- Mary Theresa (6/5): Fine for an overnight stay - I was just spending one night passing through. There was supposedly a bar/restaurant on site open all day, but it was only open until 3pm. That was one of the main reasons I chose it. It is nice to be able to stay on the property and have a drink or bite to eat... the hotel is pretty and the rooms are large. The woman who checked me in was rude. She gave me a room facing onto a very very busy street, when 80% of the hotel was empty. So I had the outrageously loud sound of traffic and trucks roaring by for a good part of the night. That is my only complaint, rude lady and loud room...

- David (10/5): - Precio y comodidad
- Jose (10/5): - It’s on the main drag, you get all the noise from the traffic.
- Brent (7/5): Good - Close to Hwy 15. Price. Rooms were pretty bare-no coffee maker, unpleasant receptionist. Rooms noisy. We booked this place because it has an on-site restaurant. What they failed to mention is that it is only open for breakfast and lunch.

- Medina (6/5): Pleasant -
- Fausto (2/5): Deep clean needed. - Our 3rd stop in Los Mochis while on a road trip. Our first stay here. Unfortunately it was very disappointing. The rooms are just not clean, because we stayed in two rooms I feel we can make a fair judgment that the hotel needs a deep clean top to bottom. Our first room had bed bugs so we were able to move. The bathrooms have mildew/mold that need attention. The hotel advertises a restaurant that upon check-in at 3 was closed and the rooms have menus to order room service which obviously isn’t available when the restaurant is closed. The staff is friendly which is the only bright spot here. My advise would be to stay elsewhere until the hotel comes up to standard for guest stays. Not safe or healthy for anyone.
- Deanna (3/5): Poor - Kitchen suite no cups no pots rooms are very old and dated served purpose one night stop
- Kate (8/5): - We had a pleasant stay as we passed through town. The hotel is outdated (toilet and stove didn’t work well) but safe and adequate for the price.
- Flor (8/5): - Its a nice hotel just wish their restaurant hours were more flexible since now they close at 3pm we were not able to order or eat there. Since we arrived at 330pm..
- Abraham E. Cervantes (8/5): - agradable y espacioso
- George (7/5): Good -
- Mcroberts (1/5): awful. freezing. no help from staff. no extra blankets. no hot water. - easy location near food no heater, freezing at night, no extra blankets, blankets were paper thin, water did not get warm even.
- Felipe (8/5): Very good -
- Mike (8/5): Very good -
- Salvador (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edgar (8/5): - Its an older property buts its staff and cleanliness its great. Room at the front of the property are loud due to the avenue but still a good property to stay at for the price.
- Rafael (1/5): Bad -
- jack (4/5): - busy street
- Jose (10/5): - Nice place to stay short term
- Bradley (10/5): - Felt very safe here , staff was helpful and friendly. Nice little court yard to sit outside and have a glass of wine 😊
- avii_fc (4/5): Cleaning required - I’m all about cleaning, and finding a ball of hair in the sink’s drain plus shaved hair on the shower wall isn’t something I like at all. Makes you wonder what else didn’t they pay attention to while “cleaning”. Also, not enough towels for a family of four (only 2).
- Verified traveler (10/5): - My room was very spacious and clean. Staff was kind
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful. While the restaurant was small, the food was excellent and the staff was great.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It’s a nice place to stop to stop and rest at. it’s close everything shopping and good eats. Very clean and cozy
- Eric (8/5): - Close to the highway. restaurant at the location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient location for travellers. Pleasant, helpful staff. Safe, enclosed parking area. The restaurant is pricey, but good, The public area is clean and comfortable. This was our second stay at Hotel Las Fuentes and for the price, the property is hard to beat,
- Renee (10/5): - They have made some upgrades to their rooms and they are really nice for the price. This is the 2nd time there this year and we will be back.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great Value - Great location, comfy rooms and great value for the price.
- nomadsince94 (8/5): Gorgeous hotel - Like all of this chain no info in the rooms. But this is a singularly gorgeous property. Bird watching tour is totally worth it but pack bug spray. Front desk isn't easy to deal with but this true of most of this chain sling the copper canyon. Zorro show is fun (different El Zorro but they have capitalized on the Hollywood fictional version). Love the hummingbird feeders.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good Price - Staff was very friendly and helpful. We speak little Spanish, but they went out of their way to help us as we Spanglished. I highly suggest paying the extra $1 or $2 and have breakfast included. They have a great menu. We also had lunch there and the tacos dorado were amazing good and a huge plate of food. Our only criticism is the lack of hot water. We rarely had any. Other than that, we would stay there again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great staff (waiter with an excellent attitude). Great location.
