- fitriani (8/5): It was a pleasant stay, as I regularly choose this hotel. I will stay here again on my next visit to - The breakfast menu was good, but it took a while for the staff to refill the empty dishes. Some of the room facilities need to be repaired, such as the sink drainage, as the water did not flow properly. We also had difficulty opening the room’s front door.

- EdDaus (2/5): End to end debacle!!! Not ready for business. - Very poor service. The room remained uncleaned 7.5 hours after a 5:30 AM housekeeping request. A pizza order took 75 minutes to arrive cold, despite two reminders. Staff were unable to understand or respond to my complaint in English. NEXT MORNING… A catastrophic and deeply concerning service failure that raises serious questions about how this hotel is run and how its staff are managed. The debacle continued the very next morning, following the failures outlined in my previous review. I requested a knife to cut the uncut bread. Staff appeared to understand, but then walked away, disappeared, and behaved as though the conversation had never occurred. This cycle repeated with two different staff members. A fluent English Indonesian speaker then clearly explained my request for two five minute boiled eggs. What arrived were cold, hard boiled eggs. After a second explanation, the replacements arrived raw. By that point, the toast was cold. Bizarrely, the uncut bread and knife, both previously claimed to be unavailable, suddenly appeared. There were not even knives available in the restaurant to accompany the forks. This was not an isolated incident but a clear and consistent breakdown in communication, basic service delivery, and staff accountability. I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and I have never encountered anything this dysfunctional.

- Finnie (7/5): Good but not perfect. - The breakfast has a big variety of food. There are a lot of choices for local food and western food. There are enough room for everyone, not very crowded. There is a small supermarket nearby, very convenient. The bed is much too softer. I have to sleep on the floor for two days. And it's very noisy even at midnight.

- Marina (5/5): Clean room and good view - It was apparently the best hotel in Madiun I had a great treatment at the spa There were a lot of events happening while we were there, the pool area was blocked off for a private function, there were military everywhere doing activities, there was someone yelling into a microphone for games and another person singing loudly into a microphone. We must have hit a very very busy day. Couldn’t eat cake in the cafe had to take it to my room very sure military had the cafe booked for a private function. It’s very hard to understand what is happening, no signs in English explaining anything
- BagusW (8/5): Revisit After Nearly a Decade - This is the first time I came to this hotel again after almost a decade. My previous, and first, visit was way back in 2015. And that too was by accident as there was a last-minute change of my travel plan at the time. Anyway, unlike the previous stay, I stayed for several nights this time to get a better feel for the hotel's general service. Overall, the service meets all the expectations. The general level of cleanliness is good. The breakfast variety is good. The level of comfort is acceptable. But I do notice some wear and tear in parts of the hotel's premises. While my first arrival in this hotel in 2015 felt majestic, it was average this time. It seems that the hotel has lost its shine. The hotel breakfast menu isn't actually impressive. But the presence of sausages and potatoes saves the day. If there's something disappointing about the stay, it has to be the pillows. I noticed some pillows were too thick and too hard, which caused headaches. Some are too thin. This sadly reduces the overall enjoyment of staying in this hotel. Regardless, my Japanese friends who came along with me was very satisfied with overall stay in this hotel. I too would actually love to come back here again if I revisit Madiun.

- Malong (4/5): much to improve - Much to improve The hotel would be nice but there is so much to improve: - Brown water coming from the pipes - dirty mattresses with dark brown stains - no complementary water - they say for the environment they don’t use plastic bottles and you can get water from dirty water dispensers outside the rooms, mine was empty and disgusting . - rug is filthy and full of stains Breakfast was ok and the sky bar is nice.

We were greeted by Mas Benny as the frontliner there. The rooms are clean and very neat, and at breakfast it is also very good and the menu is very complete, and thank you to Chef Subardi who welcomed and suggested the special menu at Aston Madiun. we will come back another time.

