- Loza pulido (9/5): - Muy bonito y agradable el lugar, super céntrico, la atención excelente, desde el aeropuerto me dijeron como llegar excelente ubicación.
- Darcy (7/5): - Location, the room was clean, and bed was good Small room, no coffee, microwave or fridge in the room. Grounds are very shaded with nice aeasto relax, but they need some maintenance
- David (10/5): - Staff is amazing and helpful! Price is perfect for the location.

- mario (10/5): Hosts were great and neighborhood feel of the location was perfect. We felt very much at home. Would definitely recommen - Great location and very peaceful atmosphere
- BG_SG (8/5): einfache Unterkunft an Top-Lage - sehr einfache, günstige Unterkunft an sehr guter Lage, netter Besitzer aus Argentinien, Insektengitter an den Fenstern, Zentrum alles fussläufig erreichbar, gutes WIFI, diverse nette Hauskatzen im Innenhof unterwegs, kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer, Durch Lage nahe an Hauptstraße eher etwas Lärm, relativ kleine Zimmer
- Marian (10/5): We booked a lovely suite and have now found our favourite hotel for our annual trip to Carneval La Paz - Location was walking distance to Carneval
Ample secure parking
Great full breakfast with friendly staff

- Twila (10/5): Paradise in the city - A garden in the middle of the city. Funky, almost like a tree house. This place has true boho flair- a palapa lounge, resident cats and dog and a cool little coffee bar. A bargain in the center of the historic district. Rooms are no frill with super comfortable beds and updated baths. No shampoo.
- Ashanya (7/5): Rustic but comfy stay in San Jose del Cabo - Loved the laidback vibe of the place. Beautiful garden area with eclectic decoration. The hotel was located right in the heart of the gallery district, a short walk from the main square. The hotel is on a quiet side street and you are not bothered by noise from the square (and we were staying during Mexican Independence). Some reviews mention there is a main road on one side of the hotel and you do hear traffic there during rush hour, but it was never enough to bother us and our room was on that side of the building.
Our hosts were great and super helpful with anything we needed. We stayed during low season, when it was particularly hot but they made sure to check in on us regularly.
The bed in the room was huge and very comfortable. Overall great value for money compared to other options in the area. WiFi wasn’t great in the room and some of our devices struggled to stay connected. There are lots of communal areas around the garden, however we didn’t use them much as, when we were there, some were very dusty and the walkways were overgrown and there was limited shade and no fans so very difficult to stay outside in the heat!
We thought there would be a kitchen but wasn’t mentioned when we checked in and we later realised there was a kitchen that seemed to have been closed for the low season, which was a shame as it is quite an expensive area to eat out.
Overall, these were minor issues and would love to go back in high season!

- Dmitry (7/5): It is worth it for the price you pay for it - Amazing staff! Amazing location right on the city square! And not as expensive as other places for this kind of location. And it is cozy around, nice cat, nice dog! The room is really old and smells a little bit of mold, bathroom and shower does not work 100% proper. Really slow wifi

