MR MAURICE (10/5): Stay in Netanya at the Leonardo - Room was clean throughout our stay. Nothing too much for staff at hotel. Dealt with all our requests extra towels, extra chair etc all with a smile and polite
Joseph (10/5): - Looking over the ‘town square’ was enjoyable to watch all the activity. If you are a very light sleeper the evening revelry might be a bit loud at times.
Donna Faithe (6/5): Ok but not great. - The hotel is somewhat rundown. The pool area is small and not particularly nice. The rooms are ok. The biggest disappointment is for sure the beach. The beach is a far walk from the hotel, and then you need to go down a big elevator to reach it. Then you need to find a person to help get you seats, etc. my kids did not even want to go back to the beach the 2nd day. I found it very overpriced. It is a 3.5 star hotel. But the location is great! If you want to be in the very center of the tourist area right outside your door, this is the place. Please note that the staff was lovely, very hard working, and tried to help us whenever they could. So thank you to the managers and the front desk staff! I greatly appreciated all of you.

Maurice (10/5): Hotel Leonardo Netanya - Hotel was clean friendly and put us at ease. The excellent ,genial Manager Dubbi did everything he could to make our stay outstanding. Even got us another armchair and showed us the balcony where we could sit out and relax. Food was excellent and more than plentiful . Full marks to the Managrr and staff nothing was too much trouble including late checkout if required. Our stay was in July 2023 hotel in centre of town but extremely quiet.

The vibe in the hotel is warm & friendly and what customer service used to be like. The dinner and breakfast buffet were plentiful AND delicious. You will not be disappointed if you stay at the Leonardo, Netanya ~ that is a guarantee from me to you. ❤️

Irina (8/5): - Hotel room was ok, however, bathroom is separated from the room by glass sliding doors and is almost a part of the room. Privacy is almost not existed. Parking for the car is located behind the hotel and you need to walk around the block. Entrance to the parking is not easy: you need to use intercom and talk to someone in the hotel. It takes a while for them to respond and understand who you are and open the gates. There are no instructions or explanations on how this system works, so be prepared to spend extra time to figure it out.

The bathroom, however, had a constant smell of sewage that sometimes was light, and other times worse. I would not stay there again.

Bryan (6/5): Excellent location - This is the second time I had stayed here. The location is excellent, with lots of shop nearby and near the beach too. The hotel also provide free rental of chair at the beach. The room is of reasonable size, with all the things you need for a hotel stay such as water boiler, fridge, safe and hair dryer. However, some things can be improved. For example, my bathtub was clogged. Though requested for service to clear it, it was still not flowing seamlessly. Also, the room does not have a balcony. It is difficult for me to dry my clothes for a long stay. Lastly, I do not have access to the business lounge even though I have booked a total of 8 nights.
Andrew (8/5): A great room in a functional hotel for business - My room at the Leonardo Plaza was fine for my business trip. Essentials like bed comfort and linens, shower and bathroom facilities were all great. There is a good selection of channels on the TV. The hotel itself is fairly basic with little entrance space and a very quiet bar. I would stay again but only as a place to sleep.

Toby (10/5): Really friendly hotel, very comfortable and clean. - We had a lovely suite which was extremely large. A walk in wardrobe, a bathroom with a shower closet and a bath, two basins, once again very clean. We also had entrance to the business centre which was so well done, plenty of goodies and tea, coffee and drinks. The manager came round every day at breakfast to see that everything was done well and laundry was done for us every day for a reasonable cost. There is a swimming pool (which we did not use), a training centre and a spa. A hairdresser was 2 doors from the hotel, and it was without doubt one of the best hotels we have stayed in in Netanya.

William (10/5): Yes, I will stay again! - This hotel is at a great location. It has a fantastic breakfast buffet and, in general, very good service. The hotel is walking distance from the beach (literally go out and walk across the Leonardo's square and done). There are many restaurants at walking distance with a nice and relax evening life.

Edward (6/5): Leonardo Review - Did not realise that our stay did not include breakfast!!! Pool area was very disappointing. Not at all relaxing!! Could not believe that the corridors did not have any windows to allow natural light which we did not like at all. Having said all that the staff were very friendly and helpful but if we were to stay at the Leonardo again it would only be as a base not a holiday.
Verified traveler (6/5): - For a new hotel it is not well maintained, we had a filthy balcony, mold in the shower, dripping air conditioner causing the wallpaper to start falling off the wall. We also had a couple of cockroaches in our room and ants. The furniture was pretty badly stained as well. The hotel staff doesn't know what is going on, the entire time we were told conflicting answers to our questions, and when we brought this up they really don't care. Hopefully they can fix the problems, it could be a nice hotel with a great location.