- DRHudson (8/5): Basic. Cheap. Perfect. - I really loved staying at this place. The only drawback worth mentioning is that the reception staff was frankly mediocre and not particularly Customer Service saavy. They were still nice though and got it done, but noticeable that they didn't really go out of their way for the customer. That said, everything else about the hotel is awesome. On the flip, the parking attendants / security guys (2 total) were super nice and we chatted it up for hours.
So First and foremost, I am travelling through Mexico with my dog (Aussie Shepard Mix), so finding dog-friendly hotels has been tricky (expectedly). Las Fuentes accepts dogs at no additional rate (score!) and it's already a very economical hotel. Also there was a lot of space to walk the dog around; just beware if you are travelling with a dog that the strays will flock to you (and your dog) out of curiosity should you stray yourself from the hotel.
Funny story - so I had made a telephone reservation with Las Fuentes in the morning which BTW did not require a credit card (another score!). my cell phone fell into water on the way to this place somewhere while crossing through CD. Obregon, and except for the Hotel Name and City, I had no other information or idea where this place was. Incredibly, I found it with zero problems by just wondering into Los Mochis and there it was on the side of the road just waiting for me. So yes, it is conveniently located if you are travelling by car.
It's not uncommon in low-mid range mexican hotels that the mattresses are crap and are hard as a rock, and that is very much the case at this hotel. You have been warned.
So the two points against this place is the mediocre reception and the crap matresses.
Wi-Fi is available and doesn't even require a password, but I think it's from the stone age (1 MB yikes)
I also tried some breakfast at the restaurant and I will say that the food hugely surpassed my expectations, well worth a try. If you are travelling through Los mochis and need a good, economical hotel, you cannot go wrong here.
- David (10/5): - I love their large rooms with 3 beds for our family.
- Becky (6/5): Easy to find and easy access back to hieay - When we arrived there was no fridge, pots or pans or plates. About an hour after we checked in they finally brought the rest of the kitchen. No coffee maker but it was very clean and had secured parking
- Josh (8/5): Pleasant pet-friendly hotel with good parking. - We picked this hotel for its pet-friendly policy and good parking for our motorcycle. We were very pleased with the size, comfort and cleanliness of the room and had an enjoyable dinner in the hotel restaurant. The neighborhood is not very touristy, but we had a great time walking around and there were several other options for dining within easy walking distance. The staff was very friendly and put up well with my lack of Spanish (meaning they happily spoke slowly to me and didn't laugh too much at my poorly constructed sentences and questions).
We would definitely consider staying here again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Will not stay there again - Staff was rude and room dirty. Bed was hard to sleep on.
- debcarson (6/5): Decent hotel. - We stayed in Las Fuentes Dec 2, 2016. Overall the place was fine with clean, decent size rooms. The hotel has good security for your car & they accept pets. I had forgotten advice of another reviewer & didn't ask for a room in the back. The noise from the traffic was VERY loud. So if you want a good nights sleep ask for a room in the back. We will stay again on our way home but will ask for a quieter room.
- andreabrysn (6/5): Convient Location off Highway 15 - Stayed for our winter vacation in both directions since we drove, which made for easy access off the highway. Clean mid range rooms, nothing fancy. Good internet connection and TV. The restaurant had good tortilla soup& food at reasonable prices. Parking is gated which made for a secure feeling and travelling w/ a small dog gave easy access to the outside w/ rooms on the first floor.
- Verified traveler (6/5): adequate facility - The price is good, the rooms were pretty basic with hard mattresses. Outside the room the hotel is pleasing, good restaurant, secure parking. The staff was cooperative.
- JESSICA (8/5): Awesome Family Trip - This hotel stay was because it was the last stop of the train El Chepe. Nice, decent hotel, our room had 3 beds.
- Jose (10/5): Nice Economical and Rustic Hotel - This is a nice and clean economical hotel to stay at. It has its basics and with a restaurante that is better than the bigger hotels I have stayed at in Los Mochis. Its rustic so dont look for modern furniture. Also ask for a room in the back of the hotel as the front ones are right to the street and the city buses start early morning and have there stop right in front of the hotel. But other than that all is good for the price of the hotel.
