You are better off sleeping in a tent on the streets May 2025 When my family and I decided to hop the pond and visit Rome, Milan, Naples & Florence, it wasn't because we were excited to immerse ourselves in the lifestyle of the ancient Romans or throw the contents of our bed pans out the window like they did in the medieval era, or even be part of excited renaissance period, it was to enjoy "seeing" all these things 800 - 3000 years later. Well, at the Adre "Majestic" View Hotel, you will get to experience all those things in the 21st century. Let's start with Expedia room pictures. They are NOT all from the Adre Majestic Hotel, the nice pictures are from their three-star hotel, which is the hotel that you check in at, just around the block, the ones with the red staircase and the tiny ones are from the Adre, but those must be 10+ yrs old cause the rooms now are worst-than-hostel-like environments. Oh, and if you are thinking that the 96 - 119 sq ft. measurements on the hotel listing are an error, it is not; these rooms are as small as a 1930 War home bedroom. Now on to the hotel "features" 1. Buffet breakfast available - Where? lol. 2. Housekeeping (daily) - Have to ask for it 3. Connecting/adjoining rooms - No 4. Air Conditioning - You get a fan 5. Rooms - Queens are two single beds pushed together 6. Seating area in room - No, there is no seating area. It's a tiny desk 7. Shower/tub combination - No, there are no tubs, only showers. 8. Elevator - Fits one person and gets stuck, OFTEN. Make sure you have your phone on you to call for help. 9. Wifi - What Wifi? Never worked. Cleanliness - the room smelled like ammonia & we found a bed bug our last day. We reported all this & the front desk did nothing. We even brought them the bed bug. Stay very far away from this Hotel, it should be shut down completely.

• Melissa (8/5): - The staff here was incredible- such a warm welcome and a warm goodbye. The room was pretty bare- it definitely didn't feel like a cozy stay, but we had sufficient bedding, towels and hot water. We spent one night, just to stop and see the Statue of David. I can't imagine spending more time in the room- it was quite bare and not set up for much lounging. But it was steps away from the museum, and steps away from the train. Perfect location, and the front desk staff was incredibly friendly and kind.
• Jose (4/5): - The building smells like sewer, the smell climb through the pipe to the shower drain and the entire room was smelly all the time. They just take cash and said that post was broken. The first day, they did not turn on the hot water so I had to take a very cold shower, may be 8 degrees Celsius. It was an unpleasant experience.

• Michael (6/5): - Very convenient to the central tourist area. Easily walkable to most things. Room was small as we didn't use the small loft. Shower was very small and the door did not work very well. Check-in is at the Hotel Venito, which is a short walk away. That hotel is easier to find than where you will actually stay. Overall, fine for our purposes.
• Humberto (4/5): - Ao encontrar o hotel aqui na pagina da hoteis.com, a pessoa vê a imagem de uma recepção (lobby) de um hotel comum, mas a realidade e bem diferente: o local onde ficam os quartos nao possui recepção/lobby. A chave do quarto a gente deve buscar em um outro hotel. O elevador só cabe 2 pessoas e, as vezes, ele fica impossibilitado de usar (travado). O banheiro é um horror: nao possui box, apenas uma cortina e um ralo no chão. Ele é bem localizado, mas se você procura o minimo de conforto, este nao é o hotel ideal.

The room we were in was treated by Pest Control Insecticide with extensive smell. The room and the building is not building safe per our standard (USA)

• Verified traveler (4/5): - It’s not a relaxed arrival when you reach the entrance but it’s not open, there’s no sign, and the phone number you call is out of service. In my opinion it’s a small effort to inform guests in advance that check-in is at a different hotel around the corner. The staff was all right, the room was well enough, the view good (but I wouldn’t call it majestic). It’s in a building that has regular apartments for residents, of which at least one sometimes blocks the lift/elevator from use. If the shower works, it’s an extremely small space to wash yourself in. The air conditioning didn’t work properly, even after we informed the front desk about it. All in all it’s adequate.

Camera e bagno di dimensioni minime assolutamente sotto la sufficienza sotto ogni aspetto. una delle peggiori esperienze di alloggio sperimentate anche se rapportate ad un prezzo molto contenuto.

