Ivana oli oikein mukava ja ystävällinen. Good location – close to the bus and train station, and just a short walk to the city center. Clean and spacious room – the fridge was a nice extra. Ivana was very kind and friendly. Sänky ei minulle ollut hyvä. Aamiainen oli melko vaatimaton, mutta oli kuitenkin. Hyvä muistaa mahdolliset kaupungin äänet, kun sijainti on keskeisellä paikalla. The bed wasn’t very comfortable for me. The breakfast was quite basic, but it was still provided. It’s good to keep in mind that, due to the central location, there may be some city noise.

• VINCENT (10/5): - Ivana est très accueillante, nous avons pu communiquer avant notre venue. Elle nous a réservé le parking privé qui est juste à côté. La chambre est très spacieuse et bien équipée. Nous nous sommes sentis comme à la maison. Le petit déjeuner est complet et fait avec amour. Vous avez 2 restaurant en bas de l'appartement. Grazie zia Ivana!!!
• Ludmila (10/5): - Výborná snídaně u paní majitelky doma. Vybavení je trošku starší, ale vše bylo čisté. Byt je naproti hlavní třídy, takže v podstatě v centru. Parkovat se dá v placených garážích za rohem nebo o ulici dál, kde je parkovací automat. Vše bylo v pořádku.
• Andreea (6/5): Ok - In ciuda barierei lingvistice, Ivana este o gazda minunata. Ne-a asteptat desi am ajuns dupa ora stabilita (din cauza unor probleme cu inchirierea masinii). Micul dejul a fost generos, servit intr-un living cu decor original si priveliste frumoasa. Ivana ne-a facut rezervare pentru pranz la restaurantul de la parter si chiar ne-a facut placuta surpriza de a ne asigura cate un pahar de prosecco/suc de lamaie la masa. Am ajuns obositi, dar din pacate nu am reusit sa ne odihnim. Paturile nu sunt deloc confortabile, scartaie la cea mai mica miscare. In plus, peste noapte au ajuns si alti oaspeti, iar zgomotul produs ne-a tulburat somnul.

Das Frühstück war hervorragend und ließ keine Wünsche offen. Ivana ist sehr hilfsbereit und entgegenkommend. Es gab keinerlei negative Punkte – sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Zimmer ist sehr schön eingerichtet, man hat eine schöne Aussicht und auch der Gemeinschaftsraum ist sehr einladend. Die Lage ist ideal für alle Stadterkundungen und direkt um die Ecke fährt auch der Bus zum Flughafen. Das Zimmer ist zur Straße ausgerichtet, das heißt man muss mit Straßenlärm rechnen.

Pokój z widokiem na Teatr Bellini. Natomiast trudno nam było zasypiać z uwagi na głośny ruch uliczny i nocne życie miasta. Ale wiadomo, że lokaliza z ja w centrum turystycznym wielkiego miasta może mieć swoje konsekwencje.

• Skorzeny Joel (10/5): - Stayed at this B&B from 22/05/2025 to 26/05/2025. Very clean, secure and quiet. Very warm, accommodating and friendly host. B&B has a home from home feel. Host was very helpful with what to do and where to go. Arrange transport and transfers, even got to borrow her umbrella of which I lost ! Missed times for breakfast but she still went out her way to make sure we did. She checked in with us daily and regularly. I will definitely recommend staying here. Thank you so much Ivana.

Every morning she prepared us a very abundant breakfast. We love you, Ivana :) The location of the bnb is very good too, in the historical center, but easy to go to the main roads too. we were there only for 3 days :(

• J (7/5): A disappointing experience - The room was spacious and the mattress was great. The host was responsive and attentive. View of Bernini Theater from the boring living room was a beautiful surprise! Before our arrival, the host surprised us with a message saying that under national regulation, we needed to send ID dox to her via email or WhatsApp and do self-checkin. But our request to do this in person was promptly accepted! Upon arrival, we were shocked to notice at least 4 small black worms wriggling in the toilet bowl water! The host showed up immediately with a bottle of bleach and quickly put an end to the bug scare. She kindly offered to change us to a much larger unit, though not quite as cheerfully decorated or sufficiently lit as the original one. Bathroom had no window. The shower head was stained with green limescale buildup. And the shower curtain was so poorly fitted at the center top over the bathtub that every time one took a shower, water literally flooded the bathroom and the slippery floor tiles were dangerous to walk on. There was a mop in the bathroom but towels were more useful. Some older reviews reported the same issue. Obviously it was not addressed. Do be careful if you use the same bathroom. The slabs of the double door didn’t close tightly and you could see thru the gaps. Luckily, filling soft tissue paper into the gaps fixed the problem. Of course we had to apply the makeshift “sealant” multiple times during our stay there. Breakfast was healthy and tasty, but in meager ration size, good for vegetarians on diet. We each got four tiny triangular toasts, a small cup of carefully diced fruits, a glass of orange juice, and a thin omelette with pieces of tomatoes, radishes, green olives, pickled peppers on side.