- RICARDO HARO H. (7/5): - La ubicación
- Isis (10/5): -

- ruby (10/5): Disconnect and explore - I liked the whole relaxed hippy jungle vibe. Having a foster dog on property was just the best. Arlo was a nice doggy. N/A
- Arturo (10/5): - People very nice and helpful
- Nicole (10/5): Stay here! - Super recomendado lindisimo el lugar y el staff
- Adina (9/5): Great stay! Good vibes, excellent location! - I love the treehouse vibe. It was unlike anywhere I've stayed before. Cynthia was warm and welcoming and gave great recommendations. The shower had a bit of a leak so there was always a puddle on the floor.
- Morgane (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing attention from the owner who was extremely helpful and welcoming! Perfect for a few nights, no frills rooms with very cute outdoor area and plants, location cannot be beat!!
- Jesus (5/5): For what is has to offer, the place is a bit pricey - Location Pricey
- Soto (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ldmto (8/5): Lush courtyard, walkable location, and cats. - Great location, nice walled courtyard with several levels of walkways and shared living areas. Authentic Mexican vibes, rustic and peaceful. Lush plants in the courtyard and a few cats. Priced very well and walkable to everything in SJDC. Felt like an very chill hostel with several outdoor common living areas and kitchen. It is right beside a major road, so there is traffic noise, but that is not something that can be helped.
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cindy (10/5): Exceptional - Perfect place right down a small hill to the square
- Lisa (5/5): The room is close to the road. The music from the next door didn't stop until after 11pm. The cars coming and going -
- Luis (10/5): - Even the photos dont make justice to this nice little beautiful space! Very calm with peaceful vibes! Comfy rooms! A walking distance to the town and multiple places to eat. Make sure to enjoy a coffe or matte with Hernan!
- Alena (10/5): - Returned after 12 years and still as unique and interesting as I remember. Same owners - very friendly and sweet. Good people. Rooms are basic and small, but perfect for folks who are left of center. Easy, safe parking nearby. Perfect for walking around Art District.
- Lauren (10/5): - One of my most favorite places! Amazing hosts and small non-pretentious hotel with great vibes!!!
- Kris (7/5): Good -
- David (8/5): - Very much enjoyed our 5 day stay! Hernan is a great host! This is a laid back place with great walkable access to the town square and many great places to eat. It’s not in a quiet area of town at nights and there’s a busy road just over the wall of the property so if pristine silence is what you want it may not be the best fit for you. We shifted to this property when the pool had to close at the one we had originally booked We tried it for one night and stayed for 5. Quirky place (in a fun and interesting way) and friendly people. 30 seconds walk to the main square, 20 minute walk to the main beach, 35 minute walk to the marina. If you are there on a Saturday, the nearby farmers market is a must. Hernan will give you great suggestions and directions.
- Kasriel (2/5): I would never stay here again ! - Great location right in center of town Bright lights outside the door with no curtains to block out the light . Toilet was leaking , right next to the the Main Street lots of noise all night. I wouldn’t pay more than $50USD to stay here and I paid $80 . Lesson learned
- Barbara (8/5): Very good - Location
- Stephen (3/5): Poor - Very noisy and the bed was extremely hard
- Peter (7/5): Good location excellent price worth a night in San Jose Del Cabo. - The two best things about this property is the price and the location. Very affordable and great location for downtown walking around. We had a unit that was right on the main road, so it was kind of noisy. The property is definitely somewhat dated, but I think you’re getting what you pay for.
- Phillip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mark (4/5): Disappointing - The hostess was nice. No hot water, no soap, no blankets on the bed, had to ask for towels. The bathroom needed attention. Courtyard lights were left on all night. The light shone in our door window with no opportunity to block it.
- Philippe (7/5): Nice people, central location, room was clean, little dog - Hosts were very nice Room was too small for us
- Terry (9/5): Amazing and artsy hotel centrally located - Great hotel in a very good location Nothing.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - The location was within reach of the airport and the location where I would meet my friend. The welcome was exceptional and the hotel had character. Nothing.
- Doris (3/5): Will never book this place again - Nichts Extremely hard to find
Directly on a highway, extremely noisy
Worst of all: They refused to give me a receipt for the payment, I don't even know how much they charged me
Promised to send the receipt online, but it never came
- Ephraim (6/5): Staff extremely nice. Room basic. Location is excellent to be close to restaurants and stores. - It was pretty basic but in a very central location. Room was cold and not enough bedding to keep warm.
- Sarah (7/5): Happy we stayed there. - Funky down home feel, lots of plants, cats roaming around, fun colors and interesting quotes painted on the walls. Rooms are nothing special, but the ambiance is great! Hernand, the staff person we connected, with was wonderful, full of good information. The location was perfect, walking distance to everything in old town. A great place to start our Mexican vacation! Could use some clean blankets.
- mayra (8/5): - Great price for location . Really nice staff. Would stay there again .
- Daria (3/5): Poor - Nothing) Located directly on the road impossible to sleep also too bright cause there is no shadow anywhere in the room, too noisy up to 2 am there was a music at the hotel which is on neighbours, it was fully dirty meanwhile it costs 70$ per night… We left that hotel at night cause we can’t sleep at all
- Gustavo (10/5): Comfortable and relaxing. - The vegetation, the staff (Hernan) and the presence of cats (specially Walter) The relation price/place