- mrrealestatebucerias (6/5): Decent digs for the price - Easy in and easy out makes this clean budget hotel a worthwhile stop for an overnight on your way south or as a base to visit the copper canyon. Can easily be reached from the border before nightfall. The rooms are basic but clean and have TV's and good wifi. There is a restaurant on site and I believe breakfast is offered though we get up too early for it and get on our way.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Record breaking hard beds - Hardest bed we have ever slept in! Also the worst hamburger. The meat was some concoction of filler, definitely not meat. Also a bit noisy until 2:30 am. The hotel was clean and very friendly, but our backs still hurt.
- edog1955 (10/5): Excellent Value, Great Restaurant - We flew into Los Mochis the night before we boarded the Copper Canyon Train [El Chepe]. Based on the reviews on Trip Advisor, this seemed like a good place to stay. Thumbs up! The hotel was a bit of a taxi ride from the airport [@ 240 pesos as I recall] but a welcome spot to spend the night. Not fancy, but clean, comfortable and very reasonable.
We dined in the attached restaurant and were please with the food and service, but the tortilla soup was the BEST I've ever tasted! I was savoring each spoonful, attempting to identify the individual flavors that all combined to make one of those dishes that transcends "food" and becomes an "experience".
I loved the way the hotel was decorated--colorful, cheery and a nice welcome back to Mexico.
The front desk was friendly and arranged a taxi ride to the train station in the morning. BTW--be sure and check the train before you go. Every other day is first class only, and the cost is significantly more than the 2nd class ticket.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do yourself a favor and never stay here! - I would rate this hotel as very poor. It's old and seedy, and the rooms smell moldy. The furniture and even the door is old and shoddy. The place is quite a depressing place to stay. There is not even free coffee. They charged us $5 just for coffee. Do yourself a favor and never stay there.
- CA (8/5): Pleasant, affordable, overall solid - Stayed in hotel for over one week on multiple occasions. Staff is friendly, price is right, hotel food is great and comfort is there. Hotel has traditional Mexican feel and charm. If you know that the means than this hotel is for you.
- Jose (10/5): Nice Rustic and Clean Hotel - I have stayed at a couple hotels in los Mochis and this one is on my top now. The price to start off is great and the room I got was nice and clean (smelled too) and the beds are average with rustic decor all around. The restaurant was good as well and can have room service if wanted. They have their own special patroled parking lot which is also a plus. Really recommend this place or family and single travelors.
- joseadolfo74 (8/5): Nice Rustic Hotel - I have stayed at a couple hotels in Mochis and this is a very nice rustic hotel with very good prices. The rooms are super clean and can smell the cleaness. The beds are good and a working A/C which is a much needed in Mochis. The restaurant is great as well. They have private parking and a night guard so no worries. I really recommend this hotel and will stay here from now on.
- annieheater (10/5): Good value for the price and pet friendly - We have stayed here many times and have always had good experience. The rooms are clean, they have internet, and a good restaurant. There is also secure parking. They seem to be fixing it up a bit,,,it is not a new hotel.
- mrrealestatebucerias (8/5): Great value, clean secure and allows pets - Nice hotel with good prices and allows our dogs Thats all that matters to us...place was clean with cable TV, staff were nice and helpfull. We will definitely stay here again.
- cliffinmaz (8/5): Good Hotel at a Moderate Price - The Hotel Las Fuentes is convienently located on one of the principle boulevards of the city of Los Mochis. The hotel is clean and well maintained and the staff was courteous and friendly. The rooms are ample and comfortable although it is recommended that the rooms in the front (street side) of the building be avoided if at all possible due to noise. Price was acceptable for the quality delivered,. ($500 pesos per night for two people) The hotel has an in-house resaurant where we were able to purchase a very good breakfast for a reasonable price. I would stay here again if in the area.
- ERW2 (8/5): Convenient - Convenient location, right across the street from a bus stop for the bus to El Fuerte.
We stayed here both before, and after our trip into Copper Canyon.
If you don't want to get up at 6:00 in the morning to catch the train to Copper Canyon from Los Mochis you can take the bus to El Fuerte later in the day, spend the next night in El Fuerte and catch the train just outside of El Fuerte the following day, some 2 1/2 hours later.
The bus basically follows the train route, so you don't miss much scenery.
The hotel is reasonably priced. It has a good restaurant, that can accommodate vegan meals, and is opened for extended hours. The restaurant seems to be popular with local people as well.
There is a computer in the lobby with internet access, a very convenient advantage.
Buses into downtown also run regularly directly in front of the hotel.
The hotel will also arrange taxi service to the airport at a reasonable price.
The hotel is nothing fancy but it is clean and comfortable.
- geisa (8/5): Small but nice! - This hotel was small but very nice. The room was clean and appropriate for an overnight stay on our way to our final destination.
