• Kai (8/5): Comfortable hotel in great location - I stayed at this hotel twice. First time was last time. The front desk staff is very friendly. The room was very comfortable and clean. Hotel is situated in an ideal location, only a couple of minutes of Gambetta station. Next door there’s a very nice Brasserie that’s serves food, coffee and alcohol drinks. There’s many food options near by. The price was relatively affordable for the center of Paris. I recommend this hotel.

Impossible d ouvrir car la terrasse d un bar très fréquenté, genere un brouhaha très gênant. Surtout pour une chambre au premier côté rue.... a eviter

The hotel is in a good location for walking to restaurants, shops and other special places, and also for transportation to other parts of Paris. The staff was friendly and helpful. My sons and I came to Paris to visit their uncles primarily and were happy to find this hotel within walking distance of their place.

In comparison to other Paris hotels I have stayed in, the room was larger than normal as was the bathroom! My teenage son, my husband and I stayed together quite comfortably!

Zimmer hatte bei Wärme und Hitze eigentlich keine Aufenthaltsqualität. Durch die Straße etwas laut. Aber wenn nur zum schlafen die Unterkunft genutzt wird für akzeptablen Preis zu empfehlen. Bistro unterhalb des Hotels sehr zu empfehlen
• Sourya (10/5): Sans hésiter. - Le monsieur de l'accueil était très gentil et serviable. Je ne me souviens pas de son nom mais c'est un petit jeune. Il nous a très bien accueilli avec mes enfants. Disponible a chaque fois que nous avions besoin de quelque chose. Quand au quartier c'est vraiment top il y a absolument tout a côté.
• Elizabeth (6/5): Okay for one night. - The location was great and although the space in the room was small it was clean and had everything we needed (except perhaps a safe for valuables? The problem was it was just so noisy it was almost impossible to sleep. The bar/restaurant below our window was lovely until the small hours and even when that had closed I was kept awake by doors opening and closing outside my room and the sound of feet moving up and down the wooden-floored corridor. It was quite hot in the room too and there is no fan or a/c so you had to choose between more noise or more heat. This hotel would definitely benefit from soft closed doors and carpeted corridor and fans in the rooms. It cost nearly £200 for one night. I don't think it was worth it, but I guess these are Paris prices in Olympic season.

Albergo aperto h24, senza ascensore, scale strette a chiocciola, mini reception, no deposito bagagli, non esiste una sala colazione. Attualmente in corso di ristrutturazione quindi con difficoltà di movimento, rumore, operai al lavoro, fumo di sigaretta. Non c'è riscaldamento ma solo stufa elettrica, acqua calda in bagno ok ma senza box doccia (solo tenda). Cambio asciugamani quotidiano ma pulizie sommarie, polvere da cantiere e poca attenzione ai particolari nella stanza (prese elettriche non tutte funzionanti), tv con pochi canali sintonizzati. • Myriam (10/5): - Geräumiges, helles Zimmer an top Lage mit freundlichen Mitarbeitern. Nur fehlte uns ein Wasserkocher und ein kleiner Kühlschrank, was noch praktisch wäre.
• Alain (4/5): Trouvez un autre hôtel ! - Cet hôtel n'en vaut vraiment pas la peine malgré son prix. La propreté est insuffisante, avec de la moisissure dans la douche et sur le pommeau, et le lavabo était petit et difficile à utiliser. Le confort était déficient, avec beaucoup de bruit provenant de la rue jusqu'à 1h du matin en raison des cafés, et des bruits à l'intérieur de l'hôtel qui ont rendu mon sommeil difficile. Les chaînes de TV étaient réglées n'importe comment. Seuls points positifs : La chambre était propre en général, de taille raisonnable, avec un lit ferme paré de draps blancs, et sans punaises de lit, et un chauffage individuel.

Saleté dans les communs, la chambre n'était vraiment pas propre, des miettes sur le sol, les miroirs plein de traces, et? par dessus tout, une odeur nauséabonde entre l’encens et le tabac froid qui m'a causé une migraine et des hauts le cœur toute la nuit ! Point positif pour la literie confortable, il n'y avait que ça de bien.

