• Verified traveler (2/5): Sunkhostel med missvisande beskrivning. - Missvisande bilder på detta ”trestjärniga” boende... Enormt sunkigt rum med silverfiskar i badrummet, handdukar som luktar unket och blod på en av kuddarna. Jag höll tummarna för att slippa se kackerlakor. Man fick säga till om varmt vatten till duschen. Tur att personalen ens var där då, eftersom de sällan syntes till i receptionen. Reste med 11-årig son och blev rekommenderad ett rum med ”stor” dubbelsäng som skulle räcka för oss bägge. Den var 1.40 och vi trängdes i ett hål i mitten, där man gled ner på den nerslitna madrassen. Läget annars helt ok mellan gamla Östberlin och västliga delen med Kurfürstendamm mm. Vi älskar Berlin, men andrig mer Hotels.com med denna typ av missvisande erbjudanden. Det är bra att ni erbjuder boenden över hela bekvämlighets- och prisskalan, men då måste ni vara ärliga och tydliga med vad man har att vänta. ”Billligt hostel med hyfsat läge i Berlin, lämpligt för backpackers och studenter, inte så lämpligt för familjer med krav på bekvämlighet och renlighet” - voilá, en beskrivning som skulle passa bra. • Verified traveler (6/5): You Get What You Pay For - My son and I needed a place to crash for a night. We checked in towards the later end of the check-in window, and never received the WiFi information. A little while later when I realized the woman who gave me the key never gave me the sign on information, I went out to the hall, but no one was around to help me, nor did anyone respond when I emailed, messaged, or called. There was also not any hot water. It ran for about 90 seconds, then never came back, even the next day when I tried to shower. Glad we only stayed one night. The room was decent, had high ceilings, so for a small room, it didn’t feel claustrophobic. No elevator, probably best for a solo traveler. Overall I got what I paid for, so all good.

Momento nenhum falei com alguma pessoa responsável pelo lugar. Foi cobrada uma taxa por atraso de chekin que não constavam da regra no site. A água quente acabou durante o banho. O quarto era demasiadamente quente. O travesseiro horrível. A única coisa positiva é que era limpo. O resto horrível!

• Verified traveler (2/5): 他の宿をおすすめします。 - おすすめしません。立地がよく、写真やレビューもそれほど悪くないと思い予約をしましたが、間違いでした。階段下のボイラー部屋のような所に通され、夜通しボイラーやパイプの騒音の中で過ごすことになりました。写真やレビューには大きな窓や高い天井などが含まれていますが、窓は小さく、壊れていたため開けることもできませんでした。天井は低く、階段の下にあるため、昼夜階段を行き来する音がひどく、堪ったものではありません。また、廊下部分にはものが散乱していて、防災にも問題があると感じました。（レビューには盗難にあったという掲載もあります）ペンキが塗りたての部分があり（注意表記なし）、ジャケットにペンキがついたり、あり得ない部分が多いです。２泊キャンセル不可で予約をしましたが、１泊目は一睡もできなかったため、２泊目は他のホテルに移動しました。（もちろん返金はありません）数十ユーロ多く払っても他の宿を取ることを強くおすすめします。
• Isaac Phillip (2/5): Total disappointment - It was very uncomfortable. First of all I left the heater on and went out. 3 hours later I returned and the room was as cold as I couldn't imagine. That's when I realised the heater didn't work! And of course the owners were not available. In the morning before I left for my flight wanted to take a shower but to my shock the water was ice cold. Even after letting if flow for a couple of minutes. I must say I didn't enjoy my stay and I feel I didn't get my money's worth. I feel I was cheated. Also the pictures displayed on their profile are totally different from the way the rooms look. Totalle Verarschung

