- Berryer (1/5): Terrible! To avoid, if you want to spend less just get a hostel. This is worst hotel ever. - Honestly nothing!
- overpriced for what you get (3x as much as a hostel for 2x more noise (train and motorways next to it)
- smells like piss. Absolutely horrible they should changed the carpets…
- 1 shared bathroom (a bath) that is disgusting.
- don’t event want to hold you bags if you arrive early or leave later during the day.
- room is dirty and smelly.
- Walls a full or marks and stains. Everything:

- Alejandro (1/5): There were homeless and drugged-out people at the property. The place smelled awful. Beware! 🤢☣️ - The location. There were homeless and drugged-out people at the property. The place smelled awful. Didn't get a refund despite asking for one at check-in due to evident health & safety concerns.
- rifkind (1/5): Avoid at all costs - I like the location right above a legendary music club. That’s why I tried to stay in the hotel. That was the only good thing. The manager started harassing me because he said I was bringing too much of my own property into the room I had rented. He started screaming at me. I asked him if there are specific rules about how much of my own stuff I can put in the room while I have paid to be there. He said I don’t care. I’m in charge. He was following me into my room yelling at me I left after eight days and they have ignored my request for a refund.
- Awa (10/5): Budgetary masterpiece - People keep complaining about shared bathrooms and loud noise, but people complain about everything. For 80 dollars per night with taxed and everything, this was a steal for downtown San Francisco. Very clean, sink in room, and a nice shared separate bathroom and toilet on the floor. You can use the toilets/bathrooms on the other floors if the one on your floor is occupied. I guess I'm just used to shared bathrooms as I lived in a dorm for a year that had this, but if you are your daddy's princess this is not for you. I saved money here that I could blow on other fun stuff in the city instead. On Friday and Saturday the bass of the songs are very strong, u just gotta turn the TV up from 10 pm to 12 am. But if you are out at that time u will be okay. Or better yet, just go have fun at the club yourself!

- Ainur (1/5): Except the fact that is close to union station it’s not worth even to stay for couple hours - Nothing Dust, smoked rooms, sounds from the place under the hotel , windows are old and it was so cold in the room
- FamilyB12 (2/5): -
- Tim (10/5): Great time - Location 0
- Adaline (1/5): I would not stay here again. The price is cheap but not worth the experience. - The area is not good. Many homeless outside the property and construction so it is very loud. SHARED BATHROOM! One toilet and one shower for everyone to share. It is crowed inside the hotel itself. The room I stayed in was tiny and the bed barely fit us both. The outlets do not work so I wasn’t able to plug anything in. NO AC!
There was trash on the floors, unswept. There was trash and food crumbs inside the drawers.

- Maxim (5/5): Cost-effective stay in SF SOMA's convenient location for transport and food - The SOMA location between the Caltrain, Gus's supermarket, Philz and Whole Foods is quite comfortable in terms of getting around and getting food. It's a classic SF/inn-style building with a storied live performance bar venue on the first floor. It ain't hotel, since the bathroom and shower are shared, but it had private sink in the room. The shared bathroom was quite clean. The chair was covered with a plastic bag, presumably as a consequence or in preparation for some gruel business.
- Krit (5/5): - Location Location next to highway and windows are old, old building, smell, building is collapsing, sheets were not really good.
- Maria (9/5): I really enjoyed my stay, very cozy away from. Love that can watch tv as well - Bathroom was a great size N/a

