Guest Reviews
- Clare (6/5): - A tidy, clean hotel and polite staff
- Jonna (6/5): - No place to eat in the hotel. They did have a good truck outside wasn’t interested in the food truck. The first day no room service we asked but it was too late. The second day we got room service but they did not replenish our coffee and supplies.
- Johnny (4/5): - The hotel itself is 1 star (or less), but the staff was super friendly and worked hard to make the rooms clean, at least as much as could be expected considering the condition of the hotel.
Restaurant was closed for "renovations", which probably helped extend our life expectancy as we dodged that bullet.
The building is well past it's prime, everything is falling apart, leaking, or coming apart at the seams. The AC didn't work properly, it just made a noise like a metal chair thrown into a jet engine and leaked water all over the carpet.
It's pretty much just another dive hotel only suitable for rig workers. Shame, it used to be kinda nice when I was a kid.
- Hugh (8/5): - The hotel is under new management And the restaurant is closed , the roof is being re done , the room was ok , no. Phones , and the tv service is Roku over all the price is ok . Would not book again
- Larry (8/5): - Restaurant was under renovation
- Wayne (10/5): - Under New Management - I'd say it was due!
- Shannon (6/5): Tamarack - So the hotel is very dated tiles in the bathroom ceiling were falling down air conditioning wasn’t the greatest new beds and pillows are needed I have never been to a hotel that has brown towels and they weren’t even bath towels!
Customer service was superb!!!!!!!!!!
- Les (8/5): - Amazing staff, very accommodating with late reservations .disappointed that restaurant is not open as it advertises breakfast as included on website, but in fact that is not provided. Otherwise a good place to stay.
- Cindy (2/5): - I didn’t like one thing !! The place was sooo bad we had a 2 night stay . Booked out the next morning!! Could not stay another night !! No restaurant! No anything ! Banging on the roof !! Terrible !! They said we had Queen bed but it was Doulble !! It did not say it was TOTALLY horrible!!
- Wayne (10/5): - Nice place to stay, very friendly staff
I negative point
Room wasnt made up the second day we spen there, no clean towel
Overall very good
- Will (6/5): - When I opened the room door , I IMMEDIATELY had a musty smell in the room
- Lynn (6/5): - The property was undergoing some renovations when we were there. The restaurant wasn’t available. Our room wasn’t cleaned the first night that we were there and I feel for that the price we paid we should’ve had more amenities available to us. The staff were very kind and welcoming.
- Marty (6/5): - This place is very over priced.
- Phillip (6/5): - We stayed there as we were passing through town, and the hotel was reasonably priced. Other hotels in the area were over 200.
The room was clean. It is an older hotel which needs a lot of upkeep but can see the potential.
Staff were really efficient with check in and check out.
- Mark (6/5): - Helpful host staff but tired older hotel
- Debbie (6/5): - Restaurants close by
- Sydney (8/5): - Stay was decent
- Mary (4/5): - Staff were friendly
Very run down
I would NOT stay there again
- Christie (2/5): - The room stunk and was visually creepy
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Hotel was dingy smelled of smoke and mold
- Tammy (8/5): - Bed was comfortable
Room was clean
- Loriann (6/5): - 👎They didnt read the notes/requests. We didnt get a room we booked with a hide a bed and they seemingly didnt know we had a dog (all was in notes).
👍It was nice they didnt charge us extra for the dog.
👎Also, the restaurant was under renovations/closed which wasnt in the hotel info & the rug in our room was old & gathering, 👍 but the bathroom was huge.
👎Their luggage trollies had flat tires which made it difficult to use.
👍The staff was very polite 👎h/e didnt seem to be current with issues & notifications.
👍 Our stay was pleasant enough, 👎just needed better communication & knowledge.
- Brooke (6/5): - Under renovations, heavy Mildew in both rooms
- KARIN (10/5): - Property was nice. Restaurant was closed but plenty of options very close by
- Rene (4/5): - This place was supposed to have a restaurant, but it was closed. The room itself, there was no smoke detector, a little dirty, no emergency numbers, no phone in room, and clock.
- Kim (6/5): - Hotel noted as 8.6 which is wrong should be at4.5
Very dated and unclean
- edward (6/5): Mountain - Average stay cafe under renovation and others parts of Motel being renovated. Staff did call us to let us know we forgot an item
- Paul (4/5): - Did not like
- Sean (4/5): - Booked to have a king/queen but got a double and the handicapped suite. Lamp on the desk sucked. Room was very dark. Bed was not very comfortable.
