Guest Reviews
- Gillian (1/5): Avoid if you can - Location Noisy & run down. Not worth what we paid for rooms
- Remport (7/5): - Easy to reach with metro from the train station.
Lot of nice area are nearby (University, Botanic Gardens).
We could leave our luggage at the place before check in!!! The floor in the room is a little strange. The carpet is soft and good, but uneven.
For a bigger person, the showers door can be a little narrow.
- Julie (5/5): convenient and nice staff but loud and didn't sleep well - good room with ensuite it was very loud, could hear the people in room next door very clearly throughout evening and early morning and birds nesting in roof could hear them scratching so sleep was difficult
- Florindi (7/5): - Prefect location, clean, nice staff A bit loud
- David (8/5): - The lady in reception was very pleasant and very helpful. Everything was fine
- Dermot (10/5): -
- Kelvin (10/5): -
- sajmir (10/5): Very good - Very clean Nothing
- Michael (6/5): -
- Robert (4/5): Staff friendly and helpful. The.room was small and dated. - Close to a good coffee shop and nice park Room was tiny and uninviting
- Marisel (8/5): -
- Wooton (10/5): -
- Michele (10/5): Polite staff & clean - Warm , spotless comfy beds tea coffee kettle Lack off parking but that’s city centres everywhere
- Kalemba (7/5): My stay was normal - Normal conditions
Heating system was acceptable
Toillets very nice No iron board
- Maria (6/5): Definitely some refurbished/deep cleaning would be good, but you get what you pay for. Stayed for a night only, affo - The area is very nice, with good restaurants/cafes, nice people to welcome you. 😊 It was affordable and very good location. Only downside was, that noise from the bathroom. I think it’s from the other room’s bathroom (the water goes back to the water tank after the flush). But only for a minute, during night can wake you up.
- Edyta Sobolewska (7/5): Okay for a one night sleepover - Great location, helpful staff let us leave our luggage before check in time Very dark room, not much space and it wasn't very clean. Also bad odor from the bathroom.
- Andrew (4/5): - Good location So many things broken in the room....Shabby without the Chic.....🙄
- william (5/5): -
- Dermot (10/5): -
- zajac (5/5): - Location No chair, no dresser, no window
- Enrique (2/5): Forgetable one. - If to have a place to place your body to have a rest means well, then that was the only thing..... Not fair to you, but it has only your side of the winning experience, its purpose is to make money.....how much you provide to satisfy your lodgers,.....well........
- Douglas (7/5): -
- Francis (9/5): - An excellent location, very friendly host and a clean and comfortable room for a very reasonable price for such a central part of the west end of Glasgow.
- Dermot (10/5): -
- Julian (6/5): Nice enough place, will use again but not in a rush - Nice comfortable bed, surprisingly quiet part of the city The noise through the paper-thin walls and the noise from the neighbours

- Lana (10/5): Great location - Lovely hosts . Excellent location Pillow was too hard for our preference. The host happily changed them.
- Roland (8/5): Es war ein angenehmer ruhiger Aufenthalt in einer einfachen, freundlichen Unterkunft. -
- Morag (8/5): - Great location, really clean and helpful staff Slopping ceiling was very steep an couldn’t watch TV due to slope. Stairs were very steep to the room
- Johanna (7/5): - Très bien localisé, à proximité de l'université, parc, restaurant et pubs propreté
- Sophie (2/5): You get what you pay for I guess - Close to shops and bars/pubs. Staff were friendly and helpful Heard mice or rats or something scuttling about early hours of the morning above us. Definitely was not a human
- Dermot (10/5): - I've been staying here for work, and the staff are always welcoming, friendly and go above and beyond to make my stay comfortable.
- Matt (8/5): -
- James (7/5): Conveniently located and good value for money. - Good value for money considering the location, with lots of places to visit nearby. Welcoming staff, deds were comfortable and room was reasonably clean. It was practical for a brief stop-over before travelling onwards to the Highlands. The bathroom had a bit of wear and tear, but that's to be expected for this price bracket. Whilst there are no breakfast facilities, the area is surrounded by cafes, shops and a nice independent bakery.
- claudio (9/5): - good
- YUNONG (10/5): Very good experience! - Good location, friendly owner.
- Guha (5/5): - First of all, the room that we got was not the room that was displayed on the website. I felt cheated because I paid money for a triple room and there was barely any room to stand in that room. Secondly, if you're going to have your check in at 3pm in the afternoon, you shouldn't have your check out at 10am the next day. The staff was excellent though. That's the only thing you have going for you
- Saskia (5/5): -
- philippe (8/5): super emplacement pour viister glasgow et bon rapport qualié/prix - emplacement et rapport qualité/prix vétusté générale, vue sur arrière cour assez morbide;
- Margaret (5/5): I realise that our 2 night stay was cheap, but feel that Booking.com needs to vet the basics. - The towels and bed linen were clean. There was coffee, tea, sugar and milk provided. It was within reach of lovely bakery , sports bar (noisy tho), and good Italian restaurant.
The landlady kindly swapped us into a downstairs room, as there was only one handrail in the stairs, and that made going upstairs too hard for me.
I woul like to think that this room was not up to the standard of the room intended for us….. The whole place looks to have potential, but needs upgrading, carpets, furniture, curtains. The entrance hall needs refurbishing and the carpet cleaning and vacuuming.
In the bedroom : There was no mattress cover. There was only one chair, but no comfortable chair. The furniture is really outdated and the carpet needs attention. There was what looked like mould in the corner of the ceiling.
In the bathroom : the sink was badly cracked, there was nowhere to hang anything (wash stuff, nightwear etc), there was the broken remains of one hook on the door, , there was no shelf to put sponge bag on. The toilet roll holders were out of reach. The shower floor was extremely slippery and there was not a grab rail. The temperature of the water was uncontrollable.
The fan , though efficient, was really loud and stayed on a long time.
Being by the front door was very noisy, as when anyone left, the door slammed very loudly.

