• Van Den Berg (7/5): Millicent is a roughly shaped gem with glorious history. - It had a front and back door, so that we could let the room air for a while. No one was smoking near our not in the back area where there were tables and chairs. Facility was a bit tired looking and could use some programmed maintenance, but it was clean and usable Limited information available in the motel regarding facilities in the town for eating or points of interest.

• MARION (8/5): We enjoyed it, and yes, I would be back again - It’s not a bad place to stay. I did enjoy it. The property was clean tidy. I didn’t like that. The pool was out of order for the first two days when we got there then when we did actually get to swim in the pool it wasn’t clean but it was our choice to swim.

• KEITH (4/5): Budget room as expected but cleanliness( or lack of) was unexpected and unsettling - We were aware the room was a budget room. Facilities were fine - tv was good and offerred options; bed was really comfortable, tea and coffee making , plates, cutlery all provided, car park at front door. Bathroom, was very dated but passable but was not clean- stains on walls and shower floor but previous occupants hair was still evident on shower walls- which was not acceptable.

• Philip (4/5): - It's a standard motel, nothing special. The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly, mould in the shower and dirty streaks on glass and on the basin and tap. The shower head was terrible too, mostly blocked. Needs cleaning out or replacing. Woke with a sore back from a curved mattress. Also didn't like being forced to look at a Buddha picture overlooking our bed. Any accommodation in Australia should be religion neutral. We removed the picture off the wall.

• Bethany (7/5): Although the exterior initially appears somewhat dated and uninviting, the interior rooms are a pleasant surprise. The a - Tidy, well presented rooms with excellent detail to design. The tapware appeared quite worn and needed fixing, and the shower would benefit from regrouting. Additionally, the glassware was noticeably dirty and greasy.

• Nat (1/5): Just keeping driving pass. - This motel needs some love and cleaning. We stayed in Room 10 which is a family room. We had 2 adults and 2 children ( 2 year old and a 8 week old) 1. The room we stayed in had to be aired out as it smelled musty 2. There was mold growing on the hallway ceiling and the chipboard in the wardrobe. 3. The bathroom needed a good clean and the shower wasn’t usable due to how unclean it was and the pink and black mould growing in it. 4. The bedding smelled. The quilt I couldnt sleep with smelled like some guys sweaty BO. 5. None of the crockery was clean We wasn’t expecting much but we didn’t think it would be this bad. If you can’t get any other accommodation in town just keep on driving. Was not worth what we paid for the night. If we could have we would have stayed somewhere else unfortunately we didn’t have that option as it was during the Christmas break and everywhere else was sold out.

As soon as water got on the bathroom floor it was too slippery for me to stand on. I am aged and can't afford to fall so I couldn't have a shower. There were irritating mechanical noises going late into the night. The pool was advertised on the website but I wasn't allowed to use it. One door didn't close properly so I thought I was locked securely inside but found out in the morning I wasn't. I couldn't use the TV and don't know why.

• Alanah (2/5): A very budget accommodation facility - Sandpipers is in a fantastic location. Nice and close to everything! It is VERY outdated. The room wasn't overly clean and the bed was so uncomfortable. It was the only accommodation we could find to fit our large family last minute so we were grateful for that, but I probably wouldn't book again if I'm being honest.

• Chris (5/5): Would not stay again - Location Overall property is very unkept, grounds and garden overgrown with weeds etc, glass doors and windows to Reception area in need of good clean, all smeary, shelves in Room dusty, bathroom sink and tap ware in need of good scrub, cobwebs and dead insects and dirt on window sills, opposite our room looked onto the bins and rubbish Very disappointing….we stayed here a few years ago, at the time it was in need of refurbishment, but there were no problems at all with the cleanliness of the motel anywhere.

The managers were super helpful... including picking us up from the pub when we couldn't get a taxi!!!! Super kind. Doesn't look the best on the outside but inside is comfortable.