- Melissa (7/5): g - The bed was clean and cozy. It was almost everything I needed, really - close proximity to the concert venue, a bed to sleep, and a sink to wash up in. I was surprised there was only one toilet and one shower on the hall. I decided not to take a shower - I didn't have flip flops - just precautionary.... it looked clean enough, I just didn't feel comfortable. Of course I had to use the toilet a couple times, and it wasn't too bad to walk a couple doors down the hall. Especially for the price - which was a huge reason I picked the Utah Inn, I got what I needed most - a bed within walking distance of the venue that I could sleep in after a late night concert. It felt like the location was on the good side of the edge of a rough part of town... places to eat were down the road a bit, so all I could do was buy a couple of snacks from the gas station. I felt safe enough. The staff fella was kind and I saw only one other adult with a little child down the hall while I was there. I'm guessing it might be owned and operator by a small family. Again, all was well enough. :) Satified. g
- Jack (1/5): Terrible decision, checked out immediately. Don’t recommend this place at all. - Nothing. God awful. Smells like cigarettes in the rooms. No Ac. The cigarette smell in the rooms. No ac and the fan barely worked. Everything old and ran down. Every time you take a step the floor and stairs creek. No bathroom in the rooms.
- Iulia Sara (10/5): - Giving the price, everything was okay.
Walking distance from the Chase Center. If you don't feel like walking, there's also a direct tram that takes you there. The light in the room was not really bright. During daytime, there was not a big difference between the natural light and the one in the room.
The socket by the bed was only working from a certain angle.
- SAMUEL (6/5): -
- Marahy (1/5): -
- Carolina Minami (9/5): Feel SF. - It has everything I need, and it was the most price efficient place in SF close to the Caltrain station. The shared shower room didn’t have foot towel, but maybe it’s better than sharing with other guests…? I wish they’ve provided me one.
- Boisseau (6/5): Bien - Bonne emplacement La propreté des espaces communs (douche et toilette)
Et nous avons eu un drap avec un troue de cigarettes
- Flor (1/5): it was horrible and worker was so rude and racist - nothing nothing
- Rayssa (1/5): Dirty but close - It is close to train and not that far from city Sheets had stains and cigarette burns, floor and facilities has trash and debris
- Cantu (1/5): Never coming back. - The guy at the desk was so rude. He let us know that the bathroom was shared for an entire floor and we used it before going into the room. We went in at the same time and handled everything we needed to do before heading to the room since the bathroom is shared. Our key didn’t work so we went to let him know and he said “well you were in the bathroom for 30 minutes, you didn’t even try to go to the room. I was watching you on the cameras” uncomfortable on so many levels. We were just tired and wanted to sleep. We ended up leaving after 30 of being in the room and stayed elsewhere. The sink was plugged and the floor was sticky. Gross experience all around.
- Jennings (3/5): Rushed uncontrollable and not positive - Well the location I guess. Well I dint like how dismissive the manager was aka the guy who checked us in he also lied about me getting my deposit back asap. When we weren’t told until we arrived about that damn deposit now I can’t fly out to my sisters funeral because I’m fu*?ing broke and can’t afford a flight….

I was trying to get my refund back, but the manager never tried to give me a refund, but I tried to see the Airbnb the one they’re supposed to give me the refund when Airbnb are waiting for the response to verify that I didn’t say they never replied to Airbnb. They never answered the phone or check their email. What a scam. I’ll let them keep the money, but I will never come back again. He’s really dirty in the roaches inside. Smell or odor

- Adams (9/5): For the price, this hostel surpassed my expectations. - Since it was an economy hostel, and not necessarily in the best San Fransico neighborhood, the property and location were very surprisingly pleasant. Having only been to SF one time over 20 years ago, this was a nice return. I was glad to see that the room looked exactly as advertised. It was easy to check in and check out, and the building felt secure. Most pleasantly surprising were the shared restrooms. The restroom was clean and sanitary, and felt like home? (ok, maybe not like home, but you get it) : ) I did not really like the TV. I bring my laptop and tablet for business trips anyway, so I use the Wi-Fi to watch Netflix or whatever streaming services I am into at that moment, and I don't usually watch hotel TV. Still, this one had a remote that did not really work, and it only had access to a few local channels. This does not detract from any future stays; I am just filling in this section. Otherwise, for the price and convenient location next to shopping, dining, public transportation, and the beautiful downtown landscape right outside my window, I could not have expected better.

