very cooperative and helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Decent place to stay and minutes from the beach. Would recommend.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room did not share ventilation with other rooms, which during COVID times was a very big plus.
It’s an older motel; the room was clean and bathroom & fixtures were updated fairly recently. The bed was comfy but the pillows need replacing. A bar fridge was included and worked very well.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly people and good place to stay, would go back for sure if im in the city
- Karen (8/5): Great Average Motel - Other than a TV that did not work, we had to call the desk and a man came and fixed the connection... Also the room was comfortable, bed was comfortable, room was very warm. AC did not work.
- Northern_lite_Deb (2/5): Unpleasant after all - I have stayed at this motel a few times and this time was unfortunately the last.
When flicking a light on during the night to use the facilities there was a cockroach on the table near the fridge. It skittered away, as did I the next morning.
Uggggh, I used to like it here and thought it was clean.
Nope.
- Gally (10/5): - It is very good that i have not seen before. You guys should go there to get a good price
- 805katet (2/5): Terrible experience - We booked by phone and were given a rate for this location. Upon arrival we were told our room was at a different motel, The Collingwood Motel. Owner owns both locations. It was disgusting, holes in the ceiling, open wires in the wall, mattress on 2nd bed wasn't a mattress, it was 2 ft short of a real mattress, not sure what it was. We returned to the office and owner was hostile, extremely rude and refused to give us our money back saying we used the room. He yelled at my 11 year old son and told us to get out. Then he called the cops on us!!! We couldn't believe it. Our little family is pretty chill and doesn't need anything fancy and we haven't had a weekend off together since March. We were just looking for a weekend away with our son. Do not stay here. Do not stay at the Collingwood Motel either unless you are looking to get ripped off.
- Miriam (10/5): Excellent! - It was pretty good. Friendly staff that helped me with directions to the motel when I called. We had a two bedroom. There is cable TV, WiFi, modern updated bathroom, place to hang you clothes, mini fridge microwave, good amount of plugs and a playground for kids out front.
- Noelia (10/5): - the place is very clean and comfortable it has a beautiful garden to do bbq, the office staff very nice
- France (8/5): - Thank you everything was good !
We loved your area ......
- Jashan (2/5): - My friends was bitten by bugs only one light was working in room and AC is not working at all.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - I and my family very happy, we were in shocked that our room has refrigerator and microwave
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean, hospitable. Great place to stay. Thank you.
- Linda (6/5): - Ordinaire à tout point de vue .
- Skier (2/5): - This property has BED BUGS I didn't even stay at the hotel for 8 hours I was sleeping and around 130am I felt itchy I woke up and turned on the lights in room and I had welts on my back and stomach a I woke my friend up and she had bites on her face we left all of our things and at 145am we left the motel and drove back home in snow squalls the own of the hotel was very ride and said that he has his rooms checked and that there wasn't any bugs but I have pictures and the bites to prove it this motel.owner will not refund my money DON'T STAY HERE will be making a compliant to public health
- Verified traveler (8/5): - room was clean and peaceful location also handy to get to various locations around the town of Collingwood.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was the first time staying overnight at a motel becasue nowhere else was available on the long weekend. I think it was overall pretty good for the price I paid. The bathroom floor was not clean but I had my slippers and water was not going down the sink, looked like it was clogged but again for a budget motel was not bad at all.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The customer service is horrible. Man at the front desk was extremely rude and in accommodating. The rooms are horrible. Like there are much better motels for cheaper if not the same price. The bed felt like concrete, chairs were ripped, AC didn’t work, window didn’t have a screen, lock was useless. Did not feel safe or comfortable there
- Jan (2/5): - Ready for demolition. Cold no night tables.
Dirty bed covers. Old dirty pillows.bed frame done of 2 x 8. Dodge standing on small skid and dirty. Some local alcoholics next door.
Smell of cigarets
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Property is nice and clean.Enough parking spot.washroom and service were good.Rooms are bit smaller in size but has all the necessary amenities inside.Good location as lake is just behind this motel.Dowtown is also just 5 mins away by drive.Owner and operator Rani helped us to guide about the place for blue mountain village.Very nice service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly check in, quite area clean rooms. Close to the Blue Mountains
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and near to Collingwood/Blue Mountains.
- Lynn (2/5): Worst stay ever. - Terrible stay. Bad bedding. No way to control room temperature. Room so hot I had to sleep with window open in 20 degree weather. No water in shower this morning. Office was closed when I checked out at 8AM, so I could not even complain. With window open all night, the traffic noise was awful. Worse stay ever. Do not stay here!