We enjoyed the fact that we could walk to all the sights and a bus to the airport is right around the corner. The breakfast was nice and the room was very comfortable and spacious. The two negatives of this stay were the smells and noise coming from the restaurant below and the bathtub/shower is very slippery and difficult to use. Some new non-slip strips for the tub would solve this problem.

The atmosphere of the Sicilian house is truly unique. The property is definitely worth recommending, and its owner even more so. It was almost a pity to leave Sicily. Sweet breakfasts, they say, are the way to go in Sicily. It's more a matter of taste.

• Nick (8/5): A pleasure to stay in what felt like a family home - Ivana was a joy to stay with. The property was very clean. It was in a very old and once grand property which still showed aspects of its former glory in faded frescos on ceilings, etc. The breakfasts were unusual for Sicily, as we were treated to scrambled eggs ,bacon & salad as well as sweet treats and coffee & tea. Coffee, tea and water were always available too. We liked our stay very much.

The host was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Nice and clean room like the pictures. We enjoyed very much our stay there and would book this place again. We stayed on Saturday night and probably because of that it was a little bit noisy in the evening from the people in the square.

• Eon (1/5): The stay was disappointing due to a low-quality mattress that led to back pain, lack of breakfast despite claims, dust a - I experienced back pain after sleeping at this place. The mattress seemed to be of low quality. There was no breakfast provided despite the place claiming to be a bed and breakfast. The location is quite convenient as it's in the city center, but it's also dusty and has poor air quality due to its proximity to the road. The noise from the road could be bothersome at night. The air conditioner was broken, so if someone wants full-power A/C, it's best not to expect it here. The owner of the B&B appears to be kind and nice, but you can somewhat sense that it's just a facade or a mask they put on. + reply : The host initially claimed to have provided an early check-in as a gesture of goodwill, but in reality, they demanded an additional fee. Having traveled extensively and stayed in numerous accommodations before, it was clear that this mattress had noticeable issues and did not meet the expected quality standards. The host mentioned that breakfast was available from 7 AM until 10 AM, so I inquired about the possibility of having breakfast around 9:30 AM. Unfortunately, I received no response until the morning, when I was informed that breakfast was no longer possible due to the 10 AM check-out time. Additionally, my partner and I were working late into the night and briefly stepped out. However, when we returned, we encountered an issue with the door gate, even when using the password provided by the host. Regrettably, before we could explain the situation or offer our apologies for inadvertently disturbing others during the night, the host became extremely upset and simply instructed us to check out right next day, without seeking any clarification. And this review simply conveys the facts, unrelated to the situation, and leaves an honest evaluation without any malicious intent.

• Rodney (8/5): I’m very pleased to have stayed at Ivana’s b and b - Ivana is a lovely friendly person and her apartment is full of character. Everything worked fine including the shower and wifi. Breakfast was simple - toast, muffin, sesame biscuits, cornflakes and yoghurt - she offered an English alternative. the location could be clearer - it is a large wooden door next to a cafe. There is a bell with her name on the panel

• Anastasiia (10/5): Exceptional - Ivana is an amazing host! Her b&b is located exactly in the center of the city! Beautiful Sicilian apartment really well maintained! Bedroom and bathroom are exceptionally clean. Ivana took care of transportation ( both driver and Ivana were responding very quickly!) and checked me in after the midnight because I had a late flight. Her breakfasts were delicious and very aesthetically pleasing! Room was spacious but at the same time was warming up quickly by air conditioning. Can 100% recommend this place, it was a great experience, totally worth the money!

Good location with a short walking distance to the city main square and the train station. Ivana, the host is simply amazing, and her breakfast is the best I have ever had in a similar guesthouse, together with personal service and a comfortable attitude. Highly recommended overall. All was good.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great Location and Host - Ivana's B&B is in an excellent location. It is walking distance to the sites as well as great restaurants (and gelato!). Note that it is a B&B, but you are left to yourself once checked in. Ivana was great and helped me with free street parking, which can be a hassle if you're not local!
• Molly (8/5): Convenient location, homey feel - The access into the courtyard is a little tricky. It has a facade wall that leads into a courtyard, and no one was picking up the call button for the B&B. I had to wait for someone to come through from another residential apartment and they let me in. Once in, I waited about 1/2 hour before a kind gentleman opened up the B&B and he even carried my suitcase up the 2 flights of stairs because the elevator wasn't working. (so nice!) Once inside it feels like a homey, kinda well lived-in apartment. It felt completely safe with other residents there as you have your own locked room and your own private bathroom. You have to access three different keys for entry each time, but it was easy once you got the hang of it. It was a little chilly while I was there, but the heater worked great. The room itself is rather spacious. Besides the bed, it has a desk, TV, wardrobe to hang clothes, 2 side end tables and a small area with double windows to look out over the street. They serve you breakfast each morning. The only recommendation I would give is they should update their bedding as it seemed too worn out, otherwise it was a great place to stay for the convenience of walkability of the city and the cost.
• Pieter (10/5): Ideale ligging in het drukke stadscentrum - Ideaal gelegen in het centrum vrijwel alles op loopafstand. De beheerder biedt ook een transfer naar de luchthaven. Omdat het in het centrum ligt is het wel enigszins lawaaierig. Uitzicht vanuit de kamer op de beroemde opera van Bellini
• SEUNGMI (10/5): Lovely B&B - It is family B&B, and Ivana's family was really nice and adorable!! I felt really comfortable here... The room was big and clean, and everything that I needed was provided. The heater was also powerful, so I could stay warm in my room..I enjoyed my staying here! Location was nice, too. Duomo and Bellini theater are near this B&B. Also, the train station and bus terminal are not far from here. I hope to stay here again if I go to Catania again :)

The owner ivana was very welcoming treating me not only as a guest but like a family member welcomed me to her home offered me a lovely room, showed me what to do in catania and also where to eat. Lovely big size room good air con and nice art work. Shower big enough too.

