• Terry (8/5): Nice lodging in a fun area. We would definitely stay again, - Nice, clean room, on the ground floor, just as we asked. Good restaurant, and music on the pier. There was no place to lay our luggage on, other than the dining table and chairs. They either need 2 fold open luggae racks, or a bench to place your luggage on. Also, the wastebaskets usually have a plastic garbage liner. This didn't make any difference to us, but it would be nice for the housekeeping people.

Beds were just fair as far as comfort. Minor problem, but still, no blow dryer in room and no one on site to help us. The floor was in need of a scrubbing. The pool was not open. Pluses-The rooms are decorated nicely.

• Joan (9/5): - Staff was excellent and great with communication. The room was large with a small table to work at. Clean with good coffee and actual 1/2 & 1/2. The restaurant had great staff and food. We checked in late and they were more than happy to serve us. The pool was closed due to maintenance. The vending and ice machine were out of order. The staff did tell us to go to the restaurant and they would help. A staff member helped us get ice while we were packing up the car. Just a minor inconvenience. Snacks were in the room for purchase if needed. So it all works.

• Macostad (10/5): Cute place and walking distance from the colonial quarters - The place is gorgeous, the conch theme is subtlety around the room and the property, plenty of parking space and the room is cozy and comfortable, a big bathroom, a small dining table and great lighting. it's hard to find something bad to point out, maybe that we missed having a door mirror or large mirror besides the mirror in the bathroom

Lo único malo para nosotros fue que el pestillo de la puerta de baño, no funcionaba bien, se debía hacer fuerza desde afuera para poder cerrar desde dentro.

Beautiful pool. Nice docks out over water. Clean and cheery rooms with very comfortable beds. Pool not heated. No beach access.

I location was great we enjoyed that is was a little bit away from the chaos of downtown but it had plenty of do right on the property. We had a great time and will definitely be back. It was a little pricey but we did enjoy ourselves and the rooms were nice. It must of been updated because it looked nicer than what the pictures showed

• Lynda (7/5): This is as a nice location for a family. Reasonably priced and in a good location. - I liked the location. Away from the hustle and bustle. Near the water. I didn’t like the construction (that we did not know about before hand). Also our room looked clean at first but it wasn’t very clean (especially the shower) once you got settled. The construction noises made it almost impossible for my kids to fall asleep for their naps. We came back to the room mid-day, but it was so loud. They started early and worked until at least 5.

• Anita7984 (5/5): Disappointed - Love that it was on the water next to its own restaurant. Water backed up in the sink, a wad of hair was wrapped around the blow dryer cord, took a while for hot water to come on in the shower and the lady who checked us in was grumpy and rude.

• Max (7/5): Charming with room for improvements - Location was super close to the old town and the marina atmosphere was great. Honestly the housekeeper could put more attention into details. Bathroom drawers had a lot of hair. The cabinet under the sink was filled with rust flakes and other debris. The show draining sink in the bathroom has a gross film in the bottom and you could clearly see mold and gross stuff under the vanity countertop in the under mount sink. There was also mold visible in the bathroom.

WE BOOKED LAST MINUTE FOR A NIGHTS OF LIGHTS OVERNIGHT STAY BEING LOCALS WE JUST DIDNT WANT TO DRIVE AND PARK ETC AND WAS SURPRISED HOW QUAINT THE ROOS WERE AS WELL AS CLEAN AND COMFORTABLE THE SERVICE AND STAFF WERE VERY PLEASANT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS A VERY BUSY TIME WITH CHECK INS THE PROCESS WAS SUPER QUICK AND EASY WE WOULD DEFINITELY STAY HERE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY. ALSO ITS PERFECT FOR ENJOYING THE MARINA THE RESTARAUNT AND EVERYTHING DOWNTOWN ST AUGUSTINE HAS TO OFFER.

• 367melissaannw (4/5): LONG TIME GUEST, VERY DISAPPOINTED - I want to start out be saying that I have been a guest of the Conch House for the last 20 years. This is a place we look forward to staying at every summer with friends from home and friends we have met while staying there over the years. We stay in the same rooms every time. Either 4, 3, 2 or 1. Mostly 4 and 3. The 1st thing I noticed when we arrived was the gate around the pool. I certainly understand if this was put up for safety reasons. Though I do not know if that is the case. The worst thing about that gate is the staff locks it at 9pm! Every hotel I have ever stayed at, the pool was open till at least 10pm. The pool is one of the things we enjoy the most when visiting. We then get into our room and to our surprise it had been renovated. It looked beautiful. However, the kitchen was gone. We, most times, stay anywhere from 3-5 days. The kitchen was nice to have so that we could bring our own food. Now, there is only a "coffee bar" with a microwave, coffee pot and a small refrigerator. We had to go to the office to ask for a toaster. With all of this being said, we kept positive vibes throughout our stay. These are some of things that I noticed... the pool is kind of cringy. It needs to be cleaned. I mean, drained and pressure washed. In the mornings, the water was very cloudy but cleared up as the day progressed. The fan in the living room could not be kept on without the lights being on. The remote control was lost, and the office could not find a spare. The hostess at the Restaurant was not friendly at all. Very sergeant like. Attitude about how many people we had and wouldn't seat us until the entire party was there and we literally were all walking in her direction from our room. Ordered one of our friends to throw his beer can away. That was not a problem for us. It's the way she demanded it. We also were not given our drink tickets at check in to which they advertise when booking online. We did go to the office the next morning to retrieve them. With all of this being said, the cleaning staff were very nice and accommodating as well as the employee that walked around at night locking the pool. I hope management takes these reviews seriously because we sure would like to keep vising the Conch House.