• peeter (8/5): Actually satsified - Even my points are pretty low, the whole experience wqs pretty okay. Stepping into the hotel was a bit warning-small reception booth, a bit worn out interior, not very happy welcoming. Also the stairs were challenging. But the room itself and even the bathroom was very okay for such money. I happened to settle in the room which was toward the yard, so it was so quite at nighttime, even there was busy street. I picked the place because specific location, so actually I was pretty satisfied. No breakfast option available! Parking nearby is almost impossible, but there can be a spot in parallel street. And it is expensive!

Au programme : tâches sur les murs, chasse d'eau des WC non fonctionnelle, porte du bac de douche qui ne ferme pas et cafard qui traverse la chambre. J'ai passé qu'une seule nuit et j'ai réservé ailleurs pour le reste de mon séjour. D'ailleurs je suis encore en attente du remboursement de la nuit non consommée.

Concernant la chambre, mauvaises fixations de la tablette du lavabo ainsi que de la lunette des toilettes. Fenêtre non nettoyée, mégots sur le zinc extérieur. Housse de couette manquante.L' accueil pourrait être amélioré. Coin cuisine : à quoi sert-il ? Cordialement.

Seul la chambre mériterait un peu plus de propreté (dépoussierage des murs, et encadrements de fenêtres à nettoyer). Tout à fait convenable pour une ou deux nuits, et difficile de faire mieux du point de vue tarif (réservation tardive).

Chambre propre , confortable, silencieuse qui nous a permis de récupérer avant de poursuivre notre voyage. Un bémol pas de frigo disponible à l hotel pour conserver notre picnic au frais.

I took pictures around the room. not a good. no lift and the room was on the third floor. bad experience for me and for my guests.

• Fethi (4/5): Bad Check Out Experience at Hipotel Paris Gambetta - I have stayed at the Hipotel Paris Gambetta Republic on 236 Rue des Pyrénées on many occasions as I used to live in this part of Paris. The man and woman at Reception who normally work at the front desk during the day are very nice and have been very helpful on my many stays there. I would normally rate this hotel a 3 as it is in a good location and is a good value. However on my last visit on 28 and 29 December 2018 I had a terrible experience when I checked out at 12:00 on Sunday 30 December. I asked the younger man who was working at Reception if I could leave my small carry on luggage there for a couple of hours and he very rudely and abruptly said no, even though I have done this on a number of occasions in the past. So, I had to carry this around Paris for several hours. In addition, I was rudely told that checkout was 11 am even though their website on Hotels.com clearly says 12:00 noon. This individual who appears not to be a people person should in my opinion be given some basic training in courtesy and customer service by the Management of this Hotel and apparently he should also be given training on the Hotel’s check out policy. Very disappointing as I have been a frequent guest at this hotel and as I have stayed there on many occasions in the past which is why I am only giving it a rating of 2 on this occasion.

• Hear (6/5): - The location is good, about 3 blocks ftom gambeta metro station, 15 mns to most tourist places. Many good restaursnts and bars in the area, grocery stores. On the 1st floor of hotel there is a restaursnt bar w a lot of party at night so expect big noise, althoug did not bother us. The hotel is small and not appealing to the eye, but the room and bathroom was clean. Small rooms. We had no wifi and the remote control never worked, requested one but they did not replaced it, we stayed 3 days without either one. The night staff was not friendly at all, during the day was a wonderfull man from senegal at the front desk very friendly and courtegious. The place is ok for a night to sleep.
• Ken (2/5): ABSOLUTELY NOT. - I picked this hotel as one of the few options close to a concert venue in a section of Paris that I’m not familiar with. I checked in shortly before the concert started. I went back after the concert, took a shower and checked out. I could not stay overnight. The accommodations are simply unacceptable. The place is filth and rundown. I chose to call an Uber and leave instead of staying the night. The beds are single, the bathroom is beyond tiny and reeks of neglect. Don’t walk on the floor with bare feet. This hotel is surprisingly listed as an option on hotels.com as should be removed. The front desk is staffed by a sleeping teenager who was aggravated to bise woken up at midnight to give a key back. Concert was great. Hotel was anything but.
