• I1133RFmk (10/5): Nice hotel - We spent there 5 nights and we can definitely recommend it. You get all that you need: clean rooms, comfortable beds, very good breakfast (bread, eggs, cheese, ham, sausages, yogurt, croissants, jams, cakes). ​And you also get a delicious coffee, specifically cappuccino. Thank you to the nice gentleman for remembering that we drink cappuccino every morning. The reception staff is also very kind and friendly. ​I truly do not understand negative comments. Rooms are cleaned every day, towels are changed, the beds are comfortable, and the design is also interesting. The only thing to mention is the bathroom is small, so for bigger people it might be a problem to move around :) ​The hotel is located in a fantastic spot, close to everything! Lots of restaurants, bars, shops around. Definitely we can recommend it.

• Javier (2/5): - Creo que el título sería la casa del terror, las habitaciones no se parecen en nada a las fotos, tenía zancudos y moscas, el baño no entraban dos personas y lo peor de todo el aire acondicionado solo funcionaba de 2:30 pm a 9 am y era tan pobre que creo que con ese aire no apagabas ni un fósforo , en conclusión el peor hotel de mi vida, según ellos 3 estrellas y excelentes comentarios, realmente no se porque este hotel sigue en la plataforma de información, para mí una estafa

• HyunJoon (2/5): 최악의 지옥을 경험하다. - 첫날 체크인 데스크에 두남자의 상태를 보고 호텔상태를 읽을수 있었다. 화장실은 비행기 기내처럼 좁고 수압은 낮고 창문으로는 창고물건이 보관되어 있어 열수 없었고 고객 VOC는 완전히 무시되었습니다. 수십년간의 가족여행 경험자로서 최악의 지옥을 경험 하였습니다. 하우스키핑도 2일마다 하는 호텔은 처음입니다. 근데 도시세는 3성급호텔에 6유로를 받습니다. 피렌체시 행정은 제대로 작동하고 있는지 의문입니다.
• 140lesleyp (4/5): Small - The rooms have been painted garish colors since the professional posted photos were taken. I was here with a large travel group and the staff was friendly and accommodating. However; my room was cramped and somewhat dirty- the shower was TINY, looks as if it was added as an afterthought and way smaller than the typical small Italian showers I’ve experienced. Although my ground floor room did not, many of my fellow travelers’ rooms upstairs had a strong and off putting smell- maybe mildew or mold? The lack of an elevator, paired with steep stair, was a pain as well.
• Shania (2/5): Average 3/10 . - Unfortunately would not stay here again nor recommend, although the staff were lovely. Our room had no hot water for shower … one small drop of mild water was all that would come out. Bed was 2 single beds pushed together , that did not stay together & made for an uncomfortable sleep. Location & staff were great. Just the amenities in room that were well below average.
• ysiNovi_Mi (2/5): This place will rip you off - I made a reservation online with the hotel. They send me a confirmation that did not contain any details. My mistake for not requesting the details. When we arrived late in the evening, they charged me about 40% more than I signed for online; moreover, they told me that I booked for 1 person, though we were two people. Despite the fact that the room has three beds, they charged me additionally 20euro per night for the second person. The room is extremely small, and has only a very small desk. We kept our stuff on the third bed. The sing in a bathroom does not have any countertop, so we had to keep all our toiletries in the room. The shower is so small, that I was not able to get in (I'm size 42). The breakfast was reasonably good, but once they run out of something (like scrambled eggs), they will not bring more.

Walls are paper thin you can hear every conversation in the room next door . Shower head did not work . No phone in a room to call reception . Lots of stairs ( like a maze ). No extra blankets .AC took about 6 hours to cool the room .
• shiminy2015 (4/5): Maybe I’m unlucky - We have requested for ground floor room and they agreed, but when we checked in we we were given a room on the second floor; there was no lift inside this hotel and I was with an elder. And I just realised that they have given us a single room when we booked for a double room; the room photos we saw then were not not close to the room in reality. The toilet is small, we can’t even turn when showering, and it was giving out a pungent smell all the time. City tax, we were overcharged and they did not give us a receipt. The only plus point is that the location was good and the staff were friendly. But it was not worth the money we spent.

• lucymayhooker (4/5): Good Location - So let’s start with the positives the mattress is nice and so are the pillows, and the hotel location is great 10 minutes from the cathedral. We had a room in the loft it was very hot the aircon didn’t work for a few days and we had two tiny windows. The hotel is across the street from a very noise youth looking place and the showers are cold and have no pressure but this might be because of our loft room. The breakfast is terrible I really wouldn’t waste your time but the coffee is good 👍. I wouldn’t come back to this hotel but the staff are nice, I just think a youth hostel would be better and cheaper than £300 per night.

