Guest Reviews
- Glenn Christian (6/5): -
- Walter (8/5): - Money value, you get what you paid. Enough for me Dirty toilets. Some people are not clean when using the toilets. I didn't want to take a shower for fear of catching Aids
- Nancy (8/5): - Staff. Evening meal.Ramp to motel rooms. Air conditioner noisy.
Leak of water under tiles under washbasin.
Unable to view Channel 7 on TV.
- Adam (7/5): -
- Lorena (2/5): No worth it. - The blankets were dirty and the room smells smoke, no air and very old; bathroom dirty too.
The value paid do not match what they offer on booking and the pictures too, they show something new, and what they provide is something very old and dirty.
- Cooper (9/5): -
- Troy (6/5): Ok but felt dirty , I was only there to sleep but if I wanted to use tv I couldn’t. - The staff were amazing! No joke! Amazing people! The cockroaches in my room, really stained carpet and no tv remote .
- Paul (10/5): Good room & bathroom facilities close to town. Recommended 👍 - Basic clean room & good shower. Great bar, good location close to town. will stay here again soon 👍 All good - no TV remote but no big deal…
- Marcus (4/5): Old space with tired facilities - Staff were friendly and made checking easy The bathrooms were wet and messy when we arrived and the rooms were tired and blinds old and ripped
- Dusan (8/5): My stay was very enjoyable - Close to every thing Friendly staff & people
- Carter (9/5): - I like the convenience to t h e trains and shops N/a

- MHILA (2/5): I have no sleep, too noisy from the ceiling fan , no remote control for the TV. I have asked. - location Dirty - carpet full of stains, too noisy, no remote control for the TV
- Farhad (9/5): -
- Charline (5/5): Doable for a last minute, on a tight budget, one night only. - Helpful friendly staff member who checked me in. Tv didn’t work.
Carpets were dirty, with patches of washable food spills and leaking fridge.
The room door could only be locked from the outside, so it was difficult to tell whether it was actually locked when inside. Which was concerning, as the fire escape door was tied open with a string, and through which any of the questionable car park wanderers could walk.
List of rules on the wall, mostly standard except- “ the right to perform random room checks”! - Felt very dormitory/halfway house.
The shared bathroom facilities were clean and easily accessible.
- Lucas (5/5): - The cleaning staff was friendly. Sadly there was only one female bathroom for the whole floor. Besides that, pack a bunch of earplugs, because the cooling of the restaurant underneath the rooms is really really noisy.
- Sandeep (10/5): - I like everything, very friendly and cooperative staff, room, location.
- Peter (5/5): - As usual the check in was quick and easy. My dinner and drink very enjoyable. The bed was clean and comfortable. Room was quiet enough.
But thats where my complements stop this time. Sorry. I'm a pensioner and cannot afford expensive accommodation. However, this was most disappointing!
* THERE WAS NO HAND BASIN IN THE ROOM! Every other time I've srayed there was a basin. This time, not even a ewer and dish on a nightstand.
* The tv was so high on the wall, I would have needed binoculars to see. I had none so could only listen. So tutned it off.
* The cupboard shelf was missing a support so was unusable. ALSO there wasn't a single hanger.
* To plug in the jug, I had to get on my knees and stretch right under to reach the power point.
* There was no fan in the room and no bedside table.
* Otherwise the room was okay!
- Kapigeno (8/5): I loved it - Available View

- Wendy (9/5): Had a wonderful stay, staff were all lovely and helpful, clean fresh room. Loved the band playing Saturday night. Hotel - Loved the building and location, close to everywhere. Listen to the band, sounded great Everything clean, neat and tidy. Loved the basin in the room and fridge. Toaster would be good too. Window in the room, Room 7, was wide open when I arrived. As I am not familiar with the area, I decided to close it overnight. It was pretty stiff to get down, and then it came down very fast. In the morning unfortunately I was unable to get it to open again, I feel it needs servicing, wouldn’t want it to come down on someone’s fingers.

