- 5db844572ecc72b46fcc45a0a72738b3 (1/5): Don’t ever go - Nothing Customer service horrible would never recommend
- Urszula (7/5): - Bardzo klimatyczny pokoj. Świetna baza wypadowa do San Francisco. Obsluga bardzo mila i pomocna. Pani w recepcji bardzo mila, ale 30 minut przed wymeldowaniem juz dzwoniła - wrażenie presji na gości aby juz zwolnili pokoj.

- Sholanda (8/5): Worth the money, the room was pleasant. - This motel is across the street from Laney College, near BART and walking distance to downtown Oakland, Chinatown and other central locations. The immediate area is safe. My room was clean and the cable television has a few interesting channels. There is a $100 cash deposit required.
- PATRICK (7/5): Excellent - Great Not applicable

- Joseph (1/5): Not applicable - I did not stay there the staff are rude disrespectful and will waste your time be discramaive and rude. I did not like any of the things about this hotel . I’ve stayed there before the rooms are clean and tidy and nice but the prices are not worth the value and there over charging people and ripping off customers and not being honest and being nice and respectful. Not a good choice. 💯I will never mess with them again.

- Nani (1/5): Horrible bad service - Nothing Getting charged n was not able to get a room
- Alejandro (1/5): - These place needs to be shut down
- Eric (1/5): Did not stay - Didn't stay cause needed cash deposit. Went and got cash. Came back and they said the were all booked.
- Williams (7/5): - Very clean 👍
- Ramirez (10/5): - Todo muy bien
- QuinShonna (10/5): -
- Kevin (2/5): - After notifying the motel of late arrival due to an Amtrak safety issue requiring Stockton police involvement, I was unable to provide a definitive time on arrival so was told reservation would be cancelled. Agent on phone rude & condescending. So booked elsewhere
- CELESTINO (10/5): - I’ve been staying here for years for work. Yes they require 100 cash deposit. Yes, they can be rude. Yes, the area isn’t the best. But they are good people, friendly most of the time
- edward (8/5): - It was easy to reserve
- Sampson (1/5): - Nothing Everything
- Ruben (6/5): - The room was clean. Bedding was not all that great in terms of comfort. The big plus is that it is conveniently located near a BART station. Unfortunately there is a homeless encampment nearby.
- Sergio (1/5): Waist of money and time - The table The staff and all the homeless people
- Mr.H (7/5): - N/A N/A
- Greg Allen (1/5): We’ll never go back and will not recommend this place. - There was nothing likeable about the place, the workers were not very welcoming and did not greet us nicely. The location itself didn’t look safe and as soon as we walked in our rooms, it gave a mixed stench of vomit and old dirty clothes. In one of the rooms, the tissue was dirty and looked used. The top security lock was broken and the other room didn’t even have that. The bed smelled and we couldn’t even sit on it because of the stains like they were not properly cleaned or changed at all.
- Amanda (8/5): Cash Deposit?? - The room was fine. Kitchenette, fridge with working freezer, and microwave were great. The one surprise was that the required a cash deposit and didn’t give a receipt for the cash.
- Elvin (1/5): I was full of drama with drug users the room wasn't clean at all and the management was rude to the - The location was nothing like the add on booking.com The area could of been a Lil more cleaner
- Cristyan (10/5): -
- Willard (1/5): -
- Eugene (7/5): Good -
- Jacoby (4/5): - Extremely rude staff I was honestly astonished, kept trying to put me in a smoking room until I showed them i specifically requested non smoking, also required 100 cash deposit upfront. The room was digusting stains on every layer of the bedding and all over the floor as well as socks from someone previously there the bathroom was good though. I do not recommend.
- Ambrosia (1/5): Bad - N/A I didn't actually get to stay at this location.. I booked online the day I planned to stay, but when I arrived, the woman behind the desk told me I had to pay a $100 deposit IN CASH. I asked if they had an ATM on site, but of course they did not, and she didn't have any information for where the nearest one was. I pointed out that this cash deposit was nowhere listed in my reservation, which she agreed was not. Since my phone was nearly dead (as I expected to charge it when I was finally in my room), I wasn't able to search for an atm or another room. I attempted to charge my phone at an available charger outside, but she yelled at me to get off the property. My battery pack was unfortunately in my luggage that the airport [temporarily] lost, so I was attempting to charge my phone with my laptop, but it was going very slowly. After about 20 minutes I had enough battery to turn my phone back on and post an emergency status to my friends, and was luckily able to find someone to assist me. The woman came out of her room to yell at me several times during this, even though I was standing in one spot with my luggage and was not causing any problems. I would never recommend this location to anyone, and will never attempt to book here in the future. That woman behind the desk was awful and has no sympathy/ empathy/ heart.
- Alfredo (2/5): - The people here are as bad as it gets. Don’t waste your time. They make you pay at the property so you can’t receive any discounts.