- Kimberly (8/5): Very good - Great place to stay if your goingto Crania .. 11:30 check out, great location. Perect if u need a comfy friendly place to crash. The attendant was chill aand friendly. I had a hard time finding the entrance but ... i thinl that is cool too hidden treasure
- Claire (8/5): Great location ! - What a cute eclectic place to stay, the price was very reasonable for its location, staff was friendly and helpful
- Bruno (10/5): - Good local
- Grant (2/5): Very poor - friendly host Air conditioner didn't work.No shampoo in the bathroom.
- Huan (8/5): - The place is gorgeous with natural beauty. They have mango trees, coconut trees, guava trees, cats and dogs! I really love this place, but the mosquitos kept me from appreciating this place. Beds are clean and comfortable. But the bathroom could use some update. But the hosts are so friendly and helpful. It made my trip so memorable!
- Antra (7/5): Good -
- Edgar (8/5): Very good - Great location near downtown shops and restaurants friendly and helpful staff
- Kris (9/5): Superb - Only a block from main plaza!
- Randall (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - Location was great. Friendly staff. Road noise was a little loud.
- Diana (10/5): Good option for a good price - The bed was super comfy and the host was incredible with us thank you señor mañana The room's location was kind of noisy but you pay for what you get, also the smell that came out from the air conditioner wasn't the best, some maintenance would be nice.
- Lauren (10/5): - Hosts are great and love the quirky low key vibe. Great location to rest your head at night w/out breaking the bank! Also great coffee and breakfast in their garden! Thank you Cynthia & Hernando for another great visit.
- Kurt (10/5): - The owner was very welcoming and helpful.
- Peter (7/5): Good -
- Frank (10/5): Exceptional - A hotel like a garden with very nice owners and lots of cats roaming the premises.
- MRS ADELE (10/5): Quirky hideaway. - A quirky hideout at the edge of the art district . Fantastic hosts who looked after us and are happy to give you tips about the area.
Room was clean , but a little noisy from the road noise . It didn’t bother us.
Great breakfast which is served in the garden.
San Jose is a fantastic town with lots of great restaurants.
- carmen (8/5): - It was an ok stay for 1 night
- Catherine (5/5): Very basic noise but good food and coffees - The good was very nice and thé coffee It was dirty a round the property the bathroom was not nice at all
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- richard (8/5): - Cindi was top notch
- Verified traveler (4/5): Be Forewarned: No Pool Here -
The location can't be beat. The coffee they sell to you is excellent. While advertised as having a pool, it did not. My room had a hidden, dangerous ledge in the bathroom shower. There was neither towel rack nor toilet paper holder. The toilet seat was loose. The mattress had a downhill slant such that one could slide to the floor. The traffic noise was so extreme it was difficult to sleep. But these are the good things about the place. The bad: They do not necessarily clean the rooms even if asked, purified water is not always provided, they do not empty the receptacle for used toilet paper daily or regularly, they do not provide enough toilet paper, the cotton rug on the floor seems not to have been washed…ever.
- David (8/5): Comfy stay in spacious room in San Jose del Cabo - Comfy and spacious room with friendly and welcoming staff. The air conditioning wasn't really working.
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts
- Linda Louise (6/5): - There was a water leak in the bathroom, the floor was wet.
- Swan (9/5): The owners were extremely helpful, especially for someone like us who were completely unfamiliar wi. - The breakfast was delicious! I had homemade sourdough bread with marmalade.
My husband had pancakes, bacon and maple syrup. Everything was homemade and very good sized portions. The bathroom was very small, but that added to the quaintness.
- Jeananne (8/5): Perfect location, old, cheap, clean & comfy. - Quaint, old hotel. Noisy at times due to location but room was very clean and one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept on. Soft comfortable bedding and we stayed for a yummy breakfast.
- Renae (1/5): Our stay was ruined by the manager blaming us for an accident clearly caused by disrepair. - Outside spaces are quite unique and charming. Bathroom sink mounts in disrepair caused the sink to quickly detach from the wall and crash to the floor as tenant stepped from the shower and took hold of the sink for stability. Tenant fell naked into porcelian fragments, fortunately sustaining only minor injuries. Manager denied all responsibility and unfairly blamed tenant, with the added insult of demanding payment for repairing damages.
- Glen (10/5): - Stayed here a few times, these people are honest hard working people, and wonderful hosts.
- Terry (10/5): I enjoy staying with Hernan and Cinthia. They both are so welcoming - Excellent hosts. Very good vibe and great coffee and breakfast Nothing !
- Rosalyne (8/5): - Nice
- Micaela (8/5): - It was a great place to lay our head after a late night of traveling.
- Susan (4/5): - This was a charming hotel. The proprietors were very friendly and welcoming. Problem is, the website was misleading – they don’t rent bikes, they’re not close to the beach, and the room that we were in was not the room that we picked off the website. Our bathroom door was broken, the room lock sticks, and it was very noisy from traffic and whining dogs. We only stayed one night and went to another hotel. Some people seemed happy, so maybe we just got a clunker of a room.
- Jamarl (8/5): Very good -
- Roberta (8/5): - Friendly staff and very walkable
- Nico (9/5): Superb -
- Glen (10/5): - Excellent hosts. # one.
- Anonymous (10/5): Unique - Nice service of staff Old bathing equipment
- Ronald (6/5): - the traffic noise was a little loud, but quieted down after 9:30pm.
- Timothy (6/5): - Liked the family-like atmosphere, and the kitchen.
Did not like the (new) disco rught next door, super-loud music til 2 am
- Hayden (4/5): Disappointing -
- Linda (8/5): - Great coffee❣️
Hosts were so helpful and knowledgeable. We felt like they went above and beyond our expectations with their kindnesses and warmth.
