• Bogdan (1/5): Dampness. Unhealthy. - Very disappointing experience. The room was extremely damp and humid, to the point where the environment felt unhealthy and uncomfortable to sleep in. The situation became even worse at checkout, when the staff refused to provide an invoice. We had to argue for a long time and threaten to contact the police before receiving a handwritten document. The staff was rude and confrontational instead of trying to solve the issue professionally. I would not recommend this property.

Great places to eat within 10 minutes walk Getting to it was quite the challenge. Poor signage, but we finally managed to locate. The parking directions were very unclear.

Abbiamo alloggiato in una camera grotta semplicemente spettacolare. È incredibile come siano riusciti a preservare l’anima antica del luogo offrendo allo stesso tempo ogni tipo di comodità moderna. Curata nei minimi dettagli, spaziosa e con un'atmosfera davvero suggestiva. Location ottima! Il residence si trova in un punto strategico per esplorare i Sassi a piedi, permettendoti di immergerti totalmente nella bellezza della città fin dal primo passo fuori dalla porta. La Colazione un capitolo a parte, semplicemente super! Prodotti freschi, salumi , formaggi locali, torte, frutta fresca ecc. una qualità infinita di cibo che ci ha dato la carica giusta per tutta la giornata. In sintesi, ci siamo trovati benissimo . Un ringraziamento speciale allo staff per la loro accoglienza e professionalità. Consigliatissimo!

La colazione davvero eccellente: focaccia di Matera, torte buonissime fatte in casa, Yogurt, cereali, frutta , salumi e formaggi locali, frutta secca.........Il titolare, il sig.Vincenzo, è una persona molto disponibile e pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza. La posizione offre una vista sui Sassi unica e davvero incantevole.

• Pieter (8/5): - Heerlijke locatie te midden van de sassi. Unieke ervaring om in een grot te slapen. Ontbijt in orde. De jongeman aan het onthaal en bij het ontbijt was ontzettend gastvrij. Toen ‘s avonds onze kaart niet werkte om de kamer binnen te gaan, reageerde de uitbater nogal onvriendelijk. De kamer zelf is aan de vochtige kant, wat op zich geen probleem is maar je moet hier wel tegen kunnen.

• Marco (10/5): - Lo staff veramente molto disponibile. Siamo arrivati prima dell'orario del check in e ci hanno offerto cappuccino-caffè e parmigiana di melanzane fatte da loro poco dopo. Posizione centrale, a 5 minuti a piedi dal centro di Matera. Noi siamo arrivati in macchina, parcheggiata nel parcheggio pubblico di Via Saragat e abbiamo usufruito della Linea sassi che in 7-8 minuti arriva alla Chiesa di sant'agostino (a 2 minuti a piedi dalla struttura) L'unico lato negativo dell'esperienza in grotta é l'umidità che si accumula nel corso della giornata (in ogni caso ampiamente tollerabile e preventivabile), per cui una volta rientrati in B eB dopo le giornate di visita era necessario far arieggiare una decina di minuti. Anche il portellone dell'infisso superiore va tenuto aperto per un ricircolo dell'aria.

• Federico (10/5): Esperienza eccellente. - Il nostro soggiorno in questo posto è stato veramente ottimo. L'accoglienza è stata impeccabile, lo staff gentilissimo e la posizione meravigliosa. L'alloggio è situato nel Sasso Barisano a pochi metri dalla fermata della navetta che ti porta al parcheggio Saragat. Molto graditi i kit igiene con dentifricio e spazzolino, cuffia, bagnoschiuma, shampoo e ciabatte. Era presente anche la macchinetta per the e caffe in camera con capsule. Ci è stato offerta anche l'acqua. Colazione abbondantissima e molto buona.

Posizione ottima, colazione top (la focaccia buonissima) tutto fatto in casa, raggiungete tutto a piedi, il signor Vincenzo è veramente gentile. Ci ha aspettato fino a tardi al check in poiché abbiamo avuto dei problemi logistici. Tutto perfetto

They also offered slippers for purchase (1 Euro), the soap and shampoo were in big bottles, and they had hair nets for showering Great place to stay! It was really nice so no real complaints. It does have a slight musty smell but we got accustomed to it right away.

The breakfast was very tasty, a lot to choose from. The specific smell of a cave, there are obviously no windows inside so not recommended for those with claustrophobia. But all together it was an exceptional stay.

• Joerg (8/5): - Matera muss man sehen. Es ist kaum zu glauben wie Menschen in Europa bis in die 50er gelebt haben. Unser Zimmer war eine sehr geräumige, modern ausgestattete Höhle. Wir wollten unbedingt dort übernachten. Die Ausstattung war top.

Expérience unique dans un endroit historique, au calme et muni de tout le confort nécessaire malgré la rusticité des lieux. Petit déjeuner bien achalandé et varié. Hôte sympathique et accueillant. Un peu difficile à trouver mais c'est ce qui fait le charme de Matera, son labyrinthe infini de petites ruelles.

Am Abend atemberaubender Blick über Matera. Ganz klare Weiterempfehlung, zumindest für diese Wohnung (incl Wohnzimmer und Küchenzeile), welche wir hatten.

Un poco húmedo y me esperaba otra habitación mejor, pero muy bien igualmente para una noche. Quizás un poco elevado el precio para lo que es. Sería mucho mejor si cambiaran el colchón. Era de dos colchones y solicitamos una grande.

• Belinda (8/5): Great location - The accommodation was in the Sassi cave area and was a lovely cave hotel. The air conditioning was OK. The location was great. Be aware there is NO car parking at this hotel or anywhere near it in spite of what the information says. You have to park your car at a car park about 5 km away and catch a shuttle bus then walk.
