- Nandakumar (5/5): -
- Krishnan (10/5): - The property is very good and polite way of communicating and good stay
- Joby (1/5): Sleazy pig farm. - Nothing there to like it. The rooms are in very, very poor condition. There is a lot of mold and smells of urine, handprints on the wall ,they never changed the duvet cover, the cover was completely torn, and they never change it even when asked. You can't call this a resort. The lodge and comfort station near the bus stand and railway station is much cleaner. This spice jungle resort is disgusting. The road to the resort is too steep and narrow, and it's too dangerous too. The staff do not know which of the rooms have guests in. The staff came and tried to open the door in the middle of the night which petrified 2 of my children and prevented them from having a good night's sleep. The newly built establishments aren't even better atall. In Fact, it's worse! There was literal black mold on the curtains and the urine scent present still. The food is overpriced for the quality it is produced in which is basically non-existent,it is greasy, flavourless and it took too long to serve. The swimming pool looked like an infestation for leeches and caterpillars plus was filled to the brim with rotting leaves which goes to show that they have no consideration for the experience of the customers. I booked two rooms for my family (me, wife and 4 children). The staff are not supportive and they are motionless and not friendly at all. You will be trapped if you paid in advance, there are no refunds! Definitely, this resort IS NOT FOR FAMILY and needs locking up.
- Tharun (1/5): Very bad experience and i will not sugest anybody for staying there… - Location was excellent The rooms are dirty and somethings smells there very badly and there is no proper house keeping and no maintanance is done. They dont have a carpet to put in front of the bathroom ther are using a cloth and it was too much dirty….

- shinto (3/5): - The road conditions are extremely poor — narrow, uneven, and unsuitable for safe travel, especially with children. Driving a car through this route could lead to vehicle issues or even damage.
- Ajay (10/5): -
- Pushkala (8/5): - The location was very wonderful, amidst forest. Toilets were clean, but the room and its approach needs to be cleaned better. Food was very delayed. Breakfast was OK-OK only. Can be improved for better customer attraction
- vishnu (2/5): waste of money please don't stay your life will be under threat - it was just ok pool
- Ramachandran (10/5): - Superb location and best ambience. 😊 Location. Super food and behavior
- Mallapu (7/5): -
- Travelling (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nasweeb (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sharath (9/5): Nice - The location is very nice in the middle of jungle. The way to the resort is off roading.. The food was good. Also the rooms. I had a good time with my family. Swimming pool area should be clean ( lots of leaves). And there were no pool chairs to relax.
- Mohammed (7/5): Good - Nice ambience
- Shanid (9/5): Kids area also making good... - Pool
- Dar (3/5): Poor - Aesthetic of hotel is not good ,location is also not good, room service is poor not valued for money
- Yvette (1/5): Appalling. Dirty rooms, stained and torn bedding. Facilities not as advertised. Loud deafening music 8:00 - 10:30 every - The windows looked out onto tree tops. There are so many negatives. The mattress had no protector and had bodily fluid stains. It was also torn and worn in places.
The doona had several large stains of unknown origin. One pillow and sheet were torn. All bed linen looked dirty. There were no cups in the room and the kettle did not work. There was a minimum amount of toilet paper. We had to ask for more every couple of days. There were no coffee bags on arrival and we needed to request more each day. The floor under the bed was coated in dust and dirt.
When we arrived the room we booked was not as advertised. There was one double bed not two. As older ladies this caused discomfort with little room to move. The owner could not provide an alternative and would not offer a compensation such as free breakfast.
The surrounds were jaded and our room from the balcony looked over a rubbish heap and another further away with broken toilets.
Loud, deafening music played each night from approximately 8- 10:30 pm.
The pool appeared not to have a filter and the water was murky.
Staff were unfriendly with exception of the young receptionist.
The hotel used towels on the steps and these were a safety hazard. PLEASE TAKE SPICE JUNGLE OFF YOUR WEBSITE !
- Shazmin (4/5): Not so tranquil - The curtain rail fell on my head as soon as I got in. Soap dispenser broken. Swimming pool was good. Room dusty. Loud music playing on a beutiful area. Rang twice to get them to turn it down but went on u til 10 by which time the peace had gone and you get a good headache included in the price.