• Lise (6/5): Lige dele ris og ros - Dette "gasthaus" ligger tæt på forretninger, restauranter og U-Bahn, hvilket er meget bekvemt. Desværre er der rigtig mange trapper, hvilket besværliggjorde opholdet for mig, der er bevægelseshandicappet. Selv indtil mit badeværelse var der trapper. Derudover var værelset ekstremt lille, lydt, mørkt og koldt på trods af, at det var smukt, og man havde forsøgt at gøre det venligt med kunstige roser og håndklædet foldet som en svane. WIFI-forbindelsen var nærmest ikke-eksisterende. Af personalet var der kun én, der var venlig og imødekommende, men stedet er alligevel kun bemandet fem timer om dagen. Rengøring er ikke inkluderet i prisen, men koster 8 Euro om dagen, hvis man ønsker at få gjort rent, til gengæld var køkkenet fint og nemt at bruge med alt nødvendigt udstyr og desuden flittigt brugt af samtlige gæster. Med andre ord var der ting ved stedet, som jeg vældig godt kunne lide, medens andre var virkelig dårlige.
• Marianne (6/5): Sehr durchschnittlich, höchstens 2 Sterne - Großes Plus: Das Gästehaus liegt sehr zentral, 2 U-Bahnstationen fußläufig (90 m bzw. 200 m), es erschien mir wie eine riesige umgebaute Altbauwohnung. Das eigene Bad (wenn auch klein) war zweckmäßig, alles funktionierte einigermaßen zufriedenstellend. Das Zimmer war sauber, Handtücher konnten eigenständig täglich gewechselt werden. Auch die Küche war zugänglich, ich habe sie jedoch nicht genutzt. Minus: Ich habe außer am Ankunftstag ( ich blieb 3 Nächte) weder andere Gäste noch jemanden sonst vom Hotel jemals zu Gesicht bekommen. Die Rezeption sollte zwar für 5 Stunden am Tag besetzt sein, wenn niemand kam, wurden aber andere Arbeiten wie z.B. Bügeln verrichtet. Das Zimmer wurde nur gegen Aufpreis gesäubert, bei 3 Sternen ist dies m.E. ein Ding der Unmöglichkeit. Das Zimmer lag zum Innenhof, in dem leider bis spät abends gearbeitet und auch geraucht wurde. Der Rauch zog sehr unangenehm ins Zimmer hinein. Die WLan Verbindung stürzte ständig ab.
• Laura (6/5): Soluzione per soggiorni brevi - Posizione molto comoda e ben servita. Stanza essenziale, perfetta per un soggiorno breve-brevissimo. La doccia rialzata darebbe assolutamente da evitare perché pericolosa. Il bagno è veramente ridotto a servizio essenziale. Personale gentile e disponibile.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - I rated the staff low on this because we never saw anyone! If you are looking for a cheap hotel that is one step above a hostel, is clean and in a good location then this is a good choice. However... things to keep in mind: The hotel is only staffed 1-6pm. If you arrive after 6pm (we arrived after midnight) you pick your keys up from the kebab takeaway two doors down. The room is not as roomy as the one in the pic. It was big enough for two daybeds and therefore big enough for us (we slept there but were out all day) but its not roomy. Similarly the bathroom involved working out how to move round it ie being able to open the door involved squeezing round the sink so if you're quite large or have mobility issues this may be less than ideal.The shower was also about 2 feet higher then the floor and involved quite a clamber up into it. If I needed a cheap bolthole for a couple of days I would def use again but for anything more I'd perhaps look elsewhere.

Si trova al secondo piano in un palazzo rimasto intatto dalla seconda mondiale, la stanza è piccolissima e puzzolente. Di continuo c'erano pesanti odori di cibo, non c'è una recepsion....... per 60 euro a sera in Berlino si trovano alberghi di 4-5 stelle. Appena ho visto il posto e la casa per li ospiti(perché tale è) mentre lo spavcoate per un albergo sono ri.asta scooccata. Gli ostelli hanno servizi e luck migliore. No coments. Fregatura totale

• Verified traveler (4/5): No se lo recomiendo a nadie! - La verdad es que he estado en apartahoteles y eso no se le parece en nada. Mas bien es un albergue con habitaciones individuales... Al principio pensé en conformarme por el precio tan bajo que pagué, pero lo mal que lo pasé la segunda noche creo que es imperdonable. Se alojaron otras personas en el “hotel-piso” que no dejaban de gritar y de dar golpes saliendo y entrando toda la noche. Intenté contactar con alguien del hotel, pero no fue posible y tuve que aguantarme... Tampoco mostraron gran interes por solucionar el problema al leer mi mensaje a la mañana siguiente. Las toallas estaban rotas y no estaban muy limpias. Las otras cosas de la habitacion en muy mal estado y viejas, el baño era con cortina y no te puedes dar ni la vuelta de lo pequeño que es, las fotos son de una habitacion...luego te meten en una pequeña que solo cabe la cama... En fin... En mi opinion las 3 estrellas se las deberian de quitar porque desde luego no se merece ni media. En general Fatal!!! No se lo recomiendo a nadie.

