Guest Reviews
- Jon (10/5): Diamond property - Connie and Greg were amazing, felt like home, and the breakfast was out of this world
We will be back as often as possible
- Donna (10/5): - Gary and Connie were the perfect hosts! Breakfast was incredible. I highly recommend staying here. We will definitely book the B&B again when in Ouray! Thank you Gary and Connie for a delightful stay!
- James (10/5): - Highly recommend
- Jeff (10/5): - The owners are wonderful! The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom was the same. Breakfast was fantastic and Greg and Connie are wonderful! You won’t regret staying and I hope we can make it back again soon.
- terrihB2716HM (10/5): Great time in Ouray - We really enjoyed our stay with Connie and Gregg.
The room was so clean and well maintained.
Connie is a great cook, we loved the breakfast every morning and sitting talking with both of them were so interesting and gave us such good information about the area, where to go and what to see. We loved our time there, highly recommend.
- Andrew (10/5): - Bridal Veil B&B was such an excellent place to stay. It was like we were staying with family. The accommodations were clean, cozy, and comfortable. The location was ideal as well, it was close to just about everything. And of course, the breakfast was just fabulous.
- Lee (10/5): - This was possibly the most unique (in a positive sense) travel experiences we have ever had. First of all, the hosts have created a B&B out of the ground floor of their townhouse. The unit can be rented as either a one or two bedroom unit, depending on each guest's needs. The unit is comfortable, clean and modern, and has it's own entrance. Parking is a non-issue since you are the only guest. It's located across from the hot springs and visitors center. We walked into downtown Ouray during the day (took about 10-15 minutes), but felt more comfortable driving at night.
The breakfast (which was fabulous) is served in the host's dining room, one floor up from the guest area.
Connie and Greg (the hosts) are friendly and welcoming. Greg is a retired teacher, mathematician, climbing and canyoneering instructor, general outdoor enthusiast, former US Marine, and Viet Nam veteran. Connie is a transplant from Hong Kong. The story of how they met, and later reconnected, is straight out of Hollywood. Greg and Connie are an absolute wealth of information about the area. They can advise you on everything from the best hikes (in Ouray, Telluride, Ridway, Black Canyon of the Gunnison NP), the best restaurants, the best sightseeing, and the best shopping.
When we checked out on the last day we felt as though we were saying goodbye to two old friends.
- Deborah (10/5): - Greg and Connie take great pride in their work and presentation and go to great lengths to accommodate all your needs.
- Timothy (10/5): - Greg and Connie were wonderful hosts. Access to property was easy, breakfasts were excellent and both owners were easy to visit with at breakfast and during the day.
- Go63169341049 (10/5): Great experience - The hosts are very nice and the fresh cooked Breakfast is delices in there private rooms upstairs. Very familyer Atmosphäre. The rooms was nice and the bathroom too. Tastefully interiour!
Easy reach to the big waterfall, old town and the Hot Spring Bath.
We Loved it.
- Relax67003359653 (10/5): Mostly recommendable!! - We have been with them for 2 nights. We just felt welcome home to the family. Gary and Conn just are amazing persons and hosts. Room has high hotelstandard fulfills all wishes. Try the breakfast.. You will love it
- Beverly (10/5): - Owners are extremely friendly! Breakfast was so good & highly enjoyed talking with them! Will definitely stay here again when in the area!
- Patti (8/5): - Perfect hosts and delicious breakfasts
- david (10/5): - Greg and Connie are great hosts. The breakfast is gourmet and so good! We loved conversations with them both on travels and the area. All the suggestions for our sightseeing were spot on and we did them all without any hesitation. All were well worth it. My wife teared up when we were leaving as she said it was like leaving family. Such nice folks to be around. A must stay in Ouray Colorado. We definitely will be back!
- yurubutugralb (10/5): Immaculate, comfortable, friendly, quiet - Delicious breakfast ("one sweet, one protein -- every day" -- said Connie) with juice, coffee etc. Friendly, helpful fascinating host couple. Quiet, clean room. Beautiful orchids, bromeliads, all sorts of flowers inside. Really felt like a visit with family. Plentiful Keurig coffees right outside room.
>>Wanted to write what TripAdvisor considers a "great review," so I struggled to come up with something that I "liked least" ... the best I could come up with is that we improvised disposable coasters for our drink bottles, but who can blame the hosts for not encouraging drink bottles (like I said -- it is immaculate :) ) <<
- Shaina (10/5): - Very clean, nice, very nice people. And the breakfast was awesome! Great place to stay.
- 279ryann (8/5): Clean and cozy - Very friendly people, nice rooms and well kept. The breakfast was great!
