Guest Reviews
- Tyler (10/5): Was beautiful and the staff were lovely - The entire lodge was great -
- Katrina (6/5): - Beautiful location and pool. The restaurant Lulu’s was supposed to be open till 10pm but last drinks were called at 9pm. The fires weren’t on even though we asked for them to be on. We couldn’t charge anything to the room. Coffee was terrible.
- Darryl (7/5): -
- Natalie (10/5): -
- Sheree (10/5): Beautiful mini family holiday destination! - The natural surroundings, gardens, pool, facility games, the creek flowing around the property and restaurant ticked a lot of boxes for us as a family. It was perfect for a mini holiday. It is in a great location as the Jamberoo Slide park and National parks are only a short drive away. No breakfast (only coffee) during the time we were there, but we just ordered a take away pizza the night before from the restaurant - because they communicated this clearly the night before.
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Jenni (10/5): - Highly recommend. Beautiful property and surrounds. Staff super helpful and friendly. Loved our stay and highly recommend for a weekend away
- Baumeister (8/5): Simply a good place to stay. - The staff were great and enjoyed the heated pool. The state of the tennis court and basketball ring. Also the pool table needed work. Would have been great if those facilities were fixed. No big deal as we enjoyed the pool.
- Samantha (9/5): -
- Race (8/5): Digital detox with the kids. Made great friends while there. Rested and lovely decor. Really enjoyed the restaurant and - Clean. Older but well cared for lovely location with plenty of space to hideaway. No cutlery, microwave in room.
- Ana (10/5): Facilities like a holiday park but with an upmarket vibe - Lots to do we travelled with kids.
We all loved the pool and spa, games room and tennis court.
Nice and close to Jamberoo town and action park. Would have loved breakfast in the restaurant
- Jenny (7/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): Fabulous 👌 - Everything was great, nice little spot close to extra activities to do around the area. Unfortunately the beds themselves were a little to rock hard for my liking.
- Durham (2/5): Lovely spot and friendly staff but kinds did not fully acknowledge the situation nor at all open to a refund. - Great location, lovely area.
Staff attendant and helpful. Initially moved from the first room which felt like it was due for complete renovation. Pieces falling off walls etc…
Next room - Unfortunately was seriously bitten by bedbugs or fleas. Staff did their best to find the bugs but could not and unfortunately invalidated the condition and suffering. The trip was ruined as was the rest of our vacation due to medical needs. Had to get on antibiotics to get normal.
Moved to a third room in 2 days, all of which we did ourselves, no help.
Thanks!
Completely ruined the trip.
- Meghann (9/5): -
- Leah (10/5): -
- Shenel (8/5): -
- Linda (10/5): We had a lovely time away and perfect weather - The pool and restaurant and the rooms quite comfortable Margaritas were coming out without salt on the rim which makes a huge difference to the cocktail . No breakfast menu. I think you could add a few more things other than your banana bread and cheese toastie.
- Daniella (8/5): Loved the property, small tweaks here and there would make guest user experience even better but overall, would absolute - The facilities were great, pool was awesome, Lulus is lovely and the grounds everywhere are well maintained and very nice. The leaking outdoor air con units… everyday there would be a puddle at the back door which we step in and then walk the water through the unit which we didn’t like doing. Ended up putting a towel on the floor to dry out the shoes before walking in but this could definitely be fixed to improve guest experience.
The lack of facilities in the room, the inclusion of a simple toaster would be great as breakfast at lulus was either sold out, options very limited or too expensive to feed an entire family.
Bins weren’t emptied daily and 1 tiny bin in a twin share room was not enough and then the lack of common bins meant we couldn’t even empty the small room bin into anything whenever we needed too. More Common bins around the grounds should be included.
Missed opportunity not serving a cafe style breakfast at lulus, our entire family booking of 12 people would have utilised this if the option was available - especially during peak season.
- Philip (9/5): -
- Luke (8/5): - I liked the friendly stage and the facilities and its great for kids
- Rene (7/5): Other then the negative things I have already told you about the rest of our stay was wonderful - The staff and the grounds were fantastic the restaurant was great The rooms are very dark and the cupboard that you have the kettle in is extremely dark with no power point i had to plug it near the bed and i think you need to cater better for breakfast as they kept running out of food
- Rebecca (7/5): Lovely but needs TLC - Close toJamberoo. Green surrounds. Lovely pool. A bit run down. Whole place needs TLC. Dirty grout in bathrooms. Chips in cupboards.
