Guest Reviews
- Abiola (8/5): - Great stay
- Rohan (10/5): - only downside was the bed in the front room
- Sheree (10/5): - Very gracious host everything was exactly as stated nice clean will definitely stay again 😊
- Joyce (10/5): A Taste of Paradise…indeed! - I enjoyed my 3 week stay at A Taste of Paradise, while here on business. It was a quiet, clean and safe place to rest after a long day’s work. The family that owns it were very friendly and helpful with all my questions about the home and local area. Beautiful beaches are all around but suggest you have a rental car. Amazing restaurants are all around too without having to venture into downtown Nassau. Some of my favorite restaurants were Bahamia, Kyma Seafood Grill, Southwest Diner and Bar and Cafe Channing Noelle & Patisserie!!!
I also enjoyed having a secure gate with a friendly staff to welcome you and announce any guests. I felt very welcomed and safe everywhere I went while here. Be sure to catch the weekly Junkanoo parade at the Atlantis Marina Village to get a glimpse of this energetic, cultural celebration!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Real property description - What was advertised was not completely true. None of the ceiling fans worked. We were only allowed to have the air conditioners running from a set time frame, which made the upstairs get hot quickly. You couldn’t leave phone or iPad chargers plugged in. The stove was completely unplugged. The beds were rock hard and actually made my back hurt. The property was very nice but all the rules to keep the owners electric bill low was ridiculous. I’m sorry but in my opinion, if your renting your property to people on vacation they shouldn’t have to worry about how long the air conditioning units are running and be uncomfortable.
- Tal (6/5): - Pros - low cost option on a generally expensive island, proximity to Stuart cove’s diving shop. Good 24/7 security gate, and strong AC units.
Cons - we weren’t able to check in until 5pm, I tried to call Steve multiple times and he didn’t answer until the fourth or fifth time I called. We went to a restaurant to eat and kill time until he answered the phone. Also there is a general lack of amenities- no body soap or shampoo, there was no laundry detergent, the water pressure in the shower is very weak. The wifi also went in and out. And the roads surrounding the house were flooded.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A taste of paradise is a great place if you’re looking for close proximity to the airport and connecting flights. Everything was as pictured and Steve was incredibly helpful.
- Susan (4/5): - This is not a hotel. It's attached to a private home where they monitor your every move. Very creepy and would not recommend. Communication was poor and distance is too far from public attractions.
- Dave (8/5): Over all I feel this place was well worth it - Ok - Overall this place was nice and alot of bang for the buck. A few things could REALLY use improving on. The MAIN one is coming and going thru the security gate. Its VERY annoying to have to explain " I am renting unit #38 " constantly. Then you have to wait while the figure it out. a window sticker or something may alleviate this ? Also - the signs/notes all over the place are a bit ridiculous. "misuse of towels resulting in a fee" I dont even know what that means. Washing my car with them? Also the working regarding the air conditioning is a bit harsh. Maybe reword is to something like " in efforts to keep operating cost low and pass the savings onto out guests, please keep the AC off while not using the unit" . Over all I feel this place was well worth the money but a few minor tweaks may push it to the 5-star experience with a 3 Star price. I like that the door gets programmed to by the last 4 numbers of my phone number. Makes it easy to remember.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - I needed a hotel room for two nights to attend a medical appointment. This is a townhouse vacation property in a gated community. still far from developed and not even suitable for that. Grossly overpriced with extra charges hidden in the fine print. Not recommended.
- Mary (10/5): Beautiful Condo in nice area of Coral Harbour - This is a superb condo with a terrific kitchen, granite counters, huge refrigerator, everything needed for meal prep and all dishes, silverware, etc provided. Full size washer and dryer, powder room downstairs, two bedrooms and a nice bath upstairs. Lots of closet and drawer space. Very clean and nicely decorated. Owners are very nice and helpful. We will stay again next time we are in Coral Harbour.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great value - We were staying in Nassau for one night before flying to an out-island the next morning. We needed a place to stay that was reasonably priced and convenient to the airport; this fit the bill. Steve and Yolanda were very easy to work with, responsive to questions and greeted us warmly upon arrival. I'd stay at there place again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Vacation home - Lovely townhouse duplex. Comfortable, clean, great hosts.
- Jan (10/5): Very pleasant host and hostess - My spouse and I had our travel plans altered by the airlines forcing us to spend a night in Nassau. We had a very early check in the next morning so we decided to stay close to the airport. This location was 4 miles away. It is a house all to yourself with an open concept plan and 2 bedrooms up the stairs to the 2nd floor. One and a half bathrooms to share. It is all very new and very clean.
- Linda (6/5): Nice house, but not a hotel. Far from tourist area - The house (not hotel) is nice, well kept and updated. Wifi hardly worked during our stay. Also, the outlets in the rooms did not work so we had to charge our phones and electronics downstairs. The stairs are awkwardly curved. One of our guests fell and split his knee. Be very careful when going up and down the stairs. But more importantly, this house is far away from all of the tourist areas and we had to pay taxis every time we wanted to get out. Keep in mind that we were only there 2 days and spend well over $300 in taxi fares!! Some taxis didn't even know where the location of the house was. Would not recommend unfortunately; too many cons that outweigh the niceness and cleanliness of the house.
- Carlotta (8/5): Excellent hosts! - Mr. Jones was very prompt in meeting us. He also helped us arrange a taxi ride to the airport the next day and told us about area attractions. He made us feel very welcome and the house is absolutely beautiful.
- Timber (8/5): Extra fees but still good - I wish the price was more up front about the addition fees for cleaning etc. There was an extra 100 in fee which was in the ‘small print’. However if you were staying for a couple of days it would be well worth it. The place was clean and the people hosts were nice.
- cheryl (2/5): Buyer Beware
- I am not sure who is at fault Expedia or the owner of the property for the misleading information on the Expedia site.
My daughter and I had to stay overnight in Nassau one night. We wanted to stay by the airport as we had a flight the next morning.
The taxi ride form the airport to this property is only 6 minutes or so. The cost of the taxi ride was 30 us dollars.
I realize this is not expedias or the property owners fault.
We arrive with no one to greet us. Again not sure whose fault this was.
The cost advertised on Expedia was 176.00 Canadian dollars for one night. I thought for Nassau this was a good rate and since we didn't want to pay much as we were only needing a place overnight until we reached our final destination. I had read the reviews on this place with no one complaining about the issue I ended up having.
Once the owner arrived he bought in an invoice that had different prices that advertised on expedia. These included a cleaning fee of 60 dollars US dollars a utility fee of 20 us dollars and a service charge of 20.25 us dollars.
Leaving the remaining cost at 235.25 US dollars.
- Les (4/5): "Top Hotel" mislabeled, is actually a townhouse - This is a nice looking place. You need a car or good walking shoes.
This is not a hotel, it is a townhouse. Townhouses have advantages for many people in many ways if you need an apartment, but if you want a hotel ... this is a townhouse.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Full kitchen, two bedrooms, great place! - Quiet and fairly close to the beach - about a 10-15 minute walk. Wish we had more time to stay!
- Max (10/5): Nice house in Coral Harbor - Perfect house for a relaxed vacation (in gate community, very safe).
It is far from the downtown area, so you need a car, or a taxi every time you need to move.
A mini market and a sport bar are very close.
Private beach 15 minutes away on foot (unfortunately with a lot of seaweed, but that's the ocean...)
Yolanda and Steve leave next door and they are available for any question and help. Very nice people.