It was a little strange that the hallway connected to the upstairs where the hosts lived and there isn't a way to close it off.
It was also a little bright in the morning, but overall a great experience
- david (10/5): - Great Hospitality. Excellent breakfast. Great tips on what to see in the area. Very clean
- debrao570 (10/5): Great Hosts - Greg and Connie were the best hosts. They were wonderful to talk to and gave us a great deal of information about the area and what to go see. Connie is an amazing chef and our breakfasts were amazing. Felt more like I had gone to stay in the home of a good friend. Everything was very nice.
- travelchief07 (10/5): Truly an Enjoyable Stay - We thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay. Connie and Greg could not have been more gracious and welcoming. We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was fabulous. Accommodations were spotless. Privacy was never an issue. When departed early the last morning Connie made sure we had a breakfast treat to take with us on the road. We were were truly spoiled.
- katherinemackf (10/5): Amazing location, great company, wonderful breakfast - My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of booking this B&B and we will definitely be back. The owners are so friendly and knowledgeable, offering great suggestions to do/eat in Ouray and neighboring towns! We had to take a minor trip to the ER early in the morning one of the days and they went above and beyond to try to help us out and even pushed back breakfast several hours so that we could eat a hot meal when we got back! The daily breakfast was all so tasty! We were talking about how it was some of the best breakfast we had on our trip. They also kept everything so clean which put us at ease during this COVID-19 time! Thank you for everything!
- 39kyled (10/5): Wonderful Ouray Bed and Breakfast - We had the best experience at Bridal veil Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were very clean and the bed was quite comfortable. The owners lived upstairs and we had the whole downstairs (ground level with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom and a quiet couch in a sitting area to read a good book). We stayed here 3 nights and had a wonderful gourmet breakfast every morning at the time that worked for us. The owners were very friendly and sat to talk with us about our yesterday's activities and our plans for that day at breakfast. They were full of knowledge of the area and suggestions for activities or routes to go and even dining in the area. They were most generous and helpful. This bed and breakfast is probably 1 mile from the town of Ouray but we never had a problem finding parking downtown. It was very quiet and on the main road into town.
If we return to the area, we will most definitely stay here again.
- 34alistairt (10/5): Excellent Affordable Place to Stay - Greg and Connie are very accommodating for your needs. Greg's discussions about local attractions and history of the area are very informative. Connie's breakfasts are exquisite providing a great basis for a long day of hiking.
- Mary (10/5): Wonderful place. - Great little place to stay, wonderful couple. The room was comfortable and the breakfast was amazing. Would highly recommend staying if you can get in. Would stay again if in the area and have the chance.
- Joe (10/5): - very nice room with great view of mountains . exceptional breakfasts.
- Karin (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable! Connie and Greg are so nice. They gave us advice on where to go for fun activities and where to eat.
- hoovaire (10/5): A great BnB that is also affordable - This BnB has interesting hosts who are friendly and enjoy a good conversation. They also know the area and surrounding activities (hikes, drives, scenic views, etc.) quite well and are more than happy to recommend. The rooms are immaculate. It is easy to find, and it is about a mile from the center of town. The river trail is accessible via the commercial campground that is across the highway.
- RobH2157 (10/5): A+ highly recommend! Very comfortable with excellent breakfasts by Connie and excellent area touring guidance by Greg - A+! Very comfortable with excellent breakfasts by Connie and excellent area recommendations and touring guidance by Greg. We are planning on returning and bringing some some more family with us next time.
- Mikaela (10/5): They go over and beyond! - I had a wonderful grounding relaxing time at my stay at bridal veil with Connie and Greg. They are both super hospitable and the rooms are beautiful.
Because I practice intermittent fasting, which means I don’t eat any food until one or 2 PM every day, I was not able to participate in Connie’s infamous breakfast. So she baked me a loaf of zucchini bread for me to eat later that morning! Let me tell you, it was delicious!
I will definitely be staying there again next time I am in Ouray 😊
- carolyn (10/5): simple but comfortable. - Everything was perfect. Hosts were friendly and knowledgeable and the breakfast was excellent.
- Paul (10/5): Life is great in Ouray! - Great comfortable, private room, like new. Could be 1 or 2 bedroom for a family or friends traveling together. Location central to Ouray. Breakfast was lovely, so much so we lingered talking with the hosts for over 1.5 hrs! Great local advice on sites to see and best way to get there, as well as great dinner recommendation. You can't go wrong with this one.
- Laura D. (10/5): Lovely - Such a good getaway. Very excellent breakfast.