Tryed to overcharge me for food that I didn’t have until I checked.
- Athul (1/5): Bad -
- Haitham (7/5): Good -
- Libor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aju (8/5): Very good - Very nice
- Shaun (8/5): Very good - Good breakfast. Neat rooms. Good swimming pool. Room size could have been more
- Ks (9/5): Superb -
- Sylvie (2/5): Not as advertised - avoid - The setting in the forest is lovely, but unfortunately unable to be enjoyed due to the incredibly poor facilities and administration. The rooms and facilities are not at all as advertised - the rooms are very old and shabby, the walls are filthy and have chipped paint. The beds are old and broken and uncomfortable and the sheets are dirty and stained. The rooms are also sparse and unwelcoming, and there is no balcony furniture. The dining area was ok, but the pool looked unsanitary and has nowhere to relax nearby (ie no lounge chairs). There was also no toilet paper in the rooms on arrival.
On top of this, while the staff were kind people and clearly trying their best, the administration of the place was sadly very bad. When food or drink was ordered it would often arrive late, not at all, or not as ordered. The staff didn’t appear to have received proper instruction on how to assist with basic requests.
The steep road down to the property also makes it very difficult to enter and exit, making it unappealing to come in and out.
Finally - do NOT book this property if you are looking to relax in nature. From 8-10pm every evening they play INCREDIBLY loud dance music in the open common area that can be heard in each room as loud as though at a music festival. Completely ruins any natural ambiance.
We had to check out after one night.
- Suresh (7/5): Nice stay for the family!! - Nice staff.. good food!
- Gugan (8/5): Comfortable stay in edge of jungle - The location is very nice, right in the edge of jungle. Staffs were very supportive and helpful. There's a round the clock restaurant serving very good food in very affordable pricing0
- Tintu (10/5): Stay was good, awesome food, bit costly - Swimming pool , camp fire Road- you need jeep or off road vehicle to reach there.
- Ranjeet (8/5): Very good - Very awesome Most of the Cab not want to go to near resort
- Adith (5/5): Overall the location is a bit deep. Staff were really nice. The pool and the overall decor was good. Nothing much to do - Pool was good and clean. The staff was amazingly good. Even helped with driving the car back the elevated road which was too scary when it rained. They helped with providing good information. There wasn’t much to do other than jump into the pool. The room had zero views from the balcony other than a dirt pit on the back. The bathroom would never stay dry. The beds were very stiff.Just a 2 star room with balcony that had no views. Tbh for the price i would’ve atleast expected good beds.
- Nitheesh (10/5): Escape to Serenity at Spice Jungle Resort, Munnar Nestled in the lush greenery of Munnar, Spice Jun -
- M.a (7/5): All other experience is good but cleaning is not good - Pls keep the room clean . Pillow bedsheet bathroom have bad smell
- Riku (10/5): Exceptional - One of the best budget swimming pool resort close to munnar town
- Najmal (8/5): Very good -
- Sabeer (1/5): Bad - Nothing to like from this property..... This property is located in a remote area, and the road leading to it is descent. The rooms are damp, have an unpleasant odor, and feel uncomfortable for families.
- Ramesh (7/5): Good - Rooms are cleanly maintained. There is lot of power issues. Since we not able to get hot water.
- Shagul (4/5): Disappointing -
- World (10/5): Exceptional - I recently stayed at Spice Jungle Resort and had an unforgettable experience. Nestled amidst lush greenery and spice plantations, the resort offers a perfect escape from city life with its serene and immersive environment.
The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, providing exceptional hospitality and great recommendations for activities and dining.
The restaurant served delicious local cuisine with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Each meal was a delightful exploration of regional flavors.
Spice Jungle Resort exceeded my expectations with its luxurious accommodations, excellent service, and beautiful natural setting. It's a must-visit for a peaceful retreat or an adventurous escape. Highly recommended!
- Shashidhar (8/5): - Lush green !!