- Muhammad (1/5): Qorst hotel to stay i dont recommend tgey will not give u coffee and even hot water, heater is very - Nothing just 1 shared washroom for whole floor,
No daiky room services
Bad staff Everything like their behaviour is worst, indian family is there their attitude is very bad and support for tgeir customers
- Marisa (1/5): Don’t do it worse experience I gave it a 1 star - The bathroom and shower were the only updated features the hostel had that were approvable. The good thing is that it was only 8 min walk from the convention center. First of all the pics on the website are very deceptive because the room I rented was nothing like the pic I saw online. Second the staff or owners of the broken down building were not friendly at all. The TV in the room was not working properly and the cable service kept twitching out in addition to no closet in the room not even a small refrigerator or even a comparable dresser to put my clothes in I was told those amenities were reserved for the deluxe room I just about started laughing at this women when she mentioned a deluxe room this deluxe room had no closet no refrigerator and the place is just an old building with no elevator mind you I was on the third floor and to make matters worse there’s a bar situation right below the establishment and one night I could not believe it a rock band the likes of Metallica played right below where my room was located till around 1:1:00 pm then the band and some of the drunken patrones had to engage in conversation till around 1:00 am outside the building. The worse place ever. The gall of these people wanting to hold $250 for deposit in case of any damage to the room are you kidding me the room was quite a mess and under par condition to even require a deposit for a place that didn’t even have a closet let alone an elevator if your in a wheelchair this place will not be suitable for you. I will never again pay a dime to stay at this location.
I took the liberty of taking a video of the room when I arrived and when I left so no accusations of damage to their already deplorable building could be pinned on me. I had no other choice but to stay there cause the price of hotels in San Francisco are off the chain but never again will I stay there. No internet no community kitchen no elevator no closet no refrigerator no dresser no way. I took videos not pictures and in hindsight I wish I did take pics.
- Ali (1/5): Next to a busy, loud road. No bathroom/shower in room, shared in the hallway. They did not have our confirmation bec -
- Max (10/5): -
- Rapagnani (1/5): - Absolutely horrendous hotel. Do not stay here. Everything about it was not good. The space, the room, the smell, the area.
- Weiwei (4/5): - The garbage from the previous tenants was still there when I got into the room, dirty duvet . I’d upload photos if there was the option.
- Harpreet (2/5): - Not properly information about sharing washrooms like 6 bedrooms sharing one washroom
- Sebastian (1/5): -
- Abdiel (10/5): -
- Jeffrey (10/5): Consistent - Economical - Central - Easy for short stays. Parking around the corner. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
- ricardo (10/5): - The host was accommodating
- Fabian (2/5): - I wasn’t expecting much but it didn’t mention I’d have to share bathrooms with the floor. It was kind of a haunted house experience. The shower was full of hairs I had to wash out before using yuck. Wouldn’t book again even if it was affordable.
- Nicole (4/5): - Would not ever return.
- Tom (7/5): This place is as advertised. Less expensive and had downsides which were clearly explained. - We had a fairly good size room and it was nice to have a sink. The location was excellent for our needs. We were in a room that was right on the outside corner, and it was very bright and loud. Some blackout shades would have helped.
- John (2/5): - The hotel is absolutely disgusting, there is a horrible mold odor in the entire building that left me with respiratory issues, the property looks like the homeless have been living in it for 40 years. Do not stay here unless you are quite literally homeless and trying to stay off the streets.
- Jeffrey (10/5): Consistency - Friendly staff, clean, location, affordable and consistent.
- Corey (2/5): Upgrade to crack house or Motel 6 instead - Unsafe, unclean, noisy, and should be condemned. I've stayed in some pretty shady places all over the country and this was hands down one of the absolute worst. Windows don't close or lock. Door shuts but has 1/2" gap and easily opened without a key. Deadbolt inoperable. Small items stolen while at work, front desk complained when asked to review the security footage to my door for the day. Then, repeatedly skipped video when staff approached my door.
Hotels sits above train line and two separate bars/ clubs. So, if one doesn't keep you awake another will.
Other less than acceptable but less relevant "features" - room is listed as shared bath with 1 other room, 7 rooms share 1 bathroom. No hangers, soap, hand towels, or toilet paper provided. Furniture is unusable; torn/ worn and appears to have come from the dump.
**I'll return to add pics from my phone (same as my Google review).

- John (10/5): Great, no frills place if you are on a short trip and staying near Oracle Park/Downtown! - Im a single, white male, 36 years old, who just traveled up to SF from LA for the Dodgers/Giants game. I just needed a close, economic place to sleep for a few hours after the game before my flight back to LA the next morning. The Utah was such a perfect fit for that! Close to Oracle, easy to be dropped off/picked up by Uber/Lyft/Waymo/Taxi/Etc, and close to the train station too. You check in, get a card that beeps you into the door, and then drop the card off at the front desk. Boom, that easy. There was nothing I didn't like.

- Benjamin (8/5): - Nice hotel for what’s is, surprising good view of the entire up and coming fashion district of SF.
- Zhu (1/5): - The room doesn’t have a private toilet or a shower. If you need to use the bathroom at night, you have to go out to the public restroom. This is simply unbelievable. The room doesn’t have a private toilet or a shower. If you need to use the bathroom at night, you have to go out to the public restroom. This is simply unbelievable. The curtains are full of holes, and the room smells really bad. All the furniture seems to be a hundred years old, so shabby that it reminds me of a horror movie. Downstairs there’s a bar, and it’s so noisy that if you don’t have earplugs, you simply won’t be able to sleep.
- Sean (10/5): - Nice.
- Zachary (8/5): - Quick, easy and cheap way to stay in the city for Giants games.

- Rian (6/5): - The hotel served its purpose well for me as an inexpensive option near the Mission Bay neighborhood. However, as it is located directly adjacent to I-80, the bedrooms are quite noisy, and it can be difficult to sleep. There is a particular metal plate on the street right outside the building that makes a loud clang every time a car drives over it. The facilities were reasonably well-kept, although the absence of a sink in the toilet room was a bit inconvenient. The rooms had sinks but no paper towels, which required me to make trips down the hall to fetch toilet paper if I needed to wipe down the faucet or mirror. Overall, I think I got what I paid for and found that the Utah Inn fits into the niche of a budget option in its neighborhood.
- Matthew (6/5): - It was adequate. Would have liked a dresser or closet to put clothes away or hang them. Room was really just a bed and sink.
- Kathy (10/5): - Close transportation...Variety of diners walkable distance..Its South of Market so clubs and music..no parking..but clean rooms with shared baths at a reasonable price.