De kamer wordt elke dag gepoetst en je krijgt elke dag schoon beddengoed en handdoeken. We waren er tijdens hele warme dagen en dat was wel minder zonder airco. Ook de straat is best druk met verkeer Savonds en snachts. Toch erg fijne dagen gehad.

• Emmely (10/5): Trevligt hotell vid Linate flygplats - Hotellet ligger nära Linate flygplats och transfer till hotellet finns för 3 euro. Väldigt bekvämt om man kommer sent eller har ett tidigt flyg. Det är fräscha och förhållandevis stora rum för att vara Italien.

Quarto simples e banheiro muito ruim, pequeno e sem box.... quando você vai tomar banho, molha o banheiro inteiro. Você faz a reserva do hotel e quando chega para o check in percebe que, se pagou o valor mais barato, vai ficar num outro prédio, e não no prédio que fez o check in, vai para um prédio numa outra rua, um prédio bem mais velho e com pouca estrutura.
• Nora (4/5): Very Bad Experience - Because of train service problems, our train arrived late so we lost our connection to Florence. Next day early in the morning we arrived and the staff told us we had lost the right to our room, despite having been already paid, so they told us to wait until noon because they had already rented the room. The staff treated us bad and with rude gestures and language they told us to wait until noon, because the room was still occupied and after a long bitter discussion they agreed to give us the room for us to rest at 10 AM. When we finally got the room, there were mosquitoes in it and the TV was as small as an iPad.

При заселении дали карту, помогли составить маршрут по городу с рекомендациями где поесть и откуда сделать правильные фотографии. Скромный душ с лейкой над дыркой в полу, но, учитывая копеечную стоимость номера, к этому просто надо быть готовым. Чисто. Нормальный завтрак за 5е с яйцами и йогуртом. При ограниченном бюджете очень рекомендую.

• Ｔ (2/5): 毎晩蚊に悩まされ十分に睡眠がとれなかった。最悪でした。 - フローレンスの市場に近く、ロケーションは大変良いのですが、毎晩蚊と格闘しました。10月は雨期なのか雨が多く、蚊が多い時期なのでしょうか？2日目にホテルのスタッフに蚊を駆除してほしいと伝えたのですが、その晩も同様に蚊と格闘する羽目になりました。二度と利用することはないでしょう。

• Koji (4/5): チェックインまでが一苦労 - 最初、地図で示された住所に来てもホステルがまったく見つからず、途方に暮れてしまいました。あるのは何やら大きな敷地とその奥に見える建物で、まさかここがあの安宿…？などと思ったり。 野宿するのは嫌だったので、近くにあるRoom Mate Hotel？だったかな？の受付のお兄さんに泣きつくことに。そうしたら、「このホステルの場所はわからないけど、ホテルベネトってのが近くにあるから、たぶんそこに行けばいいと思うよ」と道を教えてくれて… RoomMateHotel？を背にして右の十字路に向かい、十字路の角のクリーニング屋さんを右に曲がって進んだところにホテルベネトがありました。そこの受付の人にチェックインしたい旨を告げ、ようやく別の建物の部屋に案内してもらえました…。 部屋の環境も決して良いものではなかったですが(特にシャワーの浴びづらさ)、部屋に辿り着いて眠りにつけた満足感は凄まじいものがありました。 みなさんもぜひお気を付けて…ホテルベネトでチェックインです！

If you just want to sleep a few hours in a place which is close to everything in the historical center of Florence, then this hotel will do... My advice: save a few euros before your trip and pay for a different hotel...

But room was very noisy, because below was mean road, and buses going until late night, and early morning start again. The bathroom was really bad, smells awfull from pipes, and last two days was just cold water from tap.

• Magdalena (4/5): Omijać z daleka ! - Hotel znajduje się w świetnej lokalizacji, zarówno dworzec, zabytki jak i sklepy w odległości kilki-kilkunastu minut spacerem. I to tyle jeśli chodzi o plusy. Pokój mały, ciemny, ponury. Łazienka 1m x 1m, mniejszej nigdy nie widziałam... prysznic bez brodzika, więc po kąpieli cała "łazienka" jest zalana. Nie było nawet gdzie położyć ręcznika czy ciuchów. Łóżka trzeszczą, materace się na nich przesuwają. Okno z widokiem na ścianę... Ściany z papieru, słychać nawet jak ktoś w pokoju obok myje zęby. niesamowity smród na korytarzu. Brak klimatyzacji. Windą strach jechać. Dostaliśmy pokój z łóżkiem na antresoli, na której nie było nawet wykładziny czy desek, podłoga była posklejana z jakiejś poplamionej dykty ze skrawkiem dywanu na środku... Na schodkach na antresolę można się było zabić, miałam problem żeby wejść tam choćby z ręcznikiem w ręce bojąc się, że spadnę... Pobyt max na jedną noc, dłużej ciężko wytrzymać. Recepcja w budynku za skrzyżowaniem. Brak dostępu do kuchni lub choćby do czajnika z wrzątkiem. W pokoju nie było nawet szklanki... Jestem niewymagającą osobą, która oczekuje po prostu czystości, niestety w tym przypadku nawet tego brakowało.