• Lucia (10/5): Come a casa!! - Il b&b Ivana si trova al centro di Catania in un palazzo storico. A 2 minuti dalla fermarta del bus per chi arriva dall' aeroporto. Le camere sono spaziosissime con alti soffitti in parte decorati. Camera e bagno molto puliti, presenti tv wifi aria condizionata. Il soggiorno comprende anche la colazione con the caffe succhi di frutta yogurt cereali fette biscottate marmellata e frutta. Ivana è molto simpatatica e disponibile e avendo il volo in tarda serata mi ha permesdo di restare nell' area comune.Lo consiglio a tutti...in pieno centro e a 15 minuti con i mezzi pubblici dal mare. Sicuramente ci ritornerò!!

Siccome avevo l'aereo molto tardi la sera mi ha dato la possibilità di trattenermi nella stanza oltre l'orario del check out, dato che non c'erano per quella data altri ospiti in arrivo. Ovviamente questo favore mi ha fatto molto piacere e molto comodo.

• Ursula (8/5): Gutes B&B fürnden kleinen Geldbeutel - Das äussere Erscheinungsbild ist erschreckend , aber innen , es war wohl mal eine große Wohnung ? In der Diele Ansammlung von Kitsch . Das Zimmer aber schön groß und minimalistisch , wohl etwas afrikanisch mit Rattanmöbeln eingerichtet , TV und Wlan vorhanden . Das Bett groß und sauber , die Matratze sehr gut . Badezimmer sauber und man hat alles was man braucht , sogar ein Bidet , auch sehr sauber . Auf meine Frage wann es Frühstück gibt wurde 7°° Uhr gesagt . Ich war 7!! Uhr da , sonst keiner , kam auch niemand . Es war eingedeckt aber es gab nichts außer ein paar Keksen , auf die ich aber verzichtet habe , fuhr dann eben ohne Kaffee zum Airport

Ivana nous a accueillies chaleureusement et nous as tout de suite donné un plan de la ville avec les lieux historiques. L’hotel est situé au cœur de la ville et il y fait vraiment bon vivre. Nous avons passé un séjour excellent !

• Nataliya (10/5): Хотите пожить в типичной итальянской квартире?))) - Нам досталась большая комната в коммунальной квартире. Обслуживанием занимается очаровательная женщина, подруга хозяйки квартиры. С другими гостями мы ни разу не столкнулись. В нашей комнате была индивидуальная ванна со всем необходимым. Завтрак нам накрыли в большой, полностью оборудованной кухне. Завтрак для Италии был хорошим, но мужчинам наверное будет недостаточно одних булочек, хлопьев и йогурта. Хотелось бы, чтобы меню было хоть несколько кусочков колбаски. Вечером захотели перекусить в номере, хозяйка сразу выдала всю необходимую посуду. Жилище нас удивило росписью на потолке и антикварной мебелью. Жили как в музее)) Расположение дома великолепное, до всех достопримечательностей ходили пешком. Рекомендую однозначно
• Verified traveler (6/5): - La posizione è buona, una diecina di minuti a piedi sia dalla stazione centrale di Catania che da piazza duomo. La sigora Ivana è molto cordiale e prepara una buona prima colazione.Sono rimasto abbastanza soddisfatto.
• Greg (10/5): Comfortable and convenient accommodation. - Behind unprepossing street facade,this provides very comfortable accommodation. Ivana is an excellent,caring and accommodating host. Accommodation is in an active family environment but there is excellent separation from the delightful family. Room is spacious with adjacent sitting room. Cleanliness is impeccable. Breakfast is typical Italian. Location is very good mid-way between the railway station and the centre (cathedral) of the city both less than 15 minutes easy walk away. There are plenty of eating possibilities very close by ranging from simple bites to trattoria to fine fish restaurant linked to the BnB. Payment is by cash only - no credit card facility. In all,a very happy place to stay.

Als ich relativ spät zur Unterkunft kam , hat sie sogar mit Pasta gewartet, da sie sich dachte das ich hungrig bin. Die Pasta war ausgezeichnet. Da ich sehr viel Reise und schon viel gesehen habe - kann ich diese Unterkunft nur sehr empfehlen - Die Zimmer inklusiv Badezimmer sind extrem sauber :-) und sehr geräumig. Ich als alleinreisende Frau komme sicherlich wieder in Ivana`s B&B da ich mich dort sehr Wohl gefühlt habe. Ivana, solltes du das zu lesen bekommen - nochmals Danke für alles :-)