- lindahR8632DO (10/5): Little gem in Ouray, Co - My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our getaway here in July. The hosts Gregg and Connie could not have been more welcoming. Connie’s two course breakfasts were scrumptious, severed on beautiful table settings each morning.
Our hosts were very knowledgeable about the area with great recommendations for sightseeing and dining in the area. Little touches like fresh flowers in the room made for a special stay.
On conversation at breakfasts were an enjoyable part of our stay.
Will definitely be coming back. Loved our stay.🥰
- Susan (10/5): Cozy stay - Connie and Greg were great hosts. They made us feel welcome from the start. Their place was very clean and comfortable. They gave us tips on things to see in the area and suggested another stop on the way to our final destination. (We loved Black Canyon National Park!) Breakfast was amazing! We enjoyed it as well as the company. We hope to return.
- johnpK3938DV (10/5): Perfect Night's Sleep and Amazing Breakfast - Book it! Greg and Connie are terrific hosts with an immaculately clean house and guest quarters. They provided discounted tickets to the nearby hot springs pool and a delicious two-course breakfast in the morning. We enjoyed their company as well. 5 stars.
- littleatom (10/5): Clean, Quiet, And A Warm Welcome From Caring Hosts! - Having never been to Ouray, I wasn't really sure where to stay. The positive reviews of Bridal Veil Bed and Breakfast led me to this lovely spot in a gorgeous part of Colorado. The hosts, Connie and Greg, could not be more welcoming. They genuinely care that your stay is perfect, and will go out of their way to be of assistance. They can give you information about pretty much anything you want to do or any place you want to go in the area - giving great suggestions for places you would not have even heard of.
The breakfast was outstanding. They even picked up some almond milk for me to have with my tea. (I called in advance to make a special request.)
The bed was comfortable and the room was so quiet!! I loved opening the blind in the morning to see the beautiful view to the rock mountain across the street. They're located up on a little hill to the left as you enter town from the north onto Main Street, just a short walk from the public hot springs. It's very convenient.
The water pressure is great. Every room is immaculately clean. And the wifi works perfectly, too!
With such caring hosts, I would definitely stay again. I highly recommend the Bridal Veil Bed and Breakfast!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Conni und Greg sind phantastische Gastgeber. Wir bekamen Empfehlungen zu Besichtigungen und sie fuhren mit uns für 2 h zu einem Wasserfall. Richtig toll. Das Frühstück war sehr liebevoll zubereitet. Die Zimmer sehr sauber.
Die Unterkunft kann man zu 100% empfehlen.
Danke
- JPetrosino (10/5): Charming B&B - The Bridal Veil B&B was extremely accommodating. Rooms are comfortable and very well maintained. The breakfast is incredible! The breakfast included a 2 course meal, one savory dish and one sweet dish. Connie is a wonderful cook. I will definetly be returning the next visit to Ouray. Thank you Greg and Connie I look forward to my next stay.
- staledale (10/5): Lovely hosts - Connie and Greg were fabulous hosts. Their location is not far from town, well-appointed and clean. There are two bedrooms to choose from in the basement. We chose the one on the right because it has a mini-fridge. There is also a nice, large bathroom. Connie's breakfasts were absolutely amazing. Greg's knowledge of the area regarding canyoneering was very helpful too. While their upstairs living area is not completely walled-off and you can hear their TV if you're in the common area downstairs, we would definitley stay here again if in Ouray. Lovely!
- BlackBeltJJ (10/5): AMAZING!!!! - This place is the best! Me and my family stayed here for one day and we enjoying every minute of it. It is super easy to access from the main road and very close to the downtown. The area is super cozy and homey. I slept like a log, and woke up to birds chirping. BUT, the breakfast is even better!!! Connie is an amazing cook and and setting was beautiful. The food was exquisite and the conversation with the owners was awesome! I %100 recommended this place to anyone planning to stay in Ouray!
- Travelingisfun555 (10/5): Lovely Accomodations - We loved our stay at the Bridal Veil B&B. We had the downstairs of their lovely home to ourselves and the accommodations were very clean, neat, pretty, and comfortable. Greg and Connie warmly greeted us upon arrival and made sure we had everything we needed. Breakfast was a real treat with delicacies made by Connie and served on china. The view from the breakfast table was of mountains and hummingbirds and started off our day in a perfect way. Greg and Connie were so friendly and made us feel right at home. They even asked my sister and brother-in-law, who were staying elsewhere in Ouray, to join us for breakfast. During breakfast we all sat and talked, with Greg and Connie telling us stories of how they met and stories about their past. Greg is very knowledgeable about the area and provided us great advice about where to go and what to do. We would highly recommend the Bridal Veil B&B to anyone wanting a wonderful, homey place to stay while in Ouray.