• Hector (2/5): Worse Hotel Ever - The room was very different than the room advertised. The place pictures online and what you arrive they give you a shabby room. Supposedly, the room we got was the best for a family, which for them the room was a "family room." It was in an old, unkept building. Only person can fit in the elevator. It is smaller than a phone booth! The street is very noisy and one is not able to sleep. The room has to table fans attached to the wall. In the shower a regular size person is unable to fit in. It's smaller than a closet! Concerning the service, don't believe what is listed, either. We had to carry our luggage from the reception around the corner to another building where the rooms are located; almost half a city block away. There was a thug in the reception advising the receptionist to send us away if we didn't like the room. However, our money was not going to be reimbursed. Most of all, we were with two kids and it was past 10:30 at night to go anywhere else. Honestly, this so-called hotel is for rats! I am very dissatisfied and disappointed with Hotels.com having this hotel advertised in its website.
• Andres (4/5): Hotel céntrico y bien situado. Nada mas. - Mínimas comodidades, muebles muy antiguos, habitación muy pequeña, ascensor diminuto y antiguo, llaves prehistóricas, ruidoso y sin aire acondicionado por lo que hay que tener en verano las ventanas abiertas. Lo unico bueno es que esta céntrico.
• Verified traveler (2/5): - Buenos dìas, Realmente el hotel Veneto Residence Florence, es un buen hotel, lo malo es que ellos publican un albergue que es de ellos mismos, que fue donde yo por error reserve y es de lo ultimo no tiene aire acondicionado era para 4 personas, el baño malisimo super incomodo, etc. y cuando intente llamar al hotel veneto para cambiar la reserva el nro no servia, al llegar al hotel me dijeron que no me podian cambiar al hotel, que tenia que dormir en el albergue en fin una mala experiencia... ademas considero que la fotos que ponen son del hotel veneto y no del albergue lo cual me parece un engaño...finalmente pague una habitaciòn en el hotel que por cierto no me reconocieron nada de lo que habia pagado. Mi recomendaciòn con este hotel lean bien las letras pequeñas de las reservas en este hotel ya que se pueden equivocar por estar de apurados como yo y reservar en el albergue. (ojo el hotel es bueno, el albergue es el que es malo pero es de ellos mismos y sale publicado con el nombre del hotel veneto. Espero no se equivoquen...saludos!
• sang woon (2/5): 최악의 이태리 호텔 - 최악의 이태리 호텔입니다. 외부온도 38도에 에어콘이나 선풍기도 제공되지 않는데 바우처에 명시되지 않았으니 문제가 없다고 하니 어이가 없었네요. 호텔 직원이 불친절한 태도와 호텔스 닷컴의 성의 없는 답변과 태도도 불쾌합니다.
• Verified traveler (2/5): No Wifi, no A/C dont stay here - Horrible, nightmare, hot summer and no A/C. Staff just couldnt help and the rooms are different from those in the pictures. Stay somewhere else.

