- Peter J (8/5): Great hotel .. but for the cyclone problems! - My short stay was not at a good time, being just 3 days after a severe cyclone that caused much damage throughout the city, including to the cable tv service. But the staff was friendly and the room service was very good. Would stay again if opportunity arose.
- Verified traveler (6/5): staff response, swimming pool and restaurant. - I checked in morning around 3 AM due to delay in flight, I requested to have check out time to be 7 AM considering odd timing to go out. Manager bluntly responded they can streatch for a hour not more than that, 2nd if I stay more they then I had to pay 1500 Rs for 3 hours which is not logical as it more than 50% of one my day stay.
As I checked in I asked for the complimentary water - no one showed up, 2nd day after continous request they provided me a bottle of water and banana ( I don't know banana fr wt -- its crap).
There is a restaurant and swimming pool attached to the hotel and it is preliminary for near by Lee Club member ; however ur allowed, but response would be so bad that you would treated as outcast!!
Brakefast not bad and was within acceptable limit if u like south indian food.
OVER ALL NOT BAD -- BUT FINDING HOTEL AND RESPONSE FROM MANAGER / RESTAURANT STAFF IS ONLY ISSUE. NOT PREFERED TO AIRPORT BASED ON TRAFFIC IN CHENNAI...
- Sukrito Kumar (2/5): Bargain place best avoided - This place is best avoided! The room is spacious, clean but that's it. Food is horrible. The chef sure does not have a trick up his sleeve. Non-veg dishes are same across the menu. Veg dishes lack taste.
The breakfast is same, the food again lacks taste. Of all the members in the staff, I believe, the only person who understands and speaks Hindi or English is Mr. Venkat of the travel desk.
The in-room tea maker was not available and I was informed that it will be provided once the order is placed. Sure I intend to avoid this place on intention. Suggest think more than twice if you want to choose. The spa, swimming pool and tennis courts are of the adjoining League Club and are all chargeable.
