• Rosemary (7/5): - Spacious. Quiet location. Well-appointed kitchen with plenty of tea and coffee. No handtowels and facecloths. One small bathtowel each for two adults. No servicing. Excessive noise from people upstairs on Saturday night.

BBQ was very handy. We had a wonderful experience staying here. We look forward to staying again, suited us perfectly.

• Leslie (8/5): It was a quiet place for sleeping. I arrived in the middle of a hurricane, but it was still very cozy. There was a nice - It was very attractive. It had the kind of space I needed for visiting and sleeping. It wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. The bed was not comfortable in the main living area. Little useful space on the kitchen counter.

• Ann (9/5): Superb - Perfect location, 20 metres to Orewa Beach. Amazing courtyard, lovely decor, very quiet. Rufus very friendly little dog, as we're the owners. Great weekend stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of Auckland, just a short drive, to peace and tranquility. Would stay again.

• Christine (7/5): Great location, almost on the beach. - The location is wonderful, just yards from the beach. The courtyard and deck are really great, and such a bonus. Not being able to securely separate our accommodation from the unit upstairs was strange. The kitchen is tiny with limited cooking facilities which may be fine for a night or two but for a week it was a little difficult. The provision of a small gas barbecue on the deck for guests use would really help.
• Max (9/5): Superb - Great location, nice accommodation, nice hosts Advertised as breakfast included, it wasn't. No internet for tv, like Netflix etc.
• Barbara (3/5): Poor - We liked the location and the hosts were nice. The accommodation is in desperate need of a declutter and renovation. There is no soundproofing, so you can hear the movements upstairs, and it didn't feel very private. We think it was very overpriced and should be cheaper to reflect its current state.

Internet stopped working 2 day we were there. Breakfast had been discontinued lucky we had enough food for breakfast as well. New owners but we were not advised of the changes Quiet disappointed

The small beds were not the most comfortable, also not being able to lock the bathroom was fine as I was traveling with family, but if that were not the case it would not be ideal. Also there was no way to completely separate the space from the upstairs.
• Wendy (3/5): I felt cheated. I did write to them and they gave me a 10% REFUND-hardly paid my petrol. - The location ONLY!!. Had been there 3 times before with previous owners. Very disappointed this time around with new owners. I knocked on the door. No-one was there. I found a number and rang. The hosts answered and told me where to find the key. Not told of this until I rang!! No hospitality. Huge wooden beams at gate on the ground. Had to move them to get my bag through. I am 63. Not acceptable- ANYWHERE. Electric blanket and light unplugged FAR under the bed. had to lie on my stomach to sort this one out. Gritty feel of dust on outside chairs. Thread-bare drying cloths. Cheap toilet paper (for a boutique dwelling). No MILK provided. No extension lead so that I could use my hot brush near a mirror. Soap dispenser in bathroom did not work. So disappointed.

The location is wonderful, right by the beach, so you can fall asleep listening to the waves. The bed was amazingly comfortable; haven’t slept so well in a long time!

• Elizabeth (10/5): Orewa Beachside had everything we needed to be able to relaxe . - We loved the location, close to the beach, shopping center, restaurants, and our host were very friendly .we loved that it was quite and very private. The court yard was lovely really spacious for visitors,best of all outdoor shower, and out door washing lines for when you come back from the beach, love it. I can't fault anything.

Expensive for what was offered- eg we stayed in others with 2 proper bedrooms both with en suite, lounge etc plus breakfast for considerably less per night.

• Neil (10/5): Beautiful accommodation, great location and awesome service. - Location was excellent. we wanted something close to Orewa township and the beach and this property provided both. Linley and David were excellent hosts and could not have been more helpful. The room and outside entertainment area were really nice as well as being clean. We will be back!
• Hans (9/5): A very well appointed and ideally situated facility with warmly welcoming hosts. - Every aspect of the B&B was as described in the site outline and was very satisfactory. The location is superb as far as access to beach and town centre goes. The hosts are obviously very experienced and have anticipated every need we had in terms of facilities and comforts including, as mentioned by others, Linley's delicious welcome cake. David was very hospitable when we arrived early and set us up without hassle. We can wholeheartedly recommend Orewa Beachside. Having the hosts live above the guest facilities, but that is unavoidable and was not a problem. Otherwise, no dislikes at all.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Great accommodation and hosts, highly recommend. - Great location, very close to the beach for a nice stroll to the town centre for a meal or breakfast. The location of Orewa is far enough from Auckland for peace and quiet, yet within easy commute with the motorway being only 2km away. The accommodation was great and provide complete privacy. The rooms were well furnished, very clean. The hosts were very attentive warm and very friendly. A return to Orewa and to Beachside is certainly on the cards!
• Peter (10/5): High quality secluded accommodation. - Very nice accommodation with private courtyard virtually on the beach (50m). David and Linley were very welcoming, friendly and most obliging. Almost all needs catered for (for some reason wifi was weak and intermittent on Apple but ok on Android) - apartment got a bit cold by the morning which was just about ok being Easter but would have been an issue in colder weather. Early am sunrises looking east over the beach horizon were amazing.
• Debra H. (10/5): A Slice of Heaven - This stay was an amazing way to begin our dream vacation in New Zealand! The apartment was in the ground level of the owner's home. The bedroom opened up to a beautiful private garden, where we enjoyed meals, a glass of wine and conversation. Step outside of the enclosed garden and you see the majesty of the Orewa Beach for a swim or beach walk. The hosts David and Linley provided wonderful provions for our breakfasts and even shared some homemade baked goods. They were very helpful in pointing out local sites to visit including Puhoi, Alice Eaves Scrnic Reserve, and Shakespear Regional Park Reserve. We also drove up the coast to Omaha Beach and Tawharunui Regional Park. Orwewa Beachside was a slice of heaven!

• Kev & Michelle (10/5): Right next to the beach...quiet...Has everything. - Lovely place to stay. Quiet. So close to the beach you can hear the waves lapping gently at the sand. The hosts thought of everything you might need, and we're very friendly and helpful. We would love to stay again.
• Donovan and Mil (10/5): Relaxing Oasis - We were greeted upon arrival by our host and given a short tour of the apartment and courtyard gardens. The rooms were beautiful with soft island colors and overstuffed pillows that beckoned us to relax. The bath made us feel pampered with lovely shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and oversized robes. The heated towel rod and antifog mirror were a much appreciated touch. The kitchen had everthing needed to prepare a meal or just a snack to take out on the patio as we listened to ocean waves and lounged with the cool breeze. Truly an Oasis for the weary travelers. We will absolutely return to this gem again. Thank you David and Lynnleigh for such a wonderful experience.

• E (10/5): Gracious Hosts - Fabulous. Plenty of room for the three of us traveling together (four would have been a bit tight). Breakfast items (cereal, toast, eggs) and fresh fruit offered an outstanding choice. Owner checked in with us each morning to ensure we had everything we needed or to answer any questions. We felt pampered and important!
• Verified traveler (10/5): COZY and CONFORTABLE - David and Linley are very friendly and kind. We cooked breakfast by ourselves in the kitchen in the room. They kindly prepared bread, milk, eggs, yorgult, fruits, bamana cake and so on. Location is also good. I would like to stay there again.