• Ginger (2/5): Worst place I have ever stayed - This place was not what I expected. The pictures are totally different to what I saw when I got there. The bathroom was the worst. I could barely turn in there or even dress. There were no tiles or anything on the floor so it was just concrete and all the water from the shower was spraying everywhere. The shower and the actual toilet is not really separated so when you shower, even tehe toilet gets wet along with the sink. It was just horrible. Then there were bugs in the bedroom area, including bugs under the sheets. And when I told the managers about this, they reacted like this was nothing and then they put some sheets over the infected beds which does not do anything. I had to beg to be moved to another room. Though this place was cheap, people still should not have to deal with bugs or an uncleaned room. The next day, they pretended that nothing happened and never even apologized for this. There was no hair dryer in my room even though their page said that the room would have one. There was no air condiitoner, or even a fan, so it was very hot in the room. There were a lot of mosquitoes and a lot of noise coming from the streets at night.
• Kathryn (6/5): Ok place, but clairify location before you come - I stayed in the dormitory. The place was extremely hard to find... No one seemed to know exactly where it was. Really, you Guys need to send directions from the bus station on how to get here. Check in is in a completely different location than the address provided... Honestly, I was so tired and was carrying heavy bags, and was extremely annoyed about this. The dormitory is co Ed, which is fine, but the bathroom is in the room and only has a sliding screen door that doesn't close all the way.... You can hear everything! Also, there are no hooks in the bathroom and no place to put anything besides on the toilet seat! ..... Come on guys, I know this is a budget place to stay, but invest a couple bucks in some hooks in the bathroom, it's the least you could do. I don't like having to rest my nightgown and robe on a toilet seat!!!!

• Mengting (8/5): worth the price - very easy found, and reach from the main train station, about 15 min walk. kindly hotel staff. check-in place is at another hotel just on the opposite street. A small elevator only for one person with your luggages. good area for restaurants and bars, easy way going to Duomo, 10 mins walk. just towel available in the room. Very noisy at the night for it is by the street and some bars nearby with loud music, so double think for those who requires a quiet condition for sleeping. Overall, it deserves its price. Oh, breakfast is really nothing...not recommended.
• Monica (6/5): Good Enough - Our stay in Veneto Residence met our needs for an affordable place to stay in Florence. The location is great and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It's worth mentioning though, that Veneto Hotel and Veneto Residence are actually in two different buildings, down the street from one another. Also, our double bed was in fact two twins (common in Europe) and not very comfortable.
• Verified traveler (6/5): will do hotel.. - I would say our experience in this hotel in Florence would be so so... The highlight is, it close to city center. About 10-15 min walk from the train station which is good. Just about 1 block away from Academia (a museum that houses statue of David). You need to check in at a different hotel which is hotel Delfino just about 20mtrs away from Casa Micol or else you can't get in since there is no information desk. We got our room in the third floor which i don't mind since we can handle it. There is an elevator that is good for 1 person only, will carry 2 if your small. Going to the room, bed is not that comfortable, washroom is about 6x6 foot in size, has a sink, toilet and a shower. In my opinion, I am not really impressed with it. Furthermore, our room has a spiral stairs inside which looks like an attic?? I tried to check it out up stairs but there is nothing but full of dust. Sounds creepy at first but we got over it. I think we just got lucky we end up on that room that was in the end of the hall. Seems to be quite at night which is better so that you can have a descent sleep. All in all i would rate it 3/5? maybe 2.5 but because it is close to academia i would say 3. As they say you get what you payed for. Of all places in Italy I've been so far, Florence is the most expensive one. For sure Venice it would be but we stayed in Mestre to save a bit. Wrapping things up, I still didn't regret it, We only stayed there for 2 nights anyway and it is cheap. Enjoy your trip!!!

• Dominic (4/5): Good service and location but not very clean - Location is near train station and walking distance to main sites. Service and front desk at Veneto hotel was good. Breakfast was good. Room floor and walls were dirty. Bathroom floor was dirty. No A/C. Bed was not comfortable but sheets were clean.Neighborhood very noisy until 1AM.
• Chris (4/5): You get what you pay for - Staff are friendly. Location is close to city and view is great. Beds are lumpy and cleaned by chain smokers, but it's Italy. Not for a romantic getaway, but you want to see florence for cheap this is the place. Otherwise anti up and stay at the Albergo Firenze, more expensive. But once again you get what you pay for!
• I (6/5): You get what you pay for... - Finding the hotel was easy, but checking in wasn't. What they don't tell you is that you actually check in at a different hotel across the street. Which we never would have realized without the help of a resident in the complex. Their is no ac which is awful in the humidity of Florence, the wifi connection is horrible, and it's on a really busy street so at night it was very hard to fall asleep. The water from the shower and sink also smelled like bleach which was concerning... But the location was good with it being close to the train station and the heart of Florence. The staff were very nice and accompdating though. The amount you pay is exactly what you get. Not much.