- Robert (6/5): Great budget stay as long as you don't expect too much. - Stayed in a twin room facing the streets. Water pressure in the shared bathrooms was excellent and beds were comfortable. Linen was clean and room had openable windows. Room had its own sink with was a bonus. The room could have been better cleaned with the carpet having a off smell. No active ventilation meant keeping windows open or bearing the smell. Kitchenet Facilities were lacking with no microwave and tea and coffee thrown into a container.
- Therese (10/5): -
- Christina (7/5): -
- MARINA (2/5): Eat, drink inhouse. Stay elsewhere. - Liked things! The friendly, efficient staff, the perfect location, needed while attending the dawn service for Anzac Day and lastly the great food from the Bistro.
Like the towels.
Heading to the train station.
Don't get this messed up. The rooms are as if from another establishment. The bar, overlooking the water with its great staff, ambience and entertainment is not to be ruined because of the terrible accommodation. There's a lot not too like about the room I stayed in, from the overwhelming, disgusting smell of stink feet. The carpet should be ripped up and burned (but if it could, it would probably walk out on its own if it wasn't nailed down). Even with the doors and windows left open throughout the day and night it was absolutely pointless.
Now the shower/wet room/bathroom. The toilet has a dirty, big crack on the seat, about where your own crack would sit. Eww! Yuck! Then there's the shower. Because the floor of the shower is flush and no actual recess, so it's all one floor space. The water isn't drawn toward the drain; the run-off just fills the room. It's like standing in the middle of a lake! Drying yourself off in the room is, pathetic and impossible. Now I know what the chair is for, it's your life raft.
What happened to the couch in the picture? A reason I book my rooms is separate seating but haven't had one in all three stays!
There is very little to redeem the room itself just wish I had acted sooner and asked for another room, but I had plans from the moment I arrived for my short stay and thought I could handle the briefness. Wrong! So Bad!
I was informed of the noise, but, duh, it's a pub. That was the least of my issues, not even a problem.
This was my third and final stay with the Bayview. This stay broke me; I will seek other accommodation my next stay on the Peninsula no matter how convenient the location.
- Dennis (4/5): Dissapointing - good location.
Cheap. Noisy main hotel air conditions outside room window
- Bertrand (9/5): -
- Geoff (8/5): - Great shower and toilet facilities, staff excellent good location close to water and rail station.👌 Facilities had been v good for the price, but due to previous idiots who have stayed, they have stolen tv remote, and damaged doors fridge etc but still a good stay.
- Robert (7/5): Convenient albeit a bit tired looking. - It’s very convenient. Central to everything ie cafes, 2nd hand shops, supermarket, Link n Pin etc. No real noise heard which made sleeping a lot easier. Upstairs can be a different matter. Looking a little tired. The locks on the door aren’t as smooth as they once were. There was a hole in wall to the left of the bed. We could’ve done w/a duvet as it was a little cold. Bathroom floor was a little wet; maybe a plumbing issue:
- King (9/5): Great staff, friendly environment. Have used the accommodation in the past. Cost effective . - Great location. A bedside lamp for reading would be nice Central to our needs.
- Johnson (10/5): -
- Michelle (6/5): - It's tricky to rate, given it's a basic low priced hotel and I'm glad that places like this still exist. There are no remote controls for the tv which is weird. A bedside table and lamp would be good. It's noisy, the security is questionable, locals are colourful. But you get what you pay for. If you're a whinger, it's not for you. If you just want a comfortable bed, clean sheets and privacy, it's fine. For the price, it was ok.

- Sierra (7/5): Not bad for the price - Great location, staff are friendly and accommodating The rooms and bathrooms really need a clean. Showerhead kept falling down. Window in bedroom did not lock.
- Harris (9/5): Nice overnight stay - Friendly staff, great location and good value for money.
- Dion (8/5): - Beds were comfy.

- 5e93acf09430736931c3c837b2de0053 (7/5): The location is convenient, just be a bit wary of the neighbourhood. - The location was very convenient as it was within easy walking distance from the train station and Coles and Woolworths. The bed was also comfortable. The hotel is located in a bit of a rough neighbourhood. I am a young woman travelling by myself, and my friends who live nearby warned me not to go outside at night. The hotel is on the second storey of a pub, and it was a bit rowdy outside at night time. But I was safe, and the room was comfortable.

