Das Personal ist kompetent und sehr freundlich

- Peter (9/5): Lovely place I will be back again - It and tranquil place, lovely spot and good facilities and staff are excellent Not easy access to the city centre
- Melissa (9/5): Geweldige locatie! - De omgeving is prachtig! In het huisje was het wat klam, voornamelijk de bedden.
- Nyarai (10/5): -
- Gary (10/5): Fabulous relaxing stay in sub-urban game reserve - Great position in its own 6.5km2 game reserve, well marked trails and nice sunset game drive. Some fabulous giraffes
Food in restaurant very good. Really interesting tasting of their own label wines.
Room was large, quiet and great views of passing warthogs and antelope.
Staff, including GM Scott were really interesting, interested and helpful.
Well organised airport transfers Very little.perhaps the lighting around the pool could have been better as it is easy to trip at night
- Brünnet (10/5): top und immer wieder eine reise wert - Top essen, etwas ausserhalb der Stadt Essen war Top aber für afrikanische Verhältnisse relativ teuer
- Signe (10/5): -
- Joseph (10/5): A unique boutique sanctuary gaming experience close to the city! - The property - the property is beautiful and truly a sanctuary.
The staff - the staff are really nice, kind hearted, attentive, caring, and knowledgeable. They reflect the care of the owners and it shows.
The food - the food was delicious and really fresh. You can tell that it’s locally grown and comes directly from their nearby farm. Even my kids who are really picky eaters were trying new things. Oh yeah, and they loved the Shirley temples!
The experience - overall, the experience was extremely enjoyable. I was able to host some business meetings during lunch and spent time with my parents and extended family as well. My kids loved the game drive, which gave them a unique opportunity to see so many birds and animals in their natural habitat. My son hopped out of the safari truck to approach the giraffes, which he was excited about. He even communicated back and forth with the sable (smh!).
Thanks for such a wonderful experience. I can’t wait to come back later this year! N/A

- James (10/5): - Excellent lodge with quality service, meals, and lovely rooms in a park location!
- Coxe (9/5): -
- Ashu (6/5): - Location. Near lusaka The maintenence is below par. Not cleaned properly. Leaking veranda.
- Neilsen (9/5): -
- Bernardas (10/5): Fantastic stay! - It was a fantastic stay! Place was wonderful! Staff was super accommodating and helpful. Food was really good and chef was super flexible to adjust to a dietary requirements! All in all a wonderful place and we looking back to come again!
- Ellen (9/5): - Ambience, staff friendliness and attentiveness.
Animals came right up to my patio which was such a treat Chairs in the common area and bedroom could use a bit of a scrub.
- Michael (10/5): So peaceful surreal wildlife just absolute pure pleasure - So peaceful, staff are wonderful
Food - top notch
Wildlife, walks, drives
10/10 N/a
- Tabo (8/5): Great stay! - Beautiful location, clean, staff were attentive and friendly. Food was delicious. Chalet was a bit far but I think that was due to the time of year and a lot bookings
- Crispin (7/5): A great place but a private party rather spoilt my reason for being there. - The rooms and walking safari was great as was the reception and staff. The made every effort to make it special. The food was great and the setting was brilliant. It was sophisticated. On Independence Day they had a private party that was a promotional party with nothing to do with independence. Basically you lost use of the facilities you had paid a lot for and truthfully you became a 2nd class citizen at a very expensive destination. In retrospect I would have cancelled as it wasn’t quite the pampered break I’d planned.

- Hanna (10/5): Great place to stay - Loved the grounds and overall experience. The staff are friendly and the food is amazing Nothing
- Ron (9/5): Top locatie - Zeer vriendelijke mensen en prachtige accommodatie. Daarnaast heerlijk restaurant.
- Patrick (10/5): Always the best resting lodge around Lusaka - I am a recurrent visitor of that place. Always very well maintained and very friendly staff. Large choice of food and wine. Nothing. Sometimes a bit crowdy when people just come for the day.
