- Verified traveler (10/5): Really good - Review of Trung Nguyen Coffee Resort
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Trung Nguyen Coffee Resort, and overall, it was a very enjoyable experience. The resort offers a unique and refreshing blend of nature, coffee culture, and relaxation that’s hard to find elsewhere.
Atmosphere & Location
Nestled in the lush greenery of Buon Ma Thuot, the resort is a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The surroundings are beautifully maintained, with gardens, trees, and quiet walking paths that create a tranquil and refreshing atmosphere.
Accommodation
The rooms are clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated with a rustic yet comfortable design. I appreciated the natural materials and the coffee-themed touches throughout. Some rooms offer views of the garden or lake, which made the stay even more pleasant.
Coffee Experience
As expected from Trung Nguyen, the coffee here is excellent. There are multiple spots throughout the resort to enjoy freshly brewed coffee, including the famous Trung Nguyen Legend Café. The staff are knowledgeable and happy to explain the different coffee blends and preparation methods.
Facilities & Services
The resort includes several amenities such as a library, spa, and a cultural exhibition area related to coffee. The staff were polite and professional, although service at the restaurant could be a bit slow during peak hours.
Food & Dining
The on-site restaurant offers a good selection of local and Western dishes.

- Minh (10/5): - Very nice location and services.
- Minh Quan (6/5): - The bathrom was quite bad, dirty! And also the staff were not really friendl but their buffet is good
- Lynette (8/5): - Staff were great, property was lovely but the light shone in the room during the night.
- Yoshitaka (4/5): Disappointing -

- Thuy (5/5): Passable - Lovely garden
Friendly staff Narrow room with quite poor facilities compared to the value. The hair dryer was old and not safe.
- Nga (8/5): Very good -
- Nguyen (5/5): Passable - Location is good The design in bathroom is poor
- Tuyển (7/5): Good -
- 456susannev (6/5): Short get-away f Hanoi - Only a simple hotel, NOT a resort. Very basic but clean rooms. No hot water in shower!
Terrible smell from the breakfast “restaurant” where the food is basic and local! The staff seems quite unfriendly but probably due to lack of the english language!
Ok for one night
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Overall just a tired place, feels like the staff, grounds and bathrooms/rooms need a cracker under them to liven the place up when calling the place Resort status.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Perfect overall only downside our room was located next to a very noisy group ...
- okina (8/5): - 朝食のメニューがもう少し種類があると良い。隣のチュグインコーヒーで美味しいコーヒーを飲むことが出来た。
- Verified traveler (10/5): - 庭が広くて綺麗で朝食を景色を眺めながら食べて気持ち良かったです。
- 300dop (10/5): Best in town - Great hotel and very reasonable. Good ac, clean large room, decent bathroom. Check in is quick and efficiently dealt with which is always a plus after 8 hours on a bike. Staff friendly and helpful, would recommend.
- Kayren2014 (8/5): Serenity - I loved this Resort ,the grounds were so pretty and green. If you want a place to stay that’s peaceful this is the place .We were there at the time of their New Year and the flowers were just beautiful .The only thing I could mention is the shower recess in our room needed a good clean .But the positive out weighed the negative
- ClipperMonsoon (6/5): Average - no complaints - Check the location and make sure it's where you want to be. Some local restaurants nearby are pretty good, and the Trung Nguyen Coffee museum is next door, but to get to the center of town you'll need to walk quite a ways (20-30 minutes) or take a taxi.
I had a Superior room which was of a decent size and clean with a comfortable bed and balcony. The bathroom fixtures were a little older but also clean no complaints.
With the exception of breakfast, that's my real review of this place: No complaints. But on the flip side, there's nothing to really rave about either. The Coffee Tour Resort is on a nice property but it could be so much nicer, with some unrealized potential for gardens or other amenities.
One thing I love about Vietnam hotels are the breakfast buffets they usually offer. This one disappointed me. It was very limited in its offerings and instead of eggs to order, there were few plates with fried eggs on the counter getting cold. On Day 2, I scoped it out again, and then didn't even bother and went to Trung Nguyen to buy breakfast.
One strange thing about Buon Ma Thuot in general, and Coffee Tour Resort certainly fits with this: people generally don't smile as much as folks in other Vietnamese cities.
Vietnamese are warm, happy, engaging people, but if your only visit to Vietnam was Buon Ma Thuot, you might not think so.
Overall, this resort could easily improve with a few simple efforts. Smile more. Do something with your gardens. Improve your breakfasts (Please start by making it a non-smoking area, but improve the food and offerings as well.) A pool in the open lot near the wall would attract more families.
- michelle (6/5): - I accidentally booked 2 rooms for the same night while traveling. We stayed there for 3 nights, but they would not credit me back for the accidental booking even though I told them about the error 2 days before arrival.
Not good.
