• Alifahdina (8/5): it was a pleasant stay at Aston Jayapura! - the staffs are very friendly and helpful. they attained all my inquiries (making twin bed into double bed, hairdryer, even looking up the cctv since i lost my phone -- turned out i lost it in the grab). all accommodative, packing up my breakfast since i have to catch early morning flight. The room could have been cleaner, in the AC status, it said the filter need to be changed. However, it is not to the extent that I sneeze or cough, all bearable.

• Gentur (9/5): Good choice of hotel in Jayapura city centre for both travelling and business trip - Good location in Jayapura city centre and near some eateries. Excellent wifi connection. Delicious breakfast menu. Some of the facilities in the room are a bit old and need a retouch. Hotel should add an additional menu of Papuan local cuisine to the breakfast buffet.

• Nipsco (8/5): good location, good value for money - I hadn't been here for six years. It is still a good place to stay in Jayapura, with a nice, central location and good facilities. I notice more English-speaking staff now. They still have the noisy Sunday morning Pentecostal church service with blaring and poorly song rock music though. Tip for visitors from PNG: Many nationalities no longer need to get a visa in advance to cross the border, as the Indonesian side is now linked to visa on arrival and no-visa entries, just like major airports.

Air Conditioner was leak.. huffftt This is aston? Realy? And enginer fixed this 20 minutes with noisy sound and yes uncomfort situation.. Aston.. have u schedulled maintaince?? Please improved... But .. this one of hotel recomended just for biztrip @ Jayapura If still any unpleasant u can choose other hotel...

Good food at kaimana cafe and lounge. 👍 In front of the hotel there is "pasar mama mama papua", one place that must be visited when you go to jayapura. Reccomended place for stay in jayapura.
• Eloprogoarthouse2016 (10/5): Nice Hotel to stay!!!! - I went to Jayapura on July 2018. Staff are very welcoming, room was clean, quite big for solo traveler and I got nice view too. The location is in central city (easy to explore). Breakfast was good and Kaimana Cafe also can be good place to get meals (I have some allergic and they cook nice food for me). One thing I did not tried is the Spa, not much time and they been fully booked when I was there. Over all I have wonderful stay at Aston Jayapura. I will return for my next visit for sure!

The staff was friendly and very helpfull, especially the Front Office staff. Look forward to stay there again for my next business trip.

The hotel is in a good location with some fantastic views over Jayapura. I will definitely be staying here again when next in Papua.

Staff are so friendly and polite, they ready whenever we needed them to assist us, room clean and spacious. Breakfast delicious, no major thing to complain about. Deffinitely will stay here again for our next trip!
• hilbramd (6/5): Business trip to Papua - A hotel with a view of harbour. The room is clean and everything work properly. Its not a big hotel nor big room but the venue of my event is big with good sound system, acoustics and food. Good breakfast and good wifi too.
• sin_ik_1999 (8/5): one of the best hotel in Jayapura - the location is in the middle of Jayapura city but quite far from the Sentani airport, about an hour. Room was clean and comfort. Restaurant was small but cozy and has variety of food. it open at 5-9 am. the wifi wasn't good, up and down connection. there was no swimming pool but has whirpool. Taxi from/ to airport was around 250-350 thousand rupiahs. Near hotel was mama-mama market (traditional market). Don't forget to buy Asar fish.
• U2859YOpetera (8/5): Great hotel - Check in was great. They allowed me to check in the morning long way before check-in time, and offered me welcome drink while they were preparing my room. Room was great and spacious. The wifi was surprisingly fast. The breakfast was OK with decent choices.
• Vacation606053 (8/5): Good impressions - We book this hotel via Agoda with a decent price. We arrived before check in time and they gave us a room to rest after long hours flight from Jakarta. The service was good. The location is strategic enough.
• Aikaterini2013 (8/5): For one night ok ! - This hotel is in the center of the city. It took us one hour to go by car to the airport . The room was not big and looked old. As in most places in Indonesia the staff doesn't understand English . Breakfast and dinner buffet ok.
• outofthelight (6/5): OK for business - not for leisure - The hotel staff members are all very friendly and helpful - but things are a little worn down. I had a nice room with a great view. But the carpet was rather dusty and did not look clean, and the drain in the shower must have been clogged, as the water level kept rising in the shower area. I had been looking forward to enjoying the outdoor jacuzzi/garden which you can enter via the 8th floor. Unfortunately, it is nothing like the pictures. Nowhere to rest, it is all dark under a roof, and the smell of the water makes you want to stay away. It is sad that the hotel does not have an outdoor area anywhere - it would have made the stay so much nicer. The gym has a reasonablesize for a hotel like this and also quite a selection of equipment. However, some of the equipment is in strong need of maintenance, and the hotel does not provide towels or water in the gym (I asked the reception of the spa but was asked to go back to my room to fetch it). Everytime the elevator stop in a floor where smoking is allowed, the smell of cigarette smoke fills the air, so unless you are a heavy smoker, you should probably insist on a no-smoking room. It was OK for a business visit, but I am not coming back.

Check in and check outnya very fast and for food breakfastnya very varied and tasty. And I will recommend to a friend and I will come back again. • ahmadsZ2139SW (8/5): Good hotel - This place one of the best hotel in jayapura. I was stay for couple days also my managing director come to jyapaura from jakarta and stay there one night. The service overall is good with suites room. Match for VVIP guests.
• indrakm (2/5): Definitely not the hotel to have a seminar - I stayed in this hotel because I would give a seminar in hotel ballroom. I’d rather stay in a better hotel if I had a choice. They said this is 4-star hotel, but I can assure you that it isn’t. I stayed in room 1015, and the room was gloomy, with old furniture, broken and dirty carpets. I really think that the management should start thinking of refurnishing their rooms. I stayed for two nights and I got the exactly the same breakfast menu for those two mornings, to the point that I assume it was yesterday’s food that they put for the second morning! The seminar was a total failure, especially for the first 2 hours. Though we had checked everything the night before, it turned out to be so many things went wrong. First, the projector’s cable was broken, then followed by the audio cable was also troubled. Every time audio cable plugged in to the laptop, the picture went crazy. Not until 2 hours of seminar they came up with the solution to bring the portable speaker and place it at front. In the middle of seminar, the electricity went out. Though it only took them about 10 seconds to switch it to gen set, it already changed the mood of the audience of those 10 seconds black out. But I think this issue of electricity went out, is the issue for every place in Jayapura. Just be prepared if you have a seminar in this city that this might also would happen to you. The design of the lighting in the ball room was also has flaw. The ball room has several dozen lamps an almost every single of them has a single switch. So many lamp switches in the control room, to the point that even the staff got confused to turn off and on the specific lamp. I can only say that the lighting for this seminar was a total chaos! What made things even worse that the hotel staff and supervisor, did not want to get critics and always defending themselves every time me and my team complaints. Not until me and my colleague ask the supervisor to had a word with us down stair and really tell him the convenient way in handling customer complaints. I believe that this hotel staffs never got the training of quality service excellent what so ever.
• jodiets (2/5): so bad - My booking through traveloka two nights and extended to six nights.... I do not feel like in a 4 star hotel.. very bad service... breakfast is not tasty. I wake up at 8:45, when grab a drink, all the food already in the clear.. whirpool so bad..