- Verified traveler (2/5): - smell in room nd not heat nd cleannness services in room
- Disappointed (6/5): - We didn't appreciate that a guest was smoking pot as we were bring our things in from the car. When we were checking in, we noticed guests were sitting outside drinking alcohol in the parking lot.
The room was cold with no working baseboards heater. When we went to the office, the check-in person was quick to get us a portable heater and informed us that the room would be restored with heat as soon as the owner returned. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The room itself seemed to be under renovations and many things had not been completed, e.g. walls needed painting, open electrical panel without cover, exposed recepticles without cover plates, and no heat in the room when we checked in.
- Thomas (8/5): - A small coffee machine in the room would be a nice addition.
- ML (8/5): - This place is ok if you're staying for 1 or 2 nights. Not ideal for a romantic getaway. I would say if you're staying up in Collingwood for work or just a pit stop for your next destination.
- Bean (6/5): - Basic dated motel . Met my need for a place to sleep
- Jag (10/5): - Great stay.. Convenient and accommodating. Close to Wasaga Beach and Collingwood/Blue Mountain.
- Alfredo (6/5): - Very basic, good for one night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The grounds are very beautifully maintained yet, the room needed some work and the cleanliness of the bathroom was disappointing...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This is a family run hotel and as a woman traveling alone, I felt very safe. The room was very clean (smelled nice) and all appliances (mini fridge and microwave were spotless and functional). The owners were pleasant and cordial and the location was convenient to my stay in Collingwood. I look forward to my next visit.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The room was small and gungy feeling ..... like late 50's motel. There were no amenities anywhere close. Cold reception.
- O.V. (10/5): - Second time staying at pleasant manor. Excellent polite staff, great location between Wasaga Beach and Collingwood/Blue Mountain, and exactly what we need. Clean rooms, updated washrooms and play area for kids. BBQ and picnic area also available. Will come again.
- Dez (10/5): A trip to Collingwood - An excellent choice if you are on a budget.
- Me (4/5): - Heat didn't work. Had to have a space heater. Wifi failed to work most of the time. Washroom was in overall good condition. But everything else in the room looked 30 years old. Even the bedding looked mostly worn out. King size bed slept OK. There was a small flat screen TV. Lighting was poor. I didn't stay the second night though paid for it.
To be fair, I paid $150 for two nights, tax included. Whether or not it was reasonable, one must decide for oneself.
- bob (10/5): - Owner/manager greeted us with open arms mentioned numerous times how happy she was with us chosing their motel and welcomed us kindly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A good sized room. No ice maker or vending machine.
- Stephen (6/5): - An older motel, but perfect for a one night stay. Clean, newly renovated bathroom. Very quiet for that time of year. Was bitterly cold so the heat struggled a bit. But overall for a one night stay passing through it was fine.
- Lisa (2/5): Bed Bugs! Lots of Bites - We stayed in room 8. My daughter got 147 bed bug bites (yes, she counted them!) sleeping in the bed closest to the bathroom. I had 6 bites, sleeping closest to her in the other bed. We'd stayed one night, skied the next day and drove back home. There was no other travel or place we could've gotten the bites.
The manager (Nick) agreed to inspect the room and said he'd get the carpet and mattress cleaned. Professional extermination is probably needed in this case.
- L1492XQdaves (2/5): Bed Bugs - Lots of Bites! - We stayed one night in room 8 on Feb 15. The Good: the bathroom was remodeled. The Bad: The day after we’d stayed there my daughter woke up with 147 (yes- she counted them!) bed bug bites on her arms, legs, torso, lower back, neck, and face. She was in the bed closest to the bathroom. My wife was in the other bed and had 6 bites. Our stay in room 8 is the only possible cause – we drove straight from home to the motel, skied the next day, and then drove straight back home. We haven’t traveled anywhere else and don’t have bed bugs at our house.
I spoke with the manager, Nick. He said they could test the mattress, but if it came back negative they would charge me $300 for testing. I declined that! Basically we agreed that he doesn’t trust me as telling the truth, and I don’t trust him to test properly or provide the right mattress if I hired my own tester (it isn’t in Nick’s best interest to have a positive test come back!). I suggested they should take the very basic step of thoroughly inspecting the room! He then agreed to do that and said he’d have the carpets cleaned and mattress cleaned as well. Hopefully he’ll follow-through and that will take care of it. There was no offer to reimburse me if he did find bed bugs.
