- Omar (4/5): They are found financial scam by charging me twice the amount for my stay. .. be careful. - The location My Debit card was charged 2 times . One separate full amount for the deposit to book hotel & then another full about for my stay. This is unusual to be charged double the price for the entire stay. The hotel is doing scam. When i tried to call them & requested to check. They out me on hold .. there was no contact. So be careful. They charged me extra for breakfast although it was included. I fought with the people at the resturant & managed it.. however they charged my debit card twice.. so I paid double the amount fur my entire stay.. a scam .. so be careful.

- S3690XEalexl (2/5): Terrible & not 5 Star, be careful! - Hotel is no way near a 5 star in any sense and I have no idea how it has this rating. I don't often write reviews but felt the need to warn people. The room was in really poor condition with cracked sink, patched up wallpaper, ripped sheets, and even coming back after the room was cleaned to find a strange bit of food on the floor (see photos). All the photos on the website including the pool area are very misleading having been there in person. Added to this is the additional 'facilities' fee for internet access and fitness centre, which I'd expect to be included in a 5 star hotel. The room didn't even have a kettle, only a coffee pod machine, and the TV reception meant it was sometimes unwatchable. I booked this hotel for a special trip to New York for a very special occasion but were so dissapointed and quite angry.

- Rubber Soul (9/5): The Royalton Park Avenue is a very good hotel in NOMAD. - The location of the hotel was very good for our stay. The staff was very polite, professional, and responsive. The room was quiet. The elevators are notably fast. Water pressure was good. Many of the lights have dimmer switches, which is helpful. There was a room safe. Housekeeping did a good job. The sink could have been higher. The bed was a bit firm for our taste. The couch could use some back cushions.

- Carla (10/5): Excelente, repetiría! - La ubicación del hotel está genial, puedes ir caminando a mid town o a times square, ya que es un paseo agradable de unos 30mins. También tienes una estación de metro a dos cuadras y los buses te dejan muy cerca del hotel, en la calle de atrás. La habitación y el baño eran super grandes, lo cual se aprecia cuando vas con un bebé de casi dos años. Nos pusieron una cuna y la cama era grande y muy cómoda. Nos limpiaban la habitación todos los días. El check-in y el check-out fueron súper rápidos. No hubo cargos ocultos ni sorpresas como decían en otros comentarios. Si te mueves por la park avenue o hacia el este está muy bien, pero si quieres llegar al hotel por el oeste, te puedes encontrar con drogadictos. Creo que esto no es algo malo del hotel como tal, sino una situación de la ciudad, ya que lo ves en muchas partes.

Staff was not helpful - left something in the room after checkout and couldn’t get ahold of a live person for the last three days! - Tug' (9/5): Superbe hôtel - La localisation (sur Park Avenue) permet d'accéder au métro et bus rapidement et nous dessert toute la ville aisément. Accès facilité depuis l'aéroport puisque nous avons eu le transfert compris dans le prix de la chambre. Le personnel et très sympa. La vue du roof top et de la piscine est dingue. La chambre avait un petit balcon qui permettait de voir l'empire state building. En résumé un très bel hotel Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes. Il serait aussi intéressant de pouvoir avoir aisément les tarifs des collations / bouteilles d'eau mises à disposition car ce n'est pas clair.

- 219gilf (2/5): Scam - like they've done to hundreds of others, they steal your money - I'm currently staying at the Royalton and like hundreds of other reviewers, I was hit with a "smoking" fee of $500. I have never and do not smoke. They put a notice under my door with a "particulate" tracker, with a time that aligned with a shower and my balcony door being open. It's embarrassing and insulting that they'd accuse me of this, let alone try to charge me $500. After speaking with the manager, she accused me of lying. This comes after my arrival where they put me in a room where the TV is directly to the right of the bed, the remote doesn't work, and the shower is moldy. We've spent over $54k as a business staying here from 2025-2026 and they landed themselves on our credit card's banned merchant list as of today. Word of advice: their smoke "detectors" are just another revenue stream for them. I find smoking disgusting, and I find these accusations even more disgusting. You will have zero recourse (other than blocking them on your credit card like I did).

