• Laura (4/5): - Indicated that we were celebrating our 25th anniversary. While I understand that an upgrade was not available (we would have had to move the next morning), I would have hoped they would have offered a much nicer room in our own category than the one we got. We received an accessible room where the toilet was too high for comfort, the bathroom flooded every time we showered and the layout was different than any of the rooms showcased online. I was told the hotel was full so I didn’t bring it up again until checkout (and the very sketchy internet access) and was promised a manager would reach out. It has been several days now and I have yet to hear anything back. Service was very good as far as restaurant recommendations and reservations were concerned but this was very disappointing.

Delicious breakfast and also does an evening meal on the pretty terrace, perfect if you have travelled far and don’t want to venture too far, although they provided great recommendations nearby for our other nights. Our room in the tower was amazing, huge comfortable bed. If traveling to Bordeaux and want a superb place to stay Yndo is highly recommended

• Jonathan (10/5): Wow ! Book Hotel Yndo and you won't want to leave. - This lavish and small hotel can't be beat. Modern, comfortable and large rooms that look like they were just redecorated. Everything is spotless and new. The staff couldn't be more friendly or accommodating. Location is in the old town and just blocks from the best streets. The breakfast is superb. Don't miss a stay at Hotel Yndo.

• Julia (8/5): - Wir haben das standard Doppelzimmer gebucht, welches als „Secret Room“ von dem Hotel tituliert wird, weil es als einziges Zimmer im Keller zwischen der Hoteltoilette und den Aufbewahrungs- (viele Kühlschränke) und Putzräumlichkeiten liegt. Auch wenn als solches deklariert, das Zimmer ist leider absolut nicht Schallisoliert und somit hat man permanent das Gefühl, dass andere sich mit im Zimmer aufhalten, dementsprechend ist es auch laut. Wir waren nur eine Nacht da, und somit war es in Ordnung. Für längeren Aufenthalt würde ich empfehlen eine andere Zimmerkategorie zu nehmen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Daher alles in einem würden wir das Hotel, aber nicht das Secret Room empfehlen.

The interior design is amazing and each room has its own distinctive style. It did not feel like a hotel but someone’s personal home. Thank you for your generous hospitality!

But if you are looking for a 5-star hotel, what means luxury category, this is not the place. I would consider a Superior category hotel, however, not a 5-star one

Un peu en retrait donc paisible.Nous avions une chambre complètement nouvelle donc quelques petites fonctionnalités à mettre au point mais le personnel attentif a tout fait pour nous rendre le séjour agréable. Déjeuner buffet fait maison et très généreux, vélos disponibles. Une adresse classe, distinctive et onéreuse mais parfaite pour une escapade romantique. À recommander.
• Sonia (10/5): Break et virée Bordelaise très appréciable. - Nous avons passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel particulier de luxe et avec un design très recherché et magnifique. Très bonne situation géographique puisque l’hôtel est en plein centre de Bordeaux à côté de la Comédie, l’opéra et idéal pour le shopping. Très bien desservi tram( 1€80 le ticket e pour 1h de trajet ) navette pour l’aéroport (7€ en 20mn) et la gare pour un prix encourageant à prendre les transports en commun. Toute l'équipe du personnel de l’hôtel est très chaleureuse, à l’écoute, professionnelle. Le petit déjeuner est excellent aussi avec une variété de produits faits maison.

There was a bit of difficulty finding entrance and a bit of a walk to the areas we were interested in visiting but there is plenty of nearby transportation

The sheets are rough like sandpaper so had to give low rating on comfort. The bathroom flooded when you ran the shower. The decor of the lobby is beautiful. The garage space and entrance was tiny, and we had a tiny car (mini Cooper) and would have been impossible to park or go in and out with a larger car.

• Tara (8/5): Cute hotel missing some special touches - The hotel is chic and designed nicely. It is small and quaint. I found the bed uncomfortable and wasn’t table to sleep well at night. We were staying in the stable room (cozy chic) I found it a little noisy as it was right next to the car park and we were told that’s the only room available so I wasn’t able to upgrade. The location is nice you are a 10 min walk from the centre. The breakfast wasn’t anything special, I ordered poached eggs and revived a boiled egg, I also asked for a fruit plate and received fruits that were pre cut and put in the fridge. The croissants were nice. Some of the staff were friendly and some were not. Room does not have a coffee machine or a kettle, No shower cap either.

Every single detail, every piece of furniture, every single fitting has been specifically chosen to compliment everything else around it. The owner has an amazing eye for design The staff are awesome, nothing is a problem.

The staff was friendly attentive and we couldn’t have been happier. Breakfast was tasty with good options. Dinner was somewhat limited but the choice of dining establishments nearby was easily negotiated. Hotel is located in a residential neighborhood that need for a relax stay.

• Gavin (10/5): True 5 star luxury gem - This is a pure design gem, true 5 star hotel in the heart of beautiful Bordeaux. We stayed in the Crazy room, which was perfect, Lina Rosetti couches, wood beamed eaves and a bed that gave the best nights sleep. Apparently hand made and only 50 in the world - I want one! This was an old palatial residence that has been refurbed to the highest standard. Staff were superb. Perfect in every way.

We were greeted upon arrival and our bag was immediately taken to our room. Juliet was particularly helpful and assisted in booking a wine tour, a city tour, and dinner the night of our arrival. We stayed in the 'Secret Room' and found it comfortable and perfectly charming. The outdoor patio was beautiful and secluded and we enjoyed a glass of wine both evenings we were there. This hotel is a 10-15 minute enjoyable walk to the city center which makes it convenient and quiet. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel staff and beautiful hotel property are superb, and made our short stay in Bordeaux beyond memorable and wonderful. Every aspect of our stay was 5 star quality, especially the lovely meals which we enjoyed on the peaceful terrace. We also discovered a love for the handmade banana jam, and other perfectly made dishes. We cannot wait to return and highly recommend making use of the hotel bikes to tour around town!

We had a 'crazy room', which was beautiful, spacious, and so comfortable it was hard to drag ourselves out to see the city. Shower was amazing. Service throughout our stay was gracious and pleasant, from an excellent glass of wine on the terrace at night to a delicious cooked-to-order breakfast in the morning. Boutique hotel with luxury finishings-everything from the furniture to the toiletries in the bathroom was of a luxury standard. Over all it made our trip even more enjoyable, we would highly recommend staying at this hotel.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent service in a quiet location - The rooms were modern and the bed linens were exceptionally comfortable. The staff were very helpful (24 hour room service!). Lunch on the terrace was lovely. The hotel was only a 10-15 minute walk from the heart of the tourist areas, but it was so quiet that it felt like another world. Overall, a wonderful place to stay.

• John & Jane (10/5): Fantastic Hotel - One of the Best hotels we ever stayed at. Location is excellent just a short walk to major shopping district . Quality of the rooms exceeded are expectations . We always enjoyed staying at the Ritz or Four Seasons but our stay here was just as good if not better . Breakfast at the hotel is great and I would highly recommend . The best thing is the service which was just incredible . You could not ask for anything better . I would go back just to visit with the owner and staff as they were more than wonderful and treated you like family . We looked forward to returning to our hotel at night just to speak to the staff . Overall just an incredible experience and we are very grateful for the fabulous memories at this hotel . Looking forward to returning . John & Jane