- Paul (8/5): - It was exactly as I expected. It was sparse clean and dated. Staff (owners?) are very nice people.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It’s exactly what you should expect for the rate that is charged. Nothing fancy. Basic clean room. Owner seemed nice.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Can’t control heat, windows facing road could be more sound proof
- Austin (10/5): Good sleep - Everything we needed good place to spend the night
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Stayed for only one night after getting back from a long night of snowboarding at the mountain I tried to have a shower and the water was not working, when I woke up it was freezing cold in the room as the whole night the heater did not work and it was -14 outside so it felt like that in the room as well. the water did not work in the room at all either, sink, shower toilet nothing. I told the front desk owner and he said I was lieing and that he's owned the place for 20 years or something and that's never happened. Then he says no to giving me any money back at all. Then halfway home he calls me and says I was right and if I stay there again he will give me $20 off. WHAT A JOKE I WAS FREEZING AND COULDNT BRISH MY TEETH OR SHOWER. worst place I've ever stayed
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Other than two small thin bars of soap in the washroom/shower there were none of the usual bathroom amenities. The room had the usual fridge, microwave and a good TV but no coffee machine.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Not far from Blue Mountains village. Stay was pleasant.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Ģood. Hot0el is good
You have everything for comfort night.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Close to any entertaining spots
Good location
Not to bad place
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It was clean but quirky. If you just want a bed for the night it does the trick.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was friendly, Wifi worked, parking available, Accurate Pricing, Neighbouring room tenants were friendly, respectful, and not noisy. Room was clean
- deannad889 (6/5): Good for a night. - We stayed here for 1 night following a show in the town of Collingwood. We checked in before hand and it was super easy. This is not a fancy motel, but i was nervous having read previous reviews, but we were very pleased. Our room was clean, and aired out. There was 2 double beds, a small microwave and mini fridge/freezer; no coffee maker or kettle. If you bring instant, bring a mug. The room is painted white so it is fairly bright for the size, big newer windows, door could be replaced. The bed was comfy and we slept well. The hotel in a little bit out of town so you will need to drive wherever you need to go. I would recommend for a night or two. Not fancy but a good little motel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Seen bugs in room, sink was not working.
Door lock was faulty
- Zara (10/5): - Simple quiet comfort. Very pleasant staff, kind and nice. Simple and reliable for the cost. Clean and comfortable. Will be staying again.
- ELIZABETH (6/5): HARD BED - Every thing was really good, but the bed was so Hard we could not sleep very well.
- Asaja (6/5): - Overall motel not bad all ok. Close to all attraction
- Jason (4/5): Not that pleasant - Room looked ok at first inspection but once we started to settle in the room lock was clearly nothing that would prevent someone from cooking in the room, the beds were very uncomfortable and the shower didn't have a shower curtain. This room is good enough if you something quick but otherwise you would be better off 5qking the time to find something better.
- George (8/5): clean & comfortable - It was a clean recently renovated room it had a fridge a microwave and even the bed was comfortable Sam and his wife made us feel welcome. I would stay there again being from Niagara Falls and having worked in the industry it was nice to see a place this nice...
- Verified traveler (8/5): - clean and off the main drag. very quiet. I enjoyed my sleep
- jessicarabbit1990 (6/5): LAST MINUTE BOOKING - We stayed here while in town for a wedding and were able to get the hotel the DAY OFF which was great and it was affordable! The staff was very polite and let us check in early and check out late for no extra cost. Our room was clean and air con worked great. Very vintage style motel but working microwave and fridge, plus bbq on property, hot water and bathroom was renovated nicely. It was perfect for the amount of time we actually spent in there.
- Jenn (6/5): - Needs coffee in the rooms for mornings. Very friendly staff.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The staff was lovely! But the rooms are extremely small and less than basic. A worker walked in, to our great surprise, while we were in the room. Our room had walls that were patched and needed to be painted. The one chair in the room was badly ripped. For over $100 a night, I cannot recommend this motel. I understand they are in the midst of upgrading (which is great!), but guests should not be given rooms that are under construction, and certainly not at the regular rate (which is much, much too high for what the place offers). We stayed against our better judgment, as the charge had already gone through.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cute and Clean - We booked last minute and they were able to accommodate us which was great and they had ac in the room, a fridge and a microwave plus the bathroom was clean and very well done. Would consider staying here. They have a bbq on site as well as a picnic area.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Last room near a room that was under construction noisey early in the morning. Trying to check out and kept waiting a long time then had to go find the clerk.
- Jane (8/5): - Convenient location. Nice staff. Quiet. Nice play area for children
- LuisB (8/5): - This place is good for the price, and is close to the beach.
- Sue (4/5): - This accommodation was the only one available in Collingwood during the Elvis festival. It was overly priced for the features offered. The toilet seat was almost falling off and the bedding was very worn and the spread looked soiled. Did the job but again was highly over-priced. The lady was very friendly but the man was all business.