- Claire Diphoorn (10/5): - Beautiful location, very clean and well organised, amazing staff! I would have wanted to stay longer
- Chibbabbuka (10/5): Relaxing and refreshing in such a peaceful and serene environment. - Breakfast was great, my husband and I enjoyed the same immensely. The check out time was early. It would have been nice to leave say by 12:00 so as to allow us stay a bit longer.
- Stacy Kwisila (7/5): - Loved the staff and facilities very welcoming and exceptional 👏 Dinner was not so good but breakfast was.
- ARLETTE (10/5): Parfait - Tout est bien pensé
Magnifique lodge
- Kennedy (6/5): -
- Lucy (6/5): - The chalet we stayed in was a little bit tired, the food was mediocre and the staff not hugely attentive. Bit disappointed although it was ok.
- Pablo (9/5): Superb -
- Patrick (9/5): Neat and cosy place with good walks that are not crowdy. - Staff paying attention. Nice walks around the private property, up to 10 km. Nice chalet, well equipped. Very good foof.
Used to safaris, I was not really looking for a game drive, just a sunset drive: however, I hugely appreciated my driver (Sonet) and well as the game that we could see (not always visble in other big parks in SA, or in other countries). Sonet did know a lot of very interesting things of which a bit about insects (I am an enthomologist). I will come back with my wife next time. The wine degustation was good but the meal served with it was very little, too little. It would deserve a better balance between the quantity of wine (for a degustation) and the quantity of food to try each wine.
- Charles (9/5): An enjoyble, relaxing stay - A peaceful, quiet lodge with lovely bungalow accomodation set in very attractive gardens. Food was delicious and staff attentive.
- Johan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Kelvin (8/5): Very good -
- Bubala (9/5): Superb -
- Malundu (5/5): Passable - The environment is safe and peaceful. Food is delicious. It's spacious for kids to run around and play. We saw beautiful giraffes. The hot water for bathing is available all day The towels are a bit old. At times service is slow at the restaurant. The bath robes in our room seemed to not have been changed for a while, they had spiders breeding in
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rabih (7/5): Good -
- Kealy (9/5): Great get away from the city - Great breakfast options, wonderful peaceful atmosphere Many activities to do if you choose. Nice game drive full of many herbivores. Not knowing about the different ways to get their when the yango and google maps sent us to a road that was closed after a rainfall. There should be a message or instructions on how to get there under these circumstances.
- Ellen (10/5): Stunning Retreat: Wildlife at Your Doorstep - This property spans an impressive 650 acres of land, where wildlife frequently roams right up to the front of the villa, creating an unforgettable experience. During our morning game drive, we were thrilled to spot four giraffes, zebras, and a variety of other animals. The breathtaking scenery and the pristine condition of the property exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this property for an exceptional stay immersed in nature.
- Nyarai (10/5): Exceptional - Very peaceful -
- Jeremy (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful and luxurious, food and wine are amazing. Gorgeous cabins.
- Penny (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful place. Clean and spacious. The staff were exceptionally good at making me feel comfortable and well looked after. Fantastic massage, so good I had to have another one the next day. Amazing soup of the day ( creamy butternut squash).
The Impalas gracefully walking around just felt so natural. Nothing at all. Couldn't have asked for more
- Kachizya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Pamela (9/5): Very pleasant location and accommodation. Staff accommodated our requests and did what they could to facilitate us. - Location, ability to walk and observe animals safely. Chalets, particularly double chalets were well laid out and comfortable. Facilities were good. Staff were very helpful and made us feel welcome. Condition of road to reach property was bumpy and taxi driver struggled to find the location. Family rooms are cramped leaving little room for suitcases etc. No obvious facilities for lunch, afternoon tea or snacks, especially if visitor has no transport to access other places. Menu was not clearly labelled regarding gluten free foods, which caused an issue for one of our party. (Staff did their best to support us on this).