Basic swimming pool
Clean washrooms
pleasant view of mountains
- T (8/5): Very good -
- Prahalad (4/5): Disappointing - It would be a lot better. The room was not clean. It was not at all a family stag. There were a lot of guys drinking and smoking outside my room. In spite of my complaint to management, they had not taken any action.
- Sebastian (10/5): Peaceful Stay in Jungle ambience - The stay was a unique experience to in the middle of a jungle, wide veritys of trees flowers and spice garden. The pool is refreshing and the staff is incrediblely helpful.. The food was delicious,
- Mr.sharun (10/5): One of the best budget friendly resort with a pool - The ambiance of the resort is great and the pool is one of the main highlight, it's just like swimming in the center of the jungle.
I loved it very much 😍😍
- Kon (2/5): Stay get spoiled by hotel due to they use loud music - Food not good at breakfast time they don’t maintain well they dont serve even coffee
- Sanup (1/5): Bad - Customer service is very bad. Especially room waiters. He spoke rudly
- Baby (5/5): Passable - The road from main stretch to the resort is very bad.
- Mohan (8/5): Services are good. - Very nice Approach road to resort.
- Abraham (3/5): Poor - Good Toilets not good no exhaust fan
- Safi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Senthil (2/5): Disappointing of net booking at Spice jungle resor - We are so disappointed with spice jungle resort stay why because first thing finding difficult to locate this resort and we can't able to reach with our vehicle since we've to depends with resort jeep to reach the main road. Highlight was they have only one old jeep which is frequently break down. Daily 60 to 80 mins we lost in morning hours due to this location of the resort. Regards CP Break fast always shortages and they don't have capacity to serve 10 peoples in same time.
- Myke (8/5): - The new manager Anand is working at bringing up the hotel's overall standards. For the few issues I had, mostly about cleanliness Anand had them addressed immediately. Expect a tasty traditional Indian buffet breakfast.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Roads leading to the hotel is dowhill hard cement and mud road. Brakfast was normal capati. Nothig special. What was shown in the pictire n reality are two different matters
- Verified traveler (4/5): Reasonable if youre on a relative budget - It's alright for a relatively budget stay in the area and the staff try hard to do their best for guests with occasional poor communication (we weren't given any details on check in such as the WiFi code and different staff sometimes gave us different answers or didn't follow up or requests when we made them). It would be better if it was clear what role each staff member had.
The rooms were a bit shabby - stained sheets and towels and some mould on the walls, but you might expect this for the price in the area. Views were great from the room we were moved to on the second night. The bed on the first felt like sleeping on the floor it was so hard. It's a good site not far from Munnar if you are happy to tuk-tuk in. I recommend researching what you want to do in the area before arriving as it was hard to get objective recommendations of all options.
- bel (8/5): Welcoming and good value - Our stay at Spice Jungle was very nice. It's a peaceful place and the owner/manager is very helpful. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Munnar is expensive, so it's relatively good value. You can walk down to a beautiful waterfall from the hotel (you need a guide, even if the manager says you don't). It's close to the tea plantations, cardamon grows in the garden and it's full of flowers - truly lovely.
- Mani (10/5): 6 kms frm munnar - Just the problem is 6 kms from munnar bus stand.Exept that no problem. can enjoy...Very niceee.
- Shiv Prakash (6/5): avereage stay. not recommeded. - It was average stay. location is not good. very bad entrance and approch. approx.200 m away from road in slopy road. it is not possible to go by taxi and has to take hotel car to come up and down to hotel.
- Philip (4/5): Never again - Didn't have any of the listed room features as telephone, safe, iron, ironingboard or internet access. This features was listed on hotels.com but was not available in anyway. The hotel had to provide a jeep to pick us up from the main road because it was in a valley to steep to enter with a normal car ( fun though ). The room could cause health problems over a longer period. It smelled like the bad moist smell.
- Shirley (8/5): Great value - Best value for money in India. Food was terrific. It is down a very steep drive but the staff are always happy to drive you up the road. It was exceptionally picturesque being in the middle of a cardamon plantation. I would definitely stay here again, good and cheap.
