There was a window in the shower that had no glass so we had to close two curtains when we showered. We found mold on our shower curtain. We found a roach in the bathroom as well. The TV was angled towards the ceiling and we didn't want to attempt to move it down as it did not seem sturdy on the wall. There wasn't a freezer in the refrigerator. House keeping did not come at all during our 2 night stay.
- Charles (8/5): - This is a no frills motel that offers great value for the money! I found it to be safe, quiet and convenient to dining, shopping and several nearby towns. Would not hesitate to stay here again! The owner and staff work hard to ensure a pleasant stay!

- Valerie (6/5): Quick easy one night stay while driving through. - Staff was friendly. Room was just OK for staying overnight and leaving the next morning. It appeared clean. The parking was well lit and they had security cameras. I chose this hotel because the price was great and our cat was no extra charge. The website did not mention an animal deposit like all the other hotels did. I was surprised at check in that there was a deposit of $100 which I will be fully refunded in a couple of days. I think that should be on the hotels.com page.
- Susan (10/5): SWEET COZY PET-FRIENDLY PLACE - We really enjoyed our stay here. We stayed for several weeks. We always felt very comfortable & safe the entire time. Staff was extremely friendly & very helpful. Other guest seemed happy with their stay as well. Our room was super roomy & very comfortable.This motel was extremely pet friendly with no extra pet fees. I would totally recommend this Motel 6 especially if you are traveling with pets.
- Gina (6/5): Room currently occupied was an odd start - I arrived to check in to the room. The first room I was given was occupied. We actually woke a night nurse up from her sleep. I went to the desk to try again. This room was 'meh.' The bed was okay, but I can't describe it as comfortable. There were things like the sprinkler hanging out of a hole in the ceiling, the pillows were so flat, and the towels were smaller bath towels that felt like they've been around a long time. There were no amenities; the pool was closed. I'd probably choose a different hotel to stay in.
- Darlene (6/5): - Bed was very comfortable. Spacious room. My biggest complaint was the chech-in process. Resvervation made through Expedia. I even received a call from the property confirming I made the reservation. Upon arrival I was informed that my credit card was declined. I explained that the reservation was paid through Expedia. He said I needed to pay with a different card. I used the same card that I used with Expedia. Now I got billed twice. I was told to wait for the charges to post against my credit card. If both charges get posted I am to call the Motel 6 to get a refund-very frustrating.
- Joseph (8/5): - I've been staying at this hotel for 15 years. I come down fishing 4 times a year. Unfortunately, I have a bit of a problem with getting power to my boat. Motel 6 has outside electric outlets to charge my batteries in my boat. I was promised for the last 2 years they would be fixed. So far nothing. Other than that I'm ok.

Front desk attendant was pleasant and it is pet friendly. I suppose for the price it was good enough for a place to sleep on a road trip.

- Christopher (8/5): - This is what it is. It’s a motel six which is not a Hyatt or a Ritz. But this was one of the nicer motel six properties we’ve stayed at. No complaints for $72 a night. The beds were comfortable enough and the bathroom was clean. Not the prettiest property, but we checked in at 8 PM and left at 5 AM so it met our needs just fine.

- Symatha (2/5): ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES - ROACHES, ROACHES, ROACHES. I felt something crawling on me while I was in the bed sleeping. Thought maybe it was just my mind being tired. Went to the bathroom, 3 roaches in the tub, started packing up my stuff to leave and found 20 roaches in the bathroom alone. Went to get my dog food another 7-8 roaches in my dogs food. So I pull back the blankets roaches. I tell the front desk about the roaches and show them the videos and they said, we have never had a complaint about roaches. I'm sure that is lie, there are baby roaches that means you have had them for awhile. I am absolutely disgusted, I do not have roaches where I live in Colorado, have never had roaches, so this was absolutely disgusting to me. For some reason I can not add pictures or the videos I took.

The owner came knocking on the door at 9 am seeing if we needed our room cleaned when we only stayed 1 night. Found hairs on bed, pillows, and towels. The pillows were old and terrible and the sheets and blankets were old and thin. One bed had cigarette burns in the bed sheets. The walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. Never will we stay here again. This property needs to be bulldozed and re-built!!

The pets friendly policy is good if you only have 2 pets. You are not told of the 2 pets limit when reserving the room online. We had 3 pets with us, so they charged me $20/night for the extra pet.

- Erika (2/5): NEVER AGAIN!! Beware! ROACHES - First and foremost this hotel charged my card hours before my arrival. When I booked this room, I booked “pay at hotel”. Why would they charge me way before check in time? Anywho, I booked 2 rooms with 2 adults and 2 children in each room. I requested adjoining rooms. Once I arrived to check-in, I was informed they don’t have adjoining rooms. So how convenient they put each room on a different floor. I asked if we could at least get rooms on the same floor and I was told they didn’t have any available. Ok now the good part. Go to the room, put our belongings away and leave out for a few hours. Come back for bedtime and lo and behold ROACHES GALORE! I honestly couldn’t believe my eyes. I had never saw anything like this before. I had my small children with me and they were terrified. My 11 year old even said she wants to sleep in the car instead of staying at this place for the night. I called the front desk but they never answer. I opened my door and saw the manager and another employee in the hallway. I informed them of what was going on and they brought raid bug spray and sprayed the room. Lord that actually made it 10 times worse. Those roaches were coming out the woodworks! We were so disgusted and since it was already late at night I had no other options besides sleeping here or in the car. We were up killing bugs all night. Once daylight hit, I contacted support and let them know I can not stay here any longer.
- Michael (8/5): For Younger People on a Budget - Everything in my trip went well. The room was nice. Beds were comfortable, tv worked well, air worked great, everything in the bathroom worked well. The only thing is I won't be able to stay there again. The reason is because I am 63 with a bad knee. The tub was almost impossible to get into because of the height and once in the bottom of the tub was slick as snot! It's not safe for older patrons. If I'm younger it's a great place to stay on a budget.

- Candice (4/5): - This property is in a nice location if you are wanting to explore crab orchard lake or Shawnee national forest. However, this was our first time to the area and we booked what we could find. This property isn’t clean, the pool is closed, and somehow we flipped the breaker trying to heat up pasta in our microwave. Overnight, my whole foot found a hole in the bedspread and got stuck. In the morning, I was using the restroom and so was a spider and a roach. We booked a king and got asked numerous times if we needed 2 beds because we are 2 women but no, we do not need 2 beds. That’s why we booked what we did. All in all, no. Do not come here even tho there are numerous “good” reviews. I’m not sure who those people are but there is no way they stayed where we did.
- RONALD (2/5): - Absolutely no amenities. The man at the desk gave me a look that would kill when I ask for some shampoo. No breakfast or any snacks or fruit- just one pot of coffee. Air conditioning was shut down during the night. The owners must have come directly from India, where there is minimal service and facilities. I didn't pay much for the room, and I didn't get much for my money.

He and his wife came up to the room within 10 minutes to check it out. They came back 5 minutes later with a new TV. I can't say enough about the customer service. Would definitely recommend.

There were roaches in our rooms, which was totally disgusting! One of our rooms had a huge hole in the wall between the bathroom and sleeping area, so there was no bathroom privacy. One room had black stains in the bathtub and bathroom floor. Additionally, the hotel called me the day of my reservation and was trying to get me to give up one of my rooms and use rollaway beds instead. Totally off-putting. Please do not be fooled and stay here. It is NOT GOOD.

However, the manager was very friendly and accommodating when I asked for a box of Kleenex and some shampoo. The room was old but clean and the bed was comfortable.