- Desire (7/5): - Location, decor, restaurant, staff all fantastic Room dirty, broken shower head, mould, broken screen door and flyscreen, dirty aircon
- Liu (6/5): -
- Stuart (6/5): - Grounds lovely, staff attentive and nice. The rooms are tired and dirty especially the bathrooms. The shower is terrible.
- Dewy (7/5): I love the food from the restaurant the most, it was so amazing so we went there 2 nights in the row - I love the area, the outdoor set up is really beautiful The room is quite dark, no light in front of the bathroom where we dress up & make up. I had to open the door to get the light in. It was really difficult trying to do make up.
- Santana (8/5): Relaxing and enjoyable scenery - Landscapes, quiet, pet friendly, good food, nice staff No breakfast on site, dated bathroom with shower issues, not reliable WiFi, no room service for 2 days
- Sid (5/5): Could be better - The location was good The property lacks maintenance.
No clear indication of the closing time of the restaurant. The restaurant menu lacks stock or the staff doesn't want to prepare food by the end of the day (when trying to order at 8pm).
The rooms lack maintenance.
Bathrooms water tap needs maintenance.
The pool lacks cleaning
The hot tub needs a good clean.
Pool table almost end of life.
The amount being charged per day doesnt match the service received/quality of the lodge.
- K (10/5): Loved the location, facilities and room layout was great - Loved the quirky layout and grounds so much space and facilities for the kids. Food and drinks were great in the restaurant too Spa needs to be bigger its very small
- Hashya (9/5): -
- SHIJUN (7/5): -
- Rachelle (10/5): Book it, you wont regret it - Pool was warm, staff extremely friendly and helpful, food was good at LuLus. Plenty of parking.
- Bernard (6/5): Reasonable - Quiet Tired
- Kerrie (8/5): Gorgeous bush boutique stay shhhh - Amazing venue location, quirky arty design impeccable taste, restaurant and bar on site. Feel like group of people make beautiful memories here everything on site.. Like to come back peak summer for pool and garden bar. Gorgeous surroundings. Liked pin for room save keys cards lost looking. Comfy beds. Bush setting amazing relaxing. Sadly our shower leaked badly, I feel like its an ongoing issue looking at other reviews and no response as weekend in rural area..
Incomplete room service had to ask for things but staff were friendly and helpful when I did..
- Jeannie (6/5): Good facilities for a short pleasant stay - Chose the accommodation for the location - close to nature and walking trails to waterfalls. Cups too small, no spoons
- Sarah (9/5): A beautiful and quiky escape in nature. Highly recommend. - The property is gorgeous inside and out. It had a wonderful feeling immediately. Very relaxed and I loved the decor / theme. Th bathrooms, however it was clear when I booked that these were not yet renovated. I appreciate that upfront. The sauna could be cleaned out daily it collects leaves.
- Amanda (5/5): Nice relaxing stay. Great venue and pretty surrounds. - The grounds are beautiful.
We love the swimming pool, sauna and the tennis court but it’s a shame the fencing around the court no longer exists (lots of lost balls).
Lou’s restaurant is wonderful and the staff there are exceptional.
A nice update to the room decor from previous trip which was lovely. Mismatched plastic hangers not so glamorous. The internet was non existent.
The room and bathroom needed a good clean which was a similar issue on our previous visit. Couldn’t walk around in bare feet without feet becoming very dirty.
There is no plug for the kettle and had to use on the floor at the side of the bed.
Would like to see better breakfast options other than a breakfast basket delivered to the room. Which was too expensive. The restaurant would be a great place to serve breakfast.
- Gift (6/5): It’s a beautiful lodge but I believe it is in need of some TLC. - The greenery around the lodge. The restaurant had a great ambience with tasty food. The gym. Television wasn’t working spoke to staff promised to fix it up however they never did. Lost access to water on one of the days. Whilst the food was nice at the restaurant it was a bit pricey. Code to our door also stopped working on one of the days as well. They had bicycles to ride however the tyre of the bicycles needed some air pumping. Had an arcade room which had some games however the space in it self was extremely dusty and needed a bit of cleaning you could clearly see the dirt on the pool table.
- Chloe (4/5): Nothing to do - Lulus Rooms and hygiene
- Adam (6/5): Nicer on - The room was not clean enough and needs to be refreshed. There was only one seating option for four people, which meant we had to bring heavy chairs from the balcony. The room was not comfortable for a family of four. Our family, including the children, enjoys outdoor facilities. However, it would be nice if the hotel provided tennis balls.