- Mcmahon (1/5): worst hotel on the planet - nothing there was nothing to like
- Ricardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Randy (2/5): - This hotel required $100 CASH deposit. I had never heard of that before so I wasn’t caring $100 cash when I went to check in. I didn’t end up staying here, but the area around the hotel felt very unsafe and the hotel itself was very dark and dirty.
- Garycostarica (8/5): Very good -
- Quinshonna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samuel (1/5): Bad -
- Brian (10/5): Great price and great place to stay - Location was perfect for me. I was in town for a marathon and it was a 10 minute walk to the start line. Also, since it was a Sunday, there was a large flea market directly across the street from the lodge.
- Hasinnie (1/5): I WANT A REFUND!!! - NOTHING Worse experience ever ! The owners are rude and racist !!! I did not want to rent a smoking room because of prefer to smoke outside & smoke outside because it’s a “non smoking room” the owner assumed since I said no smoking room that I don’t smoke ! He proceeded to talk to me like a child about my right to SMOKE A CIGARETTE ! I told him no I wasn’t smoking he proceeded to assume I smoke, also told me I would not get my deposit back if my clothes smelled like smoke which didn’t make sense to me ! Seemed like he profiled me racially I had already old him I wasn’t smoking there he insisted to keep assuming I did. also the heater was broken and barley worked I was freezing the whole time and they wouldn’t switch my room , the whole process was unprofessional I’ll never spend money with them AGAIN
- Sharlana (2/5): - Cash only business. The front desk lady was unprofessional.
- Abdoul (7/5): It was good. - Easy access to my room. The location is small with a few rooms. An easy access to my workplace.
- Nicole (9/5): Superb - They keep there property well kept ....for a low end lodge . . No bugs
- Olanders (6/5): Pleasant -
- Regina (4/5): - Front office has very rude man, who purposely gives you a hard time, like saying booking is not on file. Basically, you get what you pay for, a very old motel, clean property but junk encampment at the corner.
- Brian (5/5): If I wasn’t a 6’6” man I might not feel safe walking here at night. - Walking distance to my destination Ice machine not working. Everything else just standard for a cheap motel.
- Charles (9/5): The Civic Center lodge gave me a great night sleep at an excellent price. - The modest price was welcome.; suiting perfectly the modest furnishings.
The 4 minute distance from Bay Area Rapid Transit was important to my plans.
I slept very soundly. There was nothing that discomfited me.
For the Bay Area near Berkeley, the price was a great relief.
I was very glad to find a place available at the last minute.
- Kim (6/5): This place has been a go-to for years with its affordability and convenience. - I stay here when I'm in Oakland. Its location and affordability are the reasons I keep returning.Ive never had any problems there with the motel staff, I always get a ground floor room, off-street parking. The location is accessible to the places I go in town. Rooms are old but have everything I need, fridge, microwave and coffee pot. Lots of freeway noise I need earplugs for.
- Kris (3/5): Poor -
- Jet (7/5): Good -
- Jorge (1/5): I will never go back. Ever! - Place us filthy and an awful smell Nothing
- Vitalii (3/5): Poor -
- Simmarie (1/5): Shitty - Nothing We booked a room with 2 beds and the man gave us a room with one bed and thought I was a prostitute. I have a bachelors degree in psychology and was very upset. The people who run this place are terrible. I don’t recommend
- Katacha6 (8/5): Very good - The room was clean. The motel was very close to bart station that can take you to SF.
- Love (10/5): Exceptional -
- Regina (6/5): - It's an old family ran motel. The area is sketch, but I felt safe & had no issues during my stay. Only downside, by choice, very limited English speaking by the front desk.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The front desk guy was relatedt to the grinch. That says it all.
- Dana (4/5): It was a short stay it was ok and I survived - It is public transportation accessible in the best way. It was poorly cleaned. The pillowcase was dirty, the table was dirty and I dare to sit in the chair 😳
- Adriana (3/5): Poor -
- Andrew (6/5): - Pros: convenient for mass transit. Clean and upgraded bathroom. No bugs.
Cons: dirty carpet, thin pillows and towels.
As a smoker I expect my rooms to be kind of shabby so I can’t judge much there, but the carpet is so dirty that I had to walk in my sandals or socks to avoid dirty feet and that’s always pretty gross. For the crappy neighborhood, it felt safe enough and was pretty quiet. I think if someone is okay with lower quality but nothing majorly negative then this place is fine but most people would probably want to pay more for a decent hotel.
- Colby (2/5): - It was not listed that we have to bring cash to pay a deposit and that we cannot pay the room on a credit card. Very strange. We ended up having to find another hotel do to the inconvenience. I BETTER NOT GET CHARGED!!!!
