Weren't offered two sets of keys as we had myself and another couple, so it made it hard to split the keys, so had to work out our, timing so we had someone to let us into the apartment.

• RItaZ (4/5): - The apartment is comfortable and spacious enough. Air conditioning did not work. The air conditioner did not work - was set on a timer and could not get it to work in the afternoon. Communication from hotel is non existent.

• Jane (6/5): Location was good, better customer service is required. - It was very handy to the wharf and the pub where we ate most nights It was extremely difficult to reach the staff during our stay. The instructions indicated that we were required to park our vehicle in the designated underground car park rather than in the visitors’ parking bays. However, due to the size of our truck, this was not feasible. We attempted to contact reception to inform them of the situation, but unfortunately our phone calls and messages were not returned. Additionally, there was a strong and unpleasant odor in the apartment. To make the space comfortable, we had to purchase air fresheners to mask the smell.

• Piotr (1/5): False advertising - Nothing We paid for 3 beds, which is what was advertised. Only got two beds. Staff refused to take any ownership of their advertising mistake, instead of blaming booking.com instead. Refusing to provide a refund. Reprehensible.
• Harry (9/5): - The view from the room was spectacular. It was centrally located. The rooms were a bit old particularly in the bathrooms and they needed a little attention. The aircon was very complicated and not working. We had to phone for someone to come and sort it out. It took over an hour for them to arrive.

Toilet constantly leaked, bedroom door didn’t close/lock, air cond remote missing, lounge was terrible with awful cover which didn’t fit. Room was very “tired” Needs maintenance & new lounge.

• Chamberlain (10/5): Gladstone stay - Great location. Excellent parking facilities. Easy access. Clean and tidy. Well set up. Having a washing machine was gold. We were under the understanding that reception was open till 6pm. We made a considerable effort to be in Gladstone before 6pm. Arriving at 5.45pm. We had to access the after hours key lock. I am grateful to the gentleman who was outside there building who assisted us. When we accessed the after hours key lock, and envelope with our name on it was in the safe. We took it out and followed the instructions to parking and building entity. All was well. Up stairs we realised that our envelope had another guests booking details, their name and their contact phone number. We then realised that our information may well have been given to the other client. Unfortunately there was no-one to report this to. We are concerned about this serious breach of privacy. Would like to see that there is a checking process to prevent this happening again. Having said that, we would certainly stay again.

• Roland (5/5): All I can say is fhat it’s functional and handy. No staff at hand to fix problems - Location I specifically asked for firm pillows when booking and got confirmation that they would be supplied. They were not supplied. No staff available.
• Donald (5/5): Good place in central Gladstone, if you have humans on reception when you arrive. - Comfortable room with good facilities. Getting into the place was very difficult, including the garage. Why do motels these days not have humans on reception, especially during daylight hours?

• Danny (1/5): We were in Gladstone for a funeral and this major issue after a long drive from Brisbane was very stressful - It was worn and tired but comfortable and clean bedding. The very small old TV, no streaming services, no in-house information advising about the places to eat etc nearby. The worst issue however was we were unable to access our apartment. The code provided to access the key box did not work. The phone number pinned on the door did not answer. We called about 10 times and sent numerous messages without response. Workers who were coming and going tried to help us and advised that it happens all the time. They said guests are often unable to access the key box or raise management. We were stuck outside for probably 2 hrs before a Good Samaritan not associated with the apartments but knew the manager and eventually was able to get a key to unlock the key box and give us our key.

But i cant say the same for this one. Cleaners had missed some rubbish, found someone's under wear in the dryer, shower head in the on suite bathroom did not work well at all.

• Hannah (1/5): - The property overbooked and when I arrived to check in they told me they didn’t have my booking - even though I had my booking confirmation two weeks prior to our stay. The staff were very unhelpful and I have not received a refund for this stay that I didn’t even get to check in for. They gave me a number to call a separate property manager because they were adamant my booking wasn’t with them. The phone number wasn’t real and led to another call. In total I spent almost 2 hours on the phone trying to check in and find why they didn’t have a record of my booking. I offered to email them my confirmation so they could see what I received to make sure it was the correct property, dates etc. No help at all. I had to book different accommodation at a premium cost. Booking.com staff member tried to help but was very condescending and unclear about how I would receive a discount. I did not receive any discount on the price difference for the second accommodation booked.

• David (4/5): Stay away, there are better options around. - Location was great The queen beds were very old, too firm, noisy and not comfortable. The apartment was very obviously lacking any real maintenance:- All split system air conditioners air filters were so dirty they didn't work properly. The shower glass and framing was very mouldy and corroded. The mixer taps were loose and bent. The toilet flush button and brush were corroded. Almost all exterior lights at the entrance to the apartments were faulty making it difficult to find the lock box during the after-hours check in.

• Russell (2/5): Would never stay there again nor recommend it. For the money charged, to say it is overpriced is an understatement. Seen - Location was okay The furniture was disgusting. Couch covered with a shabby blanket. This was to cover up the tears and worn leather all over the couch. The single chair was well worn to say the least with rips and tears. The lamp beside the bed was originally made of rice paper I think. It was all torn and on a lean so hard to tell what it was like when new, many years ago. The coffee table was one year away from being a vintage. Reception closed at 12.30 (weekdays) so couldn’t rate the staff. The unit had a smell all of its own and overlooked a car park. We didn’t stay. Went straight back down to the lobby, put keys in drop box and went to other accommodation. Same price but first class couldn’t be faulted.

Good location with Reef Hotel next door, cafes and the waterfront area just a short walk away. While reception is only open for very short hours keys were left in an easy to find safe.

• Ann (9/5): Awesome place to stay, will stay again if we have family with us. - Property is located in an excellent position. Kitchen is modern and two balcony’s with separate entrances is great. Two bathrooms great as well. In my room (25) one of the toilets was running through, ie. It wouldn’t flush as it was draining out as fast as it was filling. Small issue, I know - there were two toilets, however I had to wait until my daughter had finished showering before I could use the loo. No staff around makes it a bit difficult to convey any issues in a meaningful and timely way.
