- Annelisa (8/5): Great gym, good location - The gym was amazing, buffet dinner was also good value for money, location was great, close by the shops and restaurants. Within pick up points for tours. My room and the corridor really smelt of stale cigarettes. Even after opening the windows for 2 days I could still smell it. The swimming pool was also completely closed.
- Jeong eun (9/5): very nice, comfortable hotel - clean & spacious room, comfortable bed, nice view( 9 floor),4-6 complimentary bottles of water every day fixed rain shower head a little uncomfortable, hair dryer a little inconvenient to use ( for women)
- Michael (9/5): - Staff were really helpful. Polite. One even gave me her friends contact details so i could book a guided tour to the great wall of china. Not a major but the toilet was a nice western stlye one, the design however made it difficult for a substantial flush to occur! I needed to flush it twice every time and you dont just have to push it but hold it down. Small detail but quite anoying.

- Bayan (8/5): - Good location. Clean and comfortable There was a hassle at the reception when we checked out. During check in we left the deposit, specifically telling the staff that we are leaving the deposit in cash and wanted it back during the check out as well in cash. However, during check out they returned it thru bank transfer without even asking us. Knowing how long it usually takes with international transfers between banks, we were of course frustrated. Fortunately after long discussions (difficult due to lack of English skills of the staff) they managed to cancel the bank transfer and returned the cash. This is minor detail, but it spoiled the impression.

- globaltrotter90 (10/5): Exceptional care and service - Potter Wang at concierge was incredibly helpful during our stay and really stood out. We needed help sending an item and nobody else seemed to know what to do, but Potter stepped in and sorted everything out without any fuss. He was calm, clear, and took care of the situation like a pro. It made a big difference, especially when we were feeling stuck. You can tell he genuinely cares and knows what he’s doing. It’s not easy to find people who go that extra mile, but Potter definitely did. He made the whole process smooth and stress-free. Honestly, he’s the kind of person that makes you feel like you’re in good hands. He’s not just good at his job, he made us feel looked after and supported. Potter is a real credit to the hotel and made a strong impression on us. Thanks again, Potter. We really appreciate everything.

- TheKodiak (8/5): Very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast - Very nice hotel, located in a good area. Plenty of restaurants and shopping nearby. Buffet breakfast offered both eastern and western cuisine and was included in our rate, but it was reasonable if not included in room rate. We also ate dinner one night at the hotel, I'd say it was good not great, but they did serve Peking Duck. Only negative was that the room we had was on the 15th floor and it was very warm. We requested a fan and were provided with one right away, which made it a little better.
- Botir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne-Christine (6/5): Typical Chinese hotel (Luxury type) - Average good hotel in general, with common style to this category of hotel in China. Large room and bathroom. Breakfast offers both Chinese and international food. Good location quite central. Shopping mall walking distance (just around the corner) with restaurants (like Blue frog, german pub and lots of small fast food type restaurants).
Bar/club in the hotel which seems having shortly dressed 'hostesses'....which I don't like! So old fashioned this kind of entertainment and out of modernity!
- KeithinSydney2011 (10/5): Lol..got yelled at in pool - Lobely property. Close to the subway. Great buffet breakfast. 1st room had non working AC so they bave us a suite on top floor. Perfect service. Only downside is pool area. Non friendly locals working in that area are most unhelpful and also screamed at me when i tried to go in pool without bathing cap.was my mistake but they could have been nicer... small complaint in an otherwise perfect stay. Buffet VERY good.
- chispal2017 (10/5): great!! - Super location, by Metro to the all city. With ap you can try even by bus. Excellent breakfast with local and international offers, Don't forget the cap for the pool. Not the all staff speaks english, but they do their best. Enjoy it!!
- hossam0078 (8/5): nice hotel - . i reserved vip room in floor 16 it has a free pool but you must have a head cap
the breakfast is good , room service is great
the only problem was that the majority of staff not speak English
the staff is very friendly and polite
- cbema (10/5): Fantastic hotel - Wonderful hotel with very professional staff.
Here are my top points:
Great location, but note that if you struggling to walk - its about 10 min walk to subway station.
It's very close to 'Place 'mall, which has the biggest led display. Its also close to CCTV, both walking distance.
Walmart is 5 min walk to the right of hotel.
Beds are very comfortable.