- Margaret (10/5): An amazing oasis of nature and luxury! - Where to begin with how incredible my stay at Lilayi Lodge was!!! I spent two weekends at the lodge as a relaxing respite from a stressful time at work. You will feel so far from city life, though it's so close to Lusaka. The grounds feel like a magical oasis away from all stress. I enjoyed going on long walks on the hiking trails and seeing all the wild animals roaming the grounds, the fabulous wine and delicious food, the gorgeous chalets and patio, and getting a massage on my patio. Lilayi Lodge thinks of everything, even creating a WhatsApp group for the guest to communicate any room service needs or general questions. The attention to detail in everything was impeccable. I recommend anyone needing a weekend of peace, a girl's trip, or a romantic retreat to go to Lilayi! Not the lodge's fault, but there are so many flies following me on the walking trails that they got in the way of enjoying a peaceful quiet walk at times. I used the insect repellant but they didn't seem to care.
- Cheelo (10/5): It was great - It’s very clean. Beautiful grounds The towels could be better.
- Alice (9/5): Superb - Serene location on the outskirts of Lusaka, home to antelope, zebra, warthogs, giraffe and more. Delicious food, wine and friendly professional staff.
Sit on your private deck and wait for the animals to come to you. Perfect spot to recover from jet lag and get an introduction to safari life.
- David (8/5): Very good -
- John (10/5): Lilayi a lovely get away - Lovely hotel set in a large fenced area with a lovely pool and attentive staff. There are nature trails and a game drive where you might see giraffes, warthog, monkeys and different varieties of antelope.
- Bradley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kay (9/5): Amazing - Beautiful but out of Town everything apart from location
- Patrick (10/5): Exceptional - This place was amazing! It was calm, clean and had a lot of lovely animals to observe from the room patios. They really paid attention to all of the details and I think it was the best hotel/accommodation I have ever stayed in. I have very little to critique - the only thing i would say would to maybe work on the lunch/dinner menu a little more as it is the same menu for lunch and dinner.
- Maryam (10/5): Exceptional - The food was amazing. The staff were great. The wine is a must try. Overall experience was 100%
- Emmanuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (9/5): Truly a restful haven to spend time in nature and enjoying delicious food! - The lodge is situated in a beautiful game park, with a range of comfortable dining areas. We loved exploring the gardens around the chalets and the beautiful lawn, which welcomes a range of animals from time to time!
- Kjartan (10/5): a diamond in the desert - A mazing staff and rooms, wiew, out side was wild bird and antilopes not easy to find
- Per (10/5): Calm oasis close to the city - A little hard to find but worth the effort. A calm oasis next to a chaotic city. Very friendly staff and reasonably good food. Nice spacious bungalows with pleasant terrace and view. We didn't see much of the animals but this being the end of the rainy season, there were many places to hide and no need to go to the hotel grounds for water. The food could have been better and we had the impression that despite ambitions, some skills and knowledge were missing.
- Ian (10/5): A few days in blissful tranquility and natural wildlife out on the well marked trails - This is an amazing destination close to Lusaka. Loved the location in the heart of nature. I came for just a few days to recuperate during a heavy work schedule and needed to turn my health around. The staff were amazing. Thank you team Lilayi. Nothing. Although it was at the to end of my price range it was still great value for money.
- Annie (10/5): - My stay at Lilayi Lodge was amazing. The staff were outstanding, and the food was absolutely delicious. I’d give each room a 5-star rating, as everything was in immaculate condition. The lodge combines the luxury of a modern hotel with the calm and relaxation of a secluded retreat. I'm eagerly looking forward to my next visit!
- Richards (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): Magnificent - The friendliness of all the staff, the fabulous lodgesl rooms and the food! All magnificent. This was the best holiday location we have ever had. Lusaka traffic! Travelling from the airport to the lodge during rush hour was very slow.