- TerryinBangkok (6/5): A Peaceful Corner in Buon Ma Thuot - Expectations were average and our stay was in the middle of a typhoon, but the resort turned out to be a pleasant surprise.
The rooms are average + , but comfortable and functional. The resort is in a nice setting and next to an attraction featuring coffee and hilltribe buildings which is a must visit.
The best feature was the staff who we found kind, cheerful and helpful.
Not easy to find a meal in the immediate area on foot but the staff can direct a taxi for you.
We met one young local man visiting on business from Saigon and he said he chose it because it is the best in Buon Ma Thuot and he enjoyed the peaceful setting.
- Meg_Redding (8/5): Beautiful Coffee Estate - Loved the visit to the Coffee estate and view the features by Trung Nguyễn Coffee.
Displays of culture of ethnic people. Great coffee. Good breakfast.
I enjoyed the drive through the estate and the cool air. Beautiful scenic views. Coffee plant is a gift from God to humanity for creativity.
Congratulations to Trung Nguyễn Coffee!
- benoodr96 (10/5): Very pleasant hotel - Stayed for one night as a stop over between Kontum and Nha Trang. We were traveling Vietnam by motorbike thus we needed a place to park our bike, and there was a security guard watching over the car park which was nice. Service at reception was fast nd the member of staff who showed us to our room was very helpful. The room was clean and quite modern in comparison to other hotels of a similar price range we had stayed in Vietnam. Breakfast was plentiful in the morning which was excellent. Only downside would be that there wasn't a great deal to do in Buon Ma Thuot! Overall, we had a pleasant one night stay, and would stay again.
- 291PeterH291 (6/5): Nice gardens but in a dirty, boring pat of town. - Chickens roam freely around the expansive well kept gardens which would benefit from a couple of peacocks.
Oddly... the hotel feels 'cold' and lacks any 'warmth' or personality....the staff are like mirthless robots moving, without eye contact, from one task to the next...although the room housekeeping lady was cheery and pleasant.
We won't visit this island of green again....which is set in a dirty featureless neighborhood.
- LeThuy_Vietnam (10/5): The best accommodation in Buon Ma Thuot city - The best accommodation in Buon Ma Thuot city,
The resort locates near bus station so really convenient to come here,
Staffs are friendly, they were so enthusiasm to guide us to visit all destinations of the city,
Breakfast was so so, not so special but good.
Clean and comfortable room.
Highly recommend to stay here in Buon Ma Thuot city!
- jlevysso (10/5): Not a resort, but still great! - This is not a resort, which for us, was actually a good thing! The grounds were nice and pretty, and very quiet in spite of being in the middle of the city. The rooms are quiet, clean, and comfortable, and comparable to any western hotel standard. The staff was very helpful, although their English was elementary. They organized taxis, tours, and laundry services for us. Although the breakfast is basic, it's sure convenient. On top of all this, it's a great deal at a lower price than pretty much anywhere else in town.
One word of warning, don't expect much from the Trung Nguyen Coffee "Village". It's more of a glorified coffee shop than an attraction, although it's not a bad place to sample different types of their coffee and buy some coffee related souvenirs.
- 360craigs (8/5): Quiet green oasis in the middle of the city - Lovely little place, friendly staff a great rooms at great price.
Just wish the place has a pool, they seem to have space to build one too.
Breakfast is adequate and non-stop coffee that is delicious but BLOODY strong
I really have no major complaint when I left I was sad to go.
- PrakashnHuong (8/5): Not a resort but nice place - Quite place, nice atmosphere for relaxing.
Hotel room is similar to 2, 3* hotels. Breakfast was standard.
Should visit the Trung Nguyen village next to a hotel so you can enjoy the real resort atmosphere.
- BrianP660 (6/5): Nice room but the coffee was a disappointment - I needed a room in Buon Ma Thout for just one night untill a friend could pick me up and take me to his home 40kms away and Coffee Tour Resort was perfect. Less than 500,000VD for a cosy, clean room with all mod cons inc. CNN (which I didn't have in three star establishments in Saigon & Hanoi !). Set back from the road, I found sleep quality to be 100%.
The complimentary breakfast was from a limited & fixed menu which I expected considering the room cost but the coffee was a big disappointment. Being the COFFEE TOUR RESORT in Vietnam's prime coffee growing district I almost expected a coffee machine be delivered to my table where I might choose from several local blends but my vivid imagination couldn't have been further from reality.
What I got with breakfast was a very small cup of barely luke warm instant coffee and a small jug of cold milk. Hardly a shining testament to the local industry. Fortunately for me at least, my friend has a coffee farm and I was able to enjoy the fruits of Buon Ma Thout within half an hour of checking out.
- nguyenlebac (8/5): Nice hotel. Quiet atmosphere. Good place to stay in BMT - I like the quiet atmosphere in this nice small hotel; especially in a full moon night in Highland
This hotel is stay next to Trung Nguyen Coffee Village - for convenience coffee enjoyment.