Gym and pool are great, (bring a swimming cap with);
Shame that jacuzzi is only a hot tub (a warm tub, not a jacuzzi).
Breakfast was great.
2 bottles of water provided each day.
WIFI is available but it doesn't let you to connect properly to western sites, including Google. WIFI often says: connected, not internet, meaning you can use only WeChat or Chinese apps/ websites.
My family had to connect to my hotspot, to my sim card purchased in advance on eBay with unlimited data.
Would definitely stay here again, had a wonderful time. Thank you.
- Tiinnaa (8/5): Good located hotel - The hotel has a great location and is a great base for sightseeing in Beijing. The room was spacious and clean but would need some refreshment. The room we got was probably smoking room in the past because the smell of cigarettes was still strongly felt in the room. Probably because of the old carpet. The double bed was very comfortable with comfortable bedding. The bathroom was also very spacious, clean, with quality bathroom cosmetics. The breakfast was delicious and there were many different cuisines available. The staff were friendly and always willing to help. The hotel also has a very big and very nice and clean pool and jacuzzi. We were more than happy with the choice of hotel.
- aliciagorzen (10/5): Absolutely loved this place!! - So happy I booked this hotel. The location was perfect, close to tourist stuff, close to a couple of subway lines, and buses, and the area was quiet and felt very safe. The staff was wonderful, particularly our maid,罗丽华. She helped me to use the coffee machine, which made amazing coffee by the way, and she made sure we had plenty of water for our time in Beijing, as it was very hot there at the time of our visit! The room was fantastic, extremely comfortable beds, very clean, pristine, even. Amazing shower, with a raindrop shower head. The soaps and hair care products were great quality, and even the towels were perfect!
The pool and gym were also top notch. I honestly never wanted to leave, this place was so great. The pool was clean, beautiful, had life guards, and was a comfortable temperature. There are also some large hot tubs to enjoy as well, soooo relaxing. But do note, a swimming cap is required to go into the pool. This is common around China, particularly in the finer hotels. Don’t think of it as a negative, though. It’s a sign of good sanitation. When you are finished, they have a wonderfully equipped locker room, with sauna, showers, hairdryers, etc. They even have a machine to spin your bathing suit after you are done swimming!! They really thought of everything at this place!
Other things to take note of: if you do not have breakfast included, don’t worry, there are tons of great places to get food nearby. We walked out of the hotel, turned right, and walked about 100 meters, and found an awesome Chinese breakfast place with all you can eat for ¥15.
This place was quite honestly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed! I can’t imagine giving this place a bad review! This place would be 3X the cost if it were anywhere else. I thought it was absolutely brilliant, with great value for money! I will 100% stay here again the next time I’m in Beijing!!
- DallasNinja17 (8/5): Great hotel and great for Western English speaking travelers - This was the first hotel of the China Tour we booked through a company in Seattle, WA called Holiday ChinaChina. This seemed to be a central hotel to many of our activities for the 3 days and 2 nights we were there. The breakfast was one of the best on the trip. They have a very nice fitness gym and a table tennis room. The pool and hot tub looked nice as well although I didn't use them. The staff was great and very welcoming to English speaking western travelers.
- apple_busakorn (10/5): Good hotel to stay in Beijing - We choose this Hotel because we want to stay in a five star hotel but yet located in a local area. This hotel for our criteria! Good location, easy to have breakfast in local restaurants nearby. However it is a bit walk to closest Subway.
Hotel had good facilities. Pool and gym are the hi light. You needed a swimming cap to swim so bring one of you have. Room is in a good standard!!
Many reviews said that they have problems with staff not speak Chinese. We use Google translation and it works fine!
- kevinz46 (8/5): The hotel definitely have quality in mind! - Hotel's in Beijing are all pretty overpriced. I did some research beforehand and landed at Kuntai Royal Hotel. Price for this 5 star hotel is pretty reasonable id say with the deals I found online.
Cleanliness: This is an old hotel but it held up pretty well despite being 13 yrs old. The room was clean, bathroom was nicely lit up and no sewage or any bad smell whatsoever. Have a bath and a separate shower which is always nice.
The room, however, had an incense stick smell to it which I personally don't enjoy but after being in the room a bit you soon get used to it. So if you are used to incense stick scent then it shouldn't be a problem for you.
Cons: One of the cons I'd say is the carpet, it does seem old and hasn't been changed for a while, which is something I think the Hotel can work to replace.
