Guest Reviews
- Lisa (2/5): - Not a bad place, hotel door did not lock.
- Susan (8/5): - Na
- Kristin (4/5): - This is a 2 star motel. Nothing wrong with that if that's what you are expecting. Cheap, fine for a short one night stay late at night on a road trip.
- steven (6/5): - was OK.
- David (8/5): - It is an old tired motel. They do take decent care of it and our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels.
A bit noisy as it is close to the highway but you only hear it in the morning.
Not as quiet when we have someone staying above our room part of our stay. Ask for a room on the ground level with no one over you.
- Jerry (6/5): - Air conditioner was noisy and woke us up during the night. Hair dryer did not work (outlet problems). Room smelled stale.
Did like having a TV as I was able to watch my basketball game :)
- mark (10/5): - Clean room very quiet fresh towels. Beds was very hard.
- Sonia (8/5): - It was quiet. The room was clean and the stass was nice.
- Patrick (8/5): - No cleaning of room during two night stay
- john (10/5): - generally everything was good. i really appreciated being able to check out a day early
things need fixing - the door stuck; sometimes it didn't open well; the tub needs to drain quicker
- Sarah (6/5): - Easy on and off thruway. Very outdated. Room door didn’t close all the way. FOX news playing in dirty, stinky lobby. Nice plant in lobby. Otherwise…meh.
- peter (10/5): - Clean
- Jennifer (4/5): - Hotel staff was friendly when checking in. Room wasnt great at all, felt dirty and was very dated. Stains on the wall, literally spent enough time there to charge my phone and book a different hotel. Also when finding the hotel Roadway inn the name isnt actually on the building so made it difficult to figure out that it was the right hotel.
- Gail (8/5): Wedding trip - The room was clean and comfortable. Staff pleasant and not intrusive. Hotel is dstedand could use some updating but all in all comfortable and a great value. We wished they had coffee in the room. There was also not wifi.
- Carol (4/5): - Very clean
plumbing needs to be updated. Rusty heat radiators, AC loud and smells funny. Bathroom sink has something green .and smelly in overflow
TV, fridge, and microwave are fine
Bed is very comfortable
- Russell (6/5): Old and worn - Older property, few amenities, TV problems, over priced fur condition, clean but needing maintenance. No breakfast as advertised.
- Mollie (4/5): - Our room had
- Moua (4/5): - The bed is ok but the room was so hot. The AC didn’t seem to cool the room. You have to stand next to ac to feel the breeze. Also, there’s two doors in that room, one to the hall and one to outside of parking lot. This makes me felt uncomfortable, thinking someone might tried to come in from neither side of the doors.
- Mike (6/5): serviceable - Older property. Room was clean. Seemed to have a couple long term residents there
- Becky (4/5): 50th Anniversary Trip - Motel appeared ran down. Our TV didn’t work and there was no phone in room to call front desk. Halls were narrow and building was not connected to one with office. You needed to walk outside at night. Didn’t feel like a safe space to us.
- yudelka (8/5): - Limpio, pero las fotos que tienen no se parece en nada a lo que es,bueno solo fuimos a dormir
- Airial (10/5): - Friendly staff, clean & close to surrounding cities/towns
- Marcelo (10/5): - It was great
- David (8/5): No frills - The heater hummed loudly all night long. It also has broken buttons and is not adjustable. The room was okay. Power plug was on one side only. It was an okay stay. No frills
- Rosa (4/5): - Stayed onenight. It felt like a cheap motel. The room smelled musty.
- Penny (2/5): - I only stayed here because the hotel I originally booked was not open—closed for remodeling ( but took my reservation anyway). ALL other hotels within 59 miles were booked! Very old motel. Never updated. Note on the door in the lobby said “ no checks and no breakfast”. The concierge called me to ask when I would arrive—he was in a hurry to go home? The sheets were dirty and stained so we dropped the bed and slept on top of the blankets instead. Disgusting
- Lauri (4/5): - The photos on expedia were completely wrong. It showed by the water and breakfast. Neither were true. The hotel had a flag with the name on it, our room had not heat so they offered us a space heater with no money compensation. I was extremely disappointed in thr false advertising with the photos. Expedia should be responsible for that, it's false advertising and I way over paid for our stay.
- Linda (2/5): - There was nothing at all that we liked about the property. In our opinion, it should not be open for business. It was very cool that night and when my husband inquired about how to turn the heat on, he was informed there is no heat in the room. The old heat vents in the room were all rusted and the coils inside were missing. We couldn't wait to leave the place.
- Azmat (4/5): - Expected a more cleaner environment at that price.
- Chandra M (8/5): - Staff is friendly and helpful, and hotel is right off the highway which makes super convenient. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean. Bathroom was clean. Can’t complain, I enjoyed my stay.
- Nikola (2/5): - Old dirty
- Von (4/5): - This place needs to be updated! For the price I want it to be from the 90’s or 2010 not the 60’s. The carpet needs to be replaced. It’s old and needs more than a coat of paint.