- Milanovic (2/5): - The location The rude staff and it was dirty
- Nick Tayloe (8/5): - Room only. Cleanliness of communal bathrooms. Good to have a sink in room though.
TV had no remote so reported to bar staff as round 5.30pm.
They offered to swap rooms for me but had laptop with me so wasn't too concerned. Nothig major but no waste bin or microwave in room
- Linda (10/5): -
- Alexander (7/5): -
- Jane (5/5): Fair price for an overnight stay - It suited an adult family of four needing a place to break a road trip. Location was only 15 minutes off the highway. Room price was fair. It is attached to a pub so it made it easy to get a meal and it was close to the Boulevarde for a morning walk. Bathroom and bedding were clean and fresh. Balcony off the room and under the beds were very dirty. Hard to find the reception near the bar. Car park off the rooms was pretty uncared for and dodgy.
- Jesse (8/5): -
- Wen Long Piao (3/5): -
- James (6/5): Adequate - Apart from the door not locking, showers dripped, and blinds not closing, all good See above
- Libby (4/5): Was ok for budget accomodation but still dangerous stairs and electrical. Had trouble sleeping due to a lot of light in - Close to everything, inside pub was nice, nice by the water. Building is lovely but needs an update/paint/maintenance. Noisy, back steps felt dangerous, toilet flush consistently flowing - needs a lot of maintenance, no bedside tables to put phone on, no usb points, item in freezer from previous tenant, tv remote didn’t work even after batteries replaced, carpet felt dirty and looked in poor condition. No air conditioning, locals fighting and screaming at 2am (went for about 15 min), no fish cloths to wipe things down or to wash up. Street lights brighten up the room like it’s daytime, rooms smelled musty, no plates or cutlery, no toaster, no table to put your coffee on or chair. Power points located both sides of single sink which had to balance the jug to boil. OHS issue - very dangerous. Microwave at floor level. We were moved to upgraded room but the sheets didn’t fit bed. Slight improvement on first queen room.
- Mark (6/5): -
- French (6/5): -
- Heimann (1/5): I would not book it again. - No aircons in the room. Noisy and hot. Can't leave the window open because other guests can easily climb in. No fly screens, hence mosquito problem.
- Andrew (9/5): Met our needs perfectly -
- Melissa (4/5): -
- Robyn (6/5): I loved being in Woy Woy & this being my first stay the Bayview was a dice roll. - Proximity to amenities .
Classic Original old Australian Hotel ..
Lovely clean linen .
Very comfy bed.
Fridge in room a bonus .
Value for $’s My room was as hot as a sauna even with fan (no aircon) West facing .. no awning on window .
No screens on window so no airflow & could not cool the room down. I spent the whole afternoon /overnight sweating as a result .
Festy smell in room (Damp ???)
Could not close door without it slamming ..
- Liu (4/5): Pros and cons before you say yes - Good location, it's close to the public transport.
Friendly staff and helpful. No rubbish bin, no AC, and no remote for the TV. At night, there were many roaches😭
- Damon (8/5): - AC would be good
- Bradford (6/5): Enjoyable and pleasant. -
- Jess (6/5): Tried - Near the water
Staff were Nice abd friendly are the pillows had mould on them or dirt that looks like from the previous customer or were dont clean right and when they're opened up the rooms it smelled like mildew.
other customers being so loud when we're trying to sleep people walking in up and down the hallway being loud
and you could hear the pub customers from outside our room you thinking I would might be a little bit quiet when you're trying to sleep. Hear them from our room
the ladies toilets were left in disgusting and weren't cleaned until the next morning and they ran out of toilet paper so they wasn't putting into the next morning.
Need water floor sign when you come out the shower because that floor is so slippery
needs more customer parking for the hotel because the staff were parking in there and customers that we're using the pub parking in there so customers that paid for the hotel couldn't use the park.
Room had a wet smell to them.
Mabye need to put ac in
was missing the TV remote in in our room the jug heat plate was broken off inside when put water in it and water turn brown.
Other customers need to have respect for hotel customers why they are trying to sleep.
Dont fair on the hotel customers all u can hear it music, pub customers for they rooms.

- Mark (6/5): -
- Kathleen (7/5): -
- Elizabeth (8/5): - The lift was great
- Melanie (3/5): Not a very pleasant stay…. - Location
Restaurant & bar Very noisy - party in a unit beside us which lasted from 1 am to 5 am on a Thursday night. Room smelt like stale cigarette smoke. Rubbish on balcony from previous guests. Bathroom pipes leaking & causing bathroom floor to continuously flood. Bathroom floor was always wet with pools of water. Door lock was dodgy & difficult to lock.

- Emma (9/5): - Excellent location, nice staff, good food and nice views .
- Robert (5/5): -
- Smith (5/5): -
- Lee (8/5): Really enjoyable! Would definitely stay again! - Location could not be better! Walk across the road from the railway station and the pub is right there. Staff were all fantastic and very accommodating. The only thing the tiles in showers once were very slippery and no hand rail up the stairs from toilets to showers...a tad dangerous!