Room Amenities: The hotel room amenities were great, really enjoyed their bathroom amenities such as their shampoo and conditioner which the cleaning crew keeps you stocked up on them every day.
Breakfast: I didn't pay for any breakfast at the hotel during my stay but if you are someone who doesn't like Chinese style breakfast then definitely pay for the hotel's international breakfast, every day from 6 am to 10 am (might be to 0930). If you pay for your breakfast the day before then it will only cost you 100RMB per person.
Free Parking: As a guest to the Hotel, you also get free underground parking which is nice if one were to travel to Beijing and want to rent a car, then you will have a place to park.
Nearby locations: Big shopping malls like UTown is 3 min walk from the hotel with lots of shops and restaurant in the mall. You got 24h Mcdonalds (2min) and KFC (5min) nearby. Sanlitun shopping and bar area are also within 20-25min walking depending on how fast or slow you walk. but taxi takes around 10min with traffic.
Public transportation: If you are someone who likes to take buses or the metro during your travel you will like it when there's a big bus stop 5min from the hotel. BUT nearest Metro station is around a 10min walk. since the hotel is located in the middle of two stations... so if you don't want to walk every day to the metro then consider some other hotel next to the metro station.
Overall: Great hotel for what you pay for, quality & helpfulness of staff are good. The room is clean and tidy.
- Bake69 (6/5): Pay for the Suite - The suite is really nice, plenty of room and not super expensive. If you're a foreigner, and you need breakfast, you're better off going to McDonalds down the street. Its a nice walk, about a mile. You walk across a huge intersection. Its worth the walk
- Valhalior (8/5): Close to a local mall and restaurants - Pros:
-room fully equipped with additional elements like ironing set, kettle, coffee maker, desk, fridge
-fast and reliable Internet connection
-large rooms
-not far from the airport
Cons:
-none observed but it was a one-night stay
- NatashaGR (4/5): First Time in China - The only good thing about this place was the comfort of the bed, the variety of breakfast, the very helpful concierge and located around the corner from a mall. The business center is not free; there’s karaoke every night until 2AM and can be heard on the 9th floor, where I stayed; me and other members of my travel group were not admitted to said karaoke and not given a reason as to why; the spa had mold on every ceiling in each room; their website says no swimming without caps yet some were swimmming without caps and a few in my party were denied entry bc of no cap; not sure of their smoking policy but our room smelled like smoke and we could not switch due to their being sold out. I do not recommend.
- AandEJarrett (8/5): Neat, tidy and a great location - Really enjoyed my stay here. The location is quite central to most tourist spots if you enjoy walking and getting a feel for the city. If not there are transit stations close by. The staff were very hospitable and helpful, and their English was fine.
Rooms were quite nice, nothing extravagant but a good level of quality.
- Lusonatka (10/5): One of the best hotels in Beijing - I liked this hotel very much. Located in a safe surrounding, close to the market with Chinese goods and metro station not far from the hotel It offes a very good breakfast (suitable for European taste), a big room with a big bed, cleaning every day. They also bring you a piece of Chinese fruit for a snack every day. There are teams of Aeroflot and other airlines, accomodating there. You may also bargin a lower deposit for the room
- colorasia1 (6/5): Rip off Cons at every turn - Although the rooms are quite nice and spacious and the hotel is conveniently situated the are little cons you need to be aware of.
Free swimming pool? Well not exactly... You are not allowed to swim unless you buy their 80 yuan swim cap. So 4 people = 320 yuan.
Next don't listen to reception and pay for all your meals at reception so as you get their considerable discounts, they will tell you no need just pay when you go to eat and if you do be prepared to pay an extra 50%. These are just a few things we come across but I am sure there are many more money making scams.
Non smoking rooms smell of smoke.
- VomF6 (8/5): Downtown Beijing - The hotel is very conveniently located downtown Bejing. Also a bit old, the hotel still is worth the 5 star classification. Rooms are big and comfortable with a nice desk to do some work. Internet is working well. Gym and pool is also a nice extra!
- Dominik125 (6/5): Average five star hotel - The rooms are nice but nothing exceptional if you take into account that it is a five star hotel. Breakfats offers a variety of food and choices. If you want to use the swimming be aware that you need a cap.
During my entire stay the heating system was way too hot and there was always a smell of cigarette coming into my room.