• Michael (4/5): Decent Location-below average amenities/condition - Stayed for three nights. First morning went to breakfast but nearly everything was all gone so we went and bought breakfast somewhere else. Tried again day two and breakfast was just grocery store items removed from containers and placed in hotel containers. Skipped it third day and went to a bar for breakfast. We had no working Wi-Fi the entire stay, had a couch in center of room that felt wet and was incredibly old and worn that I didn’t want to sit on it. Showered in day one and the 18x18 inch shower clogged up in two mins and took five mins to drain. Had a two min shower and didn’t shower again. Brought issue up and it was not fixed our remaining two days. Had four persons staying there so expected actual amenities in bathroom. We bought our own toilet paper bc provided toilet paper was tougher than recycled napkins at McDonald’s and only shampoo provided were tiny salad dressing styled plastic bags that were very faded indicating they had been in the dish for a long time. Paying 165$ a night should get you proper containers of shampoo conditioner and body wash in my opinion, proper toilet paper and furniture in main room under 35 years old. I have traveled all over Europe and know that many hotels are not five star American standard but this was not what I was lead to believe it would be by the hotels.com reviews. Bed was comfortable enough and check in went quickly.
• JEnnifer (2/5): - We ended up leaving and not staying.The pictures do not match what this hotel is. It had a a horrible smell. The furniture was old and dirty. The bathroom was a closet with mold.

• Patrizia (6/5): Sin un buen y lindo baño, lo demás queda de menos - Un lugar central, busca una linda decoración acorde con la época de un edificio antiguo. El servicio y amabilidad excelente, dieron la posibilidad de dejar nuestro equipaje guardado después del check out lo que es muy útil. De lo a considerar , al ser edificio antiguo no es apto para tercera edad, escalera empinada y alta, tampoco para equipaje muy pesado o muchos. El aire acondicionado no dio abasto para el calor. El desayuno no era tan buena calidad considerando que en Italia la pastelería y el café son excelentes. Y definitivamente lo negativo fue el baño: recipiente ducha roto y desnivelado, tapado el desague, limpieza muy regular, habían hongos. Las perchas para toallas algunas caídas, el secador de pelo se cayó de un tornillo flojo, no hay una repisa donde colocar algo, mal pintado. Mucho por mejorar en el baño,
• Emmanuelle (8/5): Rapport qualité-prix pas au rendez-vous - Les points positifs de cet hebergement : la gentillesse du réceptionniste, le lieu a proximité du coeur historique de Florence, la taille de la chambre et la clim. Les moins : chambre au deuxième étage, escalier etroit et pentu à deconseiller à des personnes ayant des difficultes à se deplacer; sur l'annonce, il est annoncé : menage quotidien : en réalité, seul le sac de la poubelle de la salle de bain est changé (lit non fait, bouteille des anciens occupants sous le lit); odeurs de moisi et joints de salle de bain moisis, lunette des wc qui bouge, robinet du bidet mal fixé, chasse d'eau des WC qui disfonctionne...tous ces moins renvoient au fait que le rapport qualité-prix, même à Florence en juillet, n'est pas au rendez-vous.

• Emma (4/5): Do not book this hotel - This Hotel was so bad! Our room was very tiny and dirty. The shower curtains had brown stains all over it, the room and bathroom was dirty and there was stains on the bedding. Both the shower curtains and the toilet brush looked like it was 10 years old, so nasty! We told the reception about this and they said they will clean again, but didn’t. We got a new room the 3rd day, the standard of this room was better and bigger but OK. The breakfast was really bad, we ate other places the rest of the days. We will not recommend this place.

• Verified traveler (8/5): Extremely small bathroom but might return… - Our only issue with the stay was that the shower was extremely small. My husband and I are both average/small size people and the shower in our particular room was too small. We had to choose between letting the shower curtain touch us while we showered (separately, because like I said it was really small) OR let it guide the water out onto the rest of the also small bathroom. Thankfully they had a good amount of towels and they replaced them the following morning without needing to request it. Then again, the staff were so kind and friendly that I’m sure it wouldn’t have been an issue if we needed to ask. We can’t speak on breakfast since we had plans that caused us to leave earlier than breakfast time. The bed was decent. No drawers. The table was extremely small so we had to keep unpacking our bags on the bed whenever we needed something. I wouldn’t recommend the room we stayed in for longer than 3 days, but we did like this location and would consider returning to stay here again in the future.

Wifi is a bit tricky and we didn't always get the best service in our room but the air conditioning is great - and very important during Italian summer months. Great location, short walk to lots of popular attractions.