- Filip (6/5): Bittersweet experience - We stayed at the lodge from January 2nd to 5th, hoping to wrap up our summer holidays on a high note before returning to Sydney. However, our experience was a mix of highs and lows, leaving us with mixed feelings. Our first visit to the lodge was during the COVID pandemic, and we were instantly charmed by the property. The picturesque champagne garden and the lush natural flora gave the place a distinctly European vibe that we adored. We enjoyed a lovely lunch and were eager to return, this time as hotel guests, to fully immerse ourselves in the beauty of the location. When we checked in on January 2nd, the receptionist was warm and welcoming, and we were delighted to receive a room upgrade. Room 205, located upstairs with a balcony overlooking the large swimming pool, seemed like the perfect start to our stay. Unfortunately, our excitement quickly faded upon entering the room. Also, we had dinner at the lodge’s restaurant, Lulu’s. The food was delicious, and the experience was enjoyable, but it was one of the few highlights of an otherwise disappointing stay. The room layout felt poorly planned. For example, the kettle had to be boiled on the floor because there was no designated spot for it. While cups for tea and coffee were provided, there were no spoons. The mini fridge was awkwardly placed inside a wardrobe not designed to hold it, causing heat to build up inside. The bed was comfortable, but I was surprised to find that the mattress and pillows lacked protectors, a basic hygiene standard for any hotel. The bathroom was even more disappointing. Dirty footprints were visible in the shower, and the floor was covered in hair and sand. The vanity was rusty and outdated, the shower was mouldy, and there was only one soap bottle that had to be moved between the shower and sink. The sink tap was loose and leaking. Additionally, the absence of a room phone meant that any requests for assistance required a trip to the reception desk, which was inconvenient, especially for guests with mobility issues. The lodge’s outdoor amenities had potential but fell short. The free bikes provided were rusty and in poor condition. The playroom, though a fun idea, was chaotic, pool table balls were scattered on the floor, and ping pong rackets were damaged. While I understand it was school holidays, the lack of supervision led to the space being left in disarray. The swimming pool area looked inviting, but the water was murky and filled with tree debris, indicating a lack of proper maintenance. Housekeeping was another letdown. On our second day, we expected our room to be cleaned and refreshed. After waiting most of the day and enquiring at reception, we were assured the room would be cleaned. While relaxing on the balcony, we noticed the cleaner had rolled up our used pool towels and reused them as bath towels. The bed was hastily made, and the entire cleaning process took about three minutes. To make matters worse, the toilet paper wasn’t replenished, leaving us without any for two days...
- Sarah (9/5): Loved it - we would visit again. - The staff were very helpful and friendly. My son got sick while we were there and helped facilitate a doctor appointment. The room was a little dirty when I checked in and they also facilitated extra cleaning. The surrounds are incredible - the art was fantastic and the activities abundant. There was a summer holidays kids activities schedule where kids made friendship bracelets and the food was fab - as were the ccktails. More towels (they ran out when I was there) and a dustpan broom in the rooms as rooms weren't cleaned daily.
- Kelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chloe (5/5): Passable - The decor was different and funky, different to where I would normally stay. I liked that there was a restaurant and bar on site too. Cocktails and dessert and were delicious. The room was musty and the dining table had no chairs. The shower was full of mould and so went to Woolworths and got mould away which sorted the problem pretty easily. Just not something I should’ve had to do…
- Jeff (2/5): Not happy - The rooms were not clean the shower was mouldy stains on curtains there were no where safe to plug in the kettle the rooms design is something out of 70s over priced for what you get I would not stay again
- Raija (9/5): Superb -
- Aaron (8/5): Very good - Love the location, the pool, Lulu's and FInns and the staff. The muddiness around the pool, decking and spa. Some simple fixes could drastically improve this. 1. Install more stone steps and ensure they are more elevated. The stone between the pool and spa is too low and become a puddle. If it was higher, the deck and spa would stay a lot cleaner I reckon. 2. More towels. We were 3 guests (2 adults and a toddler, yet only had 2 towels in the room) 3. Improve soundproofing of the rooms. Excited / noisy kids impacted our sleep on both nights.
- Edy (7/5): Pleasant. - Pool area and staff Sink tap loose with a leak & wasps nests everywhere outside room on the balcony
Beds were made after night 1 but towels werent changed?
Needs more food variety for kids at the restaurant
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shannen (5/5): Passable -
- Marni (9/5): Tranquility and peace with great food and atmosphere. - The facilities included pool, spa, sauna, games room and gym. We loved everything and it kept the kids happy and entertained. We loved everything, only small issue would be that it was public holidays so we understood there was less staff available, although we would have liked to be able to empty our room rubbish bins and somewhere to put our dirty towels.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Brent your customer service was out of this world, thank you.