- Timothy (6/5): - Not worth the price
- Emmanuel (8/5): - Clean and friendly staff
- Audrey (10/5): - Great stay again! Thank you
- David John (4/5): - This use to be ‘the’ hotel to stay at over 40 years ago but now although it claims to be recently renovated we would not take our shoes off unless going to bed and would not shower as the bathroom was not at all up to standards with a torn foam toilet seat and stained carpets throughout
- Deb (10/5): - Onky stayed one night.Looks a little rough on the outside but friendly staff, clean room value for money
- Phil (10/5): - Very helpful staff and close to market
- Leane (10/5): - Good!
- Jillian (6/5): - Room was very run down, needing extensive renovation...., but the sheets snd towels were clean.
The front desk personel were very efficient and very friendly.
- Darlene (8/5): - great
- Lee (6/5): - Check in was easy. Dropped stuff off in room and left. Came back that night to main doors locked and we couldn’t get in the hotel without calling a number and waiting for someone to come and open the door (it was cold and raining boooo). They were nice and friendly - it just sucked we had no idea the front doors would be locked after such a long day. Got up to our room and opened the hide a bed to find broken chips on the blanket … no big deal it happens … opened the bed to put child to sleep - huge yellow stain as if someone had peed on top of the blanket because the bed hadn’t been slept in. There is no phone in the room and no one at the front desk so we had to google the number and call to ask for diff sheets. We got some diff sheets and did not want to switch rooms (that was offered to us but it was late and we were so tired) and the man who brought the diff bedding was very nice. I am just suggesting that staff check/change the beds even tho they don’t look like they have been slept in. The bathroom needs serious updates. However I think these are new owners so those will happen in time - bathroom was clean. Hotel room was clean. Bed was extremely comfortable and I can’t remember much about the tv other than past guests stayed logged in on streaming accounts so we watched some things on that for a few minutes before we went to bed.
- Emmanuel (10/5): - inexpensive,
- Judy (10/5): - The staff is very friendly and go way beyond usual service. We arrived early for our stay, but we’re welcomed in. I asked if there was a laundry I could use and Andrea said she would see we had it done. She arrived at our door, picked up the laundry and did the wash for us! We were very impressed. We would recommend a stay here.
- Judy (10/5): - The property is old but kept up. No restaurant though.
- Jeannine (4/5): - This property is very old and unkept, resulting in an unpleasant overnight stay:
- room smelled musty and smoky upon entry; - window was dirty and had build-up of condensation between window pains, so unable to see clearly out the window;
- window did not have option to open so unable to get fresh air into the room during our stay;
- old, worn, dirty rugs;
- burn holes on chair;
- dark discolouration/appearance of mold growth along grout of tub tiles, as well as bacterial growth on ceiling.
- David (4/5): - Sadly, in the morning we woke up and discovered bed bugs of some sort on our pillows and under the blankets, at that point we gathered and flushed eight of them down the toilet. We had to check further and found food bits under the couch cushions, shaking the cushions, we were treated with a couple more bugs, there was not even blankets on the hide a bed matress. Animal and human hair on the queen bed top blanket. Very poor experience!
- Brandon (10/5): Fantastic and easygoing staff - I’ve stayed everywhere for work, usually changing hotels between my rotation.
Great service, comfortable rooms, fantastic price. And extremely good location for crews.
Quiet and comfy
- Cory (2/5): - Rooms smell like smoke,
Not as pictured, no work out room, spa, restaurant/lounge.
- Derik (10/5): My Experience - It’s a great place to stay for work!
- Deborah (8/5): - The staff were very friendly and helpful. When we checked in we had some difficulty with the TV set-up and the young woman at the front desk came right away to help us. We really enjoyed the stay!
- Hardeep (2/5): - The condition of front from outside was shattered .
The room door has toilet paper in peephole .
I checked in and checked out in next 10-15 mins but the staff didn’t even feel to ask what was the reason to leave hotel so quickly .
- Sam (6/5): - Needs the renovations to be completed to be a more comfortable place with a restaurant.
- louis (4/5): - Toilet water valve would not quit running.
- Paul (10/5): - Great value. Staff and management were very friendly. Room was clean and quiet.
- Jennifer (8/5): - Front desk lady, very kind! Enjoyed my stay for work.
- Carly (10/5): - Friendly staff. Decent rooms. Clean. No complaints here! Definitely would stay again.
- Derek (4/5): - Property is run down and has not been updated at all. The room had stained sheets, and towels, and smelled of smoke.
- Ken (6/5): - Xx
- JOHN (6/5): - The staff were great. The inn was under a change of management and the property needs an upgrade. It is a great location and has a lit of potential.
- Emy (10/5): - Perfect for the price
- Vinod (10/5): - Stayedbcouple days , clean rooms and friendly staff, accommodated my requests for late checkout without any concern. Will stay again.
- Corey (10/5): - Great for an overnight stay. Don't need any frills, extras, just a good room for the night.
Liked it all, especially your staff.