- Donald (2/5): - Whenchecking in was told no a
- Verified traveler (4/5): It was the only game in town... - a very worn out property that has changed hands many time by the looks. A plastic banner is now on the front of the property. Paper thin bath towels, thin bed pillows (vs fluffy), no screens on windows, no coffeemaker. Definitely no frills. The pictures summarize the experience.

- Andrew (8/5): - I needed an affordable option on short notice and the Rodeway was all of that. Clean, functional, and walking distance to a brewery.
- Maria (8/5): - Easy access
- Andrew (8/5): - Nice Comfortable stay!
- Barbara (6/5): - Old and worn. Needs updating bad. Sheets were clean.
- Naila (2/5): - The room was cold.
- Ashirah (8/5): - At first glance the rooms look a little run down BUT because the walls are cement block (nicely painted, not bare) this place is quiet! I've never heard anything from adjacent rooms or even the highway nearby. Also a wonderful and safe walking trail just a few hundred yards from the motel, so a great place to stop with my dog who needs lots of exercise. The toilets flush really well, too, no plugging up. And it's family run. I'm happy to forgo something fancier to support a family run business.
- Michael (10/5): - Amazing
- Jennifer (8/5): - Basic, older, but clean. Beds were comfortable. Shower was nice and hot. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful, provided us with nearby dining options for breakfast. Easy access to highway/main roads and within short distance of the sites we were interested in visiting.
- Randi (2/5): - The heat did not work at all even tho it was cranked up. Both doors were broken. The back door has space between the bottom of the door and the floor so cold air was coming in. We had a 1 yr old. Spiderwebs and dirtiness around. Only good thing was unlimited hot water which pretty much kept me and the wife a little warmer. If I could get a refund, Tht would be great.
- Dietmar (4/5): - TV did not work. Chair was very instable. Refrigerator and fan in bathroom were very noisy
- Joe (6/5): - The managers or owners could take a little more pride in what they have. This place could be absolutely wonderful with a little more care.
- Dan Kathy (2/5): - Absolutely the very worst hotel that we have ever stayed at! Most rooms are what appears to be temp housing!
We were on the first floor and could actually hear conversations from the room above us....It was like they were in our room! No coffee in room. No table in room.
Could see outside due to gaps around the door.
Next time we are in town, we will bring a tent!
- Jolene (10/5): - It was your average motel experience
- Cole (10/5): - The woman working the front desk was very nice and accommodating! Great hotel for the price !
- Kathy (10/5): Good night’s stay - Not a high end hotel but totally adequate for us. The room was spacious with plenty of space for luggage. It was clean and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom had all the essentials and was clean. We had a good nights sleep and we’re very happy with the choice of lodging. Recommend.
- Cheryl (6/5): - This property is an older motel-style facility. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The furnishings need to be updated which is true of the entire motel. There were no amenities - no breakfast, no coffee service in the room, no cups, no ice bucket, very skimpy soaps and toiletries, and no extra towels. It was totally basic.
- Tiffany (8/5): - Nice 3day stay convenient right off Thruway friendly staff and dog friendly.
- Danny (8/5): - n/a
- Sean (8/5): - Easy and convenient. Very great staff.
- Sergio (8/5): - Good conditions in general at lower than average price. Good place to sleep for one or two nights for a longer trip. No breakfast or any ammenities.
- Matthew (6/5): - The walls are thick and soundproof; we did enjoy the quiet. The lobby was locked when we went to check out (we just left the key in a drop box) and there was no coffee or any of the other amenities you would normally expect. The facility is outdated.
- Sheila (8/5): - Just the basics. Dated, but clean.
- Mark (8/5): Pleasant Surprise - I was pleasantly surprised. I didnt expect much. No coffee maker in the room and no breakfast. I guess I was spoiled. They have done the best they can with an old place. Daily housekeeping was a nice surprise. New towels every day I was there. This place is inexpensive and I found the fob attached to the old motel key tag kinda funny. But it worked
- Scott (10/5): - Clean, quality bed
- Daniel (6/5): - Good for two nights. Clean. Quiet. Great beds.
- Suzanne (10/5): - This was our second stay and we enjoyed it. Our room was clean and well-appointed. We stayed over a weekend and the motel was quiet.
- MIchele (10/5): - It was easy to check in. Room was clean and parking was easy
- Verified traveler (6/5): - No water pressure
Could not take a shower. Sink fixture was very hard to turn on
- Linda (4/5): - Spot was shabby. Not updated. Fixtures in bathroom were stained. Saw a cockroach in bathroom. Dark and dingy place.
- Amy (6/5): - First and foremost, it was very clean and quiet. However, it needs a few updates ie it sink was rusted, My biggest issue is the pictures are misleading, there isn't a restaurant, good luck soaking in the tub.
- Wendy J (6/5): Good for a night. - The room was clean. No in room coffee. The air conditioner is a window type. Felt a little uncomfortable with that because of the filters - not always cleaned as often as they might. It was ok for a night.
- Sheila (8/5): - The property is definitely old and was never meant to be a 5 star but it was clean. It’s right off the NYS thruway so very convenient but no noise. Several restaurants nearby including a Dunkin. You’ll want the first floor if stairs are tough for you. I felt the beds were average although my husband slept like a baby.