The room is clean. Nice & friendly staff.
Good place to stay in Buon Ma Thuot.
- David-Chicago15 (10/5): A little Resort but enough - I really like this place because of this peaceful. A little resort but when discover It you find many things inside. Specially is Trung Nguyen Coffee Village include in this area. We got the room when we arrival, the reception is very kind when make the quick check in for us also help us hire a moto-bike, other staff also very good, room was very clean and a.c was perfect ( You really need it after spend time under the sun in Dak Lak) There is also the sitting room open in the first floor for my building, I like it, it was convenient. The breakfast is great with a nice view to the garden, water with the penjing were wonderful decor. I feel very comfortable in my relax days, every thing here was excellent. I find a lot of nice place in this city and also in the country side.
I recommend Cafe Tour Resort and will come back.
- hap164 (8/5): Nice hotel - We stayed here 3Nights 4Days. The last night had a trouble about electricity and we had to change from apartment room (higher price) into hotel room. We checked out at 6pm and it were free for half last day. Friendly staffs, clean and beautiful room.
However the breakfast was not good. We had buffet at the first morning with just few foods and a la carte for the last ones.
You can ask for a renting motorbike with 200.000VND/day for scooter (we got an Air Blade) and 150.000VND/day for gear one.
- John N (10/5): Small gateway to quiet place - Beautiful surroundings and unique structures!!
- Ankur_Malik (8/5): One of the best in the city - Pros: The rooms were clean, staff friendly, centrally located, well priced, beautiful outdoors, right next to Trung Nguyen coffee village (nice place to relax in the evenings)
Cons: Breakfast is a let down, WiFi in the rooms was not so great and there was no kettle in rooms to make tea or coffee.
- O2986ZRsophieb (10/5): Sophie from Australia - This place was perfect for what we needed in our budget, situated next to STUNNING waterfall garden coffee place. Seriously beautiful and unique garden design.. Made me feel relaxed and forget I was in a busy city. Comfy, clean room with nice bathroom, air con and good wifi.
- NguyenTuanAnhVN (10/5): Nice Hotel - Nice Hotel, good service and i had two day happy. Thank you very much !
The menu was also quite expensive and did not cater much for westerners, You can do a tour or just enjoy the beautiful gardens and great coffee.
- Thanh249 (10/5): GOOD HOTEL - We booked in advance 02 rooms when being on the way to Daklak. Luckily, we found this hotel with rooms available as needed. The double room was big with good facilities. Just a little unhapiness with breakfast, however it's not a proplem affecting to our vacation. the view was good, peaceful, large garden with good photo-shoot's zones.
- ZEEV (10/5): - Excellent hotel
- Paul (8/5): Comfortable and Clean - Stayed two nights. Comfortable and clean. They have a quaint hotel rule that if you buy food or drink from somewhere else and bring it back to the hotel, then the hotel has the right to charge the cost of the goods. Crazy. We didn't pay them and brought our drinks back in a shopping bag. Didn't have breakfast and share the one satchel of coffee in the room between the two of us. Restaurant not open in the evening and had to go out. Don't take the hotel's recommended restaurant. I am sure there are better ones around.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Best hotel in town for sure! - We stayed one night as we were passing through Buon Me Thout. The hotel was lovely and intimate with a very beautiful landscaping. The Coffee Museum next door isn't much of a museum, but it is beautiful and has a great coffee bar. Our only problem was this wasn't much of a tourist town so it was a bit harder to forage for food at night. The front desk was very helpful.
- Jay (8/5): A good choice for Ban Me Thuot - A pleasant hotel in quiet area a few kilometers from city center. I did not see the basic rooms but the superior room in which I stayed was quite good by Vietnamese provincial standards, and included a nice breakfast buffet with eggs cooked to order.
- Verified traveler (8/5): good spot for a short stay - Nice
- Andrew (8/5): Fine hotel - Clean hotel, good for our purpose, put us on to an excellent tour guide (Mr. Chinh of Happy Travel)
Breakfast was good; abit odd perhaps as we were the only customers, it seemed.
- TER (10/5): Great and friendly staff - The stay was great! Staffs are very friendly and helpful!
I actually left my passport in my previous hotel, and the staff was very helpful in getting in contact with the previous hotel and retrieving it back! Thumbs up!
- Phung (8/5): A nice and relaxing retreat - The price was reasonable, the service was good. The wifi was good and usable throughout all coffee tour resort properties. The coffee tour restaurant 100m up the road was excellent overall.
- thierry (10/5): Very good hotel - Good hotel.
- Jacki (10/5): Great Hotel with a Quirky Flavour! - This is a great hotel, with a very quirky looking building in the back for their coffee tour and restaurant. The staff were very helpful in organising a private driver for a day trip at the last minute. Fantastic breakfast which was included in the very cheap price. Close to local restaurants.