- Ron (10/5): - It was a perfect place to stop for the night the staff was helpful and I had a quiet night
- Randall (6/5): - An OK rate BUT no plugs for tub & sinks. No continental breakfast and weak internet
- Kyla (2/5): - The only staff on site was poorly trained it seemed like, and gave us a room that wasn’t even cleaned yet. Then when we finally got to our room, it reeked of cigarettes and was freezing cold. Also very old hard coil mattress’s, made it hard to actually sleep.
- Byron (8/5): - There was room for our whole group to gather and visit undisturbed.
- Jim (8/5): - Clean and quiet spot
- Jonathan (4/5): - what i like is it is quite, but i don’t know if were the only guest thats why it is quite, what i didn’t like is that the room smells burnt cigarette, the floor matting is dirty looking due to cigarette burnt.
- Judy (10/5): - Peaceful and relaxing - there were a few minor issues with plumbing but loved the stencilled walls and staff were welcoming and kind - really enjoyed a good night’s rest
- Jack (6/5): - The property was clean. However the toilet was running continuously and the room smelled of cigarrette smoke. The place needs a major overhaul, but has reasonable rates and efficient staff.
- Darren (10/5): - Great place to stay when working out of town or just in general good wi-fi hotel is quiet
- Gavin (4/5): - Building was last maintained in 1995 or earlier. Cracked bathroom counter. Leaky taps.
- Dean (6/5): - stay was pleasant and quiet
- William (6/5): - On their website it says there is a dining room and liquor store, but both are closed.I had to fix the toilet so it would flush
- Hisham (2/5): - N/A
- Lorena (8/5): - Close to the mountain
- Marco (8/5): - Good price, comfortable bed. Friendly staff
- John (6/5): - The countet staff was extremely kind and helpful
- Marlene (6/5): - The hotel is in need of a complete makeover! The room smelled like cigarette smoke. Smelled very stale! The walls need paint, carpet needs cleaning, toilet kept running after each flush! The restaurant was closed due to ownership change we were told! Came outside to a homeless person sleeping rough on the corner! Would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy!!!
- Don (8/5): - Staff very courteous
- Miranda (4/5): - Cons: Rooms smell like smoke. Bathtubs are disgusting. Location is iffy.
Pros: Front lobby is cute and staff are nice. The beds were comfy.
- Danae (6/5): - The staff were very kind and the best part of staying here. Building is dated but does the job! Near a 7-11 and a Sobeys. I would stay again if in a pinch.
- William (8/5): - It's a functionable but old building but the restaurant was closed .
- Himmat (10/5): - Awesome
- Jenny (6/5): - The room is very average, I wish the tv is infront of the bed. Overall it’s ok for one night :)
- Guy John (10/5): - The restraunt was not open
- Brie (6/5): - The staff were fantastic, very fast and friendly. The room was clean, but the window is fixed so it felt stuffy, the water pressure was almost non existent and the ice machine was broken leaving no option for ice.
- Breanna (10/5): - Was a nice stay
- Kristine Mae (4/5): - Quite pricey for what it's worth. Staffs are helpful.
Hotel needs some good carpet cleaning because it smells musty.
Resto was closed but there are lots of places to eat nearby.
- Christopher (10/5): - I liked the added touch of dishes and cookware included with the room.
- Chris (10/5): - Very friendly staff and helpful. Great job!
- Mario (10/5): - Property location is very convenient.
- Diane (6/5): - The restaurant was closed, after it advertised a dining room/restaurant attached, the outside was unkept, tall grass all over. Room was kept clean, but the rooms were small. Couldnt watch TV for it had ROKU, they should keep cable.
- Terrance (10/5): - We were there for the Christian Motorcycle association and the staff was very accommodating. They were friendly also. Will stay there next year at the 2025 seasons of refreshing.
- Tim (6/5): - Very dated motel in Rocky. Reasonably comfortable beds and pillows. Bathtub continually dripped water, very low ceilings on the first floor level. The rear of the building backs onto a school so the view is nice.
- Travis (6/5): - It was nice for a older hotel rooms we cold
- nolan (8/5): - staff was so friendly and welcoming
- Randall (8/5): - Need to update bathroom and remove mould
- Jaime (10/5): - I had minimal expectations as the cost was nice and low.
The staff were super friendly. There was a dog barking next to us for a bit. We left for dinner and came back and made a comment at the front desk. They said they had remedied the situation already.
We had a nice quiet stay for a great price.
Will go back again when in that neck of the woods.
- Nadiya (8/5): - Nice that they have pet friendly rooms for those who visit with furry friends
- Anna (8/5): - Staff were nice and helpful, room was clean.
- Courtney (10/5): - Love this place! Super accommodating for my two dogs and lovely room. Definitely recommend 😊