- Gwendoline (10/5): Our second visit to Lilayi Lodge. It staff were welcoming and they remembered us from our last visit which was nice. The - Friendly and helpful staff. Great food and good location. Nothing
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kitty (8/5): We'll be back. - Lilayi is a lovely place, a haven just outside Lusaka. We have been many times before and every time it is TOP! The vehicle came to collect us from the airstrip which is a wonderful service. Staff setting up for a conference when you are having breakfast is a bit disturbing. But I suppose that cant really be avoided.
- Rfoote (8/5): Very Pleasant - The ambiance and food were good. The rooms very clean comfortable and well appointed. The directions on google maps lead you to a dead end in the middle of no where. Front desk seem to be aware but do nothing to solve the problem. We spent more than 30 min "lost" trying to find out how to reach the resort.
Management and the website should advise guests as to the reference point on google maps to drive to from which there are signs to the lodge.
- Grace (8/5): It was a beautiful escape into nature. - The scenery. The breakfast buffet was not well stocked.
- Nyarai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aj.d (10/5): Amazing! - This was our second time at Lilayi but the first time staying overnight. We loved the location and the amenities. The room overlooking the garden was gorgeous, we enjoyed a beautiful sunset game drive with a bottle of Lilayi's lovely rosé, dinner with the wine tasting was perfect, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We booked our trip last minute but were amazed by the service we received during our stay. We will definitely be back if we have another chance! Nothing at all.
- Edna (10/5): Exceptional - Very fresh and tasty food from available options. The staff were extremely pleasant and our game drive was amazing. The kids' play ground was also great offering great fun in the natural and serene environment.. Lilayi Lodge has the best beds in Zambia, its super clean and simply amazing! 👌 During our stay, we were told that Lilayi Lodge doesn't offer stews, i.e., no beef or chicken stews... our kids love these, but they had to do away with them our weekend stay. Hopefully, they can consider this limitation for our little ones and even some adults..
- Cheelo (9/5): Superb -
- Thabani (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joel (9/5): Superb -
- Jessica (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (9/5): Superb - Beautiful facilities and lots of animals one can observe from the restaurant or when walking on one of the many trails. Staff very friendly and helpful. Good vegetarian options.
- Mark (9/5): Brilliant as usual - Stayed before and excellent staff and facilities. The food is always excellent. Just this time it was busy and we had a family lodge for a couple. Much prefer the standard lodges with a verandah. Just a fact of life, it was busy, and we took the hit. Still excellent.
- Zanetta (10/5): Exceptional - Excellent gem to get away from it all and just relax. Beautiful surroundings, great staff and lovely food and choices of wine
- Pachernwit (10/5): A enjoyable, relaxing and humble experience in the nature with all wild animals. -
- Rudo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Battykl (9/5): Exceptional restaurant, very good stay in the lodge - Restaurant staff and food were exceptional. Room was incredibly comfortable, in a beautiful setting. Overall a wonderful place to relax in luxury on the outskirts of Lusaka. We felt a bit neglected by lodge staff. Other guests arriving received a welcome drink, we did not. We were told we would receive a welcome WhatsApp that would then allow us to communicate any issues, but no message arrived. despite my going to reception to remind them. Our turndown service was forgotten on day 1. The channels on our TV stopped working during our stay, a maintenance man spent some time trying to fix it but then just disappeared without resolving anything or offering any conclusion. All very minor issues that didn't impact our overall stay, but cumulatively were a bit disappointing for the price and expected standard of this establishment.
- Naomi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arthur (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexander (10/5): - Where else can you have Axis deer and Warthogs coming up to your chalet and do a bit of people watching. It's a paradise
- Stanley (3/5): Poor -
- Smith (1/5): Bad -
- Sibu (10/5): perfect for a getaway from the city - the reviews were excellent but i did not know what to expect. this place completely exceeded our expectations. excellent service, the food was delicious, friendly staff, and affordable game drives available during the day. the wifi was also good. i wish i could have stayed here longer!
- Chadaporn (10/5): Exceptional -