• Murat (6/5): Cheap and clean - Although the reception is in service between 10-18 pm. everything had been organized. We arrived later than 18 pm. Remember, there is a late check-in fee, 10€.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - In de grote inkomhal was niet meteen duidelijk waar net de inkom van het hotel was. Gordijn is net te klein waardoor het gehele raam niet bedekt is. Alsook werden we 's nachts wakker van lawaai + licht dat onder de deur door kwam van de eigenaars zelf doordat onze kamer net naast hun privé badkamer was. Uiteindelijk moesten we het licht nadien op de gang zelf gaan uitdoen. Het gehele hotel oogde zeer amateuristisch.
• Andrew (10/5): A great few days and nights in Berlin - The state of the front door on the street made me wonder if I'd made the right decision. Don't judge a book by it's cover. This guest house is run by really nice, English speaking, staff who made us very welcome. The room was basic but well presented. The bathroom was small but perfectly usable. Would I go back for another stay? Yes.
• Tina (4/5): "Zum Schlafen reicht's" - Wir hatten angesichts des Preises nicht viel erwartet und sind auch mit geringen Erwartungen angereist. Wir wollten sowieso nicht im Hotel, sondern in der Stadt unterwegs sein. Doch leider hat uns das Zimmer in dem vorgefundenen Zustand sehr enttäuscht. Die Ecken waren sehr dreckig. Es hat zunächst nach Rauch gerochen. Als wir lüften wollten, kam uns aus dem Innenhof der Geruch alten Frittierfetts des asiatischen Imbisses im Erdgeschoss entgegen. Eine Klimaanlage oder andere Belüftung war nicht vorhanden. Zudem war es warm. Auch das Badezimmer war nicht sauber, in der Ecke Haare und Dreck. Wer damit kein Problem hat, findet hier sicher eine günstige Unterkunft.

Badet på vores værelse kunne man ikke stå oprejst i og bruseren kunne kun sidde så vandet stod 90 grader ud fra væggen. Sengen var ikke særlig behagelig at sove i. Væggene i værelset virkede meget snavset og gardinet sad kun delvist fast i stangen.

The staff were friendly. And it wasn't too far from some pleasant attractions and shops. It was good overall for the price you pay.
• Verified traveler (8/5): Great place, but distant from the city centre - The guest house was a great place to stay, our room was big, clean and we had everything we needed with good kitchen facilities. However some of our food got stolen from the communial fridge which we had labelled and the reception was not open 24 hours.
• Verified traveler (4/5): The worst "hotel" I have every stayed in - Only stay here is you are content with very basic accommodation with little to no service. We did not see anyone on reception for the entire duration of our stay. To check in we had to pick up our key from the kebab shop next door and were charged an extra 10 Euros for the privilege. The rooms are not cleaned unless you request it an pay extra. The bin in the communal kitchen was not emptied until it was overflowing (3 days after we moved in). There was a first aid box with nothing in it in the hall, I did not see a fire alarm and the owners would have had a sketchy idea of who was checked in as we certainly did not show any ID or fill out any paperwork. If I were Hotels.com I would remove this establishment from my website.

• Daniela (8/5): Práctico, no bonito. - La habitación era pequeña pero suficiente para llegar a dormir, limpia (no hay limpieza diaria). La entrada al hotel desde la calle tiene mal olor y está sucia. No hay elevador, por lo que es difícil el acceso con equipaje grande. Personal amable.
• Shamima (6/5): Cheap but comfortable. - I paid €119 for three nights in a single room. For that price the room was comfortable & a great location. The only drawback is you have to pay an extra €8 for your room to be cleaned but for a such a short stay I didn't need this. Cheap bakeries located nearby & there's a handy Woolworths next door where you can stock up on water & snacks.
• Verified traveler (4/5): - The ladies who checked me in were lovely. But they only worked from 10am-6pm which wasn't overly helpful. Nothing fancy, particularly for the price. Pillows were very bad - I regretted not bringing my own. My main issue was there was no hot water the first night. For the second night I'd realised the water boiler was only on halfway so I turned it up all the way and left it to heat up while I went out. The water still only lasted about 5mins max before it got cold again. I'm lucky I didn't try to wash my hair because I wouldn't have had time before it got cold. I also had to sit sideways on the toilet because there wasn't enough room between the toilet and the wall to fit my legs. I have very short legs so this was a weird experience for me! Location was excellent though - it's less than half a block from a great tube line which makes it easy to get anywhere in Berlin.

