- Gillian (10/5): - Superb pub and friendly staff. We had a spacious family room for the 2 of us, and breakfast was delicious and plentiful Nothing
- duggie (8/5): Lovely location in the high street good for walking..made me smile! - Small and comfy pub! The bed had a low plinth which I kept walking into!
- ALISTAIR (10/5): Perfect location on the High Street, very friendly staff, great food, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay -
- Julian (10/5): I wiil be back again next year. - The whole experience from start to finish was excellent . I especially enjoyed the singing chef cooking breakfast on sunday morning. Nothing.

- Charlie (6/5): Great location, clean & well presented! Lovely pub & fab atmosphere! - We loved the hotel, was great location for what we were doing & would definitely stay again as it was so close for where we needed to be & lovely pub downstairs and a great atmosphere. The room was presented well but unfortunately the room really did smell of drains from the en-suite! Wasn’t quite sure what to do but maybe there is a problem with it? We loved the stay but that was the only thing I wanted to make you aware of!
- CAROLINE (8/5): Very comfortable stop over on my walking route from Whitby to Morcambe - Very friendly staff, great central location, great food More milk in the bedroom please

- Michael (8/5): Comfortable, welcoming, traditional pub in a proper country market town. A gem we should all cherish. - Proper market town pub run by real people. Good basic pub food with substantial portions. Run by local people who were genuine in interactions. No food on Thursday (I suppose kitchen staff have to have a night off)

- Sam (10/5): Lovely couple of days in Pateley Bridge, plenty of nice walks nearby and the staff at The Crown were so lovely. Locals v - Perfect location, friendly staff and breakfast was lovely! We didn’t get chance to sample the evening menu as it was so busy and stopped serving a bit early for us, but the food was highly recommended by locals we chatted too and we will be back! Nothing, it was lovely!

- Daphne (9/5): A hotel with a pub atmosphere, very friendly and efficient staff, wonderful food and great chef. - The landlady bent over backwards for us, I requested a bath so she put us up in her guest house at the end of the street which had one. The breakfast was exceptional with a good choice. The staff at breakfast the three mornings were helpful, friendly and efficient. We had an evening meal for my husbands birthday and the food was wonderful, the ambience of the hotel and the atmosphere was fabulous. The Crown Hotel is in a great location, we visited Nunnington hall, Nostell hall and gardens, Skipton, kettlewell, Thirsk and Richmond also Grassington where All Creatures great and small was filmed. Based on our experience there wasnt anything not to like. The only criticism would be they dont serve food on a Sunday evening, but everyone deserves a night off. They serve Sunday lunch till 3 and they are a very busy pub and restuarant.
- Henry (10/5): - Very friendly hosts. Traditional old pub and in a good situation. The light in the picture shop was shining into the room all night
- rhodes (8/5): -
- Ron (10/5): -

- Adrian (10/5): - Fabulous staff.
- Robert (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyable! - Cannot fault any of it. Exceptional Landlady Lyn - she has a wonderful team of staff and nothing is too much trouble. Location of Hotel perfect, food plentiful and highest quality (try the steak & ale pie!) & cleanliness of a high standard. Absolutely nothing!
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Martyn Ryan (9/5): -
- Tom (10/5): Wonderful stay in a wonderful place - The Crown provided a wonderful stay in beautiful Pateley Bridge. Perfect location, fantastic hotel full of historic charm with great staff & facilities. My room was clean & comfortable, with lovely extras like biccies & hot drinks. After a great night's sleep in such a comfy bed there was brekkie, one of the nicest I've ever had. 10/10 for everything. N/A - Everything was perfect
- Lorraine (9/5): -
- Groom (6/5): - I found out at breakfast that I was the only one having it. I then presumed that the bedrooms were not full. Why then was I put in a front room overlooking the tight busy road with cars, tractors, and lorries passing till 1am and starting again at 5.30 am. Surely there must have spare rooms at the back which would have been quieter .
You did kindly look after my bike. Thanks.
Good evening meal. See above, disappointing breakfast
- Richard (8/5): -
- Steve (8/5): -
- Iain (6/5): Not the best experience and staff could be a bit more accommodating. - Location was good and good breakfast
The lady at breakfast taking our order was lovely which was probably the best thing about the Hotel/pub. The pub/bar closes before 10pm even to residents staying at pub ???? Staff were a bit off when trying to order. Bed were very uncomfortable and mattresses really need replacing. Bathroom smell of drains.
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Doreen (9/5): Superb -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Everything!
- Michael (7/5): Nice place to stay lots of character - Spacious rooms nice pub and friendly staff Evening meal was just ok nothing special . Bed very soft mattress.
- Julie (10/5): Relaxing - Welcoming atmosphere, authentic pub with character. Nothing
- Carol (8/5): Gem of a find. Friendly, clean and accessible. Would love to revisit. - A good old-fashioned, homely and spotlessly clean hotel with all the amenities I needed. Perfect town centre location in stunning Nidderdale and a short drive to nearby Harrogate for work. Landlady Lynn and her friendly crew made me welcome from the minute I arrived and no request was too much to ask of them. Keep up your kind and individual offering Lynn. I hope to revisit. The quaint sliding windows were difficult to open (during scorching heat) and need decorating/carpentry attention.
My room at the back of the hotel was close to the kitchen below and a thrumming extractor fan. However it was turned off by 10pm latest each weekday night I was there and was otherwise wonderfully peaceful.
A two-storey high marquee (not the hotel’s, I was told) was positioned adjacently, very close to the bedroom widow. Sadly, it almost completely obliterated any view to the back.
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Kirsty (8/5): Beautiful building and room with lovely staff. - Beautiful room and very comfy bed. The heat wave penetrated the thick walls and unfortunately nowhere in the UK is set up for that.

- Sarah (9/5): Lovely pub with rooms (good size family room) fabulous service - perfect for a day out in Yorkshire - Really exceptional service, huge comfortable family room (actually two rooms!), great breakfast Nothing at all - really great stay, perfect for a day out in the Dales
- Cameran (9/5): Excellent value, friendly staff, tasty beer. - Friendly helpful and attentive staff. Excellent value for money for the family room.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - The room was clean and comfortable and the room facilities good. Some road noise but this is to be expected with the age of the building and close proximity to the road. Excellent value for money. Superb evening meal menu and breakfast.
- Scott (8/5): Nice stay in the centre of town - The Crown is a classic English pub in the centre of town. It has good rooms, comfy beds, modern bathrooms, plenty of hot water, great wifi, and a locked storage room for our touring bicycles. Their full English Breakfast was large and a great start to the day.
- Michael (6/5): Pleasant - Location Room on front was noisy