- Gerald (10/5): - I like the vintage vibe
- Joy (6/5): Pleasant - Location was great. Room was clean and comfortable. It was in walking distance from bus stop and places to eat I don't have anything negative to say.
- Joy (10/5): Great room for great value - It was perfectly located for our needs Nothing
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Arnold (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (2/5): - You need $100 cash for a deposit. Who carries cash anymore?
If you keep your car there past checkout, you will pay anything between $20-40 extra, depending on how they fee. And you won't get a receipt.
Lost my keycard and that is a $10 fee.
Location is close to BART, but the service is pretty horrible.
- Stamps (1/5): I will NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!! - Nothing Mgmt very abrupt. It was cold and raining the first night I stayed. I asked if I could get an extra blanket and was told that they DIDN'T HAVE ANY!! I questioned that statement and was eventually brought an extra blanket. I will NEVER book there again. Horrible hospitality!!!!!!!!!
- David (1/5): Bad -
- Armando (3/5): No words - The room is clean but the front main door get stock very bad The land lords are so rudes , they want to change the room I choose on line and they want to give the room they want and that’s the second time they do that
- Caroline (4/5): Accomodation dated, but reflected in the price. OK for one night stay. - Walkable to Amtrak station Constant traffic noise from freeway
- Katie (5/5): Passable - The hotel grounds are clean. The room was clean and smelled nice. Room was equipped with heater, microwave, fridge, coffee maker. Location is terrible. It looks like the hotel is situated on a dumpster. Very loud traffic noise in the room (highway and train). Didn't feel safe to walk in the neighbourhood.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Close to Public Transport - Good:
1. Room was decent enough for one night. The room was cozy. It had a frig and microwave along with toiletries.
2. The location to public transport. The motel is two blocks from Lake Merrit Bart and only a few blocks from Amtrak.
Not so good
1. Homeless trash pile outside on the road. I totally get it as it’s Oakland but still not the most welcoming.
2. There is a cash deposit of $100 upon arrival. You can still pay the reservation with credit card.
3. Since it’s next to the freeway it can be noisy.
Good enough for a night or two.
- Roy (8/5): - Fair price. Despite being next to the freeway, it was pretty quiet. Friendly staff. Area is not great, its Oakland after all.
- Richard (6/5): - The property is nestled next to the freeway. Using the car to drive to this property is inconvenient both for the freeway and the local streets. The management will take a bank card to pay for the room, however will only except cash payment for the room deposit, which is stupid.
- Trudi (8/5): - Nice
- Benny (5/5): Passable -
- Carnell (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ka (9/5): Superb -
- Garcia (8/5): Very good -
- Danielle (5/5): Passable - It is super close to the BART if you are planning to move with public transportation and the wifi is free The staff was a bit rude and didn't give clear instructions about what they wanted us to do, like giving the deposit. The sheets were itchy, to this point, I don't know if it was me or the sheets. I showered every night before going to bed.
- KIYOTAKA (10/5): Reasonable price - The price is reasonable. The room was very quiet. The shower is good condition.
- Aaron (5/5): Passable -
- Singh (2/5): Very poor - When I arrived they were still rented in a few rooms and I had a week before I didn't put into a room. So it cut into my schedule and I had to book another room. So it was very inconvenient
- Haben (3/5): Poor -
- Bobby (5/5): Passable - The Clerk gave us a good deal my husband and I were very grateful.🌿💯😊👍 Ice Machine was broke and it was hot outside
- Charles (10/5): - The staff are very nice and helpful, the location is two blocks from BART and within walking distance of Chinatown and the Jack London Square area. On Sundays, the Laney Flea Market is literally across the street, so that was neat too.
- Mary (8/5): - This motel is on the smaller side but the friendliness of the staff along with a clean room overshadows the size. A coffee maker and microwave were included. It's unfortunate that I couldn't take complete advantage. due to a family emergency I had the room for less than 6 hours.
- Maxwell (4/5): Smh - Blood on the walls and rude service and tried to say leaves from my shoes coming inside the room and out I left it dirty I double check with them inside and they told me never mind
- Wil (4/5): Disappointing - What breakfast Much much
- Munson (5/5): Disappointing. - Tops of things extremely dirty. Wi-fi didn’t work. Wi-fi didn’t work.
- Mike (8/5): - There was loud night construction nearby but that isn’t the motel’s fault. It is also a very rough neighborhood but I knew that beforehand and don’t mind personally. The cable didn’t work except for one channel. That should be fixed.
- Logan (8/5): Very good -
- Gina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dindo (7/5): Good - it’s quiet
- jon (8/5): - This is a clean, well lit budget property. The room was very clean and the shower was hot. This is the kind of place where you need a clean place to sleep, don't need amenities, want to support a small business and don't get too upset about the run down areas of Oakland.
- Sam (7/5): Good - location.
- Michael (3/5): Poor -
