Mielpopscracks (10/5): Tranquil Rice Paddies and Heartfelt Hospitality - I was looking for a place to enjoy the rice paddies, the sunsets, and the soothing sounds of nature, and this place exceeded all my expectations. The staff, and the owner, Rogier, were so kind and made me feel completely at home. I was even invited to their employee New Year party! The breakfast was outstanding, and the on-site restaurant is top quality. I highly recommend this place—thank you, Rogier, and your team for a truly wonderful experience. Nothing!

Rose (10/5): Beautiful accommodation in a semi-rural setting. - This is a peaceful hotel just outside the town of Nan. Watching the sun set over the rice fields in the foreground, was sublime. The restaurant serves interesting and creative food and has a decent wine list. The staff are warm and welcoming and very helpful in suggesting options for touring the district. We loved our room, which had unobstructed views across the rice fields to Nan in the background. Would be very happy to return.
Francis (9/5): Relaxed stay in a lovely tropical garden East of Chiang Mai - Located just outside Nan in a beautiful garden with swimming pool (alas didn't have time to experience it!) with lots of interesting plants and a lovely view over the padi fields below. Each room is a separate wooden chalet with veranda. The air-conditioning unit worked well though switching it on plus the power outlets for charging devices needed some ingenuity. Nice shower and shampoo products. Friendly, attentive staff. Food was good made with care and attention. Excellent breakfast. On learning that one of us had a dietary intolerance they made a special loaf for us for breakfast! Useful advice on places nearby to visit, including an organic farm. Very good place from which to explore the surrounding mountains and valleys. No room safe. Mosquito nets are provided over the bed but we found them somewhat claustrophobic and were more comfortable without. It was easy to mistake your chalet--perhaps the room number at the bottom of the access steps would be better than on the verandah.

Helmut (8/5): Nice, but a bit overpriced - The location above the rice fields is nice. Outside of the city. We received a good instruction how to find the resort. Staff is friendly but a bit formal. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace. The shower was very good. Also nice to jump in the pool after excursions to the city. I think the price is too high for what you get. The room is very full, not a lot of space around the bed. The lights did not always work. A bit noisy because directly at the street. Seats on the terrace could be more comfortable. The restaurant could use more spices to prepare their food.

SLG (10/5): A Hidden Gem in Rural Nan - We stayed at the Nan Seasons Boutique Resort in October which is wonderfully run and owned by Roger and Kas. The setting is stunning, over looking paddy fields with mountains in the background. Admiring the sunset colours at the viewpoints was definitely one of our highlights. Our lodge was immaculately and tastefully furnished incorporating features of local design, as good if not better than any 5* hotel. It is their labour of love and it shows the attention to detail with "nothing is too much" attitude. We would highly recommend the resort and thank you very much Roger and Kas for an amazing stay. P.S. ask them how they set up the resort as the story is enlightening.

Finbarr (9/5): Wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay in Nan- Roger and Cass are the best! - Roger and Cass are exceptional and made our stay very special. The resort is peaceful, spacious and serene. The rooms are gorgeous- we had a sunset villa with a living area and terrace with a lovely view. The food is delicious and the menu extensive and varied. Breakfast is particularly good. Worth every penny and a great experience. Note- we stayed during the heavy flooding that hit Nan so we were unable to do anything but still had a great time and were looked after so well. Nothing!

Serious mosquito problem. The food was not great and the rooms were too small. It is little out of the way, but it is a decent place to stay.

Very quiet and private with spacious verandah where we spent most of our time relaxing and planning onward travel. We were able to walk to the local temple also famous for its views. Easy to get a grab to do other sightseeing. The food was delicious and we had the most amazing langostines. Staff were very attentive at mealtimes. The hot water in the shower was not hot and did not maintain an even temperature. This was mentioned in a previous review and clearly is still a problem. The nights and mornings are cool and a hot shower is a must especially for this price point. Food on the menu was not always available. Staff could be hard to find outside mealtimes. The pool was plastic rather than tiled which was surprising again for this price point. Half the wardrobe was taken by paraphernalia that was not required so you can’t put your clothes in.

The staff was super friendly and helpful. Renting a scooter was fairly priced. Gaeng Hung Lay for breakfast was the bomb. Not a negative, but you do need some transportation to get you into town. Car or scooter.

Michael (9/5): Superb - On arriving we were asked if we would like to upgrade for a small extra charge and so glad we did . Our lodge was amazing, so beautiful with living room , big bedroom and bathroom . A wonderful outside space with probably the most amazing views ever . I fell in love with this area of Nan . My only issue was the water temperature in the shower which could not stay constant . I did speak to the owner who said it was fixed , but unfortunately the problem still existed.

Frederick (10/5): Perfect stay in a wonderful location. - The Nan Seasons is set in a fabulous location. We had a Mountain View Villa with superb views over the rice fields to the mountains for our 2- night stay to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The resort is very well maintained, and set in a "back to nature" environment, with trees, shrub and plants providing and idyllic home for hundred of butterflies of various species. The restaurant food quality and choice was fantastic and we enjoyed breakfast , lunch and dinner at the resort! All superb! The staff are really excellent, and they genuinely care about giving the guests the best possible experience. Nothing is too much trouble. Without doubt , one of our best short-stay experiences ever. We shall return!! Nothing..everything was perfect.

