Guest Reviews
- ZINI (8/5): - Borgo incantevole.
- Nicola (10/5): Ottima Esperienza. - Hotel in posizione ottima e personale gentilissimo.
- Nick (10/5): - A real taste of italy ,great value for money in the most beautifull surroundings 10/10
- Angelo (10/5): Posizione spettacolare - Struttura davvero suggestiva.
Bellissima posizione e personale gentilissimo.
- S7994KUmatthewd (10/5): Phanomenol - Truely warm and accommodating hotel and town. Arrived quite late but not a problem, had dinner in the restaurant which was divine. A lovely man turned on the fountain in the town center especially for us, which was very kind.
Would highly recommend a picturesque view, insanely good quality of sleep, delicious food, great customer service and a warm and welcoming environment!
- Christine (10/5): Wedding in Carpegna - We were in town for a wedding. Excellent service & accommodations!
- 268mh (2/5): A long trip for nothing - We booked this venue to celebrate a 70th birthday and an anniversary based on the good reviews, location and facilities, 6 months before. We received confirmation and on the due date arrived at 5pm to discover the place shuttered, locked and barred. A paper note attached to the doorway said they were closed from the 5th to the 8th of September for the holidays, we were booked in for 2 double rooms on the 6th. Despite having given both email, Cell numbers and telephone nothing had been sent or received regarding this annual closure. Located well above any Cell phone system masts we were unable to get a signal to call for help and had to endure the twisting single track road down the mountain and eventually had to go on to Perugia to locate food and bathroom facilities and as OAP's these are essential prerequisites.
Despite contacting all concerned we have yet to get an explanation or apology and suggest you do not pay in advance.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfetto - Albergo, personale, cibo e contesto fantastici! Torneremo sicuramente.
- Patrizia (10/5): Lovely Place!!! - We were traveling through Italy and wanted to visit San Marino. We arrived later than the checkin. Because we called earlier it was no problem. The staff was great! Very welcoming and helpful. The village is simply beautiful! It is a very relaxing and friendly place. The room was clean and welcoming. The bed was extremly comfortable. It was an amazing experience and at very low costs
We loved it!!!
- COMBI (10/5): ottimo - posto meraviglioso, personale gentile e cortese, pulizia in tutto ben curato....veramente ottimo...da ritornare
- Alexandra-Costea (10/5): PERFECT - The hotel is amazing! I was feeling really good, the people are really kind and nice.
i would like to go again, maybe next year..
really different from all the other hotels. Very Intimate and gives u this feeling...like u live in other century.
- Pipushka (10/5): Very cosy and beautiful place to spend vacation. - I spend in this hotel for four days and three nights. It was amazing time there.
The rooms are beautiful, but a little bit old-looking and cozy also. The owners of Rocca dei la Maladesta were very nice and kind family, who helped us as always we need something. The hotel is on the top of the hill and so the view from window was wonderful.
I and my family recommend this hotel warmly.
- Mihail_LA (10/5): Very cosy and friendly hotel! - Stayed at Rocca Dei Malatesta one week in July. Very nice place to stay if you are going to visit old cities and castles of this region. Very good combination of price and quality. The location is wonderfull (small old town on the rock with panoramic view). Rooms are clean and cosy, but need some small improvements. Breakfast is a bit poor, but as I understood this is typical for Italy. But all the small minuses are compensated by extraordinary attention of hotel owners Alessandro and Baiba, who are very attentive and friendly! On the first day of your stay you will feel like at home! There is always prompt reaction on your every question and it is always positive! There is about one hour to drive to Pesaro, where is very nice beach.
P.S. Car is a must if you stay at this hotel, because public transportation almost does not exist.
- lykkehans (8/5): Good restaurant in Frontino (with WiFi!) - We stayed in Frontino for 1 week enjoying the beautiful landscape end the very pitoresque old medevial small town of Frontino. We had dinner at the good restaurants in the area. Two times we went to the Risorante La Rocca Dei Malatesta. The food was good and the personel very friendly and serviceminded.
They also offer free WiFi!
We definately come back...
- RenataAndGedas (10/5): Fantastic stay - Just warm and cosy memories about stay in this hotel. Peacful place, great food, relaxing atmosphere, very helpful and smiley owners. Great place for visiting San Marino, Florence, |Rimini etc.
Highly recommend! Greetings to Baiba from Lithuania!
- emma1913 (10/5): Beautiful - This family run restaurant/hotel in beautiful Frontino feels like home. The owner/manager was quite warm and helpful. The room just felt like a good place to be. Frontino feels like a good place to be. The staff at the restaurant was friendly, the food good, and at the end of our meal, the chef came out and had drinks with us. I hope to get back to Frontino--soon.
- Gulbite (8/5): Beautiful - Very beautiful place and the nearest area. Courteous, helpful staff and good food.
this hotel is for those who loves beauty, romantic and peace. We stayed at this hotel for three nights but saw a lot of beautiful and historical places in the vicinity of the Frontino - Urbania, Perugia, Florence. Thanks for this possibility.
- enoash85 (6/5): bed like a rocca - We wanted to see San Marino and do some shopping and we stumbled across this hotel on booking.com as it was a hot deal. We got the accomodation for €25 so there's not too much I can complain about!!
The town was absolutely beautiful and the hotel was relatively easy to find with a GPS, the Italian road surfaces are another discussion altogether. The town was very quaint but unfortunately from around 6 or 7 in the morning(Saturday) the church bells (two sets) started ringing every half hour!! As we had a long late dinner the night before at a lovely local restaurant called Particolori Nostrani (highly recommended) we weren't really keen to jump out of bed quite so early.
The other negative was the bed, it was two singles pushed together, though this seems to be relatively common in Europe, as hard as a ROCCA and squeaky so that everytime you roll over the other person wakes up. It was also quite noisy as we heard a baby crying in one of the other rooms in the middle of the night.
The man running the place was very nice and friendly and it was clean with spacious rooms. The last downfall was that there was no hot water late in the evening or at 10am in the morning!!
For €25 I would stay again but not for any more.