• Jose Antonio (6/5): No tiene ascensor!! - La habitacion tenia efectivamente lo que decia la descripcion pero es unnejemplo de lo que una buena produccion fotografica puede lograr, ya q se veía bastamte diferente en internet q en la realidad. Lonpeor es que en ninguna parte se advierte que el Hotel NO tiene ascensor y tiene 3 pisos. Mi hanitacion estaba en el tercer piso y andaba con 3 maletas, 1 de ellas muy grande (estuve 2 semanas en Europa). La persona del hotel se ofreció a llevar las 2 maletas chicas y yo tuve q subir la maleta grande (23 kgs) hasta el tercer piso. No aceptaban tarjeta de crédito por el "city tax" (se paga ahí mismo) y ni siquieran daban boleta por ese pago, solo un recibo interno de ellos. Lo bueno fue que guardaronnlas maletas desde las 9am hasta las 7pm que las pasamos a buscar.

• Gary (8/5): Lovely staff! - The staff was excellent. Extremely friendly and helpful in every way. Our room was sufficient, however the shower was a bit small. Our only concern was some mold in the corner of the bathroom. The gentleman at the front desk did offer a different room but we decided to stay with our room, as we liked the refrigerator which was a pleasant surprise! Again the staff could not have been nicer which we greatly appreciated.

• Angel (6/5): Convenient and clean hotel - Hotel Veneto is based at a very central location, <10 min walk from the train station and close to the central market. The concierge provided lots of useful tips and places to visit. There was a party at the university nearby which was very loud, so try to avoid a room facing the street if you want some sleep.
• StLMichael (4/5): Veneto Refrigerator - The room was cold, as in frigid. It was mid-October and hotel staff informed me that the heat was not turned on until November 1st. It was cold that night and the windows were old with only a single pane of glass thick--hence, it was cold in the room. I slept under the four blankets provided, but needed my jeans and leather jacket laying over me to finally relax into sleep. BTW, it is hard to sleep with chattering teeth. There was also a disturbance down the hall with another guest yelling angrily at someone, sometime around 3 am, which lasted about 15 minutes. This was after a trans-Atlantic flight with almost no sleep. This hotel did NOT provide a restful welcome mat for my European vacation. So glad I was only there one night.
• Miklos (4/5): Mediocre hotel - Very well located hotel, but that is about where the positives end. The room was cold, some lights were burnt out, and the WiFi did not work all the time. Wouldn't go back.
• Rebeca (8/5): - It was a very nice Hotel the room was clean and nice. the AC wasnt working that good and sleeping at 35" wasnt so pleasant; I didn't like the fact that the Wifi didn't work that well and that you had to login everytime you wanted to use it. but the person at the front desk was very nice and he offered his PC to do my check in.

• James (4/5): Basic and not bad for the price - If you want basic and you don't want to pay too much then this place is ok. However the facilities were in a bit of tired state and unfortunately it was noisy at times (I accept that isn't the hotel's fault). The breakfast was fine and there was a fair selection for the price. All in all, not dreadful, but not amazing either.
• Hotel Veneto (6/5): location not bad - We found the washroom too small. The room had not window to get some view. There was no elevator or security box. Breakfast was good.

• D&G (6/5): Good Location - We stayed 3 nights at this hotel on the 3rd floor. There is no lift and the stairs are steep. Bed was comfortable.
• Chris (6/5): Ideally placed in the historical district - Florence is idyllic and the hotel is perfectly placed for visiting all the main places of interest. A basic hotel to be sure, but clean, friendly and if you are in Florence you do not spend time in your hotel.
• TH (2/5): Do NOT book this hotel - Rooms and bathrooms are dirty. Covers are stained. Hotel staff is clueless and impossible to find. The breakfast room is a joke, all dishes and tablecloth were dirty. Food is completely unorganized.
• Clanton (2/5): Pictures deceiving - We were extremely disappointed with the hotel when we arrived. The pictures on line were not representative of the hotel, I had recently recovered from a broken ankle and there was no mention of not having an elevator. Although they advertised air conditioning it did not work. We changed rooms three times . The curtains were so sheer you could see straight into our room and bath from the apartment next door, the walls do thin we could here the neighbor singing in the shower. My wife and I both received spider bites in the room, neither was there hot weather until the third room. We called hotels.com but they would not get us out of our week long reservation not would they help us find another room , we finally found a new hotel but lost hundreds of dollars.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Trip to Florence - The hotel was in a good central location near all the main sites. It had some good bars and cafes near the hotel. I found the room good value for what I paid and hotel staff very pleasant and helpful.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Good price close to all the sights. - This was a good budget hotel close to the city centre. I was upgraded to a family room after the room they initially had for me had no working lights. But the room was clean, and the room had wifi for the majority of my stay (quite a strong connection as well). The breakfast was typical of Italian hotels (a lot of cakes and sweets), though the coffee was not particularly good. Well located near the station and the central market, which has a lot of food buying options. Opposite the university cafeteria, so it can be noisy into the night.Overall a good option for the price.