- Sarah (5/5): - Sehr nettes Personal
- Mark (6/5): -
- Yolanda (10/5): -
- Jan (7/5): - Bathroom could use a redo
Heater in room cannot be controlled, randomly gets really hot
WiFi the worst I have experienced in ages, poor signal & very unstable

- Gianluca (6/5): -
- Douglas (8/5): -
- Lucas (8/5): Perfect for sleep and shower. - The cost benefit, very good price and located in the middle of West End, near everything. The staff was amazing and always willing to help. The room was recently painted.
Awesome place to sleep and shower, nothing fancy and that's all what I needed. We could hear steps from the rooms above.
- Bairbre (6/5): Babs Éirinn - Expensive for quality... Friendly staff..area very suitable for tourist.. very cramped. Yet pleasant visit Shared already... Space and value... 10£ for late check in.. Must be highlighted by booking.com... not fair!!
- Falissah (7/5): -
- Alessandra (10/5): - La stanza è piccola ed accogliente, il bagno nuovissimo e la posizione è perfetta.
La palazzina bellissima in un quartiere stupendo e fornito perfettamente
- Johnston (8/5): Wee West End gem, perfect for an overnighter if in town for a night out - Stayed here 5 times and have seen some real bad reviews, I can honestly say I think this place is great for 1 or 2 nights. It doesn’t pretend to be something it isn’t, it is great for the West End, literally 2 mins from subway, pubs and cafes right next door. It’s clean, cheap and owners super friendly.
I visit the area regularly for nights out and this wee gem is just perfect 😊😊😊 Nothing I didn’t like
- Marian (10/5): I felt culled out as I was feeling tired after walking here from the train station. Watched t v and I slept well . And i - Nice and clean All ok
- M.Belo (6/5): - Locatie Kleine kamer, en een slechte douche
- Ellen (10/5): Good hotel in Glasgow - The property is located on a very quiet area and near supermarket and coffee shops , bus stops, nice pubs and good restaurants. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Higher recommended for house of Glasgow Everything was fine and pleasant
- Angela (7/5): -
- Michael (6/5): Convenient and low priced - Location Very tired
- Val (7/5): The hotel is in a very convenient location and provides value for money. - The hotel is well located in the student area with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The room and all the linen were very clean, the shower was hot and there was a secure WiFi connection, so it met my requirements and was value for money. Available alternatives would have cost a lot more. The building is old and in need of refurbishment. It wouldn’t suit anyone wanting more luxurious surroundings.
- Kate (7/5): Great value for money - Great location for exploring the West End of Glasgow
- James (10/5): Great wee spot. - I arrived a day late due to my flight being cancelled however the kind people kept my booking and I was able to check in the next day.
It was close to the venue and it was cozy.
- Syed Ali Mohammed (10/5): -
- RICHARD (10/5): -
- Friederike (7/5): Good value for money in excellent location - There was a very friendly welcome, our room was clean and the bed comfortable. It's an excellent location with Kelvinbridge Subway Station, lots of cafes and restaurants, Kelvingrove museum and botanical garden in close proximity. Good value for money and we'd defintely book it again.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good value ,basic but clean, great location - Plug in sink
- Berte Boelsgaard (5/5): -
- Marie (8/5): -
- Geoffrey (8/5): -
- Barry (5/5): Fine for well-travelled street-smart visitors who are not frightened by outward appearances - Location. Price. Toiletries. Heating. Looks rough even dodgy — graffiti on sign —from outside. Reception is equally rough in appearance . Carpet in room needs complete renewal.
- Annalisa (6/5): - La posizione centrale, staff gentile e disponibile Il bagno in camera troppo piccolo e vecchio: lavandino minuscolo, mattonelle rotte. Se non siete schizzinosi però può andare bene
- Maria (6/5): Bien pero el aparcamiento fatal - El señor de la recepción era majisimo No se puede aparcar por la zona gratis mínimo 15 min andando
- Danny (7/5): - Needed a bed local for the night and it did the job. Clean bedding and quiet room.
- Maria Csilla (7/5): -

- Dermot (10/5): - Staff are always welcoming and friendly
- susan (8/5): OK for a night or two - Fairly comfortable bed, lots of hot water. Great location for the west end, local facilities and transport links. Room was located at the back, so quiet at night. Wifi not that good. Room was small and tired looking as was the rest of the hotel. Shower temperature temperamental. Cctv cameras everywhere which some people might like but felt like big brother watching.
- Dermot (10/5): - Welcoming and friendly staff . I much appreciate