Tried to get access the next day four different times. Sent a email still no reply. It looked abandoned ... every other building and hotel on the street looks nice, would like a refund. but hey no entry no contact. Just extra charge at a kebab shop....
• Besucherin (8/5): Für Entdecker geeignet:) - Wer nach Berlin fährt um die Stadt zu entdecken, dabei aber eine günstige Unterkunft sucht, der ist hier genau richtig ! Preislich glaube ich ist die Unterkunft nicht zu toppen. Ein spontaner später Check-in war kein Problem, dies erfolgte über e-Mail Verkehr und war komplikationslos. Zum Hotel musste man durch eine Wohnungstür in die 1 Etage, beim Reinkommen wirkt es wie eine große WG sehr sauber und sehr gemütlich. Es gibt eine Küche die bis 23 Uhr genutzt werden darf, mit Tee und Wasser. Das Zimmer war sauber, ausreichend groß und freundlich eingerichtet. Auf dem Zettel auf dem Tisch stand noch einmal alles wichtige zusammen gefasst. Was einem bewusst sein muss ist, dass das Bad sehr klein ist, in die Dusche musste man mit einem Hocker einsteigen ( nicht so ungefährlich), es gab kein Duschgel etc. Handtücher wurden gestellt, ebenfalls ein Föhn. Und wer sich von dem Hotel Wellness oder 4 Sterne erhofft ist hier falsch. Für einen erneuten Besuch in Berlin immer wieder gerne, es hat uns sehr gefallen :-)
• Aaron (8/5): A great value in a convenient spot - A smaller "boutique" type hotel with cozy rooms and great amenities (like access to a full kitchen and complimentary coffee/tea). Conviently located right on the border between two great neighborhoods and within 1 block or less of 2 different U-Bahn stations providing tons of transit options. This place was a perfect value for any traveler who enjoys their time exploring the city but wants a place where they can easily return to and relax. I thought that it was the worst hotel I could have booked but when I got inside on the first floor where the hotel is I was really surprised. Helpful staff, very clean room and most important it is very cheap.

• Helle Hjorth (6/5): Fint hotel til prisen. Ligger centralt - Er fint sted for pengene. Madrassen i sengen burde dig skiftes. Den var slidt og man faldt ned i et hul midt på sengen. Hvis man ankommer efter kl 18, koster det 10 EUR at hente nøglen i Kebabrestauranten nedenunder. Det forstår jeg ikke . Hotellet ligger fint mellem øst og vest.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Can see why it was the price it was - Completely understand that I booked on a budget however this is not a hotel but a glorified hostel. I had a single room but the beds/sofas were very uncomfortable and the tv reception was terrible. On the plus, the location for access to the rest of the city was great (if you dont mind the hookers around the corner at all times of the day). Very basic but did it's job. Rated 3 stars based on what I paid to what I got.
• Mahnaz (2/5): The city Stop Berlin is a guesthouse, not a hotel. - I had a terrible night at this guesthouse. The room was so small and noisy. The staff was very friendly but none of them stayed for the night at the guesthouse. In addition, there is no lift at the hotel.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and comfortable hotel near the city. Very helpful staff. Access to a kitchen and free tea and coffee! Good free wifi and a great (and cheap) bakery over the road. Also a few metres from the U-Bahn. Highly recommend this hotel, thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

• Karla (10/5): Friendly place in Berlin! - First things first, do let them know in advance if you're looking for a late check-out, or late check-in, as those will incur in extra charges (I didn't need this, but it's worth to note). The staff was super friendly and made us feel welcomed right away. This is more of a guesthouse, FYI, not exactly a hotel, but it works as one. You're free to come and go as you wish and have full access to the kitchen and facilities. The rooms are great, and have everything you could ask for, except toiletries, but you can get them in one of the shops nearby. NOW, the deal-breaker (and why I chose them): THE METRO. The station is literally around the corner, about 20 steps away. So you can go wherever in Berlin in the blink of an eye. As a female, walking late at night felt entirely safe. Will stay here again! Definitely recommend.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Got what we paid for - Average budget accommodation. Room was plagued by terrible air quality, accumulating dust and bad odor quite rapidly. Hot Water cylinder was very small, allowing for only brief showers. Sound proofing wasn't spectacular. We could hear floorboards creaking in the neighboring rooms. On the upside, it was central and very close to the U-bahn, which made travelling around the city a breeze. Previous comments about the area being 'dodgy' were greatly exaggerated. Yes there was a adult shop across the road, but apart from that it was a nice area with good cheap food options near by.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Close to public transportation - There isn't much in this area, but it is less than a one minute walk from the metro station. The staff was such a sweet group! The room was small but very clean. I wouldn't call this a hotel, it's more like a hostel in every regard. My initial impressions weren't great. When I arrived, there was a lot of graffiti on the door and the bottom floor was extremely dirty. However, upstairs, the hostel itself was well-kept and clean. I didn't have wi-fi while I was there, despite the advertisement that they have free wi-fi. I was on a business trip so it was a bit inconvenient and I spent a lot of time at the Burger King next door using wi-fi. Overall, not a bad place to stay.

Some great other guests (of all walks of life) which you can meet in the communal kitchen/lounge area. Fantastic staff and a very hospitable host. Just the sort of place you want to be when you want cheap and friendly but more private that a hostel.

• Oskar Gutzmann (8/5): Good hotel for travelers - The hotel was fine, the price was ok but the entrance an the WIFI sigal was not so good in the Room. The personal was really nice and the location of the hotel is ideal because is not to far from the center so it was easy to move through berlin.
• Eva (10/5): More than expected. - Friendly owners, big comfortable room and access to large kitchen, privacy, great position with coffee shops, restaurants and shops at the door. Great value for money. Highly recommended.