Breakfast was great and has many varieties. You have took a pic. of us trying a mushroom chicken. The window !!!! I sleep in extra bed by the window and it's making squeaky sound.. scary 😖 to hear it.. feel like the building will collapse anytime. Then the room carpet, making the room look dull (I'm not a fan of carpet anyway) 😅

- N (7/5): They should provide more non-smoking rooms for guests who prefer to have ones. - The breakfast was awesome! Many choices and variety. Booking non-smoking rooms but getting the smoking rooms instead. Although they tried to eliminate the odor, but the smell was noticeable.
- Ayu (7/5): An okay hotel in central Madiun - Location is central and room facilities are good. Beds are large and comfy. Rooms are spacious. There are plenty of food varieties to choose from at breakfast. The swimming pool and children playground are good. Car parking is good. Plenty of small restaurants nearby the hotel. Poor soundproofing and we could hear noises from other rooms. Some of the food at breakfast are just tasteless (e.g. for black sticky rice and mung bean porridge, tha coconut milk should be sweet, not plain and tasteless). Egg station portions were too small. Lifts are slow even though there were 3 or 4 lifts. The hotel entry sign should be made clearer (facing the 2 sides of the road instead of just 1 side) and bigger since there is another hotel next to it and it can be confusing especially at night. Cleanliness should be improved especially when cleaning the rooms.

- sadilala (6/5): A fair choice for a quick stopover on your way to somewhere else - Good location. Not good views. Although the food is reasonably good the service is incredibly slow and quite poor. First of all, rather than seating us the waitress recommended we go to another restaurant outside the hotel rather than eat at the hotel restaurant. We then waited almost 1.5 hours for our dinner, which was difficult with hungry children. Dishes then came out one by one with 10 minute+ intervals in-between. One dish was brought out with chillies all over the top of it even though we requested it not spicy at all. We then waited an additional 45 minutes for the replacement dish. After 45 minutes we asked the waitress where it was and she said she had “forgotten” about it and it had been sitting on the pass. She seemed to be annoyed that we had asked for a replacement, rather than actually forgetting that it was ready. Drinks came out 30 mins after the first lot of food. Like the food, they also came out one at a time with very long intervals in-between. The restaurant called our room a lot for silly things - 30 mins after we had paid and left the restaurant they called our room to ask if we had finished eating or if we were coming back, and if they could clear our table. They forgot to get a signature for something and called repeatedly 3 times in a row just to tell us they had forgotten to get a signature but that we didn’t need to do anything about it. They also knocked on the door quite late at night wanting a signature to authorise that the bill for room service for one of our rooms be joined with another of our rooms, even though all rooms were booked under the same name on the same credit card and we had had our room service almost an hour before that. Breakfast buffet has a good selection. Rooms are quite spacious. Decor could be better - its a bit barren. A fair choice for a quick stopover on your way to somewhere else

- Arga (7/5): Currently, the hotel is considered one of the best in the town. However, if the services continue to remain the same and - The Aston Hotel Madiun was one of the largest hotel properties in the area, offering ample parking space. However, some parking spots were not very comfortable. The hotel staff was helpful and friendly, and the cleanliness of the hotel was above average. The biggest issue was with the elevators, which were difficult to handle due to their small size. When the elevator reached full capacity, all the buttons were replaced by a sensor, causing people to accidentally press all the buttons. Additionally, the small size of the elevator meant that only a few hotel customers could fit at a time. During peak season, this led to long waiting times of more than 15 minutes, even for quick trips like going to the gym or grabbing a bite to eat. The rooms were decent, though they can improve on the cleanliness. The hotel rooms had a dimly lit design, which personally didn't suit my taste. The lighting was insufficient and the overall atmosphere was darker than I preferred. some of the air conditioning units in some of the rooms weren't very effective in cooling the room. However, the hotel staff was quick to assist and arranged room switches promptly. The food at the hotel, especially at the Café on the top floor, was delicious. Unfortunately, the waiting areas near the convenience store and some of the Cafés were dimly lit and filled with people smoking, resulting in an unpleasant smell permeating the area. elevator.