- Rebecca (10/5): Best night of my trip! - Bridal Veil B&B was amazing! The hosts (Connie and Greg) were so welcoming and kind - and the property was perfect for what we needed. The bedroom was clean and well appointed (coffee maker and small fridge) and the bathroom was large. Everything was clean and just perfect.
We arrived late on a week night and Greg and Connie were very nice - providing us a ride to the hot springs (because we had an issue with our car) - and also a ride back to the property!
Breakfast was delicious - probably the best we had on our trip. Connie and Greg entertained us at breakfast with their stories and provided amazing information about local attractions!
I cannot wait to return to Bridal Veil B&B for a longer stay with friends - and experience the local hiking and of course more time at the hot springs.
- T7833ZObobj (10/5): Perfect Choice - This was a perfect place for us to stay. Greg and Connie went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and well taken care of. We had a crazy schedule while we were there but they still made sure that we had everything we needed. When we had to leave super early, Connie made sure that we had a fresh loaf of homemade double apricot bread. It was super delicious as was everything else that she prepared for us. Greg was super knowledgeable about the area and offered many great suggestions of things to do.
- Randy (10/5): Ouray's best kept secret - Can't say enough nice things about my stay. The accommodations were impeccable. It literally felt like home. And Greg and Connie are absolutely DELIGHTFUL! Super knowledgable about the entire area as well (BONUS!). I'll be staying with them from now on anytime I'm in the area.
- Dawn (10/5): Ouray experience - Beautiful rooms to choose, very clean, great hosts. Close to town, walking trail, too. Great breakfast!
- Kellie (10/5): Great B&B stay in Ouray! - Amazing stay with Connie and Greg! The place was spotless, the breakfast was so delicious, and Connie and Greg were the perfect hosts. The bed and bath for guests is very private and made for a very comfortable stay. There were lots of thoughtful touches like a mini fridge in the bedroom and a tea station. It’s a mile into the heart of Ouray and a very short walk to the hot springs pool. You will not disappointed if you choose to stay here.
- Cassy (10/5): - Greg and his wife were wonderful hosts. The location was perfect. The breakfasts were wonderful. Will be back!!

- Moneeb (10/5): - Excellent stay and amazing breakfast
- LHD (8/5): In home stay - Lovely appointed room wonderful hosts but this is a basement/walk out/first floor in someone's home. More Airbnb than an inn.
- Stephen (10/5): - Very welcoming and gave us good tips for downtown. Made a special low carb breakfast for us. Thank you - Thank-you!
- Steve (10/5): Best Stay in Ouray - PERFECT
- Verified traveler (10/5): Unexpected gem in Ouray - Love the personalized experience in this B&B. Hosts couldn't have been more welcoming and accommodating. Nice room and private bath; super breakfasts. Very helpful information about things to do in the area.
- Carolyn (10/5): Great B&B in the mountains of Ouray, CO! - We had a great stay at Bridal Veil B&B. We had the whole downstairs and even though there are two bedrooms downstairs, the owners only rent to one party at a time. That meant the two of us had complete privacy and didn't have to share the bathroom. It was like having our own little condo! The owners are very friendly, warm, and eager to make your stay very comfortable.
- Bengt (10/5): Roadtrip 2015 - Kanonställe, trevliga värdar, fantastisk frukost, bra och fräscht rum. Det var enkelt att ta bilen in till centrum för middag,
- Dave & Lora (10/5): this B&B is a jewel!! - Gregg & Connie were very friendly, caring, and professional inn-keepers. Great price for summer lodging in Ouray, and had every comfort we required. It is small and private. Breakfast was incredible and we eagerly anticipated her culinary delights. Will definitely stay there again!
- Karen (10/5): ENJOY - Enjoyed our stay-will return!
- Joseph W (10/5): NOT NO FRILLS AT ALL..... HOMEY - First time to try a B&B, was delighted, owners Connie & Greg, indeed make you feel right at home. Very helpful with ANY needs you may have ( called and made an appointment with their doctor for us !!!! Now that's service) This is a really nice place within Ouray activities, yet just enough out of town. GREAT BREAKFAST as well.
- john (10/5): - Great service. Excellent breakfast.
- Kenneth (10/5): our stay in Ouray CO. - We had a wonderful time. Connie the hostess fixed fabulous breakfasts every morning. It was quiet and very comfortable. Had gorgeous views of the mountains. When we go back we would stay there if available.