Robert (3/5): We no recommend this resort - The calme Skin burned by the pool After seeing good reviews on this hotel I decided to stay at Nan Saison Boutique Resort When we arrived we were well received They showed us the bungalow very quickly, especially since I was expecting a slightly more pleasant view. The rice fields aren't not nice it's not the season I think. Finally we decide to go eat there. Nothing special. Fairly average apart from the price which is high. We offer you lots of bottles of wine that are not even stored in a cellar, especially in Thailand with the heat. Eat in Nan there are very good restaurants except that if you have you own transport the resort is isolated. We spent the first night in this 2 bedroom wooden bungalow. I was a little surprised that there is no partition at the top of the walls, so we hear everything that happens in the living room and the other bedroom!! the next day, my 2 children decided to go swimming in the pool, and that's where the problems started after playing for an hour, they both had burns on their bodies! Due to the high level of the chemical product surely Chlorine I know what I'm talking about, I take care of swimming pools in Thailand, They could have warned us at least especially that the next day, when I reported it to the receptionist, he told me clearly and confirmed said that they had treated the pool the day before with a chlorine and that it was normal and that it would dissipate!! And finally on the day of my departure, when we woke up, we wanted to take a shower and surprise no water flowing from the tap. We heard because I know Thailand. And that can happen, but hey we should leave and I called reception who told me they didn't know when the power was going to come back. It’s still unfortunate in a hotel where I spent more than 500 euro for two nights that they don’t have a backup generator. In fact after 2 hours of waiting we left without washing!! I'm not used to complaining, because I also work in tourism in Thailand.

Tasnawat (10/5): A hidden gem in Nan province. - Our 2-bedroom villa is very spacious, well maintained and nicely decorated with local materials and art pieces. You can feel that you are actually in Nan. Breakfast is extraordinary with very appetizing pre-order sets and noble fresh smoothies. I sure will stay here if I visit Nan again. The location is a bit off if you don't have a car but it is offset by the rice paddy field in the back yard. They said it is even nicer during Sep-Oct.
Phakanadh (10/5): Will stay there again! - Everything. It was my second time staying there. The resort isn't far from Nan's centre but it's full of trees and plants - very peaceful. The wooden walls in the room, the lobby, and the breakfast area make you feel very cosy. The service from the owner and staff was over the top. They made sure that you had a great time there.

Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed in the Sunset Villa, which was worth booking for the view alone! Beyond that, we had a fantastic stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. My partner and I were planning to take GreenBus Thailand to Lampang after Nan, but all the seats booked up a couple of days beforehand. A staff member helped us the day before to book a private transfer to Lampang with some sightseeing in Phayao for a very reasonable price, for which we are very grateful. Of the eight accommodations we stayed at in Thailand, the breakfast at Nan Seasons was the best (beautiful presentation and absolutely delicious), and the restaurant is excellent for dinner as well. The whole setting of the resort is beautiful as well. We used Grab a fair bit in Thailand, and it was difficult to secure bookings via Grab to come out to the resort to pick us up and on one occasion to come back to the resort from a reasonably busy area. This is understandable though given the location of the resort is a little outside of the centre of town, and perhaps Grab is not as well-established in Nan. That said, the staff at the resort were very helpful in offering to arrange taxi's / private transfers into town for us though, so options were available. Just something to be aware of, and not something that would stop us from booking again in this beautiful resort and location.

Ian (6/5): Confused with the high scores - This hotel is all about the location. If you want remoteness and enjoy living with the elements then this is for you. it’s worth noting that there really is only two bungalows with clear unobstructed views. My mountain view bungalow was half obstructed by another bungalow in front. the bungalow itself is beautifully laid out inside. Now to the downside. I am somewhat perplexed by the high ratings. I can only speak in my experience and hopefully help others make a choice. The first issue that arose was the temperature of my bungalow. It was unbearably hot inside. With the aircon on full mode, 18° and are standing fan. It wasn’t until nightfall when I stop feeling perspiration on my neck. it was a very hot day, however for this price range and quality of hotel relaxing in a bungalow for over four hours, waiting for it to cool down. I find unacceptable at this price range. I do want to be open-minded about this issue. It is a bungalow, therefore had numerous gaps in the woodwork causing the hot air inside which, therefore also invited some outside friends. If you have no issues with sharing your room with geckos, then you’ll be fine. Wasn’t impressed with the nightly ant infestation in the bathroom sink either. Is this part of the bungalow experience? Secondly, a privacy issue that needs to be fixed. The bungalows are designed in a way where you can lay on your bed and admire the view in front of you. What I did not want to see was a strangers/hotel staff face looking at me seeking my attention from the balcony. I highly recommend the hotel implement a knock on the side of the bungalow before revealing yourself to the guest, maybe installing a buzzer or phone within the bungalow to alert the guest somebody will be coming. I found this encounter far too uncomfortable.
Nattarika (9/5): Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Nan Season Boutique. Highly recommended if you travel by a car or bike. - We loved the view and peaceful the surrounding. The workmanship and general wood working of the bungalow was fantastic. We was thrilled when we arrived the property as the view and decoration are outstanding. The whole setting was beautiful and clean. The staff, named Ten, was very attentive and friendly. The owners were nice. The food was overpriced and average quality. Staff entered our room after we checked in to place an information pamphlet on the table when we were there which we found as an invasion of our privacy. We were woken up by the gardener who was sweeping the pathway near outside of Bungalow, we wouldn’t mind if we were not tired and didn’t have many flights before we got there as we planned to have a sleep in.

The bungalows are very well appointed and very tastefully decorated. The staff are extremely welcoming. Ten helped us to organise our road trip to Bo Klua to travel along the floating road. The food at the restaurant was very good and the breakfast was excellent thanks to the chef A who was a delight! Nothing