The lodge was such a cool experience, we wished we were staying longer. Thanks for having us :)
- Kim (9/5): Fabulous fairy tale venue for a vacation / wedding - Pretty much everything, the environment was very beautiful, the staff were very friendly and food was exquisite. More of a wishlist but would've been 110% if the rooms had a kitchenette and perhaps a lift to the second floor.
- Rebecca (9/5): You MUST visit this gorgeous hotel! - The ambience is unique, charming and full of character! The gardens are beautiful and the atmosphere takes you to the Hamptons!! Large pool, outdoor hot tub, gym, sauna and games room - what more does a family or couple need?! Exceptional location in the rolling green landscape. Lost one point for the food. It is average but everything else makes up for it.
- Anita (9/5): Clean , tidy, well communicated staff easy to get into and out of, - So tidy Small issue no pressure with the shower at night but it was back in the morning
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Kasia (9/5): A hidden gem of awesomeness. - The location, restaurant, bar and breakfast basket were phenomenal. The staff were extremely attentive. The bathrooms could use an upgrade and just a small table inside to place the kettle on would make it a bit more functional.
- Anna (9/5): Superb - This place is so beautiful and relaxing. Would like to stay for many days. Will definitely return.
- Silvana (10/5): Fantastic stay and will definitely come back. - Location, gardens, staff are great, food delicious Some parts of the room needed more attention eg our coffee cups were stuck to our plates had to run them under hot water.
- Loren (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (8/5): Very good -
- Nicole (10/5): Amazing stay. - We had an amazing stay at The Lodge. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent service. There were so many facilities that kept us entertained and the restaurant was beyond our expectations. The meals were generous and delicious. We will be back.
- Nancy (10/5): - Absolutely loved our stay here, the accommodation is clean and well maintained and the level of service is next to none, the hotel manager Brent was such a beautiful person and a pleasure to deal with. Will definitely be back in the summer to swim in that pool and ride the bikes. This place is such a vibe and we are hige fans. Thank you for the marshmallows and for making our stay memorable 💕
- Georgie (8/5): Amazing location and accommodating and helpful staff! - We LOVED The Lodge! The grounds are fantastic! Beautiful surroundings and so much to do with kids. (Would have loved the pool to be heated though as it’s freezing so kids can’t last too long!) We had a great experience at Lulus restaurant too and highly recommend eating there and trying their delicious cocktails! So unfortunate there are some negative reviews about the rooms before talking to staff or taking the complaints to reception. If you had your know The Lodge is in the stages of being renovated with rooms being last on the list. We too had a few complaints with our room too but when we spoke to reception they were so accommodating and helpful and resolved any issues they could. The customer service was fantastic!
- Julian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shayla (8/5): Great family/friends getaway - The property is beautiful. Restaurant trendy. Food sensational. Pool was large and lots of space for the kids to play!
Rooms basic although all you need.
Great for a getaway with friends and family. Everything was good!
Just pack your mosquito repellent!
- Carlie (9/5): Would highly recommend a weekend here, particularly great for a family who doesn’t want to leave the property! - Beautiful location and property, everything you need onsite, lovely staff Bathrooms could use an update (I think it’s part of the plan), water had to be turned off a few times (excusable, they had a leak) and the fridge needed to use a better power point as it was easily turned off
- Mellissa (7/5): Good -
- Vikashni (1/5): Wasted so much money on the such a filty place to stay - Spa Small pathetic rooms, no cleanup broken furniture
- John (9/5): If you want to stay in the Rainforest, stay here! Rental car is a must. - This lodge is really designed for a Wedding Venue, and we were there during the week so it was really empty. We wanted to stay in the Rainforest and this certainly met that criteria. We were able to visit a few National Parks nearby which made this place very convenient. Lots of hiking and Free bikes were at The Lodge itself as the property is expansive. Great staff and the food was very good! It was very quite which was wonderful at night to hear the wildlife with the windows open. The room was very large, but for some reason it didn't have a table, desk or dresser. It had 1 chair. Most of our items had to be on the floor as did the coffee pot in the morning when I made coffee. A nice touch was the Breakfast basket I had delivered to the room at 8:00am. (small extra charge).
The resort had a nice pool and a Wooden Hot tub.... (I took advantage of the Hot tub.)