Go somewhere else - The moment you check in to this hotel you will be charged several times with no detailed bill or valid reason even days after check out Also be careful from the valet service they will blame the guest for any mistake they make They took our car to a no parking space and we got a parking violation and the hotel denied they were responsible for this! On top of that waiting for your car to be ready can take more than 2 hours!! Not a pleasant experience at all

- Caroline (6/5): Good and bad - probably wouldn't dash back, they aren't the luxury hotel they want to be or charge f - Good things: large room, very quiet at night with the windows close and the bed was very comfy, we slept well. The cleaners were excellent. Some of the staff were great. The pool was nice, and heated. Do not bother with breakfast. You can include it and you get tokens to use for it but it's not well explained, and it's not a buffet so you have to order and wait. The manager was good but the rest of the staff in there were slow and not engaged. I had to wait ten minutes for a cup of coffee. The toilet in the room broke, it two two attempts over two days to fix it. Not cool, although the engineer was very nice and helpful. By far and away the worst thing was the terrible renovation noise in the afternoons, you couldn't stay in the room during it at all and they made no compensation for it. Just a letter "sorry for the noise" On the whole it was ok, would i go back, no.

- Richard (6/5): Nice location. Not a 5 star hotel experience. - The location is fantastic, situated among many restaurants and shops and not far from theaters and Koreatown. The staff downstairs by the door and the front desk were very friendly and welcoming. There was good temperature control in the hotel room. The wifi was not really usable. We were interrupted every 10 minutes and asked to disconnect and reconnect to the wifi because we were flagged for "malicious activity" while watching YouTube, Amazon, Hulu, and Netflix. Any website that played any sort of video, even an ad, seemed to ruin the connection and it would take minutes to be able to use it again. When contacting the staff, they said it was a common problem but there wasn't anything they could do to fix it. The engineer they said they contacted just brushed it off. We had to use our phone data as hotspots to use the internet. Don't expect to be able to stay in and be reliably online. The facilities were okay, but not what I expected of a 5-star hotel. The bed was stiff and the pillows were flat. Besides the friendly staff downstairs and the nice temperature control in the room, I'd say this was closer to the 3-star hotel experiences I've had.

- ritar248 (2/5): SCAM - I was really hoping this situation would be resolved directly with the hotel so I wouldn’t have to write this, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. During my stay, I was incorrectly charged a $500 smoking fee. When I brought this to management’s attention, I was told they had “investigated” and saw my husband enter the room shortly before the charge was applied. I’m still trying to understand how someone entering their own hotel room is considered proof of smoking — because it isn’t. There was no actual evidence provided, no explanation of how this determination was made, and no willingness to fairly review or reverse the charge. The only response I received repeatedly was “I understand your frustration,” without any meaningful attempt to resolve the issue. What made this even more concerning was that while I was addressing this at the front desk, multiple other guests nearby were disputing similar smoking charges and expressing the same concerns. That raises serious questions about how these fees are being applied. To make matters worse, I was staying here during an important medical weekend with multiple appointments, expecting a stress-free environment. Instead, I was left dealing with an unjustified charge and a lack of accountability from management. I would strongly caution future guests to carefully review their bills and be aware that charges like this may be applied without clear proof or transparency. Very disappointing experience.

- Kaptur (8/5): - Hotel ok, ale niemal codziennie hałas po północy w związku z przyjazdem śmieciarek od strony naszego okna, mam wrażenia że panowie śmieciarze wychodzą z założenia że im głośniej będą tłuc się kubłami tym lepiej. Bez mocnego drinka raczej ciężko usnąć, ale mówią że to miast nigdy nie śpi. Obsługa na recepcji bardzo dobra i uprzejma. Natomiast pani wpuszczająca rano do restauracji to ewidentna pomyłka. Była bardzo nieuprzejma, nie pozwalał czekać przed wejściem do restauracji tylko w tzw penthouse i zapraszała łaskawie do stolika jak zdążyła go posprzątać. Za każdym razem miała z czymś problem. Restauracja bardzo mała jak na taki hotel w zaszadzie może 7 stolików i dwa razy czekaliśmy prawie godzinę na śniadanie mimo tego że stoliki były puste a leżały na nich naczynia po wcześniejszych gościach. Mimo licznej obsługi nie było komu ich powycierać i ułożyć nowej zastawy. Pani w warkoczykach raczej powinna zmienić stanowisko pracy, może sprzątanie pokoi. Poza tym same śniadania bardzo, bardzo smaczne. Pani w warkoczykach wpuszczająca do restauracji na śniadanie.

- Fausto (3/5): - Posizione, pulizia, piscina panoramica sul terrazzo. Struttura datata, con arredamento da rimodernare. Sistema di ventilazione nella nostra camera difettoso e molto rumoroso. Scarico del bagno non funzionante e poi cmq riparato. Reception con divano vecchio e consumato. Per essere un 5 stelle non ci siamo proprio.