Albert (2/5): Experience at Leonardo Plaza Netania. - I was staying in the room 403 for three nights. The first night i was very tired from the 10 hour N.Y.- Tel Aviv flight and was sleeping like a dead dog, but then the very next day i started to feel that there is something really wrong with my throat. I started coughing and my nasal passages closed. I started to feel very sick. I know, am allergic to a sewage gases. There was a terrible sewage smell coming out of the shower room. I complained and the staff immediately sent someone to fix it. The staff at the hotel was trying to fix it for 2 days but all was for nothing. They tried to give me a different room, but that new room had also similar smell. It was terrible! I had to close the opening in the shower with the wet towel. When i was opening the outside window trying to bring some fresh air the ac was stopping to work. I feel sorry with whoever gets into this room, or similar room with similar problem at this hotel. The staff was trying really hard to help, but couldn't. I think, it is an engineering problem the building has. The restaurant was very good and clean. During dinner, since i can't eat grapes, I was given a tour by a rep during dinner what does and doesn't contain traces of grapes. This was amazing, and I really appreciate that! Hotel's staff was trying really hard to help. They acknowledged the nuisance of smell. Hope, the hotel fixes the smell issues in the guest room showers.

Irena (6/5): Disappointing - Although the hotel seems to be new and fresh, some small things spoil it.there are no tubs in room and the drain in the shower kept getting clogged. The bed was made sloppy...and overall room cleanliness was poor. There was NO parking...which meant that i had to park a block away and haul my things, stroller with my baby to the hotel. The neighbourhood was terrible: extremely noisy and cheap. Dirty streets with old buildings with neon lights flasshing in the window all night long. Scary drunks sitting on the curb..very disapointing. Overall the hotel was ok in itself if taken out of the area and given a parking space. They can work harder on better housekeeping tho.

Theodor (2/5): Never Again - Would have been ok, but they had overbooked and when we turned up there was not a room available, we had specifically booked this hotel as it was in the centre and alot of our friends who had also come for a wedding were staying there!! They put us up in another hotel which was about 6 miles away in the middle of no where!! We spoke to hotels.com with whom we made the booking who have been most unhelpful about compensation, and we are considering taking them to court and will certainly not book anything through them again I presume that this review will not be posted by hotels.com
David (6/5): Our four day stay - This is a new hotel in an old building and they have made a good job of it, but not enough car parking spaces (12 max) The breakfast food quality and quantity was also good, but dining room layout was poor, with little thought being given as to how the buffet was organised, and staff management almost non-existent. Buffet items were allowed to completely run out before eventually being replenished. Room cleanliness could be better, no dusting above body height appeared to have been done in a long while. There were no flanels provided and no paper tissues. The latter materialised on request. My wife reported that there was no toilet tissue in the lobby toilet for a period of at least 5 hours, and there are no toilet facilities at all on either the restaurant floor or the pool floor or the Exec lounge. The executive lounge is attractive and well laid out, but stocked with the wrong kind of food at the wrong time of day. The food in this lounge was never changed from day to day and only 20% of it during the day. There were no knives to spread butter or anything else that needed spreading.The selection of drinks in the lounge was plentiful and of a decent quality. One member of staff in the Exec lounge (Eden)was outstanding in her helpfulness and pleasant to talk to. They need more like her. We would stay again if standards do not deteriorate and preferably improve.
Verified traveler (8/5): Great location - Location was great, walking distance to the beach and on the promenade. Very clean room and good service. Only down side was the parking. Not enough for every guest and not easy to find. Otherwise, executive lounge was very good with nice view and refreshments.
Eran (4/5): Good property mired by poor maintenance / operatio - Amateur hour... I'll start with the good stuff: 1. New property, spacious and well appointed rooms 2. Great breakfast (i mean, seriously big selection!) The not-so-good: Maintenance, Maintenance, and poor customer service 1. 1st night: Mouldy smell in shower - I aired the shower thinking it would go away. It didn't. 2. 2nd night: TV doesn't work (first time i tried). Due to late hour, no engineering and no TV 3. 4th night: No cleaning of the room!!! Hotel claimed room was in "reservation limbo" which was not true, since the TV (that worked) showed the "welcome mr. xxxx" message which ONLY appears on first power-up after check-in... I do not appreciate misinformation... 4. 8:10 am on check out day: A knock (8:10 am...) - Housekeeping came to clean up ON CHECKOUT DAY... 5. 8:25 am on check out day: (while in the shower) A knock and DOOR OPEN - Housekeeping again! A Big no-no, especially once told not to clean. At this point it Blew my mind, i quickly packed and went downstairs to complain. My complaint was recorded and I was promised I would hear from customer service. Hasn't happened (4 calendar days, 2 business days) Hence the miserable customer service rating. If only they had called...Its a shame poor maintenance and ancient hospitality practices mire an otherwise good property. This operator has over 20 hotels in the country and you'd expect it would reflect on their standard but that hasn't happened in this guest's experience.
Marian (10/5): Leonardo stay in Natanya - Hotel was lovely and a great location. Reviews said it was hard to park as hotel has no parking, however we had no problem parking day or evening. If you are able to use the business center there is food and coffee, drinks available all the time. Service was excellent - staff are typical of Istaeli's a bit cold but warm up if you smile. Overall a great stay and would absolutely return