- Diane (9/5): Superb -
- Tavitorn (5/5): Passable -
- Bishop (10/5): Exceptional - Great location and great facilities, excellent meals in the restaurant. No extractor fan in the bathroom of the downstairs room, which meant bathroom stayed quite steamy and damp which has caused a lot of mold in the shower and between tiles. Upstairs room that had an extractor fan in the bathroom was fine.
- Shannon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Jack (8/5): Very good -
- Jason (7/5): Good -
- Jon (9/5): Absolutely amazing. Hidden gem - Beautiful location, great get away. Totally unexpected and blew us away! Can’t wait to go back
- Kylie (8/5): Lovely family stay in a little oasis - Lovely position, nice grounds and nice restaurant for dinner. Little oasis More breakfast options would be good even if it was simple buffet. Also need somewhere to dry the swimming costumes.
- Ben (7/5): Good - Location The room smelt a bit damp and mouldy
- Heather (7/5): Good - Location wasn’t the greatest, it’s quite difficult to see the signs on the side of an 80km road heading up hill. The resort itself was beautiful, restaurant was nice but a little pricey. The beds were rather firm but the rooms were quite spacey and clean. It’s quite a pretty resort, weddings would be beautiful there.
- Epaminondas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amy (7/5): Good - Did get to use it but the pool, spa and games room.
Looks very No blockout curtains in room, beds are firm and guests were being very loud after 10pm
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful serene place
- Hannah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ben (9/5): Superb -
- Gemma (7/5): Good - The staff were friendly, easy to find and pool was nice. The bathroom needed a good clean, it was very mouldy.
I also disliked that it was not stated there is absolutely no reception at this property. It would have been good for a heads up.
- April (7/5): Perfect for a family weekend away, looks like a beautiful place to get married. - Location, pool, activities (basketball/tennis/gym/pool table) restaurant, makes things so easy with kids and dog friendly was perfect! Good sized fridge and the gardens are stunning. Staff were just lovely. Noticed some comments online about the smell but it was an occasional waft, it’s a rural property so you’re gonna get it but definitely not worth reconsidering your stay over, the good far outweigh the bad here. The rooms really do need a table and chairs in them, there’s 2 chairs and a table on the balcony but it forces the other members of your family to sit on the floor or on beds to eat, not ideal but value for money so you weigh it up. Some cutlery would have been good too.
- William (8/5): Super kitschy, cool location with excellent facilities. - Super location and facilities. Loved that all the rooms overlooked the pool. The decor was awesome throughout all the parts of the Lodge. Very friendly staff across the board. Great grounds, really just wish we had more than one day (but thats on us). A couple of issues with the Restaurant whereby we tried to change our booking due to weather looking a bit inclement and being told initially it wouldnt be possible to change to inside. After asking again they said they could squeeze us in but restaurant was full. When we got there, it was very empty. We asked to move outside as the air con was blasting and terrace was also not busy. Food was great but our dessert came after more than an hour and we had to go enquire about it, think it was just missed. We were offered by staff if we wanted something else for free but I think these shoudl have just been comped. It didnt ruin our experience but given we were inhouse guests, Id suggest not telling people they are booked out only to turn up to a very empty restaurant.
- Varun (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (8/5): Road trip - Lovely resort although does need some work The room was very bare, maybe some table and chairs would be good
- Carly (10/5): Exceptional - The property really has all you need and the attention to detail with the gardens is amazing I was excited for the breakfast restaurant however It wasn’t available when we stayed
- Norling (9/5): Superb -
- Christine (5/5): It was the ok - The property was really nice Unfortunately it was not clean stained mattresses felt itchy in the bed bathroom was not clean
- Scott (4/5): Disappointing - Nice location The sewerage smell outside our room wasn’t nice, the wifi was hopeless , the breakfast basket was said to be enough to feed 2 when my 11 year old daughter ate it all and was still hungry. Beds weren’t comfy at all.
- Neil (4/5): Disappointing -
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thao (9/5): The lodge was relaxing, rejuvenating and restored our souls; simply a magical place 🥰 - The lodge was beautifully landscaped and each nook was inviting and relaxing.
We loved the pool, the restaurant food was delicious, the games room, free bikes, everything was magical. We are not used to staying in a one bedroom, one bathroom place for our family of 4. We found this place by accident after our other accommodation place cancelled on us last minute. We will stay in the suite next visit.
- Alexandr (10/5): Can’t wait to visit again! - Beautiful layout around the pool. Comfortable and very friendly staff
- Megan (8/5): Definitely coming back and will bring more of the tribe 😃 - Loved there was a restaurant on-site no need to leave for dinner after cocktails by the pool More information about onsite spa would have been good