- Brandy (8/5): - Slightly outdated but clean and affordable. Quiet and in a safe area. Our only real concern was that we had a room on the second floor and the external stairs are uneven and awkward to navigate. Plus, the wooden railing was damaged and splintered, so it was dangerous if you needed to hold on.
- Brian (6/5): - Served its purpose in a pinch. Bathroom fine. Good lock on door. clean. No frills. No coffee maker.
- William (6/5): - It was ok
- Michael (2/5): - AreA
- Judith (8/5): - They cleaned the room above at 7 am with way too much noise. The plan to sleep in was destroyed.
- Suzanne (10/5): - Pros: Reception went very well. The manager was friendly and helpful. Location is right off the I-90. We took a room on the 2nd floor in the back and it was very quiet. Room & bathroom were clean. Furniture was a bit dated but in good shape. Lots of drawers and electrical outlets were much appreciated. King bed was firm & really large with 4 pillows. Very good A/C although a tad loud. TV, WiFi, microwave & fridge all worked well. Room had a telephone, clock radio, iron & ironing board.Towels were plentiful. Very good shower. Excellent low-flow toilet. Not familiar with the brand (Project Source) but for design & functionality it was one of the best we have seen.
Cons: Room was on the small side. Age of the building itself. Some wear on the exterior. Could see a bit of daylight between the door and the frame. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan.
Overall a very good experience.
- kimberly (6/5): - Was good fir me but not wife ...
- Barry (4/5): - Wouldn't stay here again. Felt unsafe the entire time in the room.
- Tracy (10/5): - The staff was friendly and helpful.
- Michele (8/5): - The Manchester Inn is definitely old but the owners keep it very clean. The also provided a welcome bag with fruit, snacks and mints which was very nice. They do not provide breakfast or coffee but there is a Roy's diner, Dunkin, McDonalds and a pizza place right by it. For the price it was fine if you're just looking for a place to sleep.
- Mark (10/5): Perfect for an overnight break from a long trip - We stayed one-night as a break from a long drive to the Midwest. We arrived late at night and check-in was still fast and smooth and the desk staff person was friendly and cheerful. The room was clean, not fancy but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay, and the mattress was comfortable. The shower worked well, with good pressure. At check-in we were provided with small "goody bags" with fruit, granola bar, mints, and bottled water. The room rate was reasonable and we had a pleasant overnight stay---met our needs perfectly. The location is very convenient, right off the Thruway.
- Fred (6/5): - evrything was clean and staff was great.
rooms could use some updating.
- Carol (10/5): - Very nice owner. Comfortable lodging.
- Lynne (6/5): Old and cheap but friendly - Everything about this place says "cheap old motel." The bedding and carpet are old and cheap. The bathroom stuff (soap and shampoo) is as cheap as you can get. Even the other residents seemed questionable. However, the young man at the front desk was as friendly and helpful as could be, and this is the only place in the greater Rochester area that didn't jack up its rates over graduation weekend, for which we were grateful.
- Raymond (10/5): Or 55th Wedding Anniversary Trip - This is an older property and we were hesitant to check-in. However, we were pleasantly surprised when we got our room. The room was very clean and roomy. The hotel staff were very pleasant and courteous. This was a stop on our 55th Anniversary road trip and it was lovely.
- CHARMAINE (10/5): - No feed back
- Jessie (8/5): - I wish I’d received a receipt for my credit card payment. No tissues in the room. No physical tv guide to channels. Bed was very comfortable.
- Vanessa (2/5): - Very poorly kept. Nobody at the front desk after a certain time. They lied and said there were no rooms left and the place is empty. It should be shut down.
- Judy (6/5): - There was not enough room around beds, creating a problem plugging my cpap machine and phone.
- Dorothy (8/5): - Merely adequate. Place needs work
- jerry (2/5): - The whole area was Shabby and run down.
- Marta (6/5): - It was right next to the thruway - noisy!
Also, it gave the vibe of a place that could easily be used for drug deals, parties, or one-night stands.
- Denise (4/5): - We left without spending 10 minutes and found new hotel. It was a long term Welfare hiotel.
- Michael J (8/5): - I liked the proximity to the I95, the closeby friendly Roy's Restaurant and the nearby village of Manchester
- Laura (10/5): - I always stay here when I come to NY. Prices are reasonable. Staff pleasant, and very accommodating.
- Delbert (10/5): - Very comfortable
- Roland (10/5): - Television was terrible, tv controls, and choice, not very good
- Frank (8/5): Plain, clean, and friendly - Was looking for a clean and inexpensive place to overnight on our long drive. The front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was plain, yet very clean and serviceable. Will stay there again.
- Jason (8/5): - .
- karen (6/5): - It was so hot and the cooler was so loud and did not cool the room. We did not stay our second evening there.
- Sharon (6/5): - It was nice for the most part.
- Susan (4/5): - My one complaint is that of staff. To us it appeared that the staff did not show up until after 2pm. So if needed of something you did not get it. I feel it was a mismanaged hotel and we will not be staying there again
- Mark (4/5): - Hotel was run down inside and out. Floors were sticky. The staff were very nice there, but I would never ever stay there again.
